Turned it off but it won't turn on second time... if this sound familiar to you I can help :) It happens when your antivirus locate crack and decide to delete or lock it away. It is standard fare with Empress cracks. So just open whatever antivirus that you are using and locate quarantine section, might be called differently but it is just a function that disable any suspiciouse files. You restore it and it should also give it exeption from antivirus checks. Of course you can just decide to not play this game but honestly Empress craks are pretty well known for their false positives so it should be fine. Talking also from my own experience across bunch of different pirated games.
You could also preemptivly tell to your antivirus to let game folder be alone. Only do this if you actually have few experiences with pirated games. There are now and then some dumbos that download different file so it could prove fatal for them.
whenever i tried to install/launch the game,my antivirus says the EMP.dll file is a virus. also,a file that is a long string of letters/numbers pops up that is 0 kb in size and also triggers my antivirus.it's my first cracked game with empress so is this normal or is it actually infected?
Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a vírus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

Anyone else get poor depth of field no matter if you turn it on or not. I guess that's the problem. When I look far away it looks like a cardboard cutout. Really someting I never got in any of the YAkuza games I've ever played.
This crack stopped working. I have redownloaded and reinstalled many times over.. The game just minimizes now, and refuses to stay off the task bar. Most of Empresses cracks do this, though.. I don't get it.
The game was working normally my first time. The second time, the game crashed and didn't work anymore. I reinstalled again but it's not working. The problem started because the EMP.dll file disappeared (I don't know how it happened, it could have been the antivirus?). Can anyone help?
This doesn't seem to be a common problem judging from the other comments...which sucks. :( My PC is slightly more powerful than Xbox One X. Not the most powerful PC out, but it should be able to run this game just fine. I checked the temperature of my pc and it's not overheating or anything...The only thing I can think to do is add more ram since I only have 8GB.
I don't think RAM would put the game on a total crash, it should gave us heavy FPS drop like always instead. And yeah pther seems to run it just fine. Is ypur driver up to date by the way?

So any luck? I tried playing it on Medium but it keeps crashing on me. My PC is crap but it can run Kiwami fine. (with occasional stutters) I think Like A Dragon simply doesn't allow such stutters as it simply shut itself down.
My game's run just fine although i only play with everything set at low except the texture is high... i'm able to run it around 20 fps and having a blast with the game But the downside of it is that the QTE system like when you need to press button at the right time to dodge or to get extra damage is a bit more challenging

I reached a part where I can play the arcade game of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and for some reason I can only move and not attack. Is this a problem with the game or the crack is possibly causing problems? Asking in case I reach a part that makes the main game unplayable later on.

Everyone's gonna tell you yes because you'll miss out on a lot of references and world building stuff, but I think it's totally fine to play this blind. It's a new protagonist and a bit of a departure in the gameplay department anyway. Like, what is he supposed to do, play Yakuza 0,1,2,3,4,5 and 6, then come back a year later and play this? Lol. If it looks like your cup of tea, just play it now.
To be fair Codex was never big in cracking DRM games. They go after non DRM games or leaked files the devs accidentally released on day 1.Its been a long time since ive seen CPY release anything, I think the last game I downloaded by them was Nier Automata.

Whether Empress is right or not is irrelevant. Empress is at the end of the day part of a community, and is more interested in making enemies than in making friends. Consider this: Empress could be sharing discoveries with the other groups and get more games cracked faster, even if they don't all have Empress's name on them. Problem is Empress doesn't really care about progress. Empress cares about fame, money, and being king of the pirates. Cracking Denuvo was a way to get all of that. Progress was just a side effect to this guy. In the long run, that's a problem.
Let's just hope it stays that way. Before getting knocked down a peg, Empress was starting to imply that nobody should be able to vet or scan the cracks but Empress, and there was even talk of charging to release cracks. The power trip was starting to spiral, which would really quickly make people start giving a shit since the games would start end up having a price of some kind. Looks like that's not happening now but it got scary for a bit.
What more scarier is the possibility of Empress going legal, being a high-key player, the legal groups could tempt Empress to work for them instead, after all they would at least pay.

I have faith that this game will be just as amazing, I just don't know how I feel about the turn base style. Kinda liked the way I could string moves along in a flow. But 7 entries in, I guess it's time to shake things up.
It's honestly very well done and surprised the hell out of me how fun the core mechanics and job class switch system (the description never went into full detail with that feature) It plays alot like Final Fantasy VII Remake's classic/turn based mode if you ever used that or tried it once.
Exactly why they went for it. The team was burned out on making 7 of the same game. Funny thing is Yakuza always had the basic framework of a JRPG outside of its beat-em-up combat system (which still involved leveling up and unlocking abilities). They just went the extra mile by making it turn-based this time.

Funniest thing is that there are people who don't know that Yakuza's been an RPG series the whole time. Literally the only difference is its combat system was beat-em-up instead of turn-based until now.
they have deicded after judgement is done to make this rpg format the main series. it's their best selling yakuza game to date. globally. not just in Japan, but globallly.
I usually go on YouTube to watch some review for other games, but not for Yakuza, been following this series on PS4 for many years now, they all have great story and characters, which is why I loved them, I want to do my absolute best to avoid spoiler even gameplay mechanics. The fact they changed the main character it's probably the reason I didn't buy it for my collection, since he showed up here thought I'd give it a try, wasn't expect such drastic gameplay change...
I've installed other Empress games and had no issues. I've never had an issue with anything uploaded to IGG either. Windows defender just doesn't like .exe with an "unknown" publisher.

this was my first yakuza game as well. i know the characters from 0-6 and thats about it, but i understand about 99% of the story. and it was one of the most fulfilling RPG's i've ever played. loved the characters and how organic they are
My tips : Save money, and buy new cpu.. Best possible to buy Ryzen cpu which i have. It's 2021, most game will need AVX/SSE4.2 instructions. Atleast, if they remove it
They destroyed yakuza with this new turn based battle system. why not use this system in a yakuza spin off or on another ip lol i was close buying it after finishing 0-6 but good thing i haven't spend anything on it. probably gonna buy 0-6 when they are on sale and play them again in 1 or 2 years, really great games except this one.
