Rules of thumb when using CODEX. When you run the ISO installer, there is a tick box for "Copy CODEX files automatically". Make sure you check that. I didn't the first time, and it KH1.5 + 2.5 didn't work for me. Redid it and checked the tick box, worked like a charm the second time.
i installed everything correctly and put the codex in but when i click on it it doesnt open it just loads and adds a dmp file to the game directory someone help me fix this pls
Hey, I wanted to delete the disc after extracting it (I don't have much space atm) but apparently it couldn't be deleted. It said that it's still working in the system. Is it needed to have the iso file with the game to have it running? Because both of them are 100 gigs and that's quite a lot
No, the .iso is only used for installing the game. You need to eject the .iso from wherever you mounted it, then you can delete the file(s). R-Click the .iso in your tree and select 'eject.'
Hi, i just finished the final boss in kingdom hearts 1 and apparently once i finished the end credits it gets stuck on the loading screen. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you
not that im aware of no. best I could find was learning that crack has some messed up exe files and I haven't finished the rest of them to see if it happens in the others to know but thankfully KH1 doesn't have you make a cleared save file like the rest do so its no real loss
That "timeline" is wrong. Playing Birth By Sleep first will spoil a lot of plot events that happen in the first and 2nd games. Proper play-order begins with KH1.
open epic_emu.ini Then you see Language=en Change that to whatever you wanna use, f.e. de(german) fr(french) es(spanish) it (italian) ru(russian) etc Only keep in mind that some languages might not be supported cause the developers might not have included it. Its a matter of testing here :) I only know for sure, that dutch (language=nl) is not supported :)

I was having the same problem. Thing is, I was forgetting to copy and paste the files from the CODEX folder (inside the .iso file) to the game folder. The game lauched correctly after I did that.
Google for direct x web Then download direct x from microsoft and install it. If you cant install direct x, or cant launch the game when youve installed direct x, then you might not have windows 10. It could also be that you have a graphics card, thats not supporting direct x 12. Older graphic cards dont support it.
No matter what I do I cannot make it work, disabled windows defender permanently, disabled all shields from avast, turned on an off my internet(it's cable btw), manually prevented all the exes from accecing the internet, made an exemption for all the exes and the folder in avast, nope, nothing, nada, I'm just frustrated by this point

anyone know how to play with controller? able to setup input at global setting but thats that. the game itself doesnt detect the controller. but if you look at the game, the tutorial use keyboard control perhaps its imposibble after all
use ds4windows. That normally fixes these kind of problems. If you use a ps4 controller you can natively connect the controller via windows 10. Then afterwards open steam, and add kh1.5+2.5 as a non steam game. Then at game properties in steam, select that you wanna use the ds4 input method. This way i could play yakuza 0 how its supposed to be with the correct buttons. And this worked for fifa as well without the controller having to be in exclusive mode. So try it this way :)
Worked and no problem. Installed the game, copy paste folder from game.iso (CODEX folder) to installed game location. After that, extract the fixer, copy paste again to game folder. So im stuck at the final boss because after the credit scene, the game is in endless loading, but i want to know if the final boss unlock anything in the game because if so i can just give myself 2/3 level that i would get by beating the boss?
there is nothing...you just can reload the last save and beat the boss again no real loss. the issue i am having is kingdom hearts 2 it crashes after the first big fmv scene right at the start of the game.
Like i said before in the comments, the game requires windows 10 and a dx12 compatible graphic card. So even if you windows 10, but an older graphic card that dont support dx12, the game wont work.

I can launch everything and save now but only if Real Time Protection on Windows Defender is off. If I turn on (even if I "exclude" on the Defender the save data folder, game exe and folder where exe is), I cannot save the game. Anyone else go through that?

If you run into crash after opening the game after 1 sec issues, press window+r find "msconfig" go to startup tabs uncheck nahimic services and realtek audio and restart pc works for me
Thanks for suggestion. Still is not working. Realtek disabled under "startup" and unchecked under "services" if that is what you meant. I don't have nahamic as an option. Still doesn't work after the restart. White screen for one second and goes to desktop.

I have a problem with the game where KH2 and Re:Chain won't work after trying to create a new game, I tried starting both and once the opening cutscene starts it goes full dark and skipping the cutscene doesn't help either. I had the same problem, for me I was launching the wrong file, dont launch the "launcher.exe" as that isnt the first file normally loaded and thus the game thinks you skipped a step and gets really confused for lack of a better explanation, launch the "remix.exe" first instead

yes you can I did this myself. Make sure to remove the (1) from the file names incase you downloaded multiple from different sources otherwise winrar spits out errors

KH 2 is fairly unstable right now. But I recommend playing on fullscreen + 30 FPS as this will prevent (most) crashes. Currently I'd say I crash maybe like every 4 hours once?
you need to check "copy contents of codex..." first or just copy all the files from the codex folder and paste it to the folder where you install the game

Every single time I've had this, it was because the files didn't extract correctly and were incomplete. If you can't fix it, try reextracting it again.

It’s safe to play absolutely in terms of viruses but definitely use a VPN. It sends data to Epic’s servers and SqEx on launch and internet connection can’t be blocked through the firewall or else the game does not work. I received a notice/DMCA from my ISP for this release just yesterday from playing it without a VPN as a DDL download.

Warning for anyone using this CODEX release, you cannot block the game through your firewall (as the instructions from Codex suggest) or disconnect from the internet or it flat out doesn't work. I would not recommend touching this without a VPN until that's either patched or another release comes out without that necessity, unless you live in a country that doesn't give a shit about piracy. For me personally, as much time as I'll probably spend with this game, using a VPN the whole time and verifying it's connected isn't worth it. Launched it yesterday morning and woke up today to a DMCA letter citing this game from my ISP, downloaded it through DDL no torrents. 10 years of piracy and the only other time this happened was when Ubisoft implemented a phone-home system with user IP's in pirated copies within one of the new Assassins Creed games, also downloaded through DDL no torrenting.
If you don’t use one and you live in a country that isn’t piracy friendly, I would absolutely use one. Launching the game without one had a DMCA sent to me through my ISP within 24 hours, DDL no torrent.
Always used VPN for years. At first you had to do it yourself but now it's almost free and pretty fast with many services over the world. It's wise protection against government's tracking and anti-piracy bots. So i'm not surprised they added some kind of feature like this on their new games. Unfortunately, they can't do anything against VPN nodes since they're encrypted packets and it's forbidden by law to even ask someone for his encryption key without any evident proof. (It's like asking for password of someone you suspect without proof). Normally, VPN services worldwide are protecting their customers but be extremely careful about the free ones strongly if you're in a country where download/streaming is monitored by autority. Read the general conditions of use before paying a VPN service.

I don't know if its just me, but i have and issue that i don't know what to do, when i play Kh2 FM the cutscenes are in 10fps when i press start it goes up and when i resume it goes to 10 again, after i skip the next cutscene still in 10 fps and when i get to gameplay it goes to 120 fps but the game is fast AF does anyone else have this issue, help please Edit: I had the same issue with playing DDD but when i play on windowed mode it plays normal the cutscene and also the gameplay, tried with KH2 on windowed mode and it works fine...why i cant play it on fullscreen mode...help please

Eh, it was a big thing back in the height of the PS2 years. A collab of this nature was unfathomable, so it's understood at that time for all the hype. Plus, Disney had a good reputation/mask on at that time vs. the evil syndicate that we see today. I personally didn't care for it as well. One of my gaming buds had a problem with fighting Sephiroth and shoved the controller into my hands. Gotta tell ya, I sucked harder than Paris Hilton would in order to stay relevant. So I started from scratch and tried again. The vengeance is the only thing that got me through the game in the first place. Couldn't see myself playing the other games just for the explanation of these other Squenix charas nor was I thrilled that I haveta replay the remakes for it all to make sense. I was rollin in an Arwing to get to the Colosseum and I beat the TIMBS off of Cloud's side piece. Fair to say my unreasonable grudge was thoroughly satisfied.
ok guys for me (on laptop) the game was running on my integrated graphics card wich was causing the game running on 4-5 fps max. I had to go over my nvidia panel to fix that and make my game run on my nvidia graphic card. Now its running very smoothly at over 60 fps
You should be able to go into Nvidia Control Panel and then Manage 3D Settings and set the OpenGL rendering GPU to the graphics card you're using for all games instead of doing it by program.

Don't bother with the story, it gets stupid and convoluted after KH2. You can play at any order, but always be mindful about the chronological setting of each game.

I never bothered with Gummi Ship crafting during my two KH2 playthroughs. For every level, I just selected the one that was 1 level higher than the last one I used. The newest craft, essentially. That said, if you're going to do all the levels and their missions, you'll have to face Hunter-X. Good luck.

Honestly, I had fun with both 358/2 Days and Re: coded. They're not KH1 or KH2, but I don't think they're bad. For anyone who wants to know, it's spelled "358/2 Days," but it's read "358 Days over 2."
I know how it's said, you're preaching to the choir here. And yes they aren't bad but they aren't good either. Days had a very awkward equipment system and Re:Coded was, for the most part, a re thread of KH1 but vastly inferior obviously. It didn't add anything new until the very end and even then it's barely ever mentioned in the franchise

So the game is about light and dark. where light is is also shadow. Light = Kingdom Hearts. Every heart has darkness in it. Only the x blade can open the kingdom hearts. The x blade contains 7 hearts without darkness and 13 darkness hearts. Theres one badass that wants the kingdom heart for himself. So he put parts of his dark heart in 13 ppl and created the organisation 13. There are 7 princess of heart (which are all disney princesses accept for one girl (kiri) with a heart without darkness inside. The badass wants everyone to be dark so he can get his own Kingdom heart. He created a machine to produce fake heartless to invade all worlds. Thats the shortest one u could tell someone who never knew about the game.

the price isn't worth it for pc compared to the console counterpart, the entire series is almost $200 on pc while on the ps4 is $30 which is really trash, other than the price the pc port is still pretty good, alot more options than i expected. would still recommend using a controller as the games were made for one the order you should go is 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, 3 and then melody of memories (this last one is a rhythm game so keep that in mind) overall i highly recommend playing the series, you should go play it.
The Kingdom Hearts magnum opus would be kingdom hearts 2, it has some of the best and smoothest gameplay I've ever seen a a video game ever, very challenging if you decide to do the harder difficulties and has very good replayablity.
In this case it would be 2.5 which is the remastered version of 2. It includes some cut content and some additional content like extra boss fights, extra keylbades and a bunch of enhancements that were exclusive to the then Japanese only Final Mix version
If you never played any of the games before I suggest you play them all and in release order. But yes, 2.5 is definitely the all time best Kingdom Hearts game

Just keep it simple. Play KH1, then KH2, then whatever you decide next. I've completed KH2 on PS2 years ago, so I'm just going to play KH1, which I didn't complete in two attempts (didn't own, borrowed). Also, there's a bug in KH2's very last boss (you fight one guy repeatedly) in every version except the PS2 original that could kill you near the start of the fight. Fair warning. Good luck!
All the main story Kingdom Hearts games are AMAZING! I played them all on console when they came out. Seeing as these just came out for PC I can't say if the controls are any good, but the games themselves are awesome. Honestly try playing them in order. So 1.5, 2.5, and then 3. But you can always just skip to 3, but do not skip to 2.5 without playing 1.5, you will be very confused if you care about the story at all.

I think it's disgusting how people like Epic Games (assuming they set the sell prices) hope to capitalize on individuals who may not be able to afford such luxuries at this time. Instead of bundling the games together as the Mass Effect Legendary Edition will do, hopefully, they charge 15,064.90 Rubles, or around 176 euros, about 200 USD for all 4 games, and the last one is just some music game. Such audacity. Thank god for piracy. May seem a bit shitty for saying that, but everyone deserves to have the same pleasures of playing these games regardless of income. People are struggling, and should not be punished.

Thing is, I was forgetting to copy and paste the files from the CODEX folder (inside the .iso file) to the game folder.
The game lauched correctly after I did that.
Then download direct x from microsoft and install it.
If you cant install direct x, or cant launch the game when youve installed direct x, then you might not have windows 10.
It could also be that you have a graphics card, thats not supporting direct x 12. Older graphic cards dont support it.
Windows 10 is required to play this game unfortunally.
Now i can play it now.

If you use a ps4 controller you can natively connect the controller via windows 10.
Then afterwards open steam, and add kh1.5+2.5 as a non steam game.
Then at game properties in steam, select that you wanna use the ds4 input method.
This way i could play yakuza 0 how its supposed to be with the correct buttons.
And this worked for fifa as well without the controller having to be in exclusive mode.
So try it this way :)

have a problem with the game where KH2 and Re:Chain won't work after
trying to create a new game, I tried starting both and once the opening
cutscene starts it goes full dark and skipping the cutscene doesn't help

For me personally, as much time as I'll probably spend with this game, using a VPN the whole time and verifying it's connected isn't worth it. Launched it yesterday morning and woke up today to a DMCA letter citing this game from my ISP, downloaded it through DDL no torrents.
10 years of piracy and the only other time this happened was when Ubisoft implemented a phone-home system with user IP's in pirated copies within one of the new Assassins Creed games, also downloaded through DDL no torrenting.

So i'm not surprised they added some kind of feature like this on their new games.
Unfortunately, they can't do anything against VPN nodes since they're encrypted packets and it's forbidden by law to even ask someone for his encryption key without any evident proof. (It's like asking for password of someone you suspect without proof).
Normally, VPN services worldwide are protecting their customers but be extremely careful about the free ones strongly if you're in a country where download/streaming is monitored by autority. Read the general conditions of use before paying a VPN service.
Now i wonder if more companies are gonna start implementing this feature soon for newer games, cuz hot damn!
Edit: I had the same issue with playing DDD but when i play on windowed mode it plays normal the cutscene and also the gameplay, tried with KH2 on windowed mode and it works fine...why i cant play it on fullscreen mode...help please

I personally didn't care for it as well. One of my gaming buds had a problem with fighting Sephiroth and shoved the controller into my hands. Gotta tell ya, I sucked harder than Paris Hilton would in order to stay relevant. So I started from scratch and tried again. The vengeance is the only thing that got me through the game in the first place. Couldn't see myself playing the other games just for the explanation of these other Squenix charas nor was I thrilled that I haveta replay the remakes for it all to make sense. I was rollin in an Arwing to get to the Colosseum and I beat the TIMBS off of Cloud's side piece. Fair to say my unreasonable grudge was thoroughly satisfied.

Only the x blade can open the kingdom hearts.
The x blade contains 7 hearts without darkness and 13 darkness hearts.
Theres one badass that wants the kingdom heart for himself.
So he put parts of his dark heart in 13 ppl and created the organisation 13.
There are 7 princess of heart (which are all disney princesses accept for one girl (kiri) with a heart without darkness inside.
The badass wants everyone to be dark so he can get his own Kingdom heart. He created a machine to produce fake heartless to invade all worlds. Thats the shortest one u could tell someone who never knew about the game.
the order you should go is 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, 3 and then melody of memories (this last one is a rhythm game so keep that in mind)
overall i highly recommend playing the series, you should go play it.

I played them all on console when they came out. Seeing as these just came out for PC I can't say if the controls are any good, but the games themselves are awesome.
Honestly try playing them in order. So 1.5, 2.5, and then 3.
But you can always just skip to 3, but do not skip to 2.5 without playing 1.5, you will be very confused if you care about the story at all.
As for me, I think I tried briefly a Kingdom Hearts game in 2004 on GBA, cos a friend lent it to me... Gee, it feels like ages ago...

I've had the game fully-downloaded for a while now (Amazing quality! Thanks so much!) and it only took me about 20 minutes at 15MBps.
1Fichier does not limit your speeds, regardless of other users. To get optimal speeds, you either a) must spend 6 Euros per month (hence the controversial part of this) OR use a VPN (ProtonVPN has a free 7 day 'trial'. Just keep adding new accounts to extend) at a slightly reduced fee.
Do NOT use XDM as your downloader if you have not paid for a subscription to 1Fichier, a)it won't work, since it is not supported - unless you're a paid subscriber, as download managers is a premium feature b) It will count as a 'download', and regardless of being unable to download anything, it will count in the 30min wait quota.
Also, it seems that if you click the 1Fichier link, then click the blue link, with a premium sub, it automatically jumps to the download without having to go to the website, at least for me.

I think it's disgusting how people like Epic Games (assuming they set the sell prices) hope to capitalize on individuals who may not be able to afford such luxuries at this time. Instead of bundling the games together as the Mass Effect Legendary Edition will do, hopefully, they charge 15,064.90 Rubles, or around 176 euros, about 200 USD for all 4 games, and the last one is just some music game. Such audacity.
Thank god for piracy. May seem a bit shitty for saying that, but everyone deserves to have the same pleasures of playing these games regardless of income. People are struggling, and should not be punished.
