Check your task manager if Windows Defender pops up that might be the culprit. Try also if you have UAC on and installed it to your C drive you may want to move the folder elsewhere. Also, right-click on the exe file by going to its properties and see if windows has the file locked. It should say something like "this file came from another computer" or something like that. Also try to allow the exe to be exempted by your antivirus.

I was curious so I went looking and there are some that say they work on modern LCD, LED, Plasma or even projectors and are PC compatible though a USB or their own censor bars. That said they all had complaints by people about compatibility problems for a lot of PC games since I guess they just aren't made for using them. They still seem mostly for playing old Xbox and PS games on new TVs.
