Main problem with the show since Chibnall took over is really bad writing. I mean, I wasn't that big fan of Moffat, but at least his run had some interesting moments and characters. Chibnail may be good for realistic crime/thrillers like Broadchurch, but he sucks at Sci Fi which was already kinda obvious from episodes he did under previous show runners. I'm also not thrilled with Whittaker's take on The Doctor - feels too much like an imitation of Tennet/Smith, then a genuine performance. I always thought Ema Thompson would make a great female Doctor, also Tilda Swinton or Eva Green for a younger version.
I dont know, teh weeping angel monster can be kind of cool. Attack when you look away and freeze when you look at them. They've got a summon-able mod for those for Skyrim.
Er.. so this game is played through a browser on a fake cell phone in the game.. wow.. I can see this tanking. What we Need is a real Action Adventure Doctor Who in first person so we can Be the Doctor. No one has ever done that. They can even have a 3rd person option for kids who can't handle the immersion or who are just gay enough to want to look at a characters backside the whole game.
Think about it.. we have the tech now to make every fantasy you could do in a Doctor Who universe come true on the game player screen.. why wouldn't someone do that with hundreds of thousands Doctor Who fans?
Excuse me Son.. it is a Fact that games that offer Both views, first person and third person make the most money and appeal to the largest audience. You are just speaking out of ignorance. A Good Doctor Who game Could work because it's what people have sought after for Years.. it's just that No One has the balls or the finances to make it because the BBC who Owns Doctor Who WONT.
It's not a case of it "can't" happen but more of a case of it "won't" happen. I'd enjoy a good doctor who game but I just gave up on that idea. also no 3rd person, you've seen what happened with that dr who game on the wii
I saw a gameplay video of Doctor Who Return to Earth. That was silly child stuff. I would like a more serious game not in cartoon style. To me, to really Be The Doctor would be awesome. I have been a fan since I used to watch it on the PBS channel in the mid 1970's. In Second Life I have built my own Tardis from scratch, one life size and one I shrunk into an earring complete with flashing light on top both using photorealistic textures and images. I own several paid for Tardis's complete with interiors in SL where you can walk around the console and even fly them to other parts of the sim in first person. I have also built many sonic screwdrivers. If there is one good game I wanna play, it would be a doctor Who game where I can Be The Doctor.
