not much crashes but bugs, tons of them glitches, npcs dissapearing, some enemies on T-poses, black screens where you cant see a shit pretty much like if this game was still a very early access

Are we talking good massive or bad massive? Because between terrible balance, not-saving and "what do you mean it ends at act 3", I was sorely, sorely disappointed the first time around.

In my case(i have old PC-Rig 8ram geforce gtx 970 4ram),it works so far-still chapter 1-,saves as it should,runs smooth but i´ll let it know if there is any bugs occuring.
How old is your computer? Those min requirements aren't too bad, but I can understand if you have an older computer, wasn't long ago I still used my laptop from 2012 to game even after having enough money to upgrade.
you need a graphics card. that processor can suffice. i am playing this game with a 2 cores 4 threads and gtx 460 se. it's running great in my opinion. mind you, gtx 460 is not an expensive gpu, but it can run it. it's all in the graphics card baby!
Not worth updating to 1.0.16 update because it crashes when you reach Act 2/3 at the battlefield where you will have to save the old man (CELL-H). I was disappointed because the favorite spell "Death Gazer Railgun" has been buffed and yet the game is bugged all over again. (was planning to create a new character for the whole storyline). then I kept the update 1.0.16 because it wont bug out at the endgame anyways [Champion Of Stormfall]. Edit: Stay at update 1.0.14.0 -no campaign crashes -slight bugs (nearly wont bug anytime) -saves every character progression
Don't play this I bought it when it was in alpha, and it was worth its price back then now, even free, the game is not worth. How to ruin a game with high potential and fraud hundreds of people in 1 lesson : Ask Wolcen studio to do a game. Guaranteed results.
You could just wait. These patches are just fixes tho (except from the most recent endgame gear extension). They said that they'll work on content updates later on, after the fixing is done.
Hello, I installed the game and then patched in UPDATE V1.0.12.0, however, it no longer finds my backup and when I try to create a new character, it does not save. My username does not contain diacritics. Thanks for your help -Tried to launch in admin, same problem -Tried to move savegame folder , same problem I'm the best, i find the solution, i manualy create the savegame folder : C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\wolcen\savegames\characters\ , copy my old backups and its work. I am surprised to wonder myself
just be aware its extremetly grindy af, you will waste a lot of resources to barely get decent items and the endgame maps mostly 1 hit kill you if you dont have the top equipment,correct builds and a very fast internet connection speed

Yes, you have to. The game is a buggy mess and therefore the developers have to reactively patch insane amounts of stuff. There already has been update 1.10 as far as i know (which will come to igg in time as well) and there's no end in sight. But i think we can all be happy that they are patching it and not giving up, leaving it in a state in which you can experience loss of your level XX(X) characters at any point in time. Edit: Among the things they are fixing are major amounts of the skills you can learn and use, some of them do not work at all, while many do not scale as they should. Many of the passives do nothing at all or do something completely different to what they say. Therefore many GB of content have to be remade, added and changed.

because its a steam game. there is sometimes a chance where the game when launch will instead open steam, if it does that, just give up on trying to pirate that game. btw, the game is a hell zone, (i actually own the game) they are just nerfing skills and buffing monsters repeatedly, i would recommend waiting until they get their heads out of their asses and get to fixing the problem.

it is the save folder, find your save folder under C:\Users%yourusername%\Saved Games\wolcen\savegames\characters if it is not under C drive, then locate it on other drives, restore the default location back to C drive, then you should be able to save your character.
They have plans for an Act 4 and Act 5. That's why Act 3 feels "am I missing something?" Also the storyline that goes from Act 3 to "endgame" does mention "six months". So yeah, there's a lot that presumably happened in that six months (aka Act 4 and Act 5).
The Maingame/Maindownload on the Website is Version 1.0.0.10er and not updatet! You need Update 1.0.5 which is 3,71 GB big // Codex .nfo: "No previous update is required" Then download update 1.0.6 and so on pls upvote this Post for not get lost in the comments

download all the updates of the game, and click the update.exe of the file, install it on ur game folder, in order 1.02 - 1.04 - 1.05 - 1.06. and u're good

They doesn't have tough luck; they're just trash. As much as I totally deffend the whining against downtime server and lag the week of the release, or small glitch there and there, when it come to the absurdity amount of bug the game have, you just can't deffend them. There are numerous video on youtube to talk about the subject, but to put it simply, between Half of the skill tree beeing useless because either the bonus doesn't work, the spell doesn't work or the damage aren't buffed, added to that the Summon (or ally for that matter) that half the time just stop moving/attacking (same goes for ennemy) , a broken economy system , and even your own character that could be stuck into texture or just stop moving for who knows why.. I mean dude that's the fuckin core of the game, it's like making a FPS like COD and having half the gun that just simply doesn't work.. No sorry but no, at some point you can't put this on luck, especially when it comes out of Early Acces. The game is simply unfinished, unpollished, filled with bugs and bad codding, they did a trash job and they deserve their backslash. Again I'm all for excuses, expecially when it comes to online feature that you can't predict, but when you see this amount of stupidity in the game, just... yeah... let's just wait the next game and let them sink with the other failures we got :/ At least it's in these moment I'm glad all these teams like IGG Codex and all exist, how the heck would we test these abomination without them.

I would say you're right if 99% of the bugs were in Online or Online-Feature oriented But as I said I managed to get my character stuck into texture (letting me die without any possibility to move) , my sumon doesn't move/attack and other things like this that are strictly gameplay oriented Lmao So yeah... seems like this Early Acces wasn't worth it, that's sad : / Could have been great...
Remember how poe started. I think this is quite good developed now. I hope they get a hold of all the bugs and mechanics so they can expand like poe did and still does.
It won't be the first game that launched with issues. Remember Diablo 3 the first month? Good chunk of bugs. I'm not excusing all the bugs, but a bug-free game at launch? With the variety in video cards, anti-virus programs, etc, etc, etc? Good luck! At least they're trying to fix the bugs and work on balancing things. Not always succeeding, but they're working on it. And if you're willing to dig into the guts, there's a lot of xml files you can edit to change a lot of things easily. Of course you need to get a program to unpack the wolcen files.
It's not luck. They just rushed it because they probably needed the money, and didn't play test their new content, at all. It's a buggy mess with very few viable builds, but hey, we can always wait for updates before playing it.
How long do you think it took for PoE to get where it is now? Complex game = many bugs that invariably take time to fix. It's not like they had half the game completed just because it looks like PoE...
aww my mini gun got nerfed... It used to be +1 projectile to both skills and spells but now its same but with -50% damage penalty..... What the fk is the point of double projectiles if they do half damage anyways lol?
Half damage is a bit steep. Yes, there should be a penalty, but you should get something out of the trade. Of course I could find an excuse, ie more hits = more crits, more hits = more procs, etc, etc, etc. But that's just finding excuses. Nodes should provide a benefit and not feel like a "zero sum" deal.

That's not broken, that's just not encrypting the offline files. The PAK files can be extracted and many of the files in them are XML files which are easily edited. If you know the file you can change the game so that easy mode gives x1000 xp if you want.

Maybe.not 100% sure: 1:Go to/search : C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\wolcen\savegames,and copy it to a new folder(to keep it,when you uninstall cracked version), 2:Install legit game,create character n play abit, 3:Copy/paste savegames-folder from new folder back to C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\wolcen.It will maybe ask to override the folder say yes.. Hope it works
I found something,maybe it will help you: I updated to 1.02 and still i got crashes/freezes then i turned lensflare off vignette off motion blur off.,basicallly everyting under chromatic aberration to off,and it worked better as before. hope it helps too
My game was running great but i thought to give it a try and check the results. UNPLAYBLE. Seems like i drop more than 50fps by dissabling all of them,really weird But hey it works for you and thats really cool
do Act 2 in one sitting or you'll get reset back to either act 2 quest 1 or like me getting blasted back to the introduction. I also tried to fix it via save game file but it keeps taking me back to act 1 carrying all my items and level like a new game plus.
did you tried settting off lensflare and vignette?Or forwarding in savegame only the "StepId" as example StepID4 to Step ID5(Also in Last Progression)?
For those having the problem of starting in Act 1 again try this: Go to : C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\wolcen\savegames\characters Open XXXX.json (XXX=your character name) Go to : “Progression”: { “LastPlayed”: { “QuestId”: “INTRO_Quest1”, “StepId”: 4 Change INTRO_Quest1 with “ACTX_QuestX” where X is the number of the Act and Quest you played. Worked for me.
In my opinion the game is good and amazing, but the saddest thing is, its so easy to cheat, like just go to profile notepad and easy edit stats with 9999gold, 99999 lvl, etc. at the end Path of Exile is still better than Wolcen, i hope the game become online version like POE with a gameguard.
since it use cryengine its very easy to abuse the cheating but the bright side its a game with 100% mod support they could make a mod similar to diablo 2 median xl turn the game into a 1st/3rd person, tower defense, arena, etc..
Oh my God I forgot about Median. That mod was amazing, and the sole reason I played Diablo 2 at all within the past five years. That mod was a beast and the maker was always updating it into something new. He still might be for all I know. Good times.

They only changed in Options->Graphic under chromatic aberration everything to off: Vignette off, Lens flares off maybe also motion blur off(i did anyway because it looks sharper for me).And that worked for them without editing savegame

Progression save issues
We encountered two issues:
-Random items put in your personal chest are at risk of being lost Online. We identified a possible cause and we're working on a fix. -We're still working on a fix for characters disappearing after being created. -A hotfix(1.0.1.0 ER) was applied yesterday evening to resolve most of the quest progression loss for online and offline characters. We will push an additional safeguards this evening to prevent the issue from happening again, and we will keep monitoring the situation. So the Official Game still has a potential character and progression issue , the only patch so far bring it to 1.0.1.0 ER and it isn't guarantee to solve the problem. So as long as your game is bellow 1.0.1.0 you might lose progression, and even at 1.0.1.0 , it is not 100% sure to be fixed. Useless to ask IGG anything for now, the game itself is in this state, nothing to do with the crack or the upload. You have a workaround in the coment section that @Promethean posted , scroll down a bit. But if you want a working game without jiggy jagga in the files , you have to wait an official patch for now.

Yes it does still have some bug, you can do a workaround by editing a .json file , you can find this method bellow in the coment, but otherwise the game is not yet updated. Hopefully soon, gotta grin and bear it meanwhile.

For those who are tired of seeing the game waste time trying to connect to online before you can do anything. Go to settings and then under the network tab, tick start the game in offline mode- problem solved.

PSA: if you lose your progress you can edit your save file with notepad(character name.json) to get back to the act or quest you were on under progress section - last played just change act/quest number for example "ACT2_Quest3" then save and restart the game. if progress section doesnt appear start the game in act 1 then open the save file. Location of save file: C(root):\Users"name"\Saved Games\wolcen\savegames\characters

PSA To everyone: The game has a progress bug atm, upon exiting the game and a few various other things your story progress will not save, reverting you back to the start of Act 1 or sometimes to start of Act 2 depending on where you got to, need to wait for a fix from developers. Character progression is kept but you'll have to do story over. I advise waiting for hotfix before you invest heavy time.
Just edit your save file with notepad find section called progress - last played and enter act and quest number for example "ACT2_Quest3" you will have all previous waypoints unlocked in the act

So I made it to the first town and my character is level 2. I shut the game down and brought it back up and everything saved just fine. I did install it on a drive that isn't where the OS is installed. I know that installing these cracked games on the same drive as your OS sometimes requires you to "run as administrator" so that's the only thing I can think might be happening in your case.
edit your save file(character name.json) with notepad and under progression section just enter act number and quest number and restart the game to get back where you were
It attempts to authenticate with Steam and fails then it lets you choose to play "Offline Mode" From what I've read, you have an entirely different character in Offline vs. Online. Plus it is super rare for a cracked game to have any online capabilities so I seriously doubt there is any way around this.
:) Im playing now The Witcher 3 for the first time. I hate dragons, elfs and rest of the family :) but finally Ive tried Wiedźmin 3. Played straight with Complete Modpack from ModDB. And I must say that... I got sucked in. Probably 30 hours in, and I dont see an end. Hundreds of secondary quests, story and graphics are amazing. Still Hate D&D xD

Is it worth it to play alone ? I've heard the dev said it was meant to be played in multiplayer , the game is hard alone , but then someone here said the offline mode has a character separate from online... So... would it be good alone if you never played much hack'n'slash diablo/poe like ?
Hack n Slash ARPG games are one of the easier genres to wrap your head around fairly quickly. I've only played for about an hour but I see no reason whatsoever why you wouldn't be able to enjoy this thoroughly as a solo experience.
The reason they have different characters offline/online is because you can use cheat engine when playing Offline mode. You can all content in single player mode, you might just have to gear your character better when playing solo.
I see it kinda make sense I guess. But I wonder apart from beeing harder if it's worth it or if it will get boring you know. Like there is harder and harder... if by harder they meant "since you are alone it's hard to manage so much enemy alone" it's okey, but if it's because the enemy are meat-bag with 1 billion HP , it is just boring IMO to play. And generally these game are designed to go as a party , like the good ol' Tank Dps Healer , so here again I wonder if its worth a shot or not

I played the shit out of Diablo 1 & 2 offline and loved every bit. Although I really just don't enjoy playing online too much anyways. Other than Warframe I haven't really put too many hours into any online game.

FYI:there are some bugs which seems to be kinda gamecrashing: the summoner has a bug in one of the spells called parasite,this spell leads to game-crash. there is a bug wih skins-customisation:changing skins as example: a dagger leads to game-crash. so for the moment dont use skin customisation or at least you know it can lead to CTD Other then that have alot fun (even it clearly needs fixes and updates) Edit:I enjoy it very much so far n have to say its still my most loved genre. Only one tiny little thing i miss is Fog of War in the minimap/overlaymap i think its called.

I gave it a try and i think it`s fun. The passive system is a bit overwhelming at first but when one gets his bearings it offers some great combinations i think. Graphics are good, no complaints there. I really like being able to equip different items on the left and right slot for shoulders and hands. I didn't have much time the last 2 days but today im going to look a bit deeper into it. Anyway im sure im going to like it in the long run. I am a bit put off by that "crystalpunk" stuff...cannons shooting crystals etc, i would have prefered a middle age fantasy without that stuff, but it is by no means a problem. I can live with the addition of guns though. I looks like a fun game and with all the combinations it feels like there will be a loot to explore and try out. Im not sure im going to buy it sometime though....i have to see how fast its going to bore me. :) Anyway....with the quality of games we get here lately this is a gem. :-)

Edit: Among the things they are fixing are major amounts of the skills you can learn and use, some of them do not work at all, while many do not scale as they should. Many of the passives do nothing at all or do something completely different to what they say.
Therefore many GB of content have to be remade, added and changed.

there is sometimes a chance where the game when launch will instead open steam, if it does that, just give up on trying to pirate that game.
btw, the game is a hell zone, (i actually own the game)
they are just nerfing skills and buffing monsters repeatedly, i would recommend waiting until they get their heads out of their asses and get to fixing the problem.
if it is not under C drive, then locate it on other drives, restore the default location back to C drive, then you should be able to save your character.

As much as I totally deffend the whining against downtime server and lag the week of the release, or small glitch there and there, when it come to the absurdity amount of bug the game have, you just can't deffend them.
There are numerous video on youtube to talk about the subject, but to put it simply, between Half of the skill tree beeing useless because either the bonus doesn't work, the spell doesn't work or the damage aren't buffed, added to that the Summon (or ally for that matter) that half the time just stop moving/attacking (same goes for ennemy) , a broken economy system , and even your own character that could be stuck into texture or just stop moving for who knows why..
I mean dude that's the fuckin core of the game, it's like making a FPS like COD and having half the gun that just simply doesn't work..
No sorry but no, at some point you can't put this on luck, especially when it comes out of Early Acces.
The game is simply unfinished, unpollished, filled with bugs and bad codding, they did a trash job and they deserve their backslash.
Again I'm all for excuses, expecially when it comes to online feature that you can't predict, but when you see this amount of stupidity in the game, just... yeah... let's just wait the next game and let them sink with the other failures we got :/

At least they're trying to fix the bugs and work on balancing things. Not always succeeding, but they're working on it. And if you're willing to dig into the guts, there's a lot of xml files you can edit to change a lot of things easily. Of course you need to get a program to unpack the wolcen files.

So as long as your game is bellow 1.0.1.0 you might lose progression, and even at 1.0.1.0 , it is not 100% sure to be fixed.
Useless to ask IGG anything for now, the game itself is in this state, nothing to do with the crack or the upload.
You have a workaround in the coment section that @Promethean posted , scroll down a bit. But if you want a working game without jiggy jagga in the files , you have to wait an official patch for now.

Character progression is kept but you'll have to do story over. I advise waiting for hotfix before you invest heavy time.
literally under the download links there is a tutorial, in the link click on the numbers and it will show you screenshots of what to do exactly, you dont seem to be stupid when it comes to cracking, just pc illiterate.
