I don't get why people here on a pirate site are so against Early Access. This is the best place to try it.

nobody is against it. we just arent with it yet. lots of cash grabs that get posted on here and never updated so im not wasting time on a game like this in the first place. all games have to start somewhere sure but id rather not play the same story in a game that barely gets updated aside from mechanics and end game etc just to enjoy it to the fullest. if its even enjoyable. lol

Personally, I don't have any negative feelings toward a game that comes in Early Access; and I suspect it is the case for many others as well.
It's just a valuable piece of information to have about a game. As in, "The basic vision that the devs have for this game is not yet complete."
And as you just said it, it's the best kind of demo you can ask for.
That said, it is understandable why some people choose to stay away as soon as they see "Early Access". The term is somewhat ambiguous.
For some games it means, "You can play it from start to finish and only some side quests are not implemented" and for others it might mean, "Only one chapter of the game is done and after 30 minutes of gameplay your experience will be cut short."
That's why some people, understandably, choose not to risk their bandwidth and just wait for the version 1.0 .

Burnt or mis-portioned ingredient cakes are still baked into cakes, first. They aren't the raw ingredients before even being baked, yet.
Also, many, MANY early access games are made like this just to make a quick buck and with little intent to make it better in the end by unscrupulous developers that eventually dump the project when it no longer is profitable for them and move on to another scam. Some do actually engage with the format honourably, like Iron Tower Studios (the ones behind Age of Decadence and that are currently making Colony Ship) but unfortunately the vast majority do not.

It means that I'll be back on release date, and until then i'll just keep it in my bookmarks.
It's not that I'm against EA, it's just that I don't want to waste my time on a game that is not finished, or I don't want to burn my interest on the game without it being on a beatable state (had this happen with Slay the Spire and Griftlands, played it a bunch on EA and now I can't finish them).
