Somebody already mentioned Guardian Heroes on Sega Saturn in the comments, but let me recommend another gem on that forgotten marvelous console : Princess Crown. https://youtu.be/CFkl_95zrPY?t=125 In my opinion, you might have even more fun with this than with Code of Princess EX.
Yeah, another game I would rather play instead.Wasn't Odin's Sphere like a spiritual successor to Princess Crown? Btw, I was the guy mentioning Guardian Heroes (and Odin's Sphere) and just saw that the comment got removed. Some mod being butthurt about people finding Code of Princess bad / ugly?
Hmmm that's strange. They wouldn't have any reason to delete a comment like this. Oh and you're right about Odin's Sphere : "The game was conceived by George Kamitani as first a sequel and then a spiritual successor to the 1997 Sega Saturn title Princess Crown."
Regardless of who is shown half-naked most, half-naked men are still a fanservice for men, only gay men instead of straight. Why? Because straight women don't get aroused seeing half-naked men, while gay men do. If your girlfriend(s) tell(s) you otherwise, sorry, but it's a total lie. In short, if you see a man naked or half-naked in media, it's a gay man's fantasy, not a straight woman's.
Gay man fantasy? False because most of them half naked male characters are straight and have love relationships with female characters, developers don't have gay men in mind when creating those characters that target straight male gamers more than anyone else "straight women don't get aroused seeing half-naked men" Hundreds of women say that, but their actions say otherwise, when a well built man takes off his shirt they can't keep their eyes off of him
I don't mean to start an argument, so I apologize if anything I said or I'm going to say offends anyone. Just let me explain my reasons for writing the above comment. I'm a straight woman, and I can assure you, nothing about a "well-built man taking off his shirt" arouses me, and of course, I'm not the only one. Women may stare because it's an unusal sight, or simply because they're used to playing, as in, pretending that they're excited the same way a man gets excited seeing a half-naked woman. Most of the time, women laugh when they see naked or half-naked men, and it has nothing to do with excitement or arousal. It's plain embarrassment and awkwardness. When a woman sees her man half-naked or naked, that's a different story. If she gets excited it's because she shares an emotional bond with said man; she wouldn't react like that for just any man. Now, unless you're a woman, or you've interviewed a hundred or so women who told you, in absolute honesty, that they feel aroused by the sight of a naked or half-naked man, then please trust me, I think I know how women think and feel better. Also, I've done enough research so I could say these things without feeling like I'm simply stating how I feel personally, and then generalizing and claiming that all women feel the same way I do. As for why there are shirtless men in media, you may be right that they're not necessarily targeting gay men, since it's a pretty small audience, but even if not, I'm sure gay men still like seeing shirtless men, whether the character is straight or otherwise. If they're seriously targeting straight women, thinking of doing a bit of fanservice, surely it's a misunderstanding: men may believe women get aroused by seeing half-naked men (as you yourself do, for example), and so they add to their casts male characters who don revealing clothing and whatnot. To tell you the truth, I wish I actually could get excited from that. Unfortunately, no matter how much I liked the protagonist in Prince of Persia, playing the Two Thrones โ where he's shirtless for more than half of the game โ did absolutely nothing for me. From a bunch of articles I read, it seems men get aroused mostly from visual stimuli; conversely, women get aroused from a large amount of different things, and it greatly depends on the situation. Straight women can get excited seeing other women, for instance, and I'm no stranger to that. I read somewhere that women get excited from roles and situations; another source stated that women get excited seeing sexy acts in general, regardless of who the partcipants are (men, women and even sex between animals). Basically, female desire and arousal is kind of a mystery, even to women themselves. If you're curious, you can look up these things real quick, I'm sure you'll be surprised (as I was) by how many things are misunderstood or taken for granted.
C'mon, man! Don't you know you anime physics? In the universal properties of female armor the less it covers, the more it protects. Adding in time, space, trajectory, odds, angling, evens, active tropes, cuteness rating, and fanbase, all projectiles will always be deflected by that bit of metal being worn... That or every enemy trying to attack the female will have stormtrooper aiming, regardless of their impeccable accuracy beforehand. The only weakness are slimes. Lumbering, slow as molasses being poured in Antarctica, weak as hell slimes. a single drop on it renders the armor useless...as well as the wearer...for other reasons. It's like the first thing you learn before you get your certificate to go killin' random monsters. C'moooon, man!
Anime logic also states that there are as many female soldiers and warriors as men which is far from true, so if we want realism we should get rid of all unrealistic representations and not just the ones that make American women feel self conscious
No can do, bub. We start adding realism in a fantastic fantasy world, the universe will unravel! You speak of changing the Neo-European-Asian-Anime-whatever culture of attire and attendance as if it's the entire world's problem. But what of the thicc Amazonian race and their well-built, abundant population of women? The ratio over the scarcity of men as high as the sudden snu-snu rate brought upon said rare (and mostly feeble from all the snu-snu) men. They do not share such a problem, in fact they subvert it. What's next? A sudden revolt against humans led by the kobolds, proclaiming that there is a superiority problem that must be addressed and then abolished, leaving an obvious power vacuum with no idea or even a glancing thought of how that can be fulfilled, all the while villages all over burn due excessive fire spells? I say "nay" to that! Nay, I say!
I didn't say we should add realism, im just replying to the western feminist idea that female representation in fantasy anime world should be realistic As for the Amazonians, they're only one tribe (assuming they're even real) it's not like most of the world nations have female soldiers in abundance
Ah, my mistake lol. Yeah, I can hear the tree if this got popular. Also, there should be more amazonian in gaming. For uh... diversity....and science. Mostly science.
Here's the problem: While you soy boy's are fighting for the equality of video game characters, women don't have to sign up for the draft in the real world. You cucks do. "How come men aren't depicted as being just as good at motherhood as women? Men raise children by themselves all the time. Give them realistic maternity clothes. DDDDEEEERRRRPPPP!!!!!!!
Funny how these Sjw hypocrites only want realistic female representation when it comes to clothes, but don't care about realism when it comes to cabapilities, cause realism dictates that there should be very few (or none) of the females in the battlefield due to strength limitations, let alone carrying swords that are twice their size, but hypocrites only care about politics not realism
more detail: Code of Princess (3ds): original. Code of Princess (steam): port only. w/o anything new. Code of Princess EX (NS): balance patch and bug fix. Code of Princess EX (steam): port only. w/o anything new.
it plays really close to guardian heroes on sega saturn, only reason i bought this game. not a bad game, but the original on 3DS was short, and online multiplayer died stupid fast. wonder if the game would've done better without the main girl in her almost nothing outfit being right on the damn cover, there's a good 2 dozen characters and every enemy and boss is playable also. wonder if they fixed the stupid rare item drops and drops that were ONLY available through co-op missions (needed 2 players minimum) and some were from PVP, which was unbalanced as hell on 3DS. tldr, short game you'll be done in a day or two, tried to be guardian heroes and failed i'll try this EX version and see if it's better or worse.
you can solo co-op missions to get those things. you can fill those blank entries with useless CPU too. those 6 or 7 items from pvp cant be obtained but there are fake version with same attr. in shop. I heard that the old 3ds version is just a burst spamming game. now its better but still way too broken as a 2d act. even those Marvelous made 2d act like psp Ikkitลsen and Senrankagura are much much better than this,
bleeh pass i thought this was like the dungeon and dragons arcade or Knights of the rounds but its not even close to both however the smeagols probably might like this
Yeah, and I don't like the mix of 3D graphics, "kinda" HD backgrounds, pixel art... The whole thing looks inconsistent and there's no art direction. Old games actually looked better than that.
i didnt long last 1 hour you cant move freely like any beat em up, the gameplay its slow af playing with the keyboard its a nightmare you cant change the settings i was forced to use the controller
ikr quite tough playing alone since you only have 1 life and in later stages they cant kill you instantly, still remember the many quarters wasted playing the tower of doom
only decent time filling is doing the ex missions and co-op (dunno how it is on this version only played on 3DS) and maybe levelling the other characters
meh sir, nope with the graphic. what did they say this kind of graphic? digitized graphics? the environment feels not alive. maybe because this is port from 3ds, they not added anything new for this version.
i give it a try and hell no its awful, the gameplay is slow and you can move freely like any beat em up not even with a half naked thots would make me continue playing this

I can almost swear that there are more male characters who are half naked than female ones, and there are many female characters who wear full armor suits, so stop it with the white knight sjw lie that the standard male clothes are full armor cuz you ain't gonna get laid because of it, at best you'll get a pat on the head by your feminist masters
