Games like these nowadys are what makes me paranoid in older games.
Played "Bioshock" for the first time and was surprised, that the normal difficutly is perfectly doable without much resource management.
But my god... "Viscerafest" kills you fast, even on the lowest difficulty.
Like... what's the point in making difficulties ranging from "Hard" to "Impossible"?
No thanks... I'm absolutely capable of doing it, but this is a trend I hate to see.
Especialy since it's EA, and every moron in the forum (who has beaten the game multiple times) want it harder.
The last patch even made the highest difficulty harder.
I don't wanna see how it turns out when the game is finished...
EA already ruined multiple Indie titles when it comes to "balancing for new customers" and everything is build around speedrunning the highest difficulty.
Other than that, the music is the best part and the game plays great.
But the whole mechanic about having to melee ranged enemies can f off.
And of course, since it's apparently a survival game, you barely find any ammo.
Oh yeah, and your best way of moving is bunnyhopping, because of course...
Overall, it's a solid game, but indie devs need to chill the f*ck out when it comes to difficulty.
Easiest difficulty, failed to notice an enemy behind you between all the clutter on screen > more than half of your armor gone in one single hit.
Nope...
EDIT: Lmao... noticed that I've already made a post about it... well ok, my point stands, it seems...

It plays really great and the soundtrack is one of the best, especialy in the FPS-Genre.
But the fact that your melee-attack is your main source of damage, cause you find as much ammo as in a Survival Horror Game on Hard, is a bit... weird.
It's nice that the devs try to do something like this and it really works out... but I still prefer using my "9 unique and powerful weapons, from staples of the genre like the bunker buster double-barreled shotgun, to the more unique and offbeat, such as the Pung Cannon" to kill stuff.
"Remnant: From the Ashes" had a better melee system (when it comes to third person shooters) and it still was more of a last resort instead of the main way to deal damage.
Maybe a bit more moves would be nice, like sliding (to dodge projectiles) and kicking.
Also, that game is made with stupid bunny-hopping in mind.
I absolutely hate this form of gaining speed, but ok, that's just a matter of taste.

New retro-style game that reminds me of the classic DOOM.
Note: Cool BGM.
