First: This is not Chinese game, the guy who's making this game is Vietnamese. (He developer it alone and ask for engine help from the Chinese partner) Second: This guy working for this game with all his heart for his first game project so please don't joking about it. Third: It's a fun and cute game so try out for this classic Harvest Moon, don't make it over shadow by other big game.
So what if it Vietnamese or Chinese? What the different? Just because he's Vietnamese then people should be kinder? Isn't it some kind of racist of think, to mock Chinese Developers just because they're Chinese?
Sorry to be rude but I tired to answer the kind of question like this. So I will will just leave this picture here. Next time please learn what happening before speaking something too stupid.
I'm sorry. Well, there are so many racists in here that said like that, that I feel so triggered to. So what if it is a rip off? Stardew Valley is also a rip off, RImworld is also a rip off (from Dwarf Fortress). There were also so many legendary games that rip off from the previous games too. Like Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Unreal, etc. But they became the legend at their time. There are so many rip off games in this world. So what the problem. If they don't like it just don't download it. They don't buy it from the developer anyway. So why would they bad mouth the developer from some specific race with racism? Also, even if it a rip off, the dev still has his own vision on it.
Understandable. But I highly suggest that he tries to put a spin on the whole "Harvest Moon" formula. Rune Factory did it with some real time combat and boss fights, that stood out to me. Otherwise, what's so special about this over Stardew Valley or any other similar games? The game gotta pull people in and show that "it's worth playing for X mechanics" so people actually buy it. Even as a pirate, the game has to show it's worth playing over Stardew Valley or even emulating Harvest Moon games on PC.
Well all I have to said is, this is a farm game so why not? Maybe because I just a easy person who can try everything. We need try to know what good or not right? So try it out, if you like it then keep playing, if you not delete. This is a pirate game after all.
... Developer: Nhat Nguyen Vietnamese indeed ... well, at least I will try it ... Nope, can't find element which I seek ... I need at least fighting / rpg in it ... Stardew Valley have it ... I don't even play Harvest Moon anymore because no fighting / rpg in it ... I used to REALLY LOVE Harvest Moon (I even Play ALL OLD version, except the newer one after I play Rune Factory 3) unless this get implemented latter like Stardew Valley too ... (Note : Stardew Valley originally don't have any fighting element in it, but applied latter and get refined too for fighting element)
... Can't help it ... I need some violence in this farming type game after I taste Rune Factory ... I can't even enjoy Harvest Moon anymore because of it, seriously ... ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ ... it feels for me like ... Farming Simulation MUST HAVE RPG / Fighting element ...
"Farming Simulation MUST HAVE RPG / Fighting element". lol why? I'm the opposite. I don't understand why people want games that do EVERYTHING. Crafting, building, farming, fighting, survival, etc. It's becoming overwhelming and most games which try to be jack-of-all-trades(master of none) usually aren't the best. A good old Harvest Moon focusing on farming only is better. If I want farming, then it must be a FARMING game. Not Monster Hunter World. lol
... the main charm is to make sandbox by multiple abilities ... as Blacksmith, Fisherman, Chef, Farmer, etc ... rather buying each genre game, they will play it all with single character in one game which eventually become "Master of all" ... Ex which get REALLY FAMOUS : The Elder Scroll series ....
... and yet, there's plenty RPG have farming in it (including Persona 4 Golden ... also, the thing which become famous at past and applied in most game "FISHING" ... plenty of RPG have it too ... and all Harvest Moon adapt this one too ...
Actually it does, Rune Factory (one of the future title that came from harvest moon) got it, and Rune Factory is still a part of Harvest Moon. Thats why the first title is Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, which come out years before Stardew.
... I think RF3 already out from HF, so it goes into different production ... Also I never seen any HF from Japan anymore, they more focused at RF now for more profit ...
That's a good point. You can emulate harvest moon for free on the PC. Not to mention pirate Stardew Valley. So yeah I guess it doesn't matter in this context. But my comment was originally directed towards people who wants to buy a Harvest Moon-like game. And heck, I can't be bothered to look up if Harvest Moon did release a game on PC before Stardew Valley came out, not to mention the other "Harvest Moon-like" games. So I guess the question now becomes, is this game worth a person's time to play, or just play Stardew Valley instead.
... All of this cheap knockout (from East to West, South to North) ... Stardew Valley is somewhat decent tough ... But I Still waiting Rune Factory 5 and hoping for PC version too ... (Old team get disbanded but they gather back at 2020, Release Expected in Spring/Summer 2021) or ... I don't mind if they put the old one (1-4, Ocean / Tides of Destiny) at PC version ... Playing Ocean at RPCS3 Emu, it is working flawlessly now ... Frontier just eat dirt, I HATE THAT RUNE SOIL SYSTEM !
... Rune Factory : Ocean / Tides of Destiny ... at Nintendo Wii and PS3 ... Rune Factory : Frontier ... At Nintendo Wii ... Rune Factory 1-3 ... at Nintendo DS ... Rune Factory 4 ... at Nintendo 3DS ... Rune Factory 4 Special (released Spring 2020) ... at Nintendo Switch ... not exactly good beside ... (Extra Scenario, and better graphic. Only that) Rune Factory 5 (in project. Plan release at Summer 2021) at Nintendo Switch ... Wii, DS, 3DS, PS3 have emulator and they already developed nicely to the point you can play smoothly ... Nintendo Switch have emu too, but not as stable / playable like other console emu ... I already test their best 2 emulator and it works ... Note, some of it need their BIOS like PS3 ... and try to find UNDUB version, it's better ...
... Who knows ? even oh-so-famous Persona 4 Golden suddenly getting into PC ... (VITA user, PS3, PS4 user, and PC user get shocked because of it) sometimes wishes and dream DO come true ... Oh yeah, reincarnate Hitler into sexy loli body please ...
Oh damn, Persona. I kinda want Persona 5 though. Right now, Persona 4 is about 23 bucks on Steam for me and that's steep for a game that's years old. I suppose I'll wait depending on which comes out first, emulating Persona 5 or Atlus finally wants to earn more money and releases it on PC.
