You are right. It crashed my game as well. I'll update my original comment to let people know. It is kinda weird since it is the official patch on Kaguragames' website. Other than a version mismatch I can't think of any other reason for this issue.
I think recently patches from Kagura Games tend to only work for the official unpirated games instead of the games here. I think before the patch won't even recognize the game when patching, so maybe they beefed up the security by making it instead of not installing it, it might've installed a corrupted or wonky version of the patch so that pirated games will end up getting bricked instead of just being able to play without patch. Just a guess, anyway.
