I am gettin this error after the astral school's introduction,I have no idea what this is sayin i tried googin but got nothing. I tried the advanced movie settings as i saw in one of the comments below and it didn't help as well.
Sorry for the delay, I couldn't recreate that error, do you have steam installed? Try to disable that process, and launch the game... otherwise I don't have many ideas, sorry
game working perfectly apply all fix/patch and sure enough my game can save/load file thank god i had senran banka laying around on my drive its save tons of time compared to need download the game just for kbs files lol
So for everyone who is having issues with not being able to save here is how I fixed it. Step 1: Download a Yuzusoft game from IGG. I personally used Senren Banka. Step 2: Extract it and open the disc image file. Step 3: Open the folder called Darksiders. Step 4: Copy ds settings configuration file and steam_api.dll to the Riddle Joker folder, the one with the exe for the game. Step 5: Hopefully it worked and you can enjoy. Edit: What I noticed was a SteamEmu folder was created when I launched the game after doing this when before it was never created.
For Step 1 where do you mean go to help? Edit: Never mind found it. What's interesting though is my fix doesn't change that. Mine still has a check mark on the store save data in steam cloud. Either way if this works it will be a lot simpler. For anyone who is unaware just scroll your mouse to the top of the screen while on the game.
Tried copying the ds and steam_app.dll, but somehow it's an "invalid MS-DOS function for me" :c Any ideas? Edit: I downloaded again Senren for the ds and steam_api.dll. I suppose the torrent files got corrupted when I installed it. Also, windows defender got in the way in saving files, so that's another thing. Finally, I can save the files now. Cheers!
No problem. Looked up the problem and that exactly means the file you are moving is corrupted, so if anyone else has this problem just re download the game.
Can confirm that this seems to work for the not saving error.Well,I think it does,since I also installed the 18+patch and the 1.1 update from above.Game seems to be working fine,and now I can quick save and normal save,and load from those saves. redownload the game again but this time turn off your defender first before downloading.I just finish download/install and everything seems to be working as fine. Also remember to install the new update and patch (if ya wanted too) if you having issue upon saving the game please refer to fix above. Thank god i had senran banka pre-install fuh

VN is the type of game you have to judge on your own, because the genre is kind of a niche the only people buying this type of game are people that know they will like it so the rating is meaningless, there are few people trying this type game, and even a VN hated by half of the community won't reflect this since again people who bought the game knew they will like it and those who don't didn't bother, most vn have been out for a long time, so there is plenty of info for people to check before buying though in the end the big question is "H patch or not?" which i understand since no one wants a butchered incomplete game

I don't have problem with manual / auto save and load. already tested but not all age version because I installed adult version before testing. try to disable the anti virus and re-install the game and see how its goes.
I've tried reinstalling, disabling antivirus and run as administrator option. Nothing worked. I have adult version with patch 1.1. Save option doesn't create save file and quick save creates save that I can't load and when I check Quickload menu in options menu theres nothing in there
I just tested today. I have no problem with my manual save and auto-save. manual load and auto-load is just fine. I'm checking my save folder and it's still create new save and I save in new slot. I think it's your computer problem. try to do some basic problem solving such as run as admin and disable the anti virus and re-install the game. I'm still in original version of darksider release and I downloaded from this igg site. my version also have adult version install from nyan site for free. reply to you sebastian and @lckgaming:disqus as well.
