If you get black screen with cursor, Rename your folder to just "Subnautica" and it should fix it. I think it's the extra characters in the folder name.
16/04/2024 right now and currently this v03.04.2024 game not working black screen and fake missing file error i download from torent site and its the same get it from another page and it will work just fine with update 13/04/2024 for example
I fixed my problem with blackscreen and afterward crash. I had the game in subfolder whitch contained special characters, so try using only english alphabet and try avoiding spaces too, but in my case spaces are good.
the game itself has some bugs that the developer has not been able to fix so far it has nothing to do with igg, they gave us the necessary resources the common bug is that this game has difficulty starting correctly, and this is manifested by freezing the black screen
Although this game has a special troubleshooting page, none of the methods seem to work for everyone. some can run the game others can't. if you have methods to solve this problem and if the igg moderation team also allows us, you can post here how you solved to help the others
Hey guys, i have a wierd issue, when i run game, the game started, i have cutscenne and after that my character start jumpping, walking, opening the inventory and in the right corner strange windows pop up, idont know what's happening. I tried solve this problem i think is some issue with plugins but i dont have idea how to fix that, can somone help ?

Okay This is my issue I get a black screen when i run the game tried with admin rights same result disabled my antivirus same result And the only fixes i found on here were to re copy the contents of the CODEX folder inside the games root I downloaded the game and it came with no CODEX folder which tells me the crack is already in the Root folder since the game isnt in a ISO file So can anybody tell me what i can do I know it is not my PC because i had this game before it work perfectly
Amazing story.. Already finish the game with this Experimental version, and there wasn't any problem at all.. No major bugs, nothing.. So i think no difference playing the Stable Release v44290 and the Experimental Releases after that..

Correct.. Also, you must remember that experimental branch receive new updates every few hours.. Right now there are already 8 new versions with some fixes and such.. The version i played was 44435.. If you plan to play just for the story, then go ahead.. If you plan to play the long run, then go for the stable version

Especially if you plan to play the long run game, with a big base and a lot of time into it.. If you dont actually care to much if you lose your progress, then the most up to date version have new stuff And there is already a bunch of new updates in this branch, already at 44514

you can check version of the game in title. when they upload game the title is where the version of game you seek for is. and you always can go and check on steam for versions of games, so you dont have to download game to check version or you can google it. thats what i do when im not sure about games.

If it says "early access" then you got an early access build. I'm gonna hold off on updating anything from the previous version that was posted here until all this confusion is cleared up.
I tried to get into Subnautica and what killed the game for me was that the base building was asymmetric. There is no way I will build shit that cannot align itself into a grid, my mental health doesn't allow it. Even the mod supposed to do it couldn't handle it well. I could only imagine the pain of people buildings perfect bases out of a flawed system like that. Just not what I'm into, I like seamless things.
Listen up y'all don't try to mess with the debug console. I played v44290 and used it for teleporting but now I can't save my 20+ hours of gameplay. The game simply doesn't allow save option to be accessed if you are unable to teleport using the "goto" command

If anyone is having the problem where the game just crashes and all you can see is the changed cursor and a black screen (maybe with a warning sign on it) and even though you did not get any ISO file, just follow the procedure for the ISO file, ie, copy and paste the crack into the game directory. thanks for posting this, it IS a good game - i unfortunately made the mistake of paying human money on these games recently; i lost 16 hours of progress on a corrupted save game file. dev support is a joke and steam has a 2 hour max for refunds. this method may be the most stable way for others to try it.
I downloaded the version right before this one that came out completed all the missions and now I wanna see the ending, how can I update the game without losing my savefile? (and where can I find my savefile to back it up before updating)
After playing some hours i am really hooked. I had a bit more of a blast with the first one but that was just because it was such a new concept. I have a feeling that this is a bit "easier", one can go deeper sooner because, at least in one biome, there are so many oxygen plants that one can stay down for a very long time. Resources also seem to be a bit more plentiful than in the first one. Now i only need some mods, mainly inventory stuff and im happy. :)

Hard for anyone to pinpoint your case scenario. It can vary from your pc not meeting game requirements to things like outdated drivers or to something as simple as not installing the crack correctly(drag and drop crack files into root game location).
anyone wondering how to install game. step one download the files, step two extract said files to the same place, step 3 click on the ISO file inside the folder and run the setup, step 4 after that finishes you will then want to click finish installing then go to the game folder and keep the folder with the ISO file in it open, step 5 copy all the files from the codex folder in the folder with the ISO to the game files this will then allow the game to launch and not cause you to crash. have a fun time playing

in the first cutscene after the part where it says unknown world presents where i think you land my game just lags so hard that the whole game just crashes i use an (AMD firepro v4900) do i not have the right graphics card? cause the first subnautica worked perfectly but this one doesn't. i even put the lowest graphics as possible but still the game did not work
Is AMD firepro good for gaming? Firepro cards aren't optimal for gaming. That doesn't mean you can't game on a Firepro, but compared to a Radeon card at the same price point, performance won't be nearly as good. ... But if your primary purpose is gaming, get a Radeon or GeForce card, not a Firepro or Quadro.
i do use my firepro card for gaming but Okay i will try to convince my father to get me a Geforce or Radeon graphics card i am actually a 13yr old gamer so it aint that easy to convince my father to get a better graphics card but i can try.

I'm getting the isdone.dll error when installing the game in the codex installer (I've downloaded the game several times and also downloaded the dll, but it still keeps giving the same error), and i already turned off the antivirus too
I gave it a try, didn't play much...maybe 2hrs and i had to restart once because i drowned under an ice floe and didnt save. But from what i see this is exactly the subnautica experience that i craved. And Sea Monkeys suck. :)
Sea monkeys get better over a few days. They go from stealing your stuff to handing you metals. I think it escalates over time, too. They went from handing me titanium and seaweed to handing me copper.
It's the latest version, but apparently not big enough to warrant a reupload just yet. The full version starts with 44350, so if that's your number, then at least you'll get the full game.
44290 is still 1.0 according to everywhere I look. The date just shows when the game went gold, but there's no reason why it wouldn't be the complete edition just because they chose to release it three days later.
Be careful with waterproof lockers. I just lost 2 that i put near the ground, they dissappeared. They were empty so no big deal but i would be careful using them with anything valuable in it.

I downloaded codex and used the setup file. I made a game file and ran it with the rights of the owner, but the game ran for 1 second and turned off by itself. What should I do?
Check to see if you meet the min Specs if yes. Then reinstall the game, and if there is a crack folder copy and paste it in the game directory. Make sure you run this program as Administrator - Good Luck

well you can actually kill them, you just need a prawn suit with a grapple so they cant just escape. that is for the first game, in this game i don't think the prawn suit is a thing, but i might be wrong. So in theory, you can kill leviathans, its just a bit hard to do.
Nice rebuttle. Really just an insult, and a complete dismissal of the fact that Subnautica has no goal other than aimless wandering. There's no threat to the game because none of the monsters are designed to be combatted. You just run. Game sucks, go get some taste.
If you think Subnautica has no goal then you've never played it at all and probably have no intention to. The game by default has a story mode with missions, complete with voice acting, character arcs, cutscenes, all that shit. The monsters are designed to be barely fightable, but that doesn't mean they aren't designed to to kill you, and you bet your ass they'll do it if you're not careful. Try swimming around looking for diamond while a shark is literally trying to swallow you whole. You'd be embarrassed that you even tried to make the argument that there's no threat. The game is teeming with a shitload of threats. The game isn't about aimless wandering either. Every time I leave the safe area it's specifically to go hunt some shit down, whether it's to add to my base, create a new tool, or follow story missions. You might as well say Grand Theft Auto is just about driving around in stolen cars while bitching about a perceived lack of plot or action. Anybody else who played the game would laugh in your face, and they'd be right to. The fact is you're just mad because shooting shit isn't the main point of the game; you're not fooling anybody there, and just making yourself look stupid trying to come up with made-up alternative reasons why the game is "bad."

This game is more character driven, given that. A lot is put into the protag's identity and the identity of her deceased sister (the plot is figuring out how she died), so no there's not much self-insertion with this character unless you just turn off the story altogether. I should feel lucky she's not going on about how white people are destroying everything because of the color of their skin, so, you know, silver lining.
Even projectile weapons are sometimes ok in their minds I guess since you could use the gravity gun thing to grab things and shoot it at stuff (the exploding fish turned it into basically a grenade launcher lol). Haven't touched the first one. Although it is on my "must play before I die" list. It's just that it's a very big meal. I know full-well I'll be spending 100 hours on it, minimum. I'm sure this (previously) DLC sized sequel is following suit. I'm happy for people who were eagerly waiting for this.
It depends, if you play without consulting the wiki then you will often search for stuff in the wrong place etc. This will of course add to your playtime. But if you play until you are familiar with most stuff and then use the wiki you can save a lot of time. I think 100hours is way to much for a normal playtrough. If you build a huge base and you have to farm for stuff that takes time, but it is not really needed to finish the game. I would say that you can finish the game under 50h as a first time player if you don't waste too much time with building, farming, exploring (edit: i just looked it up, a normal playtrough is between 30-50h according to "howlongtobeat") Try it, subnautica really is an experience that no other game can offer.
Thank you for the suggestion friend. When I decide to play that game I will keep this in mind. That said, the time to beat a game can vary tremendously from person to person; so is the reason behind why they play a given game and how they derive enjoyment from it. For me personally, I like to take my time, smell the roses, sometimes even pause the game and think for a bit about my state, actions and decisions. That's the reason I usually average twice the time needed in 'howlongtobeat' when it comes to big titles 😄 Also, even though I have absolutely no qualms against using guides or wiki for games, I don't think I'll be using those for Subnautica, particularly. Personally, I think the main appeal of the game is the sense of being stranded in a alien environment, not being certain about the directions and being forced to explore while the outcome is not guaranteed. So unless I'm stuck beyond the point of frustration I don't think I'll consult a guide. But I do understand that's a personal preference.

for igg, free = piracy, so it is not a trial, not a demo but the full games. Just, take caution of what you will download, igg is legit but the ads and fake buttons on the sites are not. If you download an executable then delete it.
It takes place on the same planet and there's probably a connection of some kind, but it's not 100 percent required. End of the day it's just basebuilding ocean survival. Difference is Subnautica 1 is more tropical, with less land.
The story wasn't much to write home about but getting out of there alive was satisfying. I'd say it's worth playing, but not 100% required to play this.
The first tme i played part one i stopped before i even got to the lava biomes, took some peeks in there but i never mustered the courage to go in there. Then i bought a new pc and played other stuff. But coming back to subnautica, i was so hooked and went totally overboard with base building etc. . So many great mods...the auto-sorting cabinets for example....was like a new game. The first part is definetly in my all-time Top-Ten. edit: spelling
I played this in early access and it was horrible compared to the main game. I really hope this is better because i wan't to relive that subnautica experience. But im going to wait a bit and see what others say about it. Edit: Aww, this is still not the release version?
Of course it would. It was early access. As of right now it's definitely not empty. I'd say it's about on par with the first game. If anything there are more minerals and I've yet to see any deposits stuck inside a wall.
Well im excited to try it. Just bought the second Anno1800 season pass so my gaming schedule is a bit full atm. But if it's even 80% as good as the original then i know i will have fun with it.
One thing I'm seeing is that it definitely had veterans of the first game in mind. Building materials are way easier to come by in general, at least to get your base up and running. Even gold and silver weren't too far from my spawn and there's a handheld mineral detector now which makes it even easier (the battery drains like crazy on it though lol). Some people didn't like this and I was iffy about it, but it does get the ball rolling faster and takes out a lot of that first two-hour grind. Hopefully this means there's more to do in general down the line. I know there's more to build here.
If they expanded the building part then i am all happy about it. I have to try it but from what i hear i don't think i would mind having the "basic" materials be more accessible. Grinding for base building materials that you need huge quantities of is no fun. I rather have the late game materials be more challenging to get. And the handheld scanner sounds like a nice addition.
Yeah. When you first start a game like Subnautica that hunting/gathering aspect is a fun novelty, but it wears off pretty quickly. There's still plenty of grind; you still have to gather a lot of titanium and there isn't any wreckage junk to convert to titanium (since you crash in a much smaller ship this time) but I remember things being much slower last time around. There's still grind, just not so much grind. What I'm interested in is the seatruck and snowfox, and how much more attention they put on the surface in general. There's definitely more land in this one along with the sea itself, and the cold weather means you have a limited time walking around on the surface outside of a few warmer areas. So far it's basically just Subnautica with a new map and new animals, which is really all I wanted.
Yes i remember this game mechanic with the cold. That was a nice addition. And yes again, subnautica was so good i just want more. Im fine with new stuff but the core gameplay is what made this game so great. Edit: No horror game will ever give me shivers like going the first time into the bloodkelp zone. Who needs jumpscares if you have atmosphere.
Not 100% sure. If it's not the full release it's insanely close. The only major difference between last version and this is bugfixes and the ending's unlocked. I haven't run into a single bug so I think this is the full version? In any case it won't matter. An update's gonna hit this site in the near future so it's bound to be full within the next few hours.

Just re downloaded and installed for the third time. Game opens up to the menu just fine. But when I go to start a new game it gets stuck loading. I've seen plenty of other people ask about this, but very few fixes. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks everyone!

Ive redownloaded it ran as admin my specs are RTX 2070, ryzen 5 2600, ASROCK B450mPro, 16 GB vengeance RAM. i have no clue what is happening but i would absolutely love some help. Thanks.
with those specs it should run the game fine, you could even run it on highest settings. Could be a bug because of early access, i would wait till the full release gets uploaded it came out today 14.05.21, so wait a few hours or a day and download that one. When i tried it with my ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1660s i had the same problem. You could also try to block the game in firewall and antivirus maybe that would help.
If I were to download it and play a good chunk of the game and then the final update comes out, how do i update the game without losing progress? do you just drop the new files on top of the old?

ITS JUST BLACK SCREEN AND THE GAME ISNT RUNNING :( but i have 400 fps according to nvidia overlay xD Although the "JUST SUBNAUTICA" runs perfectly fine the bellow zero is only black screen no sounds nothing to click no crashing it runs it starts it appears but its just full border window app with black screen

You should keep posting about your black screen issues, I am sure it will fix itself if you keep on posting. Try running the game as admin OR do a complete fresh install
FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS THE ENDING the devs said that the conclusion to the story will only be available on release (may 14th). the seaworthy update is just the last of the features update, so all the mechanics and items are in the game and all thats left is minor bug-fixing (like my title screen stopped showing the world. where are my pengligs??!!). my guess is that the ending is not gameplay but a cinematic like the rocket launch on the first game so they don't need players to beta test it
game loads fine, but the background in the title screen doesnt appear (unless i go in and out of the credits) and i cant start up a new world - progress bar in loading screen doesnt advance. i can also click menu buttons in the loading screen somehow. any ideas how to fix this?

In my game, in the alien parts some of them are not processed, there is simply a void, the problem is that I am already quite advanced in the game and these parts are essential to finish. Yes you can. Go to your game folder Subnautica.Below.Zero.vXXXXX\SNAppData\SavedGames (the vXXXXX is just the game version). Copy and save this folder somewhere else. Make sure you have your current game saved. You may delete any other game saves from within the game and only keep the one you want. Now download the newer version of the game and open it once and then close it. (No need to start a game, this is just to let the game create the save folder). Now copy the contents of your "SavedGames" to the same location in the newer version of the game. Now you should be able to continue your old save game. Sorry if this is too long, and hope it helps.
I know. When the demand is high, as in, a lot of people are downloading at the same time, it becomes slow. But on the other hand, Google drive simple becomes unusable when there is a heavy load of downloaders. But yeah, I agree that Googles download rates are constantly fast when it's up.

hey guys i really dont know how to install it like do i have to install 2 parts ? because about 6-7 months ago when i tried to download the game and opened it the game just didnt worked as it needs to be i wasnt able to react with anything and then when i log back in my save i just spawn in a random location cant interact with anything so i would appreciate help
you download all parts > and then extract the first part with winrar or whatever unzipper you use > it will automatically unzip all parts > look where you allocated the folder and look for the game.exe thats it...

I have installed game for a while. If I want to update, do I need only part 2 (from Google drive)? Is that an update and part 1 standalone game? if you try to inzip part 1 without part 2 installed it wil give an error that you cant unzip because your missing part 2 so if you have both parts than just unzip the first somewhere you like and it wil work

Every time Subnautica puts out a massive update, the old save files are not compatible. The reason for this isthe fact that it's in beta and it's early release as the game and story builds are in the process of being built.

Mods don't work with the "Free" versions. The maker of the mod program that is needed called Qmod Manager over at Nexus, he put in a kinda DRM that not only makes the mods not work, but it also "breaks" your game.

You do know if you use Google drive and you have your own free account, if you cannot download a file because it reached it's daily DL limit, what you can do is right click on the file and choose 'Copy File' and it will go straight to your Google drive instantly where you can then DL from there. You have a 15G limit of space but what you can do with larger games is copy X amount that you're able to, DL those copies, then move them to the Googles Drive trash folder once they are completed, rinse and repeat to get those +15GB games then unrar them once you've got all the files.Pro-tip: Make sure to EMPTY your trash because if you don't, those files stay on your storage taking up space for 30 days until it auto deletes. Another thing, the files will be renamed with 'Copy' added to the file name, they will still extract without having to re-edit the file names.
yes you must download the entire game again to get the updates. you CAN keep your saves though. simply move your "SNAppData" folder (the whole folder) from one install to the new one

You should download 2 parts and extract them at the same time. When a new update comes out, you have to download these 2 parts again and copy the save file to the new version and continue to play. Personally, I think you should play in creative mode for your best experience because the dev adds new features to this game every day. This version (20290) has a bug with sky color now.
The dev updates this game everyday with so many bugs. I think you guys should upload the game with 2 versions: stable ver (now is 19404) for those who wants to play follow the story and experimental (now is 20337 already) for those who wants to find new features they added. The game is not broken at all, I've been playing it for days with no issues (apart the usual in-game ones because it's still in alpha phase). Just look for the crack somewhere else, install the game, then the crack, and to make sure, start the game in Admin mode. Try and say thank you to IGG/Skidrow/Cpy once in a while as they don't have to do this for us. You're getting a free game because of them, show some respect.

So here the solution for the crack. Download the crack from one of the comment below then extract it. Install the game first. then the game files should be located in drive c depends on where you decide to install it. Search the folder Subnautica Zero then copy the crack that you have extract it before. Then click the game. Enjoy
yes, there are games that have an exe updater, but here on igg, if the game is not fully released, they will not release an update pack, you have to download the whole thing again.

Download the update 15193 and extract it then go inside the extracted file and you will see there is a couple of patches run them one by one starting with S-BZ-Update-14677 and finish with S-BZ-Update-15193 and remember where you extracted your main game because you will need to go and find it as the patched asks where the game is installed/extracted
Your problem is actually very basic error you almost selected the correct directory but remember when you extracted the game from the archives it should look something like this "c:\Users\user\Downloads\Subnautica.Below.Zero.Build.14498" but actually the main game folder is actually inside of it "C:\Users\user\Downloads\Subnautica.Below.Zero.Build.14498\SubnauticaZero" and that is what needs to stand in the address bar and not "c:\Users\user\Downloads\Subnautica.Below.Zero.Build.14498" for the patch to work. The easiest way to make sure you select the correct folder is to either copy or cut SubnauticaZero out of Subnautica.Below.Zero.Build.14498 or go inside the folder to in order to patch the game.
Remember you need to update the game from S-BZ-Update-14677 and apply the updates numerically until you finish with S-BZ-Update-15193 as the last one. If you encounter an error with the patches in between first look at your disc space because with all the backups each 1 ranges from around 6.00 GB+ from all the _backups in the game directory which lead to an massive amount of 32.2 GB of disc space with the main game included but if the problem is not your disc space then my suggestion is re-download the game unless you still have the archives then just delete the old game and extract it again and then re-apply the patches in numerical order starting with 14677 and ending with 15193
LOL! I just had to re-download all the files they got corrupted and it took over an hour to apply the patches and they had tons of errors i redid it and went nice and smooth! This time it took just a few minutes! :) Thanks igg-games!
Hi, I downloaded the free version of the game. Works perfectly. But today I launched Subnautica Below Zero and I noticed that all of my progress has been deleted. I have to recreate a new world. Has anybody else experienced the same issue? Does anyone have a solution?
This game is recently updated to the seatruck update, you can know which version is it by reading the IGG's title. It will change as a new update released.

what do you mean with Auto Download there is no such thing on this site. And use fricking google drive links, dont download the file, import it to your google drive, make a copy in google drive, delete the original downloads and then download the copies from your own google drive.
You're not a tard. It's easy to avoid the fake downloads, just get an ad blocker and use it when you open the download links, that way the fake pop-up websites that try to download malware on your computer will be blocked and you'll be led to the real download website. If you want to support IGG, I suggest you only use the adblocker when opening a download link and don't use it on IGG. But it's all up to you, that's your choice. Also, if you're not sure what adblocker to use, get uBlock Origin. It's lightweight, doesn't use a lot of resources, and is phenomenal at blocking ads.
You could just...I don't know...use the very easy to see link at the top of the website that says "TORRENT SITE" and then search the name of this game "Subnautica: Below Zero" which would lead you directly to the torrent download.

Guys, in order to update this game, reinstall the game, copy your latest save file in SNAppData/Savedgames/Slot 0001 or whatever your save file is called, then after copying it, delete all of the subnautica below zero files unless you dont want to save space, then reinstall the latest update into the game, then paste your save data back to SNAppData/Savedgames/ and easy, your game is updated and your save file is there.
Well I copied the file, deleted the old version, got the new one, pasted it where you said and then it said "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the folder (Error:0x80004005)" and now all of my progress is gone. This really sucks.

So you will be stuck with sea glide, prawn suit and sea truck and that snow glider for probably the most of 2019. Not worth playing unless you really want to spoil your experience and burn out on the game. Also they have stripped Cyclops from the game and it looks like they are not planning anything more interesting than sea truck right now. From world design point of view the complete lack of verticality indicates that they seem to only work on depth level to maximum of 250 meters and until far far later in the development cycle will not be adding deeper zones. I might consider buying into EA in 2020 not earlier...the monthly progress rolled out so far is not impressive in any way in concerns of content addition over time. Absolutely minimal to be honest. After the massive success of their first game im a bit disappointed that it seem that they have not invested into a significant staffing up in their dev team.

You need to download the Microsoft Visual Studio Redistributable 2015 or higher. Edit: I assume at least 15, that's the one always mentioned for this error.
most of the times you are able to find and transfer the save file from a version to a new one without a problem.i do it in every game i download with 0 problems.just try to locate the address that game put the saves. The only time that you are not able to do that is when the developer ask you to start over cause old saves create more bugs or crashes.

Should only buy a game if you feel like the game is extremely worth it and who is the game developers. Also depends on the publishers, if it's EA or Activision then just download the cracked games. how broken is this build? Will it spoil my experience or is it worth it. The description indicates it might not be ..who has played long enough and can give informed opinion please. Man i wish they make a Subnautica that has the scope of a Skyrim or Assassins Creed Odyssee. The first one was great but it was lackin in story and content size.
ok im thru with this build, its very basic early access. Theres not much to do and once u have construciton tool the game has reached basically its limit of content. Not worth it at the moment. This requires far more development to be feasible.
Conent wise it is rather simple, although it's a nice taste of what the final game will be like Bugs (Mostly graphical) are almost everywhere and performance is rather bad on minimum requierements. It's all very understandable though and I would still recommend playing it if you liked the original!

And the only fixes i found on here were to re copy the contents of the CODEX folder inside the games root
I downloaded the game and it came with no CODEX folder which tells me the crack is already in the Root folder since the game isnt in a ISO file

If anyone is having the problem where the game just crashes and all you can see is the changed cursor and a black screen (maybe with a warning sign on it) and even though you did not get any ISO file, just follow the procedure for the ISO file, ie, copy and paste the crack into the game directory. I have a feeling that this is a bit "easier", one can go deeper sooner because, at least in one biome, there are so many oxygen plants that one can stay down for a very long time. Resources also seem to be a bit more plentiful than in the first one.

This game is more character driven, given that. A lot is put into the protag's identity and the identity of her deceased sister (the plot is figuring out how she died), so no there's not much self-insertion with this character unless you just turn off the story altogether. I should feel lucky she's not going on about how white people are destroying everything because of the color of their skin, so, you know, silver lining.
I'd get a good laugh tho if the conclusion to the plot turned out to be that her sister was killed by the evil white colonialist patriarchy because they felt threated by her having a vagina.

But if you play until you are familiar with most stuff and then use the wiki you can save a lot of time.
I think 100hours is way to much for a normal playtrough. If you build a huge base and you have to farm for stuff that takes time, but it is not really needed to finish the game.
I would say that you can finish the game under 50h as a first time player if you don't waste too much time with building, farming, exploring (edit: i just looked it up, a normal playtrough is between 30-50h according to "howlongtobeat")
Try it, subnautica really is an experience that no other game can offer.
That said, the time to beat a game can vary tremendously from person to person; so is the reason behind why they play a given game and how they derive enjoyment from it.
For me personally, I like to take my time, smell the roses, sometimes even pause the game and think for a bit about my state, actions and decisions. That's the reason I usually average twice the time needed in 'howlongtobeat' when it comes to big titles 😄
Also, even though I have absolutely no qualms against using guides or wiki for games, I don't think I'll be using those for Subnautica, particularly. Personally, I think the main appeal of the game is the sense of being stranded in a alien environment, not being certain about the directions and being forced to explore while the outcome is not guaranteed.
So unless I'm stuck beyond the point of frustration I don't think I'll consult a guide. But I do understand that's a personal preference.
Just, take caution of what you will download, igg is legit but the ads and fake buttons on the sites are not. If you download an executable then delete it.

But coming back to subnautica, i was so hooked and went totally overboard with base building etc. . So many great mods...the auto-sorting cabinets for example....was like a new game.

As of right now it's definitely not empty. I'd say it's about on par with the first game. If anything there are more minerals and I've yet to see any deposits stuck inside a wall.
Just bought the second Anno1800 season pass so my gaming schedule is a bit full atm.
But if it's even 80% as good as the original then i know i will have fun with it.
I have to try it but from what i hear i don't think i would mind having the "basic" materials be more accessible.
Grinding for base building materials that you need huge quantities of is no fun. I rather have the late game materials be more challenging to get.
And the handheld scanner sounds like a nice addition.
What I'm interested in is the seatruck and snowfox, and how much more attention they put on the surface in general. There's definitely more land in this one along with the sea itself, and the cold weather means you have a limited time walking around on the surface outside of a few warmer areas.
So far it's basically just Subnautica with a new map and new animals, which is really all I wanted.
And yes again, subnautica was so good i just want more. Im fine with new stuff but the core gameplay is what made this game so great.
Edit: No horror game will ever give me shivers like going the first time into the bloodkelp zone. Who needs jumpscares if you have atmosphere.
In any case it won't matter. An update's gonna hit this site in the near future so it's bound to be full within the next few hours.
You could also try to block the game in firewall and antivirus maybe that would help.

Although the "JUST SUBNAUTICA" runs perfectly fine the bellow zero is only black screen no sounds nothing to click no crashing it runs it starts it appears but its just full border window app with black screen

the devs said that the conclusion to the story will only be available on release (may 14th). the seaworthy update is just the last of the features update, so all the mechanics and items are in the game and all thats left is minor bug-fixing (like my title screen stopped showing the world. where are my pengligs??!!).
my guess is that the ending is not gameplay but a cinematic like the rocket launch on the first game so they don't need players to beta test it

You have a 15G limit of space but what you can do with larger games is copy X amount that you're able to, DL those copies, then move them to the Googles Drive trash folder once they are completed, rinse and repeat to get those +15GB games then unrar them once you've got all the files.Pro-tip: Make sure to EMPTY your trash because if you don't, those files stay on your storage taking up space for 30 days until it auto deletes. Another thing, the files will be renamed with 'Copy' added to the file name, they will still extract without having to re-edit the file names.

you CAN keep your saves though. simply move your "SNAppData" folder (the whole folder) from one install to the new one

Personally, I think you should play in creative mode for your best experience because the dev adds new features to this game every day.

I downloaded the free version of the game. Works perfectly. But today I launched Subnautica Below Zero and I noticed that all of my progress has been deleted. I have to recreate a new world. Has anybody else experienced the same issue? Does anyone have a solution?
Will this file automatically effect the game after extracted or is it more complicated than that ??

And use fricking google drive links, dont download the file, import it to your google drive, make a copy in google drive, delete the original downloads and then download the copies from your own google drive.
It's easy to avoid the fake downloads, just get an ad blocker and use it when you open the download links, that way the fake pop-up websites that try to download malware on your computer will be blocked and you'll be led to the real download website.
If you want to support IGG, I suggest you only use the adblocker when opening a download link and don't use it on IGG. But it's all up to you, that's your choice.
Also, if you're not sure what adblocker to use, get uBlock Origin. It's lightweight, doesn't use a lot of resources, and is phenomenal at blocking ads.

Looking at their development roadmap it is terryfing to see the complete lack of new awesome vehicles of any kind (sea truck and snow glider is kinda BLEH!) until the end of the current roadmap in June. So you will be stuck with sea glide, prawn suit and sea truck and that snow glider for probably the most of 2019. Not worth playing unless you really want to spoil your experience and burn out on the game.
Also they have stripped Cyclops from the game and it looks like they are not planning anything more interesting than sea truck right now.
From world design point of view the complete lack of verticality indicates that they seem to only work on depth level to maximum of 250 meters and until far far later in the development cycle will not be adding deeper zones.
I might consider buying into EA in 2020 not earlier...the monthly progress rolled out so far is not impressive in any way in concerns of content addition over time. Absolutely minimal to be honest. After the massive success of their first game im a bit disappointed that it seem that they have not invested into a significant staffing up in their dev team.

The only time that you are not able to do that is when the developer ask you to start over cause old saves create more bugs or crashes.

Man i wish they make a Subnautica that has the scope of a Skyrim or Assassins Creed Odyssee. The first one was great but it was lackin in story and content size.
Not worth it at the moment. This requires far more development to be feasible.
Bugs (Mostly graphical) are almost everywhere and performance is rather bad on minimum requierements.
It's all very understandable though and I would still recommend playing it if you liked the original!
