Yeah, I admit the Tripod was not as terrifying as it depicted in the book or the 2005 movie, it looks like the martian had a kind of tight budget in designing them lol. And the crafting parts break my immersion since we can practically has some way to bypass their shield tech.
Yes, it's like in the book, or at least those giant robots and the red grass, the only thing that don't look like in the book is that aliens are described as giant octopuses / squid, even more like giant jellyfish and in the game and the last movie are different
Obviously. But they said it ruined their idea of what they looked like in their head. And if they saw the movie, which was made 15 years ago and was pretty popular, that would have already ruined the image, no?
