I don't understand. I've hear good things about 1 & 2. 3 came out ages after, during that time Sega had another game that was partially inspired by Shemmue (Yakuza). But somewhere along the way this has gotten worse. Did they not call the Yakuza team up for some pointers?
Ouch. Felt that. Hey. Maybe they'll make a new Shenmue game before we all get gray hair that doesn't need the pandering of fans and thier wallets to resuscitate a long dead franchise. Here's hoping.
... Even now it is too late though, at least for me. I mean, i spoke out of moments of play, not full-game. Gotta love the retro atmosphere, seriousness, and the combat. I think the last one is what got most butchered in Shenmue 3 (which is a deal breaker). Love all that. Sadly, i no longer have the time nor dispositon to move tractors for 4 hours a day lol.
I heard the guy who made this game HATES videogames. His argument is "You don't have to like video games to make a good one." Well here you can see the result of that train of thought. This game is so bad it's embarrassing.
That guy made $6.3m on Kickstarter 🤣, then sold it to Epic 😆 and backers were really angry. Then he show up game, which fans have been waiting for 18 YEARS. xD
earned bucks from kickstarter who mostly were steam users then it betray them with epic exclusive release and not even with millions was enough to make it good

so true, especially when you're a fan who waited for 19 years only to find that the ending in this 3rd installment isn't even the conclusion, more like a cliffhanger you'd find in the middle of the storyline, so....sooo very far from ending
