Overall I found this game to be frustrating and boring for its first two hours. It seemed like it would eventually open up to something very fun, but your character's attacks and abilities are just awkward and borderline useless early on, and about half of the enemies you come across are projectile spammers. The worst are the flying enemies, who will sometimes fly up out of your range no matter where you go and just nip at you, acting more like environmental hazards than anything else. Some of the early abilities you get are a little volley projectile that seems to explode on contact and deal AoE damage, but it's pretty much impossible to hit any flying enemy. One ability is a static poison gas cloud, which is totally useless against mobile enemies. You get a girl that swings a mace around which deals great knockdown damage, but only if you use it on the ground - so again, it's weak against flying enemies. The worst offender is the crappy dodge, which gives you huge i-frames, but also moves your character way too far to the side. I was basically never hit by the thing I was dodging, but by dodging into something else. I just found it frustrating and hard to justify continuing.

Well, Hollow Knight is just a Super Metroid/Castlevania: SOTN ripoff, so it wouldn't be quite right. This is just another metroidvania, but it is a good one.
Normally I would try out this game, but I've seen plenty of it and it looks really gorgeous, I'm gonna buy this one for once. One downside though I'm lacking 80 cents haha oh well no harm done.
i tried it and i can say this is a really great game. kind of Souls-lite but in 2D. but because this game is so good, i quit playing after an hour and uninstalled it because i'd rather wait until the game is finished so i can taste all the good things at once. by doing this, i still keep my hypes up. i'm not a fan of "early access" games, getting contents little by little until the hype runs out, also little by little.
oh i always buy the game i like, i only use this site to try out games, you know, finding out if the game i'm about to buy is worth the money or not. how about you, Sung Jun Garden?

Yup, downloading a crack game in early access will NOT let your save carry on, unless if the game has its save on the Start Menu folder thingy, so its better to wait this one out. shame i like the visuals and YOU EVEN HAVE A CUTE COMPANION!!! Like in Bioshock Infinite. game is meh but Elizabeth and her interactions with the world and with Booker was my only motivations to Finnish the games and DLCs
