Nice bait, it's inspired not actual copied. Not other indie will ever surpass what CS did many years ago

If you can find another game that has an area high above a starry night as the protag is climbing the side of an apparent massive fortress in such a similar manner and aesthetic as this, I'm ready to hear it. Otherwise this is a faded and washed-out carbon copy stage originally from CaveStory.

What kinda ruse cruise are you sending me on?
Yes, these are areas dealing with the night, height, possibly stars, and it having the old gaming feel. But the 2nd image and the image I posted are strangely similar outside of the latter not being as detailed.

Exibit B: The Wizard and The Slug Steam Trailer

-Starry night.

  • Some springy bois.
  • Springy bois that move as if the gravity is sideways, specifically going to the left.
  • "Dangling" structures.
  • Wind pushing clouds to the left.
  • Full moon above the clouds.
It might be its own thing, but come on. They did more than just get inspired by CaveStory at the very least. They downright gave an elementary student tracing paper and told em to copy that to the best of their abilities.
