Are you using a MyCareer bypass? If so, then that's the limitation of it. Upgrading normally requires VC, which requires the game to be online, which we cannot since it's obviously cracked and pirated. You should try to look for alternatives to improv your character, like FLS or 2k Tools.
That usually happens when there is a corruption in the files. Usually caused by incomplete downloads. First check your file parts if they're consistent with the size mentioned in the downloads. Parts 1 till the second last are usually 5GB in size so it is easy to tell. Last part you have to check manually. If all parts seem ok but still have error, you're gonna have to redownload it. If redownloading can't get rid of the problem, you should try to use torrents instead.
yes. also it is now easier to make start MyCareer offline. but one thing that annoys me personally, the shooting bar is different than last year's and so it is harder/more difficult to control.

True shit, I looked up the system requirements for this game and compared it to my old 2k19 and boy, oh boy it's the same minimum and reccomended specs. The only difference is the year and the amount of sweat in the trailer.

Yeah just use mouse to click the last option "Finish and Save". I wasnt able to put my name on it or anything else but I can play MC again. Then found it on Options/Quit to customize the bottle and change the team logo and color but I cant still put my name.
