Most of those were during early access before the campaign came out. Seems to be pretty popular now.

Hmm, I see it has first person flight control, might as well give it a shot before Everspace 2 comes out in December.

Didn't the previous one also have first person?

Because of the bad reputation it earned, I didn't even bothered to check. xD

Also the first one i think had first person as well. It was one of the things that kept me from trying the game since i'm not a big fan of first person flying, makes my stomach turn

Huh, you must be the kind that doesn't play FPS game as often, or even 3D game in general, because my little sister would throw up even when watching me playing Gran Turismo with chase view from afar... lol

Oh no i play A LOT of 3d games, they're my jam. I don't play FPS often, i'm not a big fan of the genre. Only FPS series i ever enjoyed was Bioshock so i CAN handle first person games but only if the camera is more or less steady. If there's too much sway or bob or turning upside down that's when my stomach starts turning

I got to be honest, played it for an hour or so just now, and it was still kind of lame... like, what? 2007 graphics in 2020, yet it's unable to achieve 60FPS on a PC that can handle Mafia 3?
Something is seriously wrong with this game, not to mention the exaggerated voice acting, meaningless dialogues/cut scenes and the weird story it has to offer.

my favorite type of games, spaceship exploring. Colony Wars series on PSX my best nostalgia, when we met Alien Existence then cant Battle, the only way is running

Colony Wars... Both games were absolutely fantastic. The first one even had a branching storyline - the outcome of the story would change depending on your success in missions. And there were huge battles with capital bosses and all that Star Wars shenanigans. Good one mate.

yes, the first one is fantastic.. we prevent the Alien Weapon charged to destroy our Sun. I still remember the graphic is unique for that era. Yeah! I remember that battle, when we destroy the enemy ship, they were splitted into pieces. love the blue emiited light from the mothership booster too, beautiful.

I'm not even sure at this point how much I actually remember but it was good for the time for sure. Branching storyline in a space game man ... Way ahead of it's time. There was also a kind of spin off on the ... Dreamcast I think ..? Not sure here. Some other pretty similar spece game in the same setting ?
NINJA EDIT : na my bad it's probably Starlancer, another space game but not in the same setting, just strangely similar. And there were THREE Colony Wars title. I played all three but ... a long time ago. On a Playstation so ... Yeah. Long time ago.

Depends on what exactly is being compared. Sure Star Citizen is a hot mess in terms of development BUT i got a chance to play it earlier this year(friend of mine is a backer) and what exists right now is actually pretty cool with some cool ideas. I just wish the rest wasn't so...bad

Please be good, please be good, please be good ...
EDIT : Couple hours in. Not what I expected - no more base building sadly it seems - but a solid contender for the crown held by Freelancer all those years. Not bad at all. I need to dive in deeper to be sure but for now, enjoyable. Simple but effective. For now.

Was the previous game good enough for you? I played the first game but not without having the urge to puke with how dizzying the game is

Ah noooo. And I was just about to be excited for this. : (
All I wanted was a good spess game for a good spessman.
EDIT: looking through the reviews, this one isn't actually as bad as I feared. Most complaints are about how its "not like the previous ones" and "doesn't compare to star citizen" etc.
The positive reviews are actually praising the game to have some of it be much close to the game "Freelancer" with more streamlined gameplay and easier access.
I think I'll give this one a try after all. : D

How are they comparing this to star Citizen, a game that's not even 50% completed?
