Because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "CPY" folder (or something like that, i dont remember name), copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)

I accidentally deleted the sds_retails folder. The game does not open because I also deleted the game's setup file. My request from you is to upload the sds_retails file. It is already a very small file, so I don't want to download the game again.

In the original game, the reason for it is that those cars are heavy and steering is difficult, like in it was in real life (or so developers said... many years ago).
I had some problems too, bud did it. What I don´t like too much it is too scripted... like leadership hand - I don´t know, how correctly describe it...
Crack doesn't work. After game loads for first time, trying to start a new game causes game to exit/quit with no error. Tried Windows 7 fix (since I still use it) but no effect. Game now just quits a few seconds after run (mafiadefinitiveedition.exe or launcher.exe).
Works fine for me on Win7. Just had to use Version 1.7.1 instead latest one 1.7.3 of DXVK. WIth 1.7.3 game wont even start, without DXVK game crash after starting mission.

youre not >upgrading< to windows 10, windows 10 is the successor to windows 7, as you can see at both the continued support for 10 and the higher number (10>7). The minimum system requirements state "Windows 10 64-bit" as the required OS. Its nice if its works on older OS versions, but its not a given. If any, its a dirty hack that made the game run. Older DX8 games do not work with Win10, not even in compatible mode. Tons of DX9/DX11 games run a lot better on Win7 than they run on Win10. Win10 also makes games crash all the time. I was forced to update to Win10 due to my new hardware (Ryzen 7 3700X), and I spent days optimizing and removing crap from this OS, so Win10 is usable. I did so many registry tweaks on Win10 you wouldn't believe... But I agree, this game doesn't work on Win7 very well because it was coded to run on Win10.
If games crash on your rig all the time, somethings wrong with your rig. My as well as thousand others rigs work perfectly fine and the last time a game crashed it was due to a blackout which obviously took the whole system with it. You feel me? I only played part 1 the original for about 30 mins, couldn't stand the graphics years ago. After playing this one, man this game is a masterpiece, the graphics are amazing and the storyline well i really don't pay any attention to the story in most games, but this one has me hooked, including part 2. The game runs flawless at 1080p max settings , easy solid 60-70fps no stuttering or anything. Great game , plan on using the 10 dollar coupon and buy it from epic games first week of November.
True. Its like the call of duty campaigns where you get an excuse to shoot shit up in super linear missions for like 4 hours. But i still played most of them because i loved playing call of duty. I can definitely say, most campaigns except black ops 1 and 2 get really boring. Black ops 1 and 2 where the shit, in black ops 2 you could get diferent endings, something that isnt linear for once.

hey ive played the original almost when it released and im also from the czech republic and i can confirm they didnt fuck it up but they did change it and they also made the ending not make that much sense... i was on the live stream when the creator of original mafia Dan Vávra was talking about it for about 6h and it was interresting :)
I never completed the original one there was one mission i could never beat so i'm not too bothered about an ending changing. I will say though the game looks gorgeous
It was that mission where you have to drive a racing car across town to get it modified and then race it back to the garage all without crashing it and all within a certain time limit
