my game crash after the jail with a japanese style, when the phantom thieves come back to reality after saving a certain someone. If you've used all the solutions you can, but still have problems with the game, try this method. Rename "C:\Windows\system32\pid.dll" to "pid_bak.dll". I couldn't find this method anywhere on the Internet and found it myself. Renaming this file resolved the crash issue and also made loading incredibly fast at startup.

Because people get value and enjoyment from games in different ways. Take me for example: I fucking love the Dark Souls series, some of my favourite games, but I couldn't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut about ANY of the boss fights in those games. I get my enjoyment from exploring the excellently designed levels, finding all the items and shortcuts, unpacking the stories of the NPC's I meet. The boss fights, to me, are just frustrating roadblocks to doing the things I really enjoy - and if I could cheat my way past them, I would do it in an instant, because fuck them. If that's not something you can understand, it's fine, you don't really need to, it just boils down to everyone being different and will enjoy things in different ways, no one way is any less or any more valid than any of the others.
If you guys want to play without black screen just don't use your graphic's card (For nvidia) "overwrite settings" like anti-aliasing from the graphics card itself. Just let the application determine its settings don't let the graphics card take over its setting bec it messes up the game's default graphics settings within itself. Basically let the graphics options into "Application-Controlled" instead of using your preference.
rpcs3 is a thing, you can still play p5 (and not p5r) but still, it can run at 30/30 fps for me at 1600x900 res to me(because of ps3, but overall it's still ok tho)

This game is really, really good. Even a non-Persona fan will probably enjoy the gameplay, but it works best as a sequel to Persona 5. To be clear, I really don't like any other musou crossovers like the Zelda, Fire Emblem, or Dragon Quest ones, this one is more of an action RPG with large enemy groups.
If you're using winrar, you just need to extract the first part and it will do the rest of link the rest of the parts with it. So no need to select all and extract. Just the first part will suffice.
I already finished the Akane bossfight but after the fight and the cutscene. The next cutscene were it suppose to shown that they were back in the real world. I tried copying game save files but in the launch it says no game save data found? I put the save files in the correct locations. I even deleted previous save files. Does anyone know how to fix it? I cannot proceed from smartphone scene so I really need to use another save file.

Hey, sorry to bother, but I tried this and it didn't quite work out for me, it wouldn't recognize the save file. Did I perhaps make a mistake somewhere? Do I have to bring everything to Steam before putting that file in? Do I put the contents from the winrar file into the P5S or the entire Winrar?
Optimization issue i guess, Will be fixed in the upcomming updates. Unless it's only your graphics card driver that is outdated. If thats the case you need only update it to latest version.

I'm not sure why people have blackscreen and to fix it they need to change movie 0 to 1. but in my case I just leave it to the way it were and tested to see if I got blackscreen or not. The game is not as popular as persona 4 golden or something. on steam as of now 27 feb I only see feedback is 2230. that's not really a good sale. for me in my case I feel the game is over price. A$99 only get 2230. what happened if the price is A$59 or less? will it get 20000 feedback positive the same way as persona 4 golden? depend on how much people buy it. persona 5 royal will not port to pc.
Also unlike Persona 4, the game it's a sequel of another one that's not even in pc, so basically only fans of P5 would buy the game and pay that price. If they had plublished P5 Royal or vanilla instead, the case would have been completely different, so yeah, we won't have P5R in a very long time.

I think that you should definetly play persona 5 first. If you have a playstation 3 or 4, great, but I guess you don't so you can play on pc with rpcs3. I feel like the game is full of spoilers, but I don't think that there will be spoilers for the climax of the story. Play at your own risk.
I haven't played or looked into it much myself, as I wanted to play this game blind, but I believe your fine to play this without persona 5, though you may miss out on some references that is made to jokes from the original, you'll enjoy it better but might not understand some stuff, as a side note though, RPCS3 is a free PS3 emulator, and if you get a copy of Persona 5 then you can play it on the emulator, though I've also heard rumors that Persona 5 royal(the expanded version) is supposed to be coming to PC march 30th, which is next month. either way, I hope you enjoy either game!

Has anyone figured out how to play the game WITHOUT playing it on windowed mode or disabling the movies? It stays stuck in a black screen if you go fullscreen
Just a head's up, I found out that 50% of folks can run this with no issues. And the other half, who some have high end systems, cannot run it at all. The game smells of poor optimization, and I would expect a patch to be released in the upcoming weeks. So if anyone has issues running it, hold tight, at least until a proper patch/superior crack is released.
Can anyone help me out if they faced a similar issue? This game is an unplayable slideshow for me and working badly even though according to online videos people with worse computers than mine are playing it fine, and I've played games with higher requirements with no issue. Even with the settings, resolution and render scaling lowered to the point that it looks like a GBA game, it's the same degree of lag and low FPS. Anyone experienced this and have any fix?
Yep, Windows 10. i5-8265U, Intel UHD620, 4GB RAM. I'm aware it's a potato and technically below the requirements, but I checked on YouTube and it runs fine on lower-end systems. At the very least, to the extent I lower the settings, it doesn't make sense for the game to perform so badly (literally single-digit FPS if that, long lags, screen freezes). Hoping it's some optimization bug that can be worked around.
The intel UHD tho, For that i'm not sure, I'm aware this game's not very demending, But not to that point. Maybe it'll get better with future updates, Keep in mind it just released, So updates will surely help optimize it. Yep, I lowered it to even 640x480 lol, same performance regardless of what the settings are, I assume something in the optimization isn't changing how many resources the game uses. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Thanks for the reply :)

Uhm that spec is wayyy below the minimum specs + the minimum ram should be 8 but anyways...Try turning off 60 fps and turning off all graphic option as well as go in windowed mode

nope, its got denuvo. Im not sure how it got cracked unless its an old version that was cracked or a copy without denuvo got leaked or the early access from the deluxe edition was released without it by accident.
the deluxe edition had early access to it, but the version of the game that was uploaded by the devs had no denuvo in it, so they propably forgot to put it in or it broke
horribly wrong, persona 5 royal has goals to obtain before being allowed to play the new stuff, if you dont do those goals its normal persona 5. even after that, the new endings are mostly "gee i wonder what happens" then you just reload and get the true ending which is BARELY different than base p5.
exactly like p4g, they've done this for awhile 3 had 3 FES 4 had 4 golden and now 5 has 5 royal its just better to get the second version as its everything the first one had and more
okay so i dont know what happened to my other comment, it was pending and now removed so i guess i gotta retype it, thanks igg. not retyping it all but basically what i said is that ive played em all too its not necessary to get p5 and p5r as you can play base p5 in royal and that the differences over all arent actually that drastic. and i went ahead and looked it up as a precaution it does say its a "sequel taking place 6 months after the vanilla game (or 4 months after royal)" also keep in mind royal is just aslightly updated version, they do this with them since 3 with 3 fes and 4 with 4 golden. theyre not meant to really be treated as a whole new thing just the same game with slightly more as an "update" to get a quick cash grab
Pretty sure its not slight difference. P5R has the story of P5, then after you beat it you are then playing the Royal story that introduces you to the new female character + her backstory/new antagonist. So its like saying it has 2 stories in 1 game. Newcomers are better off getting their hands on P5R to avoid doing the same story twice just to get to the new content b/c they are pretty lengthy or just watch a complete walkthrough if they dont have income to buy a console..
the ending is what i was mostly talking about not being that different and its not the taxi driver is maruki and morgana and sumire show up for as a "were still here though" situation, the ending isnt that different besides that most of the game is the same (which still means its not that different) and getting p5r and not base p5 was my entire point to begin with because of that reasoning

So everything was doing fine have to fiddle around in the appdata to fix the black screen issue and everything is doing well until I've reach the hideout and Futaba ask everyone to take out their phones including mine and the screen is stuck holding the phone with the phone showing nothing pls help me fix this
the game config file, it has a line 0 turning it into 1 might have caused this.
The game has a folder "data/pd". Deleting or moving that folder can cause this too. Reverting the steps should be able to fix this issue if any of these have happened.
Well, guess thats a bug then. Reinstalling MIGHT fix it but idk. Thats just 1% chance. U cant get past that unless u can get the movies working. So try finding a way to do that i guess. Or maybe wait for the day 1 patch to come out. That might fix this.

Change to 30FPS in Display settings/Lower the graphic settings/Upgrade your PC/Use your dedicated GPU (can be easily searched) instead of the integrated one (laptops often have both integrated and dedicated GPU)
Something must be wrong with your settings. I'm playing on a laptop with GTX 1060 and i7 8750H, all settings turned up and it's really smooth 60fps at 1440p. Anything under 55fps will cause slow down.
Ahh..I never know. I haven't play any game from the series but can see people recommending this title as a good JRPG to play. I just finished Trails in the Sky the 3rd and just started the Crossbell duology very recently. Maybe I should pass this one.
Strikers is NOT a JRPG just so you know. As for the actual Persona 5, it depends. If you're OK with sticking to a strict activity schedule then you'll enjoy it a lot because the story is genuinely good as are the characters and mechanics

But doing that turns off the movies and as a result you cant enter your name, and progress further. I had the problem on linux. Had to import saves from a windows vm later on.
yep that did the trick but there's a new problem the game is now stuck on the phone and all I did was set movie to 0 which was working really well mind you but after Futaba ask us to put our phones out well the screen was stuck to the phone. The characters are still moving and you can use the log but after that I'm pretty much stuck

Except this is a persona game first and foremost and yes it does have denuvo. Thing is SEGA released the DRM free version of the game by accident and really quickly took it down but not quick enough for Goldberg to not make the steam emulator

To fix the black screen problem you need to go to %appdata% folder, then SEGA, Steam, and finally the P5S folder. Inside look for the config file and open it with the memopad(or just any text editor)
Search for the line: 0 and change it to 1
That way it should let you play

Take me for example: I fucking love the Dark Souls series, some of my favourite games, but I couldn't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut about ANY of the boss fights in those games. I get my enjoyment from exploring the excellently designed levels, finding all the items and shortcuts, unpacking the stories of the NPC's I meet. The boss fights, to me, are just frustrating roadblocks to doing the things I really enjoy - and if I could cheat my way past them, I would do it in an instant, because fuck them.
If that's not something you can understand, it's fine, you don't really need to, it just boils down to everyone being different and will enjoy things in different ways, no one way is any less or any more valid than any of the others.
Nothing wrong with pirating though, we are a tiny minority among consumers.

The game smells of poor optimization, and I would expect a patch to be released in the upcoming weeks. So if anyone has issues running it, hold tight, at least until a proper patch/superior crack is released.

I'm aware it's a potato and technically below the requirements, but I checked on YouTube and it runs fine on lower-end systems. At the very least, to the extent I lower the settings, it doesn't make sense for the game to perform so badly (literally single-digit FPS if that, long lags, screen freezes). Hoping it's some optimization bug that can be worked around.

not retyping it all but basically what i said is that ive played em all too its not necessary to get p5 and p5r as you can play base p5 in royal and that the differences over all arent actually that drastic.
and i went ahead and looked it up as a precaution it does say its a "sequel taking place 6 months after the vanilla game (or 4 months after royal)"
also keep in mind royal is just aslightly updated version, they do this with them since 3 with 3 fes and 4 with 4 golden. theyre not meant to really be treated as a whole new thing just the same game with slightly more as an "update" to get a quick cash grab
