The old version, pre GoG and PreSteam re-release could be cracked AND played on official servers. Updates came out? You could download the updates and get the new crack. Missing needed files? When you joined an MP game, you'd automatically D/L the missing files from the server hosting the game! Back in early 2000/2001-ish I never paid for the game but played the fuck out of MP maps along with the HOV addon Arena maps. Berrys Servers (it was a game hosting service that one would pay a mad CHEAP monthly fee for them to host a server of a game for people to play for free and was blazingly fast for its time) at the time had hosted different, 24hr servers. One was the normal MP maps and the other was HOV 1vs1/ 2vs2 arena and the others where the MP maps but where a 2 team DM, which became much more fun to play over all.
meh i dont give a fuck if i cant play it i have a huge list of compressed downloaded games and my top addiction who is doom modding, so i have plently of shit to entertaint myself
I am really not liking the way the devs are behaving on Steam with this re-release though, especially the price of the DLC content.. And they need to drop the price of the base game by about 5 to 10 bucks, or at least beef up the sale discount and extend the time on it.. I know they're hurting from being stepped on by corporate giants, but they're asking a little too much for what they've accomplished so far.. I get that they have legal fees to cover and what not, too, there's also avoiding the whole problem with Epic's reputation, despite the fact that they ask for far less of a cut than Steam, (Think about it, they probably had to decide on what was going to hurt their rep more.. Releasing on Epic again, or taking that extra 20% cut in profit by releasing on Steam) and honestly, I feel like that's what's beefing up the asking price they've got laid out.. My gut is screaming this, but I feel the developers should just be up front about that. At least then people can feel a little less like these guys are just trying to scam them, re-dropping a turd they just molded a little differently. We, the consumer base, don't know how far they plan to take this overhaul. Realistically, they could just jump ship like those before them. They really should be taking that in to account when reaching out to the community, financially or otherwise.. It's hard to trust anyone in this industry any more, it's in their best interest to be entirely transparent right now. I hope that they see this, too.. I know devs check these websites to see the status on the piracy of their games.. I went and bought a copy, don't let me down.
np booty and dont feel bad if you want a consolation this game feels unfinished, yesterday i played and theres some things like the hitboxes, the combat and the AI who still need a lot of rework i probably will delete it today because is giving me a bad taste :/
Yeah.. I feel like they just needed some funds to keep going, so they released it in a state that was good enough, you know how it goes.. I actually went and purchased a copy. I'll put some faith in this one.. I mean if they cared enough to pick it back up with the rap that it had, to try and overhaul it this much, they must care about their game.. I'll give them a chance to polish this up some more.
That's exactly what it is, whatever direction the trees fall in, it makes an AOE killbox. Sometimes if you're at the base of the tree and don't move before the tree explodes, you'll catch the edge of the killbox and die.. I just use the work axe to tap a tree and then run away from it, tap another, etc. etc. That way I can down a chunk of forest without having to worry about the falling trees, and just circle back around to pick up the scattered wood.
I won't try it. I played the original in first person as did thousands of others because we had that option. This version does not so It won't have the same immersive feel.
Yeah... Tried it for a couple of hours, and it's playable now... Albeit, a tad buggy and janky and glitchy. I'd put its combat and gameplay slightly above that of Conan Exiles, while its building / crafting / world map well bellow it. The char. customisation is barely worth mentioning. The funny thing is that Epic paid for a year's worth of exclusivity on the game, while in it was in a state that was genuinely "alpha" in quality; and now that it's graduated to an effective "beta" tier product, it's no longer theirs! Verdict: Co-op only / 10
It's not bad compared to what Rune II was.. At least now there are towns, NPC's, quests, and some clear direction to go in.. It's completely different, but still has the same feel that Rune II gave the moment you booted up the first release, which I liked.. I really wanted to like Rune II, now I can tolerate it. It's a solid 20 dollar game.
According to the majority of Steam reviews, it's a much better game now with massive improvements (almost a new game, really), but still not as good as the greatest RPGs out there, and not as enjoyable as the first game. But nothing some patches couldn't fix, apparently. (except maybe the bad voice acting) Anyway, the gameplay videos I saw looked pretty cool and I'll give it a try.👍 I suggest you read the story behind the fight between Ragnarok Game and Human Head Studios/Bethesda, it's interesting and shows you how fucked up this industry is. Oh, and fuck Bethesda. I think I'm done with them now, that was the final straw. Trying to sabotage others, they only sabotaged themselves in the end.
compared to the release from epic fail this one seems to have improved by a little but it still needs some work and bethesda is meh since they are another of microsoft bitches, i dont think they have any bright future
What I don't understand is why would Bethesda even feel the need to sabotage a game such as Rune II? I don't think it was ever going to be competition for Elder Scrolls. If they really did sabotage it, they pretty much shot themselves in the foot for absolutely no reason. I would really take this with a grain of salt.
It's VERY simple LOL Floyd. Game came out November 12th , 2019. Showing that last version was $hite, coz of Bethesda. Arrow show that article is NEW and they started battle in court NOW. That's a new version of that game (November 13th , 2020).
It's not bad, guys. It's not triple A, it's more of a B grade RPG, it'll probably be a hit with Germans. I like me a good Eurojank RPG with decent gameplay. That's what this feels like. Gothic with gameplay that's a bit more smooth, with kind of a Viking: Battle For Asgard vibe crossed with it.
No. This is the re-release of Rune II by the surviving, fighting devs that helped build the first one and stood by it. Hence the name "decapitation edition" as a slap in the face to Human Head studios. I don't know if it's going to be good or not, but this is their stab at coming back from the whole ordeal, so I hear on the grapevine.
Some have built-in Adblockers to them, like Brave and Opera.

Godfall is a crap.
Beautiful and empty inside.
Shallow.

My list of downloaded games is long too.
So long, that I have 20GB left, from 3TB.
I need to delete games that I haven't played yet, coz there is no more room for them, and I think New Ones are better xD
