I played this game nonstop for 3 days straight after it came out and kept playing more for about another week. I was so shocked when I stuck my head out into the internet and saw that people hated it. Don't listen to those people, just give it a go. This game is really solid with a wealth of interesting and unique content. I haven't enjoyed exploring like I did in this game in quite a while.
Yep, it's a fun game, and it does exploration right. One thing it doesn't do right, however, is melee combat - it's unapologetically cheap and frustrating. Luckily there's guns as well though, they're almost mandatory.
Combat can be frustrating, but if you make use of all the game's tools I've found the only enemies that annoy me are four-legged ones that do that instant spin-jump attack. There are two abilities that are key: an early power that shoots some green goo at enemies and causes them to attack each other (can't remember the name). The other one is the bouncy mushrooms, which basically completely disables small enemies for like 10-20 seconds.
What i specifically mean is that there's little to no Camera lock on. Like when am fighting a large character the camera keeps showing the ground instead of the enemies so I have to constantly keep the camera in line with me and who am fighting. Another controller issue I find is that the healing system; its hard to navigate the quick heal functions while trying to dodge enemy attacks. I hope someone corrects me if am wrong about this cuz this game has a lot of potential. (Like Anthem)
i installed the game and then tried to install UPDATE V1.7.0, got the same prob as u, said something about missing WindowsNoEditor.pak.
then i tried to install all updates starting from the older one and it WORKS.
so i installed the game, then installed UPDATE V1.5.0, then UPDATE V1.6.0 and then UPDATE V1.7.0. in this way everything worked fine for me and have everything working.
Put the crack in the game folder (the crack is in the CODEX folder inside the .iso) or just go through the installer and check the "copy contents of the CODEX folder". This should do it.
I believe after you mount the disk image, you should see a folder named "CODEX". open that. keep opening each folder till you get to the end. there will be 3 items with the titles steam in them. copy those 3. then put them in the same place/folder but in the game install location that you have. it will start in the folder Engine. follow that like you did before, till the end. copy them into the last folder "Win64". hope this made sense, and hope this helped.
A tip: Don't try to catch a bird near a body of water, it's just a waste of time... apparently, in this game, normal birds can walk on the bottom floor of the ocean/lake just as well as they can walk on dry land(wasn't meant to be intentional, I'm sure of it), minewhile your character is incredibly slow swimming in the water and can drown pretty quickly while losing every mobility ability you may have except jump. Normally you'd need to be in full sprint to be able to get even close enough to a bird while it zigzags to avoid getting caught, but you should turn around and forget about getting the bird the moment it goes anywhere near a body of water. This game is pretty good but it's such a shame it's pretty unpolished in some areas. These kind of things in these type of games just... I wouldn't say 'ruin' but really lower the fun and experience you get while playing. But, even so, still try the game out and have fun with it. It's well made overall, definitely not bad and really not the worst game that came out this year. Dunno why, just wanted to rant a bit about this... move along now, nothing to see here...
I'll be honest, I have no idea what you're talking about and I played the crap out of this game. Was this some type of side quest? The only thing I can think of as "catching" are those little critters you can catch if you walk up to them and either kill them or rescue them for a morality point. Kind of a weird mechanic in general, but I don't get what you mean about catching birds. The biggest frustrations lie in combat, certain enemies (particularly four-legged ones) have instantaneous animations, so combat becomes an irritating game of hit and run.
Well, you can catch certain types of small creatures you encounter in the wild, you can also catch small birds, don't know how you haven't encountered one, seriously I really know know how. The bird I tried to catch wasn't a part of a quest, just a random bird I saw that was catchable and it just started walking into the water after I chased it for a while, I thought it wouldn't be able to or it will slow down in the water but no... it continued hopping along on the ocean's floor like it hadn't entered fully into the water. Literally Jesus Bird. Also I, myself, didn't know you can catch Little animals in the game like that until I've seen a prompt above the bird telling me I can catch it, as long as I get close enough to it that is. I also can understand your frustration from combat, I tried playing a speedy hard hitting character (emphasis on "tried") with almost no investment stat wise in armor or health, and by what you said you can guess how it went for a little while.
Definitely didn't understand this complaint either. You're in the action within 15 minutes and it just keeps rolling from there. The dialogue was mostly long winded when you talk to random quest-giver NPCs, and you can just blow right through all that.

idk what software your using, REMOVE IT unless its https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows and MAKE SURE to go select profile, then other and make sure to select Xbox controller (even if your using a ps4 controller) it wont matter. some games only accept input from xbox but biomutant is one that allows the control scheme buttons to look like a ps4 is being used.
Someone said it's pretty decent........Biomutant is pretty good and well executed. If you did everything you're supposed to during dl and installation, you'd be playing it without any snags whatsoever. So far no bugs to speak of. Went for an outcast class for the wizard equivalent, but still able to use guns and blades. Chopping heads while making enemies fight among themselves, not a bad weekend.
when your installing the game you LITERALLY click the "copy crack to blah blah" idk what its called but thats all you gotta do. make sure to turn off your antivirus settings (probably should have done so before downloading) as it will "most the time" remove cracks from downloads. but thats all you gotta do.
After dropping about 24 hours and getting to level 43 Dead-Eye on Hard, the games actually pretty decent. I don't consider it bad or amazing, but getting to play it free, its definitely pretty decent. Turn your brain off and treat it like a Borderlands and its actually pretty good.
I need a bit of help I installed the game, extracted it, went into codex biomutant, setup, then the game installed then I went to my desktop ran the game and it flashed on my screen that it was launching biomutant in steam and then I waited and nothing happened. Please help :p
oh and one more thing, just so I don't waste my time im curious if I can even run this I know I can on my desktop but I mainley do on my laptop it has a 1660ti and a i5-9400h with 8gb ram. If this were a desktop I know I could run it but sense it's a integrated gpu im curious.
So I've played this for a couple hours. I have to say, the dialogue/narration in this game is INCREDIBLY annoying. Also the first couple hours, the game constantly takes control away to go to cut scenes I don't care about at all the story is pretty rubbish. Apart from that its decent enough. Looks nice, combat is fine. Nothing mind-blowing though.

You should try to unpack the zip parts again, and then try again. If it wont work. try this:
Winkey+ R -> msconfig
go to start -> safety boot , select minimal
restart
now you are in safety mode, now you can install hopefully without an error.
go in saftetymode again to msconfig like in step 1 and unselect saftey boot and select normal systemstart. Now in your next restart you computer will boot normal, so dont forget to change it.

15h into the game i can say its a fun game to play. Dialogues are a bit to long for me, i just jumped over all dialogues to the hack and slash parts. Despite what people say i think its a well worth game, not saying to go out and buy the game cause i surely wont but the game itself is beautiful and the combat is smooth, love the crafting system. As i said only thing that put me off a bit is how damm long these dialogues can get but that's just my opinion. Biomutant is a game i would play on and off.
This game was made by a small Swedish (I think its Swedish) studio. They just didn't have the budget to hire voice actors. But still, the game is awesome. EA & Actvision can go suck Godzilla's pp.
I don't even have a problem with the quality of the voice acting really. It's just often written weird or way to long winded. Also the narrator is annoying as fuck. Thank god there is an option to change the frequency of the narrations because listening to him announce every single thing even the day night cycle is just to much.

Try to copy the .iso image on the same hard drive you are going to install it, then install it and when it is installed unmount and erase the .iso file. It worked for me. For any reason the installer crashes when it reads data from another drive different from the install source.
My Impression after playing this for 6+h straight is, the gameplay is good. I love how the combat is smooth. The story is not that interesting. 99% of it have me skipping through the dialogue because of it's boring conversation.
Fun I have the exact opposite so far Story is fun and pleasant to see, tho' I wonder if dialogue choice as a real impact outside of the Light and Dark mechanic , but gameplay is really meh-ish, no feel in the attack, all enemy so far react the same divided in two class (small and heavy one) , there is no loot outside of healing/stamina regen, and most of the map so far is empty when you explore, you need to trigger the events through the quest. But maybe things goes better past the first chapters.
Cant open the game, I have the right files and according to Task mananger it opens up then closes after just a few secounds. Yes, I do have turned off Windows Defender. Anyone have an idea of what might be the problem?

If all else fails try this. No guarantee this will work but try blocking the connection for the .exe from the firewall(outbound connections) i will try this myself once i am home.
go to the folder where you extracted the file. There is the Codex folder. Get in. Coppy the folder in it. Click right on the game icon wherever you let it, and click " Open File Location " Paste the Copied file there, replace it with the actual one in there, and then play the game.
Did u copy the " Engine " file from the Codex ? If yes , all you have to do is paste it to the Game file location - for example " Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > BIOMUTANT " . Do not Cut it from the extracted folder, just copy it. Let it to the extracted folder. Dun know why but if you cut it sometimes it does not work. Anyway if you did it as i said. Just Delete it all and Reinstall again from the start .
