Im making this comment because I see people spreading lies/misinformation in this game and other Larian games you can play co op with other users online in divinity i know you had to have the same file version im not sure if that rule is the same here because me and my cousin had the same version
so to play online is simple 1 goto multiplayer and create a session and in the options make sure you click the options to enable direct connections (I also click allow lan but not sure if that's needed)
2 in the right side there will be a server id you give that to the person to join your game
3 Now the person joining goes to the multiplayer option and click the direct connections option and enters the server id to join the game
VERY IMPORTANT if you use a gamepad you cannot click the button to join a direct connection game so just move the mouse around and wait for it to switch the ui to mouse/keyboard version
this will start a new game every one will be able to create their own character
if you want to join a game in progress load a game pause go to session, then click session manager to get the session id for gamepad just pause and click LB then start to get the session id.

Did you apply the crack? In case you didn't, you need to do that first. Is the exe still available in the folder mentioned? In case it isn't, your antivirus might have deleted it.
Pirated versions dose not work multiplayer cause it needs a connection with the game server to register the id, due that your friend wont receive any response when entering the id.

Except this isn't a cracked game, the game has no DRM whatsoever so a crack was not needed thus you can play it online on the official servers without any issue

Of course not. You just need to copy the id to your friend, and then he pastes it on the direct code thingy. The id contains all the data of ip, port, router info, etc. that is required for a peer-to-peer conection to be established.

Oh my FPS is fine. Never drops below 40. Its the delay of action that's bothering. Where if I click attack, it will wait like 3-4 seconds before doing the action. I think its something CPU related.
Back in 1998 I bought Baldur's Gate 1 for my Acer Aspire PC with Win 98 and a MASSIVE (LoL) 3gig HD. I snuck the game in thinking my wife would rip me a new one only to find out she didn't give a shit if I played video games. Other guys watched sports all day, or went bar hopping with their friends, she'd rather have me home hold up in the computer room with the kids. She wound up playing the game as much as I did.
Man we put that old Aspire through it's paces. I've had several computers since then but that first one was serious workhorse considering the wife, all 3 of our kids and myself had the thing going 24/7.
BG 1 and 2, Planescape; Torment, Fallout 1 and 2 were ALWAYS being played it seemed like.
I have no comments about BG 3,,, just that the series itself brings back some really good memories and now that everyone but one daughter is no longer with us. I'll wait 6 months for patches and bug fixes and probably just buy it unless reviews by that point are tanked.

Except this game is way more polished and functional than Cyberpunk. AND unlike Cyberpunk, this was released in an actually playable state. With a game this massive, constant updates are inevitable.

IMO, if you are playing solo and are in Act 1 (and also are a slow gamer like me) feel free to carry on as the updates keep rolling in. Sure, there are some bugs here and there in Act 1 too but very rarely game-breaking ones.

There is no stand alone update to update game (Fitgirl, DODI, or any other version) to 4.1.1.3905231 (aka "Patch #4"), you have to download WHOLE game again, YES, WHOLE GAME AGAIN in version 4.1.1.3905231 and THEN apply v4.1.1.3911062 patch. I tried last night to update 4.1.1.37... and all I got is no sound and black world in DX12, and no sound and invisible characters in DX11. I tried to remove Patch**.PAKs in DATA folder but that crashed/freezed game.
Of course, bro. Update on this site, will definitely work for releases on this site. We don't have time to create "update only" for all the other sites. Suppose for just this game we have to host 10 instances of different websites, then it will be 100GB x 10 = 1TB.
Honest advice, if you have downloaded the game from a certain website, always stick to that website, because only they can know the exact version they used. It would be irresponsible for them to leave it alone and let their users randomly search and use whatever they find on the internet. It will break your game sooner or later.

Amen, Downloading one of these garbage shovelware indies or AAA's with MTX and live service multiplayer garbage for free is one thing. This game AND developer are quality.
As a warning, this patch introduces some VERY nasty bugs for chapter 2, mainly the fact that you wont be able to save after trading with ANY NPC and Dammon being killed instantly by spoiler character at Last Light Inn EDIT: While I haven't found a solution for the failed save other than not interacting with any merchant I think I did find one for Dammon. Load a save before he gets killed and make sure neither he nor the spoiler character spawn, then go to your camp. Once you come out of camp the spoiler character should no longer be aggressive and Dammon should survive
nvm changing the language was pretty easy. Go to "\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Localization" and put the language.lsx file and the FOLDER (for example the "German" folder), into the Localization folder. As soon as the developers updated patch #6, I started uploading it. And just as I was about to edit this article, they released Hotfix #18. Then I had to delete everything I uploaded (150GB) :), to re-upload Hotfix #18. And again, they released Hotfix #19 just 2 days later...
I know that, no matter how fast I do everything, there will be another complaint, saying "why not just re-upload the whole game, instead of stupid Update Only".
That's why I wait for the developers to complete their minor updates before uploading one

Is Hotfix 18 also integrated into the base game the same way Patch 6 was, requiring you to upload another whole game, rather than just the fix? The way I thought it works is that when there's a big Patch it's sometimes integrated into the main game, requiring a the whole game to be uploaded again, but I didn't think the same was true for Hotfixes.

This new update is crashing the game every time I start it and it completes 100% of the loading screen, the game closes by itself, this only started to happen after I downloaded the new update from the website, before the update, everything was normal
this package included multilanguage. but can't change any language except english. edit the ini file, still pop out english. Even replace English file with another language file, still pop out english. am i something wrong? and this package not included korean.pak

HEADS UP. Apparently there was an unannounced, unofficial patch this morning. This update does NOT include that patch. The Admin has indicated he will not be uploading a new version yet. This may be the reason for some of your current issues.

Apparently the new update has broken these items. If you're like me and have stored all your important potions in that purple box ... well, you're twice as lucky. They are gone forever it seems 😅
At first I thought there was something wrong with my save. Did a bit of googling and yeah, it seems to be happening to many people.
Apparently those clothes and the purple "Peculiar Clothing Chest" were supposed to be exclusive Twitch drops (hence the color purple) and were mistakenly bundled inside the Deluxe edition. It is for people who have linked their BG3 account to their Twitch and have watched +2 hours of official BGS3 content.
Larian, upon realizing this, suddenly decided to remove them from the game for others. The removal of those clothes is nothing game-breaking. But if someone has made the mistake of putting some quest-related items inside that chest, this might have very well broken their game, since the box and everything in it has vanished out of existence as well.
They could've done a smoother transition, like replacing the clothes with normal clothes so people don't reload the game into a naked cutscene 😅 Or switching the chest and its content to a normal wooden box, but they decided to just remove them completely.
But to be fair, they have more pressing bugs and fixes to take care of, given the scope of their game.
you might have to delete the older saves cause that causes compatibility issues. go to your c:/ drive or google where to find baldurs gate 3 save files. delete the older saves you made and try to launch again. aditionally i deleted the redist folder that was included when downloading the game. that folder can also cause issues
What's .exe you started? Remember start game fron .exe inside "bin" folder (Experience for you, true for most games: If you don't see the .exe file in the root directory of the game, then look for the "bin" folder if it exists :D )
I am having an issue where the game crashes any time I try and start a new game or load a file. I have tried removing my mods and relaunching but it still does the same thing. Any fix to this yet?

If your using 7Zip instead of WinRAR for extracting large 25 part downloads, what are you doing to yourself (especially for pirating games)? 7Zip doesnt really tell you what part (if any) is corrupted etc whilst WinRAR will tell you exactly what part is. Sure winrar is a little dated. but without it, id be re downloading 25 parts of this shit again. instead of just part 18 again. PSST you can get an older cracked copy of winrar here on IGG (yea, its one of two pieces of software the site has) the second is daemon tools. You can get WinRAR for free tho thru its official channels. 7 Zip just doesnt do what winrar does for things like what you do here. 7zip cant go to the last part of the downloaded files, to where you can click and winrar will extract all parts that correspond with it.
After downloading hotfix 17# my game doesn't work properly. Larian and Nvidia logo appear but there is no sound and after loading reaches 100% game crashes. Any ideas how to fix that without losing progress?
Having a problem where hotfix 9 opens my game in a tiny, transparent window and once I maximize it and click anything to start the game it crashes. I thought it was mods or reshade but it seems to happen once I update to hotfix 9 and was hoping someone here dealt with the same problem and got around that? I think it's a gpu thing, though since the rog ally with a newer gpu than my desktop opens it fine.
Install Update 4.1.1.3648072 before installing patch 1. This hotfix includes the previous 1-2-3 and 4. After installing this, open the game and save it again. Then install "Patch 1 (v4.1.1.3669438)". In this way, you can continue from the previous recording. I tried many methods, in this method I was able to continue from the last record. My 89 hours of play was not wasted. :)

Good news they responded to a guy 13 hours ago they will update soon and to check tomorrow, so I think I was maybe correct they were waiting for the trade bug+crash to be fixed. Though the requester said update (patch 6) not hotfix, it will of course include it by default I imagine.

Yeah at least 2 hotfixes came out very shortly after patch 6 since patch 6 broke a lot of things, I wouldn't be surprised if they are taking a "wait and see" approach. Plus they only upload the stuff that is released by RUNE and to my knowledge the only Patch 6 and Hotfix 18 and 19 releases are P2P ones

EDIT:So as it turns out it wasn't my mods causing the issue, it was the patch itself. I think you copied/pasted the files of this version (v4.1.1.3905231) to where you downloaded the game before? :D. You may not know, because the developer changed their usual file structure, dozens of files were changed in this update, as well as the files you mentioned were removed from this version, so they will cause conflicts.
Yes I did. But you see this is also happening to people who have the game legit on steam and removing those files did fix the bug. I actually got the solution from the steam discussions page

My understanding is, the disappearance of the Deluxe item is actually a bug. Apparently when they removed the peculiar clothing chest" and the extra camping items bag, it broke other Deluxe items.
They may fix this in a future update. For now, I haven't read of anyone managing to bring them back.

There is a "karmic dice" setting (which might be on by default) which fudges dice rolls based on how lucky/unlucky you've been. I think it makes the RNG less like rolling actual dice and more like drawing tiles from a bag or cards from a deck (i.e. numbers can be "depleted" if they are rolled/drawn too often). Supposedly it makes long lucky/unlucky streaks less likely - trading true randomness for a sort of "forcibly balanced luck".
thats bcs the percent chances arent real and they only are right sometimes, the game doesnt want you to go on an absolute winning spree with these percentages so they rig them sometimes
Yeah, same thing happened to me. Many important items lost because I put them inside the "Peculiar Clothing Chest". I've explained it in a post below. You'll find it if you scroll. They had basically put that box in the deluxe bundle by mistake (was meant to be a Twitch drop). So they removed it like a man ... alongside everything people had put in them.
So, it wasn't a bug, but rather a feature! And therefor it won't have a fix probably.
MY items were actually in supply pack where food automatically goes in. And I even downgraded game to previous version, also reinstalled it with older patch but bag was lost the same...
Oh, yes. You are correct. I lost a great deal of items in that bag as well. I think that part actually is a bug since it was part of the Deluxe Edition, to my knowledge.
I read below that the update apparently edits some metadata. So no amount of rolling back or reinstallation will fix that. Apparently all save files are affected.
Actually to correct myself, it was not update that caused this but known bug. Avoid leaving key items in any kind of bags. Bug is noted on steam forum...

The torrent and game in question is not the rune version. It was a different one that even had a password for the installer and asked for donations for 1337. The uploader was VitaminX and the torrent in question was deleted - but not the uploader.

You can check the validity by checking the HASH CRC32 code of the iso file (you can use 7zip or any software that supports CRC32 checking), then match that hash with the scene's database pages, eg: https://www.srrdb.com/releases/details/Baldurs.Gate.3-RUNE
If the hash matches, you are safe, and vice versa.
PS: tell the tamed sheep on that sub reddit that, instead of stupidly believing in fake new,... check it out for yourself with facts. Umm... i guess those sheep will ignore this, since they actually have no brains, they prefer drama than logic.

I´m a long time reddit lurker and I use their pirate subreddits daily. And the response from them, everytime someone even name IGG is the same. Loads of accusations but no proof. They post links that show nothing of what they claim. Did IGG used to tamper with the games they provide? Yes and no. Old uploads, specially indie games, used to had the name and website address plastered (I remember Foxy games as an example). Is that bad? Well, its relative. Is not malicious but more as an add. I understand they are giving the games for free and put some work so they deserve to promote the site, but is not a big deal. Did the games have virus? Never encounter one in years of use. This site used to be more fishy, yes. I use it daily and, in the past, had lots of redirections from the ads. Which prompt me to install a javascript blocker and started using 1337x/Piratebay uploads from said user. This problem doesn't exist anymore as they got rid of certain ads. But as I download constantly from here, I never had a virus (and I check everything in Virustotal/ESET Smart Security). And I have witnesed IGG buying games I requested (according to reddit he steals everything). So what this proves to me, is that Reddit is an echo chamber. Still useful, not as a truth meter, but to fish some obscure game names that get thrown here and there and to have an idea of what games are out there. But yes, hypocrisy is their brand and I wouldn't trust a russian site, not after the current government overreach. In one hand, is better that way, because if this site where more popular, would attract unwanted attention(look what happened to Piratebay) and it remindsme not to trust everything I see on reddit. So Thank you IGG for the constant tsunami of games and updates you provide and the transparency of the website because I never had a comment deleted and always respond to the messages. Rest assure that many people see what reddit mods are doing and we recognize your value. Thank you :)

= About the watermarks: first of all, you may not know, IGG has existed for over a decade, even before the creation of the domain igg-games.com. We were "Install Guild Games" (the name didn't make any sense, lol), actually at the time, we were just a small group, with no intention of uploading anything on the internet. We simply love playing AAA games, and want to connect with people on the internet, mainly through youtube and facebook. The only purpose true to the name IGG at that time was to play the game with everyone, as friends, and help someone if they don't know how to install the game, through teamview, chat, bla bla, ... Later as the community grew, there were hundreds of volunteers, and tens of thousands of people asking us to share the links so they could easily download the games, instead of having to go google and search random download links, that's the birth of igg-games.com.
We were really poor, and with everyone's donations, we started buying some games (at that time, there weren't any websites to buy games, most of games were from the scene, that's a significant difference). And other sites started to leak these games from our site. At the same time, was the birth of a number of other websites, they also started operating like us, they also bought their own games. I don't hesitate to say, we also leak games from them, lol. There's nothing to hide, we're not hypocrites. in general, IGG site and other sites take each other's games :D. Some websites started to implement watermark, we also just learned this way. No one complained. NOTE: this time is around 2012-2013. At that time, the admin of IGG (not me) was not even a coder, he simply used microsoft studio, coded a few simple lines that he learned on the internet, then used the other software to add them to the .exe file, it's quite simple. This we also learned from revolt, online-fix.me, some uploaders in rin.... they also didn't complain at all, this is around 2014. And surprise, also in mid-2018, people on the subreddit were spreading rumors saying "hey, IGG STARTED adding DRMs to the game, stay away from them, who knows what they will add in the future"... WTF, we've been doing it since 2014. And what's more surprising, until now, online-fix.me still uses that DRM, and no one complains about it, even though there are dozens of users out there who still download from that site, lol. Note, I have no problem with online-fix.me, I always direct people to go there to download the "crack fixed", I just want examples.
= About viruses: look back at the timelines I listed above, then check them out in the history of that subreddit. In 2018, the IGG website really reached its peak, being in the top 1000 largest websites in the world (based on alexa rank), even bigger than 1337x now. But posts complaining about "virus found on IGG" started appearing in mid-2018. Are you surprised? while before that, from 2010 until 2018, there was never a single complaint. NOTE: not just IGG site, but a bunch of other big sites at that time, like skidrow* (not skidrowreloaded now), oceanofgames,.... all suffer from this. I'm sure there have been thousands of "evidence of virus uploaded by IGG" posted there since then, lol. And coincidentally, they started listing "trusted sites", and directing people to use them. Most of them are brand new sites, only a few hundred games uploaded, haha. Somehow they are considered trustworthy, look like someone created a new website, uploaded some games, and said "hey, my site only has 3 games, they sure there's no virus, check it out, and put me on the trusted list", lol. While other older sites, there are tens of thousands of games. There was only one time, they were right, I think they were just as excited as they found the gold mine, that was they found a game from IGG that actually contained a virus, which I have to admit, it was. That game was uploaded decades ago, when we just started the site, and didn't have much experience. That was the only time. Most of the other things they say, are ads, and they deliberately manipulate public opinion, to make people think it's a virus.
= About the things they say are "javascript, hijackers,...": Those are obviously ads, and what's interesting is that all pirated sites use some of the same ad sources. A few years ago, moderators there ran a campaign to spread false rumors about major websites at the time, by saying that these websites were spreading viruses (inserting viruses, hacking into browsers, track users,...???), then advise people to use their "trusted" sites, which still don't use ads :). But now, after more than a year, all major websites are included in the "untrusted list". They started placing ads on their websites, lol. You do not believe? try turning off adblock, go to sites like dodi, ovagames, steamrip,... and I'm sure you'll have to struggle with ads before reaching the real link, even more than mine :D. Are you surprise? this is what they said it was a virus, and they are using it :)). Now, follow my instructions, create a thread in that subreddit, and complain about their sites, your thread will be deleted immediately, haha.
= Another interesting thing, about "cookies": I don't know what to call it, "hack cookies", "add viruses to cookies",... because there is an article by a moderator (the moderator himself wrote this article, you can find it there). They said I inserted a virus into my browser's cookie @_@....????? I don't know if they're really being stupid or if they're pretending to be stupid. I remember when I was little, my parents didn't have money to let me go see David Copperfield perform, they said "David Copperfield is a wizard, don't go there if you don't want to die or lose consciousness" =)). Do you believe that? That bastard moderator is just like my parents from many years ago, they said things that COULDN'T HAPPEN. I'm not the creator of the internet, lol. I'm also not one of the core devs of chrome/firefox/edge/... Cookies are simply text strings, and that's how it worked in the early days of the internet, if I could insert a virus to cookies, then I think I wouldn't be here now, I have become rich, and the internet would be broken immediately. Ummm... moderator of a large pirate community, but doesn't know how the most basic things work? I don't think he's stupid, he's smart, he knows most of you don't know these basic things (of course, I'm not saying you're stupid, because you're not programmers), so he made an excuse for everyone to become scared.

You can see this for yourself there, hope they don't erase the tracks.
= They say "hey, IGG uses ads, the ads are shady, they're really virus". In case you don't know, all pirate sites currently use the same ad source, so they are exactly the same. Many of their sites also use ads, but if someone complains they'll say "fuck you, why don't you use adblock", or "you're ungrateful, support us by ads"...or some worse, they use intermediaries to place ads, and say these sites have nothing to do with them.
*** Another fact, they have dozens of pirate games websites, some of their websites are also listed as untrusted by themselves, for some reason that they cannot deny. But soon they will buff a few other sites and direct people to use the new ones.

I don't know how long I ben downloading games from IGG but the oldest I have track from its 2016 and other than the odd game not working (bad crack or maybe weird incompatibility with my pc) I never had a virus but I know of the miner case and also that one flight sim that the developer itself left some nasty stuff coded inside. Happens but it's not the norm. What I find ironic is that people prefer o download from a site which they can't even read the language that from here. And everyone knows the risk and hacker culture that comes from certain country( theres people defending them right now while dissing this site, unbelievable). The scary part is that, the only person cracking denuvo atm is batshit insane. Anyway, the anti IGG campaign from reddit gained attention when the GOD games was doxxed. While it is shity behavior to doxx a pirate, it was a fair response to them doxxing IGG first. But that part conveniently is left out when any discussion or mention comes out. In the end, super unfair but what do you spect from a hypocrite site that downvote anything they don't like (against their own site rules that ask to downvote only when its not useful to the discussion). Just remember that because a big group of people says something online, doesn't mean that they are the mayority (or EPIC Games would go broke, Call of Duty wouldn't sell and Ubisoft would be the worst games ever according to said website). So everytime you start the game it creates 2 new text documents evertime in the bin folder where the 2 exe are located, overtime it builds up, is this normal, game itself plays fine so far.

edit: So, a hour later i decided to just delete the Larian Studio folder in appdata and it worked

You are just trashtalking the devs. That's not true. I am in personal touch with one Larian community moderator, and I can see the progress every month. Becuase when YOU don't want to see the progress, it does not mean THEY are not doing nothing.
Do you keep your save files after updating? I've been playing v4.1.1.4811634 for over 40 hours, and would like to continue. Do the updates change much for the better?
No worries, most people here are happy to help out. In general, if you update, there is mostly no reason for concern about your save files when updating. The save files are stored away in your Larian Studios Local Appdata folder and not stored where your game.exe is, so it's save to update. Even if you are concerned, you can always back them up, but generally updates don't touch on the save files. And most updates do fix things or add animations. It is also easier to keep up to date if you play with mods that get updated to the newer version sooner than later.
Just in case you want to backup your save files you can type %appdata% in your windows search, go back one folder because it's spits you out into the Roaming folder, go to Local, Larian Studios, Baldur's Gate 3, PlayerProfiles, Public and there you have a Savegames folder with a Story folder inside where all your manual, auto and quicksaves are in.

A quick addition to my comment, since I can't edit them. You said you are on v4.1.1.4811634, which is Hotfix #19. You would have to download all the parts of the game again, unfortunately, if you want to update, since you can't update from Hotfix #19 to Hotfix #22, which is the first standalone update they provide here. Otherwise you will get errors, just like I said in my comment from the post below.
Even though it's annoying, there wouldn't be another way around to be able to update. Your save files will still be in the appdata folder I mentioned above, even if you delete your Baldur's Gate 3 game folder.
Just redownload the parts, unpack them again and then download the updates one by one and do them in order aswell, then there shouldn't be any issues updating to the newer versions.
You need all of them and you should make sure you update them in the same order too. That is pretty important to mention. You'll otherwise get errors when updating if you go from Hotfix #22 to #25 immediately. Though, I think it's pretty self explanatory but you never know if people understand or know this. So, just making sure to mention it.
seems your cries were heard after all be aware, IGG isnt responsible for online play features to work. after all, this is a cracked game and you know what you signed up for being a pirate.

If you check the title it says ''Hotfix #24'' so I think the hotfix #19 link is outdated. If you check the version for hotfix 24 it's v4.1.1.5009956 instead of 4.1.1.4811634
Hello, I'm kinda new here and I might need some help on installing the game. I've downloaded all the 24 parts from above, and extracted the rar, but the extracted amount is only 46.3Gb. There's the launcher, but when I click play nothing happened. Did I do something wrong during extraction or do I need to download all the hotfixes first before I can play the game? small correction on my last message, the game unpacked is actually 142GB with both Hotfix #20 & #21 installed. I also checked, since I don't see what is in your folder there, but most of the bigger files of BG3 are in the Data folder, so it to me would seem that quite a bunch are not there at all since the whole Data folder is 141GB.
I'm pretty sure something went wrong there, because the game usually comes completely packaged and takes around 110-120GB if I remember correctly. So there is quite a bunch missing, it seems. The hotfixes wouldn't fix anything and you don't need them if you don't want them. The files the hotfixes bring would just overwrite the launcher and other things where the .exe and launcher resides in.
I'm not completely sure why yours is so small or what could've happened but it seems like it skipped a bunch of stuff it normally would've unpacked.
I hate to say it, but it seems like you would need to redownload the rar files and try again, if you don't have them still.
Thanks for the replay guys, I checked the rar and apparently it skipped some files during extraction for some reason. The "bin" folder was completely empty and some files from the launcher folder was missing.
I just deleted the entire thing and thankfully I still have the rar ready and re-extract it and it works :D
small addition/edit to my response earlier, the file I mentioned where you can change your language is in the "bin" folder and the file is the steam_emu.ini where you can change it. Language is english there by default, you can write any language in that is also in the "Localization" folder that is inside the "Data" folder.
you should be able to change the language in one of the game files. I'm not sure if it was a .ini file where it was in, but it should be in the same folder where the BG3.exe is. Open one with Notepad and STRG+F to search for language, there should be one popping up with ENG and you can change it there to the one you want to use, just make sure you use the same shortened word style for the language you want to use. If you are not sure, there is a folder with all the languages where they use the shortened terms aswell. I'm not sure anymore if you need to use the same low capitals as the folders do, though.
am i the only one who find my new save on new run named "Not found", but still can be loaded nicely? also all my items from previous save (thank fully its finished run) all gone, also i find bug "Not found" when i passed roll "the descent" when talking to zevlor as tiefling
same as when i load my romanced gale patch 5 hotfix 17 save there is no new kisses, but waking up epilogue scene played nicely, the Gale last line is "Not Found", save game usually its called charname_somenumbers_lastplaces, now shows Not found_lastplaces both past save or new save with new run. im in middle of applying tags to my custom race, but noticed "the descent" answer dialogue broken, when i erased all the tags from the mod, and apply tiefling diguise, not found is still there. so i suspect this is patch problem, not any of my mods. im cant continue since im worried ill encounter bunch of Not found dialogues, the version is match with hotfix 20 version.
same when i did it with gale there, please anyone who encounter inventory things gone problem start new game and play it until emerald grave, tried this tiefling disguise as well?
uh i find the culprit, patch 6 have alot of extra dialogues, so you should update mods that messing with those, delete those from your mod file completely/update it.
for item gone issue i dont know if resolved or not, im in new run.
Was at hot fix 17. Downloaded hot fix 19, unzipped and pasted in. Downloaded hot fix 20, unzipped and pasted in. (where's hotfix 18?) Now the game doesn't go beyond loading screen. When it hits 100%, game crashes to deskstop.
DUH! Why would you skip a HotFix? Hotfixes and Patches need to be used in order. You needed to instal HotFix 18 before installing Hotfix 19. Now you screwed up your game and have to re-install from scratch.
Did you skip the entirety of Patch #6 by chance?? It came after Hotfix 17 I believe, and then 18+19 were bundled into a Patch #6 version of the whole game here. You are most likely best of redownloading the whole thing, then Hotfix 20 and installing that, and then after it's installed, download and install Hotfix 21

If it's the early access version then you are most certainly better off uninstalling everything BG3 related from your PC and redownloading the proper Patch 6, Hotfix #19 version here, along with Hotfix #20 right below at the bottom. Yeah it's a big download to swallow again but it would have been necessary either way, if you don't uninstall EA version you will just run into more issues

Sorry to hear that mate, I feel your pain. Unfortunately over the course of all the patches we had to download the whole game a couple times actually because patches get merged into the main game, requiring a full donwload anyway. Maybe you can let it run over time as torrent? Or maybe at this point it's best to wait for the "Expanded" edition or so, which I bet will surely come out in a few months

There is currently no such thing as an Expanded edition or a Game of the Year edition, I just assumed that there would be one eventually for sure, though there is no actual confirmation of that happening. I'm just saying it COULD happen, as in, there will probably be some form of big update that will be repackaged and sold as some sort of GOTY edition or expansion, and if downloading it again would be a big problem then it might just make sense to wait for that. In the past, Larian Studios has made Definitive editions for their games, so maybe something like that will come out at some point.
There is something very wrong with this file, i downloaded and unzip it, start normal but the whole game is stuttering and extremely lag ( which is not happen at the last version of the game) please look up to it

Im making this comment because I see people spreading lies/misinformation in this game and other Larian games you can play co op with other users online in divinity i know you had to have the same file version im not sure if that rule is the same here because me and my cousin had the same version
so to play online is simple 1 goto multiplayer and create a session and in the options make sure you click the options to enable direct connections (I also click allow lan but not sure if that's needed)
2 in the right side there will be a server id you give that to the person to join your game
3 Now the person joining goes to the multiplayer option and click the direct connections option and enters the server id to join the game
VERY IMPORTANT if you use a gamepad you cannot click the button to join a direct connection game so just move the mouse around and wait for it to switch the ui to mouse/keyboard version
this will start a new game every one will be able to create their own character
if you want to join a game in progress load a game pause go to session, then click session manager to get the session id for gamepad just pause and click LB then start to get the session id.

I think I have a problem with the Hotfix #19, where my inventory is gone, like all of them. I can't access my backpack or traveler chest. The weight is still there but there's no icon. I tried delete and reinstall the game, even updating the mod, but nothing work. Anyone know how to fix this?
Some of the parts whenever its almost fully downloaded, theres a warning that goes "This file is dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it.". I usually remove it and try again the next day which works but is it really dangerous or is it safe to ignore it?
Near any file that has a crack/keygen google will flag/windows too. So, if you wish to "not" see this, add the downloads folder to an exclusion folder in your antivirus software and turn off "safe warnings" i cant recall what it is on google since i use brave now and IDM for download managing etc (download managers are WAY faster than chromes built in downloader btw.

I'd also very much appreciate a Hotfix only Update to Hotfix #19. I still have #17 and kinda struggling with disk space at the moment. Re-downloading 24 parts takes up space I don't have. Does anyone know how much space BG3 #Hotfix19 takes up after installing? Otherwise I delete my Hotfix#17 for this, also depending on how long it might take for an Update-only download to be uploaded.

Looks like it wasn't, thank god. My Savesgames are still all there, so it looks good. Haven't had time to check into the game to see if they work, but read in here that it should still be compatible.
Well dang it... In that case I'll have to download it all over again. Glad I saved all my quicksave/autosave folders but I uninstalled the GOG version and it deleted the save game folder :D
Don't need to uninstall the old version, just copy the new version to the same place as the old version and when asked if you want to replace files just say yes

Do you use Script Extender? If so - you have to wait until this gets updated as well. the mod author said the patch reworked the .exe and they have no time table for update or if it ever will be supported. I think someone from Larian adressed this as well and that they are looking into this and their modding future.
Script Extender has already been updated for patch 6 and hotfix 19 actually, a couple of days ago. Other mods on the other hand such as Compatibility Framework and Community Library for example, those were even hidden on Nexus over issues they just can't fix. According to the UI Improved Dev, it's extremely difficult to get in touch with Larian, something modders need to do to fix their mods
Could be. Make sure your mods are ALL up to date, including the script extender. It seems patch 6 has issues beyond the game itself, it's been messing with some mods too, to the point that mod authors have hidden their mods and won't update/fix them until Larian opens up a line of dialogue which apparently has been extremely difficult

Awesome, enjoy the game till the patch drops, it's gonna be a big one with lots of fixes and improvements. Be prepared to have to download the entire game all over again though, that's the usual around here with huge patches
My game tends to crash every now and then while playing splitscreen multiplayer. Is that a problem with this version of the game or does the original have the same problem?
the UI is changeable, along with subtitles but i am almost positive the voice acting is English only. I'm just unsure how to swap it on the cracked version as the paid version has the options built into the "steam properties" section of the game. you could check the .INI (steam.ini) file located inside the installation directory. Id check for you, but i dont have the cracked version any longer as i purchased the game upon completing it the first time.... EDIT: Wrong image

Running the bg3.exe gives the failed to "initialize Vulkan Instance" error and running bg3_dx11.exe gives the "failed to load the main menu from the current game mod".
I can start a new game but It won't let me load a save from a previously installed version of Baldurs Gate 3 (that was from DODI if that means anything)

you need to clarify, did you install the base game (v4.1.1.3905231 (Patch #4)) and it didn't work... or did it work before for you, and after you installed the update ( Hotfix 11 | v4.1.1.3956130) and it doesn't work?
In order for us to help you, you should provide more detailed information about the installation process, please answer my question above. Also here are the instructions:
Download the first 20 parts, you will have (v4.1.1.3905231 (Patch #4)), just extract (remember to turn off AV before extracting, maybe AV will remove the cracked file) and play. Start game from "bg3_dx11.exe" or "bg3.exe" in "/bin" folder. See if the game works at this step before going to the next step.
Download update Hotfix 11 | v4.1.1.3956130, then follow the instructions inside the file "__HOW TO USE UPDATE.txt".

you're done, nothing is missing, just go into the game, look in-game, if you see v4.1.1.3905231, it's correct. Because if the game is missing files, you won't even be able to launch it :D

Hi, if using the MegaUp link, do I mount the iso and install from each part's zip file in order? I'm having a hard time extracting all of the isos on my disk due to filesize.
its just one iso, you go to part 1 and click extract that should extract all the parts, and then you get an iso, once the iso is extracted you can delete all the .rars and then rigth click in the iso and open with windows explorer and go full setup

hey just wondering if i add the newest hotfix into my game will my previous saves be fine or is there a chance it could corrupt them? people had simillar issues with the game on steam wondering if this is an issue anyone has ran into?
Which version are you using? If you are using versions since Patch #1, and YOU DOWNLOADED FROM THIS WEBSITE, then with the latest update, your save will definitely still work.
Because I haven't seen any reports of it since Patch #1. But if you are using older versions, then maybe it doesn't work, maybe it's a bug, and the developer has fixed it.

Yep, you need all 22 parts, it's a 106 GB download or so, may want to download it with a download manager, after which you may also want to download the update, it'll spew even more messages about changed files, just ignore it, it works fine, even mods work if you actually enable them.. Unlike what I did. I'm an idiot.

This stopped being an issue after I got the Hotfix 1 for Patch 1, which is thankfully now live here on the website. I also deleted all mods and anything related to mods.
I got the same issue on my main save. However, my main save had some kind of issue where after a certain save it reset the hours played and everything after was glitchy. I reloaded an old save, the last one where the hours weren't glitchy, and it's been working.
we made it all the simplest, we just took the modified files of the new version, and uploaded it, didn't modify anything. As you can see, you also don't have to install anything, you just copy/paste them. If you have problems like save, .... it comes from the game itself, that's why developers update to patch bugs continuously.
Turns out I can't play with my friend. I keep getting the GustavDev mod error despite us both not using mods. Earlier today there was a smaller 99MB update for BG3 on steam, even though it doesn't change the version number maybe that's the cause of why we can't play together. Did anyone fix this? are you using RUNE crack files in previous version? (if you're having problem with save, the fix is quite simple, you just need to copy the file "\bin\steam_emu.ini" in the previous version, and paste it over this version. But weird, if you used RUNE's crack before, it should work fine)

DON'T UPDATE! The "new" RUNE version doesn't allow you to change your language. It also takes you the opportunity to play multiplayer whit friends via direct connection.
It's allow, bro. You open "\Data\Localization\language.lsx" file with notepad or something. Then change English, to your language, ex "French". Then save file and start game ;)

Now ur on a page with more Russian moon runes but on the left side is a box u can click to check mark the options, ignore the 3 boxes, there will be a GIANT set of words under those 3 lines of boxes ( the ones u can check with moon runes scribbled after them) The giants lettering actually is Russian moon rune for "Language" click the elongated rectangle under it and now you'll see all the language options and the languages swap as u scroll. Scroll until the moon runes turn into civilized human words that emphasize freedom, Guns, and the god given right to hate communism.

I'm trying to play someone with a paid version online it didn't work so i tried lan with hamachi and it didn't work. The error was the mod "GustavDev" which I searched online and it says something about the game version, then we looked at the version (in the main menu) and we had the same one, does anyone know what it can be? I read that it works with the paid version.
I have been playing with a friend that is using the steam paid version, and works without problems. GustavDev is the name of the normal campaign name. If you get an versioning error, then either the 2 of you don't have the same version, one of you installed mods, or you messed up on installing the updates.
The game is working very slow, the actions are deleyed, just opening a chest takes couple of seconds, some animations are not loading, getting into a convestation takes forever. The fps is fine and no stutters too, anyone having this issues? What might be causing it?
You simply need to re apply the DLC unlocker. Go to your game's bin folder and see if the .ini file is there. If it is, open it with notepad and see if in the DLC section you have the following under ID=Name: 2378500=Digital Deluxe Edition DLC 2378510=Collector's Edition DLC If it doesn't just copy past to the .ini file and the DLC should unlock
Alright, so this doesn't appear to be the GOG version (thank god), due to my (GOG) version requiring 'Steam_api' after trying to launch it with the update. Thankfully, I had anticipated this and backed up pertinent files.
I can confirm that mods do work with this version, though I've only tested with ONE mod. You might get an error saying that the game couldn't create a story or something but it shouldn't impact anything

yeah, steam has a savegame folder on your computer (and I THINK gog as well) where you can put your old files. The save files are now located at %localappdata%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story
Game does not load any more if I use mods at all and deleting the C drive larain then re-adding or editing mods causes the issue of fail to load level make sure there no local mods yadda yadda .... this was non issue before update and or bg manager 9.1 update thinking 1 those broke it Anyone know of fix or issue been trying for hours too no luck.

Currently reinstalling game after like 4 hours of trying everything else I could think of.
For your situation I suggest trying too launch game without launcher and see what happens (bg3.exe/bg11.exe or something like that) If that fails delete the folder in C/app/.....larian/bg3 (copy your saves out if want too keep them and mods)
TBH I don't get the unreasonably high rating of this game at steam (I have the legit version btw). The graphics are fine, the voice acting is very good. But the game is still very buggy, has balance issues and some ridiculous difficulty spikes. Not to mention the fact that it is actually just a "Divinity: Original Sin" sequel in the Baldur's Gate universe, rather than being an actual Baldur's Gate game.
Other way around. Divinity was D&D inspired game and Baldur's Gate 3 is an actual Baldur's Gate game. Besides, this style of gameplay worked so well in Divinity, why would they change it?
@Bowie: Err... "D&D" is the rule set that both DOS (Divinity: Original Sin) and the BG (Baldur's Gate) games adhere to, along with others like the Diablo series and the Neverwinter Night games. You may wanna use Google to understand what are RPG rule sets and what are specifically the "Dungeon & Dragon" based rules and which games use which version. Okay?
Secondly, the original BG games didn't follow a turn-based battle system like the DOS games. The combat style in BG1 and BG2 was real-time combat, where you could pause at anytime to issue specific commands to your individual units. Otherwise all the units would follow their own battle script. Also, in the BG games you had the choice of creating and customizing the whole team, instead of just the MC.
So, yes, BG3 is just a DOS game in the BG world, and not an actual BG game. I know, because I, unlike you, have actually played the old BG games. Okay?

follow Bowie's method, but there is an alternative method, if you are afraid to download the entire "game" you can simply download the "update only" above, which also contains the crack files (in the RUNE folder), copy all files in there and overwrite them where you installed the game
Most likely your antivirus program has quarantined the file. If you use windows defender you can go into the protection history and restore the actual update setup.
yes, but not all mods - many need updates. Some already work with the mod fixer. you will need to read the description of the mods to see if they are already updated for full release or not.

go to the folder which is Baldurs.Gate.3.Update.v4.1.1.3624901-RUNE > Update > Setup, and then choose the game's folder which should be Baldur's gate III and thats it, press ok and let it install

what software do you use, it's weird @_@... you can use 7z or winrar, they are both free, and it's better. Also if there is an error, you can pause and continue, just re-download part19.
It's just Bandizip, which is actually an overall better extraction program than either of those named; 7z and Winrar just are legacy names that have a long history of working decently, is all.
Make sure your upload value is set to unlimited (in most torrents its 0 by default that represents unlimited upload rate).
Next thing is to check your "Bandwidth" settings in torrent and make sure you maximize number of connections for both simultaneous number of connection and peer connections to something like over 500, doesn't matter if you set 10.000. The more the better.

is not about the false positive, in reddit there is already a few thread's showing prof that the RUNE release of BG3 is nuked with a Bitcoin miner and was filtered through 1337 via VitaminX which was working with the admins of 1337

We're not uploading GOG, as we've been uploading GOG for this game for the past 2 years (in early access), and everyone knows that, in certain versions, "update only" from gog up to tens of GB, it makes absolutely no sense to use. As a result, I decided to stop using GOG and use Steam instead.

its full access. when i went into character creation i saw the new layout, new races and during the prologue the la'zael scene was new. Torrent link i used was 108gb. early access is around 68gb.
yes, idk about the specific version but the early access was multiplayer. all you have to do is type in the code they give you. your profile will be named "public" you might be able to change that but u cant change the icon.

you can play multiplayer. join the discord server for baldurs gate 3 and go to the looking for party section. all you need is a multiplayer code, which either you/ your friends or the people on discord can provide. discords always looking for new parties. i tested multiplayer with players on there
ignore that message. just close it. if you get a white screen you might need to delete the saves in the c:/ drive and delete the redist folder in the game.
What's .exe you started? Remember start game fron .exe inside "bin" folder (Experience for you, true for most games: If you don't see the .exe file in the root directory of the game, then look for the "bin" folder if it exists :D )
if your game is running fine its likely the game is auto detecting that the original files are not the same as expected. That would likely be the crack. the other likely option would be corrupted files.
I will not upload GOG version for this game. If you remember (I used to upload the GOG version of this game in early access) every time the game was updated, in certain versions the "update only" got pretty big size @_ @, it goes up to tens of GB, which is roughly half the game size, and so it wouldn't make any sense to be "update only".
Trust me, you won't regret using the Steam version. I will upload "update only" to it regularly.
It was available on other sites slightly before it was put on this one. Also if you download non-torrent you can get it done much faster, it's just more annoying.

Constant problems with the installation. Its not that they are just waiting, its that sometimes there isn't an update that has been officially released as a standalone download. This is why sometimes in order to get the next update, you have to download the full game with that newer build. This is why you may come across a game that has like 5 updates you can download and some of the updates seem to jump from v1.04 to 1.10 with nothing in-between.
It's probably both. They themselves have actually announced that they were waiting, I'm just repeating that as necessary. If you think they're lying you can take it up with them.
Don't panic. There's nothing substantial in these updates. They are merely cosmetic. When something important comes out, like new content, it will be uploaded for sure.

YES! I'll look to see what the newest update is as of today and see if a release has been created. Sorry that I am just now seeing this, I figured IGG would have been updating the game by now. This post will have an edit at the end IF and WHEN I find new updates. ::EDIT:: I've only been able to find a torrent to the full 65G with 5707. Sometimes the updates wont have a stand alone release from the official sources which is why you may have to wait until a stand alone IS released later with bundled updates from official sources and cracked later. The torrent in question is a RARBG release so its easy to find. EDIT 2 After doing research, a bunch of folks aint happy over at GoG who bought BG3. Apparently, for the past few updates(now we are at v3.4.1.89.3171-GOG as of 5 days ago) GoG has been having users re-downloading the whole game with the updates already installed. People aint happy. Yes, they signed up and understood that early access came with headaches but for those on a metered plan for 'X' amount of data per month or what not, this would really piss me off. Not sure why a Steam cracked version hasn't been released, but I'm guessing it being early access, the same issues would follow.
Guys, I own the game on steam. Patches so far don't offer anything important. It's mostly some random crash fixes, and a lot of graphics. The update you've got here fixes broken quicksave functionality. Install it, and ignore further patches until something with new content comes out.
And you don't need the latest one. It breaks interface a little and causes random crashes. The game is in alpha, so you really shouldn't be hounding updates. They usually break more than they fix.
After a bloody reinstallation, I've backed up the game executable files, and when I used the updates... guess what I've got to know. The updates are bloody deleting executable files for some fokin reason. Both of them. Why the hell is that? Is there some logical explanation behind it?
its probably your antivirus deleting them because of a false positive, check for your latest detected files in your antivirus and if it did delete them make an exception. I don't think update files will delete executables.
Uhm... why the bloody hell does not the game folder have game executables? I cannot start it because of this, tried to launch it through the launcher, but that won't do a thing. Can anyone please share the executables? I'm NOT going to waste another 2h30mins just to reinstall it for bloody executable file.
For those who request a new update: I think I'll wait for the next release, and maybe I'll upload the STEAM version (Instead of GOG) because for every update, GOG forces us to download again whole game.
sometimes, when updating drivers, you end up getting a really crappy microsoft version of the drivers. ALWAYS try to download drivers from the manufacturer of the device. even so called driver updater programs can really make a mess of things

If you hadn'tdone so already i would suggest getting those parts from megaup, fair warning though: you might have to redownload all of the parts from megaup if the google drive or meganz parts throw error when extracting the megaup parts(and megaup part 5 is partially broken so it is very slow)
If you look up above ahmen, you will see an update file being offered, right below the main d/l links. Just d/l that and it will update your current game, as long as you got the original here, as the check sum has to match. Sometimes there are many updates, just d/l them and apply them in order.
Check the image, you should have 2 update files, which means you have 2 updates. Do the lower number update first, just click patch_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.2651_(41774)to_4.1.83.3931_(41800).exe and point it to your main game location, after its finished then click patch_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.3931(41800)_to_4.1.83.5246_(41823).exe and do the same thing. You should be all set after that. Enjoy the game. :)

Seriously, Playing multiplayer officially on a pirated game is almost impossible. Some games MAY be able to do it, but as soon as an update hits, it won't be able to connect to the game's server as it's outdated and this being an early access game, updates will most likely be a weekly thing while an updated crack could be 2 steps behind etc. Yes, he was being snarky but he was also stating the truth. Until this game is officially released and the updates slow down to the point where it's one every few months, you'll just have to wait or buy the game. Unless there are private servers or a crack that let's you bypass and connect straight to your buddy who also needs the same version as you, its a bust.

Any type of Drow is pretty awesome as all goblins and the like bow to you and are afraid of you. Its a pretty cool story wise and one you'll miss playing any other race.
Most classes are unavailable now, so the only interesting character atm is warlock. A warlock tiefling will give you some additional options in chapter 1, which is the only one playable atm. If you want to play around with ridiculous bugs, play as a thief or a ranger. But it's kinda boring. Anyhow, the game is a rather unsuccessful mariage between BG and D:OS, so I wouldn't expect much entertainment. Has a lot of downsides of both, and only a few advantages. What's the worst, all characters are pretty much the same story-wise. It may be better with pre-made characters like in D:OS2, but now the game is boring in every aspect. DO NOT BUY PS. There's no crafting, and potion brewing is totally basic, so disregard all the garbage laying around. Equipment management is a huge black hole for your time, and yields very little benefits. EDIT: I've just failed to follow my own recommendation and bought the game. I think I'm a little retarded...

That's not how that works tho. An update will get released, THEN we need to rely on "crackers" to publish the update. Even on non-DRM games from GoG, this still needs to take place to remove anything related to "calling home" etc since that has multiplayer servers... If a pirated update already exists, it should be able to be found elsewhere if it's not here ATM. NP. Trust me, it took me AGES to fully understand how the updating process works on already released games when it comes from store fronts like Steam and GoG and how some updates are not done via "Stand Alone" updates, and I've been doing pirated shit since Newsgroups/IRC where king and it was the mid/late 90's. Had a GF that went to Michigan State and lived in the dorms and most of them where "Wired in" with high speed T1-T3 connections when the 56k became popular, so naturally I became a "High Speed Dump" for an IRC channel for "Gamez" and "Moviez" and they donated HDDs for me so I had two setups. One for my gaming rig and the other was just a barebones tower with two large HDD's running Redhat with IRC running. Tho I didn't have a DCC server, I did run an FTP server on it and displayed a message on the IRC channel every 60 seconds displaying the IP and login that was only for "@" users of said channel to upload their stuff for off site storage. It was just an excuse to get tons of free shit with out having to do any work besides figuring out how to run redhat just well enough to have an IRC program(#Orion-Moviez and #Orion-Gamez on Dalnet) and an FTP server running. This went on for almost 3 years until she left the dorms and moved into a Co-Op before her last year. This was BEFORE companies started DMCA's and torrents weren't even a thing yet. God I'm fucking old. I also used to be hardcore into MUDs too. Never used a PC or the internet until 94-95 when I met this punk rock kid at a local show who went to MSU and had access to it and found out there where a bunch of 24hr computer labs all over campus(during school season) and showed me MUDS and how to get on with out using an MSU login. I think the latest update might be causing corrupted save files? Larian removed an update because it was causing corrupted saved files so that might be it
Anyone know how to fix this quicksave issue? I can still manually save. It was working at the start as you can see from the 12 quicksaves already there, but it stopped working after I entered the beach area and did my first manual save. hmm I seem to have fixed it somehow, it may have been antivirus software, even tho I had exceptions?
For anyone experiencing the constant crashing problem in the Goblin Camp and otherwise, I found a fix that seems to work. 5+ Hours of play later I've yet to experience another crash. Increasing Virtual Memory seems to do the trick. I set mine to a minimum of 2000 and Maximum of 8000 for reference.

i googled a fix, this "might" be the problem "This error is occurring if you have %ProgramFiles% folder set in a driver other than C drive. Considering your %ProgramFiles% folder is in D drive then copy “D:\Program Files\dotnet” directory to “C:\Program Files\”. Remember that the driver may differ for most players. Do this and the Baldur’s Gate 3 NET Core Error will be fixed and you’ll be able to play the game."
Install .net core 3.1 manually. If it doesn't work, you may have to uninstall .net core and then reinstall from microsoft .net core desktop runtime 3.1.

It's most likely a VRAM issue. 6670 has only 1GB VRAM (it's a lower mid-end model of its day but it was a long time ago). It has all the technologies it needs to run bg3 but not the memory.
They don't re - add any parts unless ALL are down on all sites.. it's this websites policy or whatever. So just get those parts from megaup or something.
Does anyone have a hard time installing the updates ? I keep having the message : "Game installation not found, please reinstall" even after reinstalling. Is anyone else having trouble getting past the prologue? I've lowered settings, updated the game, ran it on DX11 instead of Vulcan. Yet no matter what I do as soon as the I finish the transponder cutscene the game crashes on the next loading screen.

You can like the game and admit there are a lot of bugs. 20 hours in, and I like it, but there are a lot of bugs and missing contents. Typical for an EA game.

Getting a CRC error on the files. the rar files are fine, but the extracted bin files are failing when using the installer. Can't even tell which file is the failure as it only shows the temp filename

Attempting a file integratity check to find which file is corrupted, but the check has been stopped at the exact same point on the progress bar as the error was occuring. The progress on integraty check has not shifted in 2 hours, nor has it told me any error on the check - just hung at that point

That were literally played the way this game is played. None of your WoW's or Skryim's or Diablo would have ever come to be. And think abiout the people that might enjoy that style of game play before you flap your lips about whatever you think you wanted to say.
Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale II, Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 don't have a turn based combat system and they still were based on the rules. When you play role games with your friends they have turns and dices because otherwise it would be chaotic and unplayable. Videogames, like those mentioned before didn't had that problem. Dragon Age Origins feels more like Baldur's Gate than this game.
Windows 7, doesn't work in any way. I haven't got problems with other games here. Tried every possible solution, directx11 is a black screen forever, and ctrl+alt+del informs me it's not responding. On Vulcan it worked ONCE and then nada. Fail... :P
Heads up everyone: The game requires 85g's of free space on your /C drive to install to another drive.For whatever crazy inefficient reason it installs a full copy of the game on your C drive then transfers it over to the other drive you chose. So if you are getting the "not enough space" prompt just make 85gs free temporarily(for instance i had to switch my kenshi and no mans sky too my D drive for the install then i just put them back n it was all good!
tried that doesnt work, gog installer just want to use the C drive for temp no matter what you change. so you basically need 65 for the download plus 82 of the installation plus like 20-30 gb for the temp files.
You need to change the values for both the TEMP and TMP variables in both the“User variables” and “System Variables" sections. (I just deleted, instead of editing, the TEMP and TMP in the "User Variables" after giving the new path for the TEMP and TMP in the "System variables.") Make sure that you restart the computer. My C drive only has about 20gb of free space but it worked.
Can confirm that moving the temp folder to the drive you want works! At least, it doesn't take up the OG drive's space. Now I'm struggling with launching it at all, as it gives me a black screen even with meeting the minimum requirements. :(
hope when the full game releases they have gamepad support i dont like playing games with keyboard and mouse only game i dont mind using keyboard is titan quest, but this game is very good just hard not using gamepad

I already shown how it's done i'm not sure what else to show. Add the file you want to download to starred, Either from the preview page, Or on your google drive. Usually you'll find it in "My drive" Quick access. Right click the file a menu will apear where you can select "add to starred" The option with a star icon on it. If you can't find it the file in your drive you'll likely find it in "Shared with me". Once the file's added to starred, All is left is to make a new folder in "my drive". Make a new folder, Then put the file you added to starred in the folder you just created. And then right click the FOLDER, Not the file inside the folder, The folder itself and select download. Then wait untill it's finished preparing. Depending on the file size it may take a while for 5gb file. Which is why i like to do this for all parts at once. Or do this before your download ends, This way as soon as your download ends you'll straight download the next part without waiting.
If it is a steam game that uses an alternate app id like many do you have to open steam and select that app id properties and change parameter steam input-per game setting to forced off assuming it is a steam bypass using brawhalla or spacewar but if it is check the appid it uses make sure its installed on steam and change that setting it will make controller work unless game just does not support it for now.
took me a whole day worth of waiting between the download and the install, played 2 hours, my opinion? Wait a couple weeks. The game right now if FAR from finished and if you expect the level of polishment from Divinity OS2 then you will be quite dissapointed. There is a lot of freezes, huge frame drops and textures glitches. For now download it if you want but you'll have to search for the patchs and install them one by one as they get realeased. Unless you have a "master race" pc like some big time streamer to run it while playing flight simulator in the background, I recommend you to wait
I haven't experienced any frame drops, but what does show up is what I expected from an early access kit. Weird camera angles during cutscenes, textures taking longer than usual to load in, janky animation, I've seen some T-posing, enemy character models suddenly exploding across the screen after you kill them, I experienced a looping dialogue and some abruptly ended scenes. Despite those flaws, the game has run quite smoothly in terms of fps and there has been no freezing on my part.
The game works like a charm on gtx1060. Go a little lower with image quality and you'll have 100+ fps on a potato pc. There will be drops. Sure. But do you really mind? If the game looked/worked like that on release, I wouldn't complain. It's not the technical side that's a problem with this game.
I think you're criticizing the wrong things, imo. I think it's kinda fudged up how they pretty much just recycled the first area of divinity original sin 2 in the first story area, anyway. I just hope it doesn't do that the whole playthrough.
Hmm, my installation freezes at around 40%, the window stops responding. I tried 2times. There is enough disk space available. Anyone else ran into that problem? edit: Nevermind....i just let it run and it came back, didn't respond for like 20min though
The size is too big, it even still in early access, game usually put in SSD especially for big size game that need performance. Sometimes we probably need to install and uninstall between SSD and HDD, for example I don't delete most played games and collect them instead so it become very big totally more than 5+2 TB now. When game start to become this big it become a chore and raise the frequency to do it. If no one said anything then no one have any issue and this will become normal standard for a game and especially if the file become big unnecessarily.
Sounds like hype, and the hype isn't even that great. The game is painfully ripping off DOS2. Damn, first you find yourself on a "sinking" ship attacked by monsters, and then you land on a beach, with a "collar bug" inside you that will turn you into zombie, if you don't remove it. Interface is painfully uncomfortable. It's just a mediocre design. Graphics and camera work are bad, though at least one of these may be fixed in the future. Combat mechanics is wanky. They clearly wanted to make something like Divinity, but BG elements are hampering them and they didn't know how to implement them correctly. Jumping is just confusing. The mechanics of spell slots is awful. All in all, I'm rather disappointed.
You really need to play it yourself. Because so far, I've played for like 6 hours and it is definitely recycling a lot of DOS2. Obviously, the story and characters are different and unique. Also a bunch of the textures are definitely changed. But the actual maps, so far, are blatant copy pastes. Seriously, just play DOS2 starting area where you land on the beach, and then this game.. and you'll see.
Ppl with fast internet like the guy below with the mod tag have no problem at all redownloading a game this size. Meanwhile folks like me with 200kb per sec speed find it quite irritating indeed. Guess i will wait for full release.
Google Drive's quota limit bypass. Follow instructions to bypass the quota limit: Ad the file to starred, Create a new folder in your drive, Add the starred file in the folder you just created, And lastly download the folder. Here's an example.
This doesnt seem to work anymore? when i click download folder it attempts to ZIP the contents, doesnt look like what you posted. then it basically takes forever and nothing seems to happen. EDIT: After about an hour or so the zip seemed to finish and downloaded.. guess it works, but takes a while.

I don't know why, but this game refuses to install on the right drive. I tell it to install to my D drive but it keeps installing on my default, which doesn't have the space for it. I have no idea why this is happening and I'm just stumped. :l
try to change the disk letter only, like from default C you change it to D and then just let it install it's own folder structure? It worked for me when I try hunter call of the bug.

I'm having the same issue, but in addition it's saving files on both drives for some reason. Both my C drive and D drive have storage being used. Trying to find where the files are being saved on C drive. Can probably figure a workaround then Edit: It stopped using my C drive now. Mid-install, lol wtf. I ran GOG installer as admin, had it installed under a new folder on D drive named "Baldurs Gate 3", and it is loading fine. I started with 30 gigs free on my C drive; it dipped down to 11.4 gigs at lowest. Refunded storage mid-install--at 27.7 gigs on main drive now. Installing normally on D drive currently. Last Edit: Installed successfully, C drive is back to pre-installation storage at 30.2 gigs. So the installer is just phantom installing on C for some reason. Nothing is actually saved there., so I guess the solution is just to have enough storage on C to get through the installation on D
Are you sure there's enough space on your destination drive? Also, make sure that there are no special characters in your installation path like ę or ą. Software that hasn't been properly debugged, and this is early access, tend to have problems with them sometimes. You may also try to run the installer as admin. There's something definitely wrong with the installer, though. It took me like an hour to install it, and it's insane.

I know people will love it because Larian, but I really with nearly any other cRPG dev got the Baldur's Gate. inXile or Obsidian would have made an actual sequel (mechanics, feel, atmosphere, etcetera) to Baldur's Gate. This looks like another Divinity game (and is eighty fucking gigs), and that completely kills any excitement I had when it was announced. (Warning, this is an opinion) I really dislike their writing and the gameplay (combat, UI, "exploration", so on) of the two Divinity games is horrific and this seems to be more of the same.
I think Divinity games were good. I think Larian writing is good especially in DOS2, but firstly I'm not sure it fits BG, and secondly I REALLY hate that it has turn-based combat and generally gameplay looks exactly like Divinity. I don't like that they seem to have taken their own quirky set of systems and just shoved them into a completely different game. I too wish either a different dev were making this OR that this game had any other name than it has. Why not some other unused FG city? ...the answer is probably brand recognition. For that matter why not just make Divinity 3? Was the franchise not selling anymore?
I actually liked DOS1/2 a lot. A LOT. But in this case, it's a rather weird hybrid that does everything a little, or quite a lot worse than DOS games. The whole UI is extremely cumbersome. not sure about it if Obsidian had it think they would not have added the new races/species to the game. They stayed close to the forgotten realms, never getting to the expanded planes.
Personally I think turn-based is fine, DOS2 was fun, I just don't like it in series where it doesn't belong. It's like if in 5 years the dev Spiders got to make DOS3 and they turned it to a real-time action rpg, Would DOS be cool with that? I'd say no.
As far as cRPGs, I actually strongly prefer turn-based, but something about they way they do it I despise. I know part of it is the difficulty/balance (which I feel is garbage), but otherwise I couldn't say.

I have been in that situation before where I can only download things at 500 kb/s at best, now I can download around 4 mb/s which is considerably faster than mine before, still mine very low compared to ppl who live in richer county. you just need to upgrade your internet first, then download from gdrive (best speed imo).

when Divinity Original Sin 2 came out of early access back in the day, there were so many game breaking bug that needed to be fixed. During the course of its development, Larian Studios were constantly updating and fixing the game until it became a masterpiece. If you have ever played any of the Baldurs Gates, you would know why Larians Baldurs Gate doesn't really resemble the original, but I think many have issue with the fact that the combat isn't active and the game has far too many aspects to it that are from Divinity. The game is also 5e and not 2e which will put many of the purist off as well. I enjoyed Divinity 1&2, but I wasn't expecting for Baldurs Gate 3 to be so similar. I'll still give it a try regardless.
There will never be another official D&D game using 2e rules. WotC always use whatever rule-set is currently out when a game is being developed. People are putting ridiculous expectations on what the sequel was supposed to be because of misguided notions of nostalgia on what made the BG series good. That and things that are completely out of Larian's control, such as the edition being used.

Yep. I have 500 gorilla floppers of SDD, and 1 terror false-flaggers piloting mechanical, and I still have to install prudently -- lest I have to start playing hard disk drive musical chairs. Having said that, most game don't really need muh super-mega-duper DeLorean-fast SDD's to run without any appreciable / noticeable decline in experience... The whole Solid Salami Dildo thing is a tad meme-y, IMO -- kind of like muh 8 quintillion-K T. V.'s, sis gorillion hertz refresh rates etc. (...welcome to planned obsolescent, infinite growth capitalism, goy! 😏). In my experience, only the likes of Fallout 4 and Conan Exiles have benefitted from being on an SDD -- i.e., through much faster [initial] loading times.

I thought that about a few games, albiet less popular than this, still had a large and loyal player-base. Haven't seen any updates for that and i know it's been requested. So forgive my suspended belief.
Lets break this down. "proper" and "rpg". First lets look at rpg, or otherwise, roleplay game. DnD is a game, that allows you to roleplay. What is the definition of proper? From Meridian Webster "truly what something is said or regarded to be; genuine." Thus by its very existence DnD is a "proper rpg" in that it is a game that you can play in which you roleplay. There is no other qualifiers for what an RPG is, there is no "must have these mechanics/stats/objects" etc, the only qualifier for an RPG is that it is a game, that allows you to roleplay.

honestly, DnD 3.5 was still kind of OK. Very basic but acceptable. DnD 5.. where you do not even have "skill values" anymore, just tagged or untagged skills.. "do anything" is also iffy, yes you could do "anything" but it should have consequence. also it should make sense. not to mention that people keep mixing up their interest and their characters interest. their knowledge and their characters knowledge. just because you know something it does not mean that your character knows. but pointing that out just gives you bad comments from all players because you "disrupt the game flow" And i tried to play a round of DnD5 some time ago, but stopped before starting while just creating and discussing some characters. Watched several videos by CritCrab and somehow is acting "like your character would".. WWMCD? a bad thing.. so acting like the role you are playing is bad... GMs/DMs which do not take responsibility for allowing players to play characters which do not fit into the existing group. Focus on number crunching instead of creating a (background)strory that makes sense. Me: "Oh, where did your character learn that?" Player: "I bought it at level up" Me: "So, suddenly within 1 second you go from being bad at climbing to becoming a master climber?" Player: "Yes, the rules say so" Encounters and Adventures created in a way that players only meet dangers that are matched to their level (instead of creating a living vivid world). I mean, what is the chance that you will always meet dangers that are matched to your level for your whole life? As if everything that is truly dangerous for you is locked away and disappears from the world until you get stronger. These days i just do not see that much difference between creating a custom character in Warhammer Fantasy VS playing DnD. Some groups even play with players playing multiple characters / a squad. Complete focus of the game on combat, between combats short stays in towns to restock and rest and.. next combat. PnP RPGs have more possibilites than Computer Rpgs like.. baldurs gate etc. but most people play it the same or even more extreme.

in divinity i know you had to have the same file version im not sure if that rule is the same here because me and my cousin had the same version
so to play online is simple
1 goto multiplayer and create a session and in the options make sure you click the options to enable direct connections (I also click allow lan but not sure if that's needed)
2 in the right side there will be a server id you give that to the person to join your game
3 Now the person joining goes to the multiplayer option and click the direct connections option and enters the server id to join the game
VERY IMPORTANT
if you use a gamepad you cannot click the button to join a direct connection game so just move the mouse around and wait for it to switch the ui to mouse/keyboard version
this will start a new game every one will be able to create their own character
if you want to join a game in progress load a game
pause go to session, then click session manager to get the session id
for gamepad just pause and click LB then start to get the session id.

Pirated versions dose not work multiplayer cause it needs a connection with the game server to register the id, due that your friend wont receive any response when entering the id.
you must not know how direct connections work, if you doubt it works test it out yourself.
cause it does not let me invite people. When i press on the + button it does nothing.
and i also cannot open the steam overly with Shift+tab.
You just need to copy the id to your friend, and then he pastes it on the direct code thingy.
The id contains all the data of ip, port, router info, etc. that is required for a peer-to-peer conection to be established.

Man we put that old Aspire through it's paces. I've had several computers since then but that first one was serious workhorse considering the wife, all 3 of our kids and myself had the thing going 24/7.
BG 1 and 2, Planescape; Torment, Fallout 1 and 2 were ALWAYS being played it seemed like.
I have no comments about BG 3,,, just that the series itself brings back some really good memories and now that everyone but one daughter is no longer with us. I'll wait 6 months for patches and bug fixes and probably just buy it unless reviews by that point are tanked.

There is no stand alone update to update game (Fitgirl, DODI, or any other version) to 4.1.1.3905231 (aka "Patch #4"), you have to download WHOLE game again, YES, WHOLE GAME AGAIN in version 4.1.1.3905231 and THEN apply v4.1.1.3911062 patch. I tried last night to update 4.1.1.37... and all I got is no sound and black world in DX12, and no sound and invisible characters in DX11. I tried to remove Patch**.PAKs in DATA folder but that crashed/freezed game.
Honest advice, if you have downloaded the game from a certain website, always stick to that website, because only they can know the exact version they used. It would be irresponsible for them to leave it alone and let their users randomly search and use whatever they find on the internet. It will break your game sooner or later.

EDIT: While I haven't found a solution for the failed save other than not interacting with any merchant I think I did find one for Dammon. Load a save before he gets killed and make sure neither he nor the spoiler character spawn, then go to your camp. Once you come out of camp the spoiler character should no longer be aggressive and Dammon should survive

If you are using Deluxe Edition items (which this version includes) or have used the "Peculiar Clothing Chest" and stashed stuff in there and stored them in your camp ... well, they may have disappeared from your game for good 😄
Apparently the new update has broken these items. If you're like me and have stored all your important potions in that purple box ... well, you're twice as lucky. They are gone forever it seems 😅
At first I thought there was something wrong with my save. Did a bit of googling and yeah, it seems to be happening to many people.
It is for people who have linked their BG3 account to their Twitch and have watched +2 hours of official BGS3 content.
Larian, upon realizing this, suddenly decided to remove them from the game for others.
The removal of those clothes is nothing game-breaking. But if someone has made the mistake of putting some quest-related items inside that chest, this might have very well broken their game, since the box and everything in it has vanished out of existence as well.
They could've done a smoother transition, like replacing the clothes with normal clothes so people don't reload the game into a naked cutscene 😅
Or switching the chest and its content to a normal wooden box, but they decided to just remove them completely.

EDIT:So as it turns out it wasn't my mods causing the issue, it was the patch itself. If when you start the game the entire menu is invisible delete the following files form the data folder:

I feel like it's the nature of the game and by design. Many fights start with enemies having innate dodge or accuracy buffs.
Maybe try turning off that option?
I've explained it in a post below. You'll find it if you scroll. They had basically put that box in the deluxe bundle by mistake (was meant to be a Twitch drop).
So they removed it like a man ... alongside everything people had put in them.
So, it wasn't a bug, but rather a feature! And therefor it won't have a fix probably.
I read below that the update apparently edits some metadata. So no amount of rolling back or reinstallation will fix that. Apparently all save files are affected.

And don't talk about those "hypocrites" sub reddit here. Where the moderators there own over 30 pirate sites, including games and software (I'm not sure if they own the movie sites). They started setting up those sites in 2018, and coincidentally, that's also when they claimed that most of the other major sites were unreliable. Just as they started saying "their" sites are trustworthy, lol. Dozens of great sites, decades old, unreliable. While their sites have only been established for a few months (in 2018), they have become trusted.
And the truth is that up until now, their sites have always been slow to upload compared to other major sites. Instead of taking time to work hard, upload games quickly. Then they spend their time navigating rumors in their reddit sub, they train stupid sheep there. A dirty marketing game.
Again, I'll show you how to "research". Do you know where this version came from? it comes from SCENE, specifically in this case from RUNE. = About the watermarks: first of all, you may not know, IGG has existed for over a decade, even before the creation of the domain igg-games.com. We were "Install Guild Games" (the name didn't make any sense, lol), actually at the time, we were just a small group, with no intention of uploading anything on the internet. We simply love playing AAA games, and want to connect with people on the internet, mainly through youtube and facebook. The only purpose true to the name IGG at that time was to play the game with everyone, as friends, and help someone if they don't know how to install the game, through teamview, chat, bla bla, ... Later as the community grew, there were hundreds of volunteers, and tens of thousands of people asking us to share the links so they could easily download the games, instead of having to go google and search random download links, that's the birth of igg-games.com.
We were really poor, and with everyone's donations, we started buying some games (at that time, there weren't any websites to buy games, most of games were from the scene, that's a significant difference). And other sites started to leak these games from our site. At the same time, was the birth of a number of other websites, they also started operating like us, they also bought their own games. WTF, we've been doing it since 2014. And what's more surprising, until now, online-fix.me still uses that DRM, and no one complains about it, even though there are dozens of users out there who still download from that site, lol. But posts complaining about "virus found on IGG" started appearing in mid-2018. Are you surprised? while before that, from 2010 until 2018, there was never a single complaint. NOTE: not just IGG site, but a bunch of other big sites at that time, like skidrow* (not skidrowreloaded now), oceanofgames,.... all suffer from this. I'm sure there have been thousands of "evidence of virus uploaded by IGG" posted there since then, lol. And coincidentally, they started listing "trusted sites", and directing people to use them. Most of them are brand new sites, only a few hundred games uploaded, haha. Somehow they are considered trustworthy, look like someone created a new website, uploaded some games, and said "hey, my site only has 3 games, they sure there's no virus, check it out, and put me on the trusted list", lol. While other older sites, there are tens of thousands of games. There was only one time, they were right, I think they were just as excited as they found the gold mine, that was they found a game from IGG that actually contained a virus, which I have to admit, it was. That game was uploaded decades ago, when we just started the site, and didn't have much experience. That was the only time. Most of the other things they say, are ads, and they deliberately manipulate public opinion, to make people think it's a virus.
= About the things they say are "javascript, hijackers,...": Those are obviously ads, and what's interesting is that all pirated sites use some of the same ad sources. A few years ago, moderators there ran a campaign to spread false rumors about major websites at the time, by saying that these websites were spreading viruses (inserting viruses, hacking into browsers, track users,...???), then advise people to use their "trusted" sites, which still don't use ads :). But now, after more than a year, all major websites are included in the "untrusted list". They started placing ads on their websites, lol. You do not believe? try turning off adblock, go to sites like dodi, ovagames, steamrip,... and I'm sure you'll have to struggle with ads before reaching the real link, even more than mine :D. Are you surprise? this is what they said it was a virus, and they are using it :)). Now, follow my instructions, create a thread in that subreddit, and complain about their sites, your thread will be deleted immediately, haha.
= Another interesting thing, about "cookies": I don't know what to call it, "hack cookies", "add viruses to cookies",... because there is an article by a moderator (the moderator himself wrote this article, you can find it there). They said I inserted a virus into my browser's cookie @_@....????? I don't know if they're really being stupid or if they're pretending to be stupid. I remember when I was little, my parents didn't have money to let me go see David Copperfield perform, they said "David Copperfield is a wizard, don't go there if you don't want to die or lose consciousness" =)). Do you believe that? That bastard moderator is just like my parents from many years ago, they said things that COULDN'T HAPPEN. I'm not the creator of the internet, lol. I'm also not one of the core devs of chrome/firefox/edge/... Cookies are simply text strings, and that's how it worked in the early days of the internet, if I could insert a virus to cookies, then I think I wouldn't be here now, I have become rich, and the internet would be broken immediately. Ummm... moderator of a large pirate community, but doesn't know how the most basic things work? Meanwhile, I saw one of their websites uploading viruses, at the time that site only had a few hundred games, haha. And they said "sorry, we fixed it, so feel free to keep using it", lol. You can see this for yourself there, hope they don't erase the tracks.
= They say "hey, IGG uses ads, the ads are shady, they're really virus". In case you don't know, all pirate sites currently use the same ad source, so they are exactly the same. Many of their sites also use ads, but if someone complains they'll say "fuck you, why don't you use adblock", or "you're ungrateful, support us by ads"...or some worse, they use intermediaries to place ads, and say these sites have nothing to do with them.
*** Another fact, they have dozens of pirate games websites, some of their websites are also listed as untrusted by themselves, for some reason that they cannot deny. But soon they will buff a few other sites and direct people to use the new ones.

In general, if you update, there is mostly no reason for concern about your save files when updating. The save files are stored away in your Larian Studios Local Appdata folder and not stored where your game.exe is, so it's save to update.
Even if you are concerned, you can always back them up, but generally updates don't touch on the save files. And most updates do fix things or add animations. It is also easier to keep up to date if you play with mods that get updated to the newer version sooner than later.
Just in case you want to backup your save files you can type %appdata% in your windows search, go back one folder because it's spits you out into the Roaming folder, go to Local, Larian Studios, Baldur's Gate 3, PlayerProfiles, Public and there you have a Savegames folder with a Story folder inside where all your manual, auto and quicksaves are in.

You said you are on v4.1.1.4811634, which is Hotfix #19.
You would have to download all the parts of the game again, unfortunately, if you want to update, since you can't update from Hotfix #19 to Hotfix #22, which is the first standalone update they provide here. Otherwise you will get errors, just like I said in my comment from the post below.
Even though it's annoying, there wouldn't be another way around to be able to update. Your save files will still be in the appdata folder I mentioned above, even if you delete your Baldur's Gate 3 game folder.
Just redownload the parts, unpack them again and then download the updates one by one and do them in order aswell, then there shouldn't be any issues updating to the newer versions.

I also checked, since I don't see what is in your folder there, but most of the bigger files of BG3 are in the Data folder, so it to me would seem that quite a bunch are not there at all since the whole Data folder is 141GB.
I'm not completely sure why yours is so small or what could've happened but it seems like it skipped a bunch of stuff it normally would've unpacked.
I hate to say it, but it seems like you would need to redownload the rar files and try again, if you don't have them still.
I just deleted the entire thing and thankfully I still have the rar ready and re-extract it and it works :D
same as when i load my romanced gale patch 5 hotfix 17 save there is no new kisses, but waking up epilogue scene played nicely, the Gale last line is "Not Found", save game usually its called charname_somenumbers_lastplaces, now shows Not found_lastplaces both past save or new save with new run. im in middle of applying tags to my custom race, but noticed "the descent" answer dialogue broken, when i erased all the tags from the mod, and apply tiefling diguise, not found is still there. so i suspect this is patch problem, not any of my mods. im cant continue since im worried ill encounter bunch of Not found dialogues, the version is match with hotfix 20 version.

in this game and other Larian games you can play co op with other users online
in divinity i know you had to have the same file version im not sure if that rule is the same here because me and my cousin had the same version
so to play online is simple
1 goto multiplayer and create a session and in the options make sure you click the options to enable direct connections (I also click allow lan but not sure if that's needed)
2 in the right side there will be a server id you give that to the person to join your game
3 Now the person joining goes to the multiplayer option and click the direct connections option and enters the server id to join the game
VERY IMPORTANT
if you use a gamepad you cannot click the button to join a direct connection game so just move the mouse around and wait for it to switch the ui to mouse/keyboard version
this will start a new game every one will be able to create their own character
if you want to join a game in progress load a game
pause go to session, then click session manager to get the session id
for gamepad just pause and click LB then start to get the session id.

In order for us to help you, you should provide more detailed information about the installation process, please answer my question above. Also here are the instructions:
- Download the first 20 parts, you will have (v4.1.1.3905231 (Patch #4)), just extract (remember to turn off AV before extracting, maybe AV will remove the cracked file) and play. Start game from "bg3_dx11.exe" or "bg3.exe" in "/bin" folder. See if the game works at this step before going to the next step.
- Download update Hotfix 11 | v4.1.1.3956130, then follow the instructions inside the file "__HOW TO USE UPDATE.txt".
Let me know at which step you get an error.where can i find the previous update ?

The "new" RUNE version doesn't allow you to change your language.
It also takes you the opportunity to play multiplayer whit friends via direct connection.
You open "\Data\Localization\language.lsx" file with notepad or something. Then change English, to your language, ex "French". Then save file and start game ;)
Instead push the launcher, now everything is probably in Russian because Russians know that every game is Our game**( XD). Now at the top left there should be two options to click in Russian moonrunes, the bottom one actually says "options" in Russian moonrunes. click it.
Now ur on a page with more Russian moon runes but on the left side is a box u can click to check mark the options, ignore the 3 boxes, there will be a GIANT set of words under those 3 lines of boxes ( the ones u can check with moon runes scribbled after them) The giants lettering actually is Russian moon rune for "Language" click the elongated rectangle under it and now you'll see all the language options and the languages swap as u scroll. Scroll until the moon runes turn into civilized human words that emphasize freedom, Guns, and the god given right to hate communism.

Err... "D&D" is the rule set that both DOS (Divinity: Original Sin) and the BG (Baldur's Gate) games adhere to, along with others like the Diablo series and the Neverwinter Night games. You may wanna use Google to understand what are RPG rule sets and what are specifically the "Dungeon & Dragon" based rules and which games use which version. Okay?
Secondly, the original BG games didn't follow a turn-based battle system like the DOS games. The combat style in BG1 and BG2 was real-time combat, where you could pause at anytime to issue specific commands to your individual units. Otherwise all the units would follow their own battle script. Also, in the BG games you had the choice of creating and customizing the whole team, instead of just the MC.
So, yes, BG3 is just a DOS game in the BG world, and not an actual BG game. I know, because I, unlike you, have actually played the old BG games. Okay?

Next thing is to check your "Bandwidth" settings in torrent and make sure you maximize number of connections for both simultaneous number of connection and peer connections to something like over 500, doesn't matter if you set 10.000. The more the better.

Believe me, you will regret using GOG if you want to download "update only" in small size.
did you know, for the past 2 years, we've been uploading GOG versions all the time? and if you know that, you also see, we don't update it very often, but only every few months, because there is no "update only". I've only been able to find a torrent to the full 65G with 5707. Sometimes the updates wont have a stand alone release from the official sources which is why you may have to wait until a stand alone IS released later with bundled updates from official sources and cracked later.
The torrent in question is a RARBG release so its easy to find.

After doing research, a bunch of folks aint happy over at GoG who bought BG3. Apparently, for the past few updates(now we are at v3.4.1.89.3171-GOG as of 5 days ago) GoG has been having users re-downloading the whole game with the updates already installed. People aint happy.
Yes, they signed up and understood that early access came with headaches but for those on a metered plan for 'X' amount of data per month or what not, this would really piss me off. Not sure why a Steam cracked version hasn't been released, but I'm guessing it being early access, the same issues would follow.

Playing multiplayer officially on a pirated game is almost impossible.
Some games MAY be able to do it, but as soon as an update hits, it won't be able to connect to the game's server as it's outdated and this being an early access game, updates will most likely be a weekly thing while an updated crack could be 2 steps behind etc.
Yes, he was being snarky but he was also stating the truth. Until this game is officially released and the updates slow down to the point where it's one every few months, you'll just have to wait or buy the game. Unless there are private servers or a crack that let's you bypass and connect straight to your buddy who also needs the same version as you, its a bust.

I'm not playing as a human! It already sucks being one.
If you want to play around with ridiculous bugs, play as a thief or a ranger. But it's kinda boring.
Anyhow, the game is a rather unsuccessful mariage between BG and D:OS, so I wouldn't expect much entertainment. Has a lot of downsides of both, and only a few advantages. What's the worst, all characters are pretty much the same story-wise. It may be better with pre-made characters like in D:OS2, but now the game is boring in every aspect.

PS. There's no crafting, and potion brewing is totally basic, so disregard all the garbage laying around. Equipment management is a huge black hole for your time, and yields very little benefits.

If a pirated update already exists, it should be able to be found elsewhere if it's not here ATM. IRC/USENET is a good bet, Crack related r/ are also good to see if an update has been released into the wilds etc. I've noticed that after an update has been released via a group, it usually takes place shortly after the official drop and then it takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days for it to land on "Index" sites like this.

So it seems that they (GoG) has NOT released a standalone patch for 4.1.84.2021 according to https://www.gogdb.org, so apperntly, in order to play this release you'll have to find the WHOLE game with this build (which IS available but thats another 80gigs you need) or you will need to wait until they DO release a standalone of another build (you know how you'll see crack patches that seem to skip builds like '3.01 to 3.5.5 update.patch.exe', this is why you'll see jumps in multiple update patches on sites like these)

Trust me, it took me AGES to fully understand how the updating process works on already released games when it comes from store fronts like Steam and GoG and how some updates are not done via "Stand Alone" updates, and I've been doing pirated shit since Newsgroups/IRC where king and it was the mid/late 90's.
Had a GF that went to Michigan State and lived in the dorms and most of them where "Wired in" with high speed T1-T3 connections when the 56k became popular, so naturally I became a "High Speed Dump" for an IRC channel for "Gamez" and "Moviez" and they donated HDDs for me so I had two setups. One for my gaming rig and the other was just a barebones tower with two large HDD's running Redhat with IRC running. Tho I didn't have a DCC server, I did run an FTP server on it and displayed a message on the IRC channel every 60 seconds displaying the IP and login that was only for "@" users of said channel to upload their stuff for off site storage.
It was just an excuse to get tons of free shit with out having to do any work besides figuring out how to run redhat just well enough to have an IRC program(#Orion-Moviez and #Orion-Gamez on Dalnet) and an FTP server running.
This went on for almost 3 years until she left the dorms and moved into a Co-Op before her last year. This was BEFORE companies started DMCA's and torrents weren't even a thing yet.

The game requires 85g's of free space on your /C drive to install to another drive.For whatever crazy inefficient reason it installs a full copy of the game on your C drive then transfers it over to the other drive you chose. So if you are getting the "not enough space" prompt just make 85gs free temporarily(for instance i had to switch my kenshi and no mans sky too my D drive for the install then i just put them back n it was all good!

Add the file you want to download to starred, Either from the preview page, Or on your google drive. Usually you'll find it in "My drive" Quick access. Right click the file a menu will apear where you can select "add to starred" The option with a star icon on it.
If you can't find it the file in your drive you'll likely find it in "Shared with me".
Once the file's added to starred, All is left is to make a new folder in "my drive". Make a new folder, Then put the file you added to starred in the folder you just created. And then right click the FOLDER, Not the file inside the folder, The folder itself and select download. Then wait untill it's finished preparing. Depending on the file size it may take a while for 5gb file. Which is why i like to do this for all parts at once. Or do this before your download ends, This way as soon as your download ends you'll straight download the next part without waiting.

Sometimes we probably need to install and uninstall between SSD and HDD, for example I don't delete most played games and collect them instead so it become very big totally more than 5+2 TB now.
When game start to become this big it become a chore and raise the frequency to do it. If no one said anything then no one have any issue and this will become normal standard for a game and especially if the file become big unnecessarily.

The game is painfully ripping off DOS2. Damn, first you find yourself on a "sinking" ship attacked by monsters, and then you land on a beach, with a "collar bug" inside you that will turn you into zombie, if you don't remove it.
Interface is painfully uncomfortable. It's just a mediocre design. Graphics and camera work are bad, though at least one of these may be fixed in the future. Combat mechanics is wanky. They clearly wanted to make something like Divinity, but BG elements are hampering them and they didn't know how to implement them correctly. Jumping is just confusing. The mechanics of spell slots is awful.
All in all, I'm rather disappointed.
Meanwhile folks like me with 200kb per sec speed find it quite irritating indeed. Guess i will wait for full release.
Follow instructions to bypass the quota limit:
Ad the file to starred, Create a new folder in your drive, Add the starred file in the folder you just created, And lastly download the folder. Here's an example.
EDIT: After about an hour or so the zip seemed to finish and downloaded.. guess it works, but takes a while.
Google annoying as hell, they are big but act like small fry FFS, they shouldn't limit things, people can just make several files on several accounts anyway.
Edit: It stopped using my C drive now. Mid-install, lol wtf. I ran GOG installer as admin, had it installed under a new folder on D drive named "Baldurs Gate 3", and it is loading fine. I started with 30 gigs free on my C drive; it dipped down to 11.4 gigs at lowest. Refunded storage mid-install--at 27.7 gigs on main drive now. Installing normally on D drive currently.
Last Edit: Installed successfully, C drive is back to pre-installation storage at 30.2 gigs. So the installer is just phantom installing on C for some reason. Nothing is actually saved there., so I guess the solution is just to have enough storage on C to get through the installation on D
Also, make sure that there are no special characters in your installation path like ę or ą. Software that hasn't been properly debugged, and this is early access, tend to have problems with them sometimes.
You may also try to run the installer as admin.
There's something definitely wrong with the installer, though. It took me like an hour to install it, and it's insane.

GMs/DMs which do not take responsibility for allowing players to play characters which do not fit into the existing group.
Focus on number crunching instead of creating a (background)strory that makes sense.

I mean, what is the chance that you will always meet dangers that are matched to your level for your whole life? These days i just do not see that much difference between creating a custom character in Warhammer Fantasy VS playing DnD. Some groups even play with players playing multiple characters / a squad.
Complete focus of the game on combat, between combats short stays in towns to restock and rest and.. next combat.
PnP RPGs have more possibilites than Computer Rpgs like.. baldurs gate etc. but most people play it the same or even more extreme.
And the changes from 3.5 to 5e make it obvious that DnD is not an RPG but some kind of squad based tactical game with rpg elements.
