You haven't seen the tv show? (first season only, second one is a scam) it's on Amazon Prime. Based on a book with plenty of dreadful details, quite a lenghty read but worth it. You can also read the real crew's story on wiki for a quick heads up. This game is apparently based on it eventhough they don't claim it, probably to avoid copyrights which I can imagine are pretty darn expensive XD
"The Terror" comes to mind. I would be surprised if this wasn't partly inspired by it. edit: Ah i see thats the consensus online anyway. Definetly gonna try it when i got time. There seems to be some sort of betrayal system with the crew.... Hard to say if this will even be fun without other people.
Yeah it works perfectly fine. There's a drawback though. You won't be able to communicate via proximity voicechat, because the server emulator of the crack doesn't have a functional voice chat service.
