Well open world it's NOT! I found myself just running thru each section wondering when will it be over. Kinda like going to the doctor/dentist office just wondering how much longer you have to be there. This game could have been so much more feels more like one of those $5 late 90's games.I guess it's ok if your really bored
It seems to me that it wouldn't be too hard, and would expand your potential buyer pool, to make any First Person/Third Person game just scroll/switch, between First and Third like Skyrin does. Because personally I only play games like this in FPS on PC. And then play ThirdPS on console. There might be a LITTLE extra work, to get it to control well. A dedicated ThirdPS mode is probably more refined then how Skyrim does it. But maybe just START with whatever mode is the base mode. ThirdPS for GTA, but FPS as an option.
I am the EXACT same way, in fact when I play FPS, I use kb/m setup as I am more fluid using it. I CAN'T play FPS for shit on consoles. 3rd person shooters tho, consoles or not, I am fine either way. In fact, I ROCKED at Socom 1 and 2 on the PS2, one of the first broadband multiplayer shooter on console that was in 3rd person. I got Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Doom Eternal for both PC and PS4. I got them first on PS4 and SUCKED at them both but I ended up getting DOOM for mad cheap and rocked it on PC so I waited till New Colossus went on sale and got that too and also rocked it. I am used to the control settings almost being maxed out on PC but I can't control it for shit on PS4 and if I move it to a slower setting, it's like playing in thick mud where I still end up getting wasted. I've tried using kb/m setup on the PS4 and tho its better, its still not perfect. It's more likely all in my head tho, as I never gave it much of a chance and only used it for a few days...
The first one was good tho. Like, really, really good. I think because of the backlash of the second and Neil Druckmann being, well Neil Druckmann it may have poisoned the first game to some degree, which is understanding and happens all through out different types of media. The first game was an excellent story tho. I've played a lot of really good games where the gameplay was awesome but the plot was secondary(Any Metal Gear Games TBH, need a roadmap just to understand them) This game and God of War(PS4) where one of those where gameplay AND story where spot on and awesome. But obviously taste is subjective and people won't like the same things, which is human. I mean, folks who are heavy into RPG's and Souls Like games may really hate sports games and vice versa. This is why I never understood those who would freak out if their favorite game got a lower score from a reviewer over a different reviewer and it brought the overall meta-score down a fraction of a point.

There is, MONEY... LOL You can't buy a game for a few dollars, with professional voice acting. As a matter of fact, you pay anything as you are here, so you can't ask for an excuse...
programming is kinda hard, modelling takes talent, but TALKING, we arent even speaking about motion captured acting here, just some overpaid dudes reading lines. The devs should just do it themselves
The studio is most likely a shoestring operation along with NOT even being from an English speaking country. These are two very big hurdles. Shit, even Capcom had shitty English voice acting when they translated the Resident Evil series back in the day. If they where from an English speaking country, it would have been a lot easier to find good but non-professional voice acting.
Voice acting does take an ability to be comfortabale reading out lines in a natural sounding way not everyone can do it without practice nor if they lack the confidence in themselves. Voice acting and talking are not exactly the same especially depending on character you are trying to pull off alongside your natural voice. I'm a guy with a fairly high voice so I can't voice act many tough soldier like characters as it just would not sound convincing. However for examples if you gave me a cartoon character to voice act or a younger more youthful character I could pull that one off these are some very generalized examples.
Cheap decent voice acting is a thing now though. There's Voice123, upwork, even fiverr. There are lots of people out there who will even do quality work for free if the game is interesting enough and you ask them nicely. All it takes these days to have bad voices in your game is to not really think or care about the VO work.
