There's a fix for the insta-crash that others have described for version 1.71, I experienced it too. After unpacking, the "Crusader Kings 3" game folder may be inside a parent folder or two named after the rar file. Something like "Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Editionblahblahblah". Replace those folder names with "CK3" and for some reason the game stops crashing.
hey guys i figured out how to make the dlc work. step 1 you have to go to file location of your game then go back once then find binaries. step 2 is go to the original file you downloaded after you unzipped it and remove the contents of codex to the binaries file in step 1. just replace the files. step 3(i dont know if this one was nesecery) go to file location of your game and find launcher file.step 4 click on launcher settings and replace "steam" with "pdx".step 5 open dowser file inside launcher file and then close it
HOW TO LAUNCH THE GAME The game can be launched by clicking on "ck3.exe" NOT dowser.
HOW TO USE DLC In order to launch the game with dlcs you must first go into youe game folder and click on a folder called "launcher" open the file called "launcher-settings.json" with any text editor and find "distPlatform": "steam" and change it from "steam" to either gog or pdx, override the original file and then open dowser select the dlc's of your choice and then close dowser and launch the game as stated on the previous step.
HOW TO USE mods
make sure you are logged in the launcher and paradox plaza
Good game. If you want to use mods, put them in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod it should be a folder and a .mod file with the same name as the folder. Then disconnect your internet and close steam (might not be needed, but better safe than sorry) and go to into launcher\ in the game files and start dowser.exe you can't start the game from there, but you can change the mods, just create a new playset and add the mods you want. Alternately, edit the dlc_load.json (in the same directory as he mod folder) manually. I tested this with elder kings 2 v0.10.3 downloaded from nexus mods, and it works for me.
The DLC seems to be missing the throne room feature for whatever reason? Like every other feature but the throne room is intact. Not sure if this is because it was not in this update or if it was an error in the creation of the crack but regardless would like it to be fixed.
When you open .iso file there should be a folder named "RUNE", which contains folders "binaries" and "game", all you have to do is to copy/replace those contained files to their corresponding folders.
having difficulties playing vc3, eu4, hoi4? this game is perfect for you, isn't too much complicated than those, but still get the joy of strategy game without havibng headache
Alright, so, I've downloaded everything, game works, no issue. Only problem is that when the dlcs don't work. When I go to the dowser and see what's happening, it hits me with "Cannot verify ownership of DLC," or whatever. Anyway to work around this so I can play the full game?
I can't use the launcher to load mods, it got some problems when I use launcher to start it, but no problem when I just start the ck3.exe, without launcher.
Anyone knows why it crashes randomly after 1-2 hour of gameplay? It doesn't even give any error message, the whole game just closes by itself. Singleplayer only btw
Hi, I recently downloaded the game but I do not have any .exe in my main folders, just the read me and various internet link. I can find a ck3.exe in the folder "binaries" but when I click it crash within seconds. Has anyone some clues about what issues I might be experiencing?
Somehow I can't make the mod works anymore, at least from Paradox and the launcher. Besides the steam -> gog change that needs to be made. Is there anything else to make mods work at all?
No worries, some peeps already requested for the update on the request page some time ago. It will probably update today or tomorrow, depending on the scene groups.
Issue solved. Who ever cracked this version didn't have DLCs so the ...\game\dlc folder was empty. To solve the issue, just copy and paste the DLC files from the last version you have (if you kept it) to the current latest version of crack. I could probably create a download link, but beware. DLCs are most likely outdated in content.
Could you please provide the download link for the DLCs? This kinda sucks, the title said all dlcs and I was hoping to play around with Northern Lords Mechanics.
Something appears to be missing… The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire. well that's what it says do i need somekind of vpn or smth? if so can you recommend me one?
oh, I removed it because I wasn't sure if it was helping anyone because no one was giving me response if it's working or not, yet I saw over 200 downloads
Didn't download it but im gonna go on a hunch and say its working. When it works people just go about their business, only when it doesnt do people complain, kinda sad but its the way of the world. Bottom point is, if it is not bothering you, i say keep the download up. And thank you for trying to help folks
Maybe because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "RUNE" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)
Is the game any good now? Also for people having issues, I recommend buying PDX games and pirating the DLCs. Base game is often 80% off very early. Makes your life easier with mods as well.
The "issues" like editing the launcher settings properly shouldn't be a problem since it's what's expected when you're pirating. For the mods, they are not really that complicated to manually add although ck3 is a bit more tedious since you also need the .mod file and makes sure it has the correct path. The only reason I would give anyone to buy the base game on steam is for them to avoid stability issues. Idk why (maybe it's because this ck3 release is pre-installed) but somehow my pc runs Ac Unity and witcher 3 smoother than this release.
I don't know if I did anything wrong, but when I downloaded the game and copied the entire RUN folder to the game folder and after running the launcher, the DLC still doesn't turn on and I still don't know how to fix it?
Update: I finally opened all the DLC packs. The reason is that at first I edited the "launchersetting" file from "steam" to "pdx" so when I entered the game it didn't have DLC. Now I tried not to edit the "launchersetting" file and leave it as default and then add the game to Steam and click play so the DLC packages will appear (sorry because this is google translation so please understand)
Run dowser.exe in the launcher folder with admin rights. The game should load up with your installed mods. Atleast that is how it solved the problem for me.
What am I doing wrong? I keep getting an invalid Json parse error when trying to launch from dowser. "distPlatform": "distPlatform": "pdx", "distPlatform": "distPlatform": "steam",
neither of those work. My install game precracked, game loads fine, all DLC, etc... For some reason I cannot get this to launch. I have all files extracted into
"distPlatform": "pdx", "gameDataPath": "%USER_DOCUMENTS%/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III", Steam is default, but I cannot load it through steam. I messed up the file edit and had double inputs of displatform. That was crashing the launcher. Now I need to sort out how to get this working with steam, so I can use mods. I will switch back to the steam for launch and then hopefully figure it out.
Because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "RUNE" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)
The game isn't working from this install because some files are not installing properly or something. I tried launching it yesterday, with virus defender off and everything while installing and it just didn't work.
Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
I see, thank you for your explanation. Maybe next time you can separate the crack and the installer, and put the instruction the turn off AV before cracking.
If you haven't install the reddist runtime the game wont work, so you need to install em first. Just Search in google, "Reddist All In One" i always use the one that's provided by Tech Power Up. Just Extract the Files and run the Bat files to install all of em. Then you should install direct x as well. hope that helps
there's actually a mod made by community, just look up for CK3 Spolszczenie, i've used it for a long time, sometimes it still shows english texts especially when using some other mods as you would expect, but if you don't mind it then it's fine
you can look up for Polish translation mod. As far as I know, the game come out in English language with option in some others language but I never see Polish language in the option
Oh and you can't use the mod that you downloaded using STEAM without making some change before it show up in the game launcher. For tutorial for this, you can look up "using mod non steam download CK3"
Check if the mod you want to use is compatible with your current game version. You can check your current game version in the main screen of the game, probaly on lower left (if I'm not mistaken)
On the folder you downloaded the game there is a "launcher" folder, in it you have a file named "dowser", that's the launcher. Open the launcher and probably you won't have the mods folder prepared yet. So in "Playsets"/"Installed Mods" select the option "Publish Mod". Put all the information required and after doing it a folder called "mod" will appear in Documents > Paradox Interactive > Crusader Kings III > mod.
Then go back to the launcher and create a playset with the mods you downloaded. Remember to check if they are activated (I also recommend learning about the load order of mods), anyway, just launch the game and have fun ^^
Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
It will crashed when I started from the launcher, and I'll rename the filed to Crusader Kings III, and it still can't work, it will crushed when the menu theme music started for a while.
It seems that "1359040=Crusader Kings III: Expansion Pass" dlc don't appear down on the left screen on main menu others appear enable only the Expansion Pass dlc missing or is not enable? Can anyone could confirm or fix this issue?
They don't do that. Wanted to play the After the End mod but it was outdated... then they updated for 1.8.1, now I have to wait for the game torrent to update to 1.8.1... figures
What settings are there to change? When you try to extract the file it shows an error. Obviously the files are corrupted which is why the game i crashing for everyone.
For some reason, the multiplayer checksum for the cracked version is different to that of the normal version, preventing my friend from playing with me. The steam vanilla checksum is d5a8 The IGG checksum is c4de
If you have received this warning on your PC, it means that there was a malfunction in your system operation. Error code "0x0000142" is one of the issues that users who fucked up their OS's files get as a result of incorrect or failed installation or uninstallation of software that may have left invalid entries in system elements.
So, stop messing up your OS and don't get that kind of messages anymore. Simple as that.
Just because you could install ten programmes and they seemed to run correctly doesn't mean they ran correctly and does not either you're now an IT expert. You're obviously not.
Maybe you find yourself a helping hand of someone who knows how to really install and uninstall software correctly. You messed up your OS. Find someone who fixes it. Nobody anonymous on the internet can do that for ye, as nobody knows your hardware, your software, your OS configs and all the malware you may have collected and which system components you have already broken before your OS ceased to function as it did right now. But hey, the good news is, it's nothing worse. 😅👉👺
Mods are not working, please help? Tried it with manual downloand=Didnt worked. Tried it with log in and download mods from Paradox Plaza=Still didnt work.

Found the solution: Rename the folder the game is in! It usually is something like this: ...\Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.5.1.1\Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.5.1.1\Crusader Kings III Move the "Crusader Kings III" folder to root aka C:\Crusader Kings III or Rename the Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.5.1.1 folder to something like CK si the path to game is: ...\ck\ck\Crusader Kings III
my game keeps crashing after i try to launch it from the launcher. There is also a warning on the right site saying the last game session was played on an other version (1.5.0.2) since i tried updating

For those crashing on new game - check your dowser.exe (launcher), you're probably loading in old mods that are no longer compatible, crashing your game. Making a new playset with no mods in it will fix it. Don't forget to enable the playset on the home screen.
I managed to enable mods in dowser, but it doesn't work in-game. Whether I play from ck3.exe or dowser, it doesn't work, there's no mods menu inside the game.
Holy god I spent so fucking long trying to get the dlc to work, deadass like 3 or 4 hours, but we got there boys. We got there. Unfortunately I don't exactly know what I did that caused it to start working cuz I did a lot of shit, most of which probably didn't help and I can't really remember it now. Used the CK3 topic on CS.RIN.RU, page 30 and the most recent pages seemed the most relevant to my struggle but idk what to tell you past that. You can make it happen if you're determined I guess lol.
If you used this game crack version, you shouldn't have the DLCs because this one lacks the DLC files. For this crack, you needed to find someone who had the DLC files that should be located in Crusader Kings III\game\dlc folder. I for example had the one's from 1.3.1 which are mostly fine. I made a download link for them. If you got it to work without actually getting the files in there, I am suspicious if your game actually loaded them, apart from maybe saying you have them. I used this 1.4.2 download when it came out, it was saying I owned the DLCs but like I said, it didn't have them in the files from which to load them.
if the dlc files didnt come with the igg version I probably used some from CS.RIN.RU. Nigga I'm not retarded (maybe a little bit actually tho) I did this basically all because I wanted the abbasids court cosmetics because I think the veil is hot lol. Made sure northern lords capes were there as well as other cosmetics and heard the new chanting viking music shit while I was testing something as a viking dude. Dlc files on its own wasn't working and I had to edit some steam.emus or whatever too, and maybe do other things or maybe not idk, like I said I don't really remember.

Thanks man. I tried putting them in the DLC folder and saw in the launcher it says cant verify ownership of the DLC. I enabled them anyways. Fired up a Viking campaign but it seems that DLCs are not working
I've done a test to see if they actually work or not, and they seem to be working. The thing is, these DLCs came with 1.3.1 crack so I expected outdated issues which would carry over in new version and said about it in a post a month ago. I did a simple test, couldn't be bothered to do a full proper test because I modded my game start and alot of things but I did see which you will also see in the screenshot is that the character look editor (barber icon) when I enable TNL DLC, cloaks option appears in there and disappears once I disable TNL DLC. I forgot to screenshot this but the same thing was happening with TNL clothes, disappears in selection when DLC off, appears when DLC on. I also don't play campaigns because I like doing my own shit so I replaced history start with 101 years so I don't have any campaign. And to add something, while TNL DLC was off, it wouldn't let me continue playing the previous save which proves a point that the DLCs although they might be broken do still load and some things will work.
You are doing gods work here xD With all the fuse about your download i actually downloaded the game and tried your link just to see if we were both wrong, we were not ;)
Ok i figured it our. Open steam and buy the game. Eeee... On open steam go to your library in the bottom left corner you have a option to add game from outside the steam do it with ck3 when your done find it and right click on in select properties and in launch options type -debug_mode or paste it from here I don't care and your done just start the game and enjoy chaos that your about to create.
or... you go to the cracked version, find ck3.exe in the binary and then create a shortcut of ck3.exe, go to properties and add " -debug_mode" in the target after the path after you do that, every time you run ck3 through that shortcut, you will get console/debug tools
how do i start the game of the newest download version? There's no ck3.exe or anything. Am I doing something wrong? But thanks for delivering the crack anyways :D
updating with cracked games is as simple as deleting old game and placing the newly downloaded one in place of last, some are installed using software so then you uninstall the old and install the new one with the software it comes with
I had the same problem the way I fixed this is by going to the (launcher-installer-windows.msi) a setup will show up , click (repair) , then redo the pdx thing after that it will work
How do I update it could u please help me regarding this. I have installed your files just now what should I do...should I take single-single folder and replace the contents with with your files?
Link if disqus direct you to different page (just remove the space near .com) https://drive.google. com/drive/folders/1xxDc1JH7go-MrwzgyAZygbelwSGp5UCT?usp=sharing
i'm sure he meant well but do not follow lel's advice... sort of. you should go to launcher settings and change it from "steam" to "gog" this is ONLY to unlock mods (which can be downloaded from paradox mods forum) and to unlock dlcs, please note this method works in all previous and future versions of CK3 (which there will be many.. as you'll find out) to launch the game you should go into directory usually C:\Games\Crusader Kings 3\binaries or wherever you installing, and youre looking for ck3.exe this is the file that you will use to actually run the game, i would recommend creating a shortcut to desktop from this file. feel free to message me if you require additional help.
Did you go to Crusader Kings III\launcher and make sure that the line of text in launcher settings is changed from distplatform "Steam" to distplatform "pdx". Also make sure that you have your antivirus turned off because of false positives and your crack applied.
For those of you who want mods. Go to launcher settings that can be located in your CK3 file, open it with notepad, and change the distplatform "Steam" to distplatform "pdx". Then go to skymods crusader kings 3, and dawnload your wanted mod. Then go to documents/paradox interactive/ck3, and open up mods. If you dont have a mod folder, you will have to create it VIA launcher (If you do not know how to do this, ask me). Put your 2 dawnloaded mod files in the mod foldier. Open up launcher, activate your mod, and click play. Always open up launcher by running on administrator!
Thank you for assisting us smallbrains bro Also, for anyone here, I found a pretty epic site which lets you download workshop mods and with some very mild file fuckery you can get them working in CK3 with the method above, very cool: https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/ If anybody needs/wants it I'll tell you specifically how to do it
Open up launcher, and click on on all installed mods, afterwards click on mod tools and click on create mod. Enter the name, it can be whatever you want it to be. On version type in whatever version of CK3 you are using.. Your directory is supposed to be mod/NAMEOFYOURMOD Click create mod.. Go to documents, and your mod folder is supposed to be there.
Go to playset and click add more mods, after you have added a mod to your mods foldier. Also, when unpacking a skymod mod, there is a descriptor and a foldier. Open up the descriptor with notepad, and make sure the path is path="mod/NAMEOFTHEMODFOLDIER"
Make sure you did all the things ive said. Otherwise, this error never happened to me, except when i did not run on admin. Try to reinstall and try again if nothing works.
Does anyone know how to fix this error? I've done multiple clean re-installs and I still get this error on my dowser.exe. When I edit my launcher-settings file, and replace "steam" with "pdx", my launcher refuses to start and gives me a "general error.", thus I must renistall all over again just to get the same "api failed to initialize" / "steam communication error". I have applied the crack, and running basic CK3.exe (without the launcher) works PERFECTLY fine but I cannot run the launcher. Does anyone know a fix?
Make sure to run the launch as admin. Also, you seem to not have playsets, do you know how to fix that? I'm pretty sure playsets are suppose to be right under "resume" and "play"
you should go to launcher settings and change it from "steam" to "gog" this is ONLY to unlock mods (which can be downloaded from paradox mods forum) and to unlock dlcs, please note this method works in all previous and future versions of CK3 (which there will be many.. as you'll find out) to launch the game you should go into directory usually C:\Games\Crusader Kings 3\binaries or wherever you installing, and youre looking for ck3.exe this is the file that you will use to actually run the game, i would recommend creating a shortcut to desktop from this file.
Make sure the content of your game is located in something like Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.3.1\binaries instead of Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.3.1\CrusaderKingsIII\binaries. I'm assuming that the game's looking for data to load from Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.3.1 finds nothing and then closes itself as the content is in the subfolder CrusaderKingsIII, don't know how to explain this well but just try it.
This is a working .mod folder example version="2.64" tags={ "Historical" "Portraits" "Graphics" } name="Community Flavor Pack" picture="thumbnail.png" supported_version="1.3.1" path="C:/Users/Admin/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/FlavorPack" remote_file_id="2220098919"
for A It loading for 6 months ( no awnser ) and for B I have a error message activate the debug mode is totally IMPOSSIBLE or this is the most difficult things I ever done in my life
There are two ways to open -debug mode A. Open your launcher (dowser) Click “Game Settings” Scroll down and you will find “Open game in Debug Mode” B. Make a shortcut for “dowser.exe” Right click shortcut and select “properties” Inside Target put (“-debug_mode”) outside of the directory path. Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Crusader Kings III Northern Lords\launcher\dowser.exe" -debug_mode
In case you didn't know, you don't need to use the launcher to enable debug mode. If you want to specifically enable it from the launcher, then ignore this reply.
Create a shortcut for the game executable (it is located in binaries\ck3.exe within your install directory).
Right click on the shortcut and select properties. There should be a text field named Target, which contains the address leading to the executable.
The address in the Target field is placed inside quotation marks. Add the string -debug_mode on the end of the address outside the quotation marks.
Copy your http://Mod.zip file inside the folder you created (The whole zip file not extrct)
Copy the descriptor.mod and paste it outside. (you probably know what I mean)
Rename it (the folder you named at first step) :P
Edit the .mod file and add Example: archive="C:/Users/Admin/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/undress/http://2217904336_undress.zip" and start dowser!
Open your launcher (dowser) Go to Playsets and click "Initial playset" and there you can find create new playset button. To add mods click add more mods button.
from experience no, the previous and possibly future versions will all be steam, but you dont have to worry or care about that, just go to the insallation directory and change in launcher_settings the line distplatform "Steam" to distplatform "gog"
the mod bronze Age can't be launched with this downloads ? In the launcher it say the mod is for 1.2, a buddy told me that there is a way in the launcher to turn a game to older version (in order to still be able to use old save games), is it correct ?
The link to the 1.3.1 patch in the comments, while successful at patching the game to 1.3.1, is missing files that are found in IGG's 1.3 link (steam_emu.ini for example). This is probably why people are having issues getting the DLC to load. What I had to do was: First delete all files from previous install first if you have any. Then install the 1.3 version from IGG, making sure to click the box to copy the contents of the CODEX folder to the install directory. Then overwrite with the game files from the link to the 1.3.1 version in the comments. Then change the distPlatform line from "steam" to "gog" in launcher-settings.json in the launcher folder. Then change DLCUnlockall=0 to DLCUnlockall=1 in steam_emu.ini. Then launch dowser.exe as administrator, and check so that the DLC is set to load (it was so by default). Then I could launch the game and have the DLC being loaded, I can see the decisions, men at arms, legacies etc. that come with Northern Lords. I'm sure there's a more efficient way to go about it, but this worked for me.
Hm I did what you did, and I still don't get the DLC to load. The decisions, men at arms, new legacies etc. that come with the Northern Lords DLC are missing, I simply cannot see them in game like in your screenshots. Reinstalled and deleted files from /documents/... from a previous install, and obviously playing as a character that would be affected by the DLC, still nada. Any other ideas?
Make sure you add 1303183 = Crusader Kings III: Northern Lords To the end of your steam_enu.ini file located in the binaries folder for the DLC to load. If you don''t have that file located in the binaries folder then you need for find a ck3 crack.
first just download and unrar like you normally do, then from the main folder go to the "launcher" folder and find "launcher-settings.json" (open it with notepad or notepad++)
third, from the same folder open dowser.exe as administrator (you have to do this everytime you want to play) you can see the dlc are enable and you can even play multiplayer with it
I had constant border glow bug. It's really game breaking for me. Do you know the fix or workaround? I heard about erasing the whole border business with Map editor. But how can I do that with pirated version?
hey the new update 1.3.1 is up, but igg havent updated it yet, so I'll give you the link instead pixeldrain(dot)com/u/V55HLroe change "(dot)" with "." to play the game you dont need to patch anything, all you need before play is, from main folder open folder called "launcher" open file "launcher-settings.json" with notepad, then change : "distPlatform": "steam", to "distPlatform": "gog", then save file, to open the launcher just run "dowser.exe" as administration all dlc works, and multiplayer works as well
not to sound like a piece of poop but I don't feel like downloading games at 400KB/s from an unknown (to me atleast) source so im just going to wait, but thank you for trying to help (assuming it isnt a malicious link)
third, from the same folder open dowser.exe as administrator (you have to do this everytime you want to play) you can see the dlc are enable and you can even play multiplayer with it it works for me
Said in game request it was updated the day before 1.3.1 came out, unclear if it actually updated to that version, probably not. (1.3.0 has game breaking bug). Not feeling like trying out game with that bug.
Wondering, someone has been able to make mods work? Fixed the start of the game already and the launcher, but seems the launcher doesn't detect the mod folder nor the decriptors or any file at all.
just for sharing infromation for using DLC first, open the main game folder, there is another folder called "launcher"... in there, there's a file named "launcher-settings.json"... you have to edit this file with a notepad/ text editor, the line named "distPlatform" : "steam"... change "steam" to "gog" second, go to your binaries folder and open steam_emu.ini with notepad and find this DLCUnlockall=0 and change to DLCUnlockall=1 if you want to use the launcher, from the main folder open folder called "launcher" and run dowser.exe run as administrator(you have to do this everytime you want to use launcher) it works for me
you should go back to the main folder first, then open "binaries folder" the file should be there. if not, check your antivirus. it might be deleted by your antivirus
I have deleted Crusader Kings III folder in the documents folder and i changed DLCUnlockall=0 to DLCUnlockall=1 in steam_emu.ini in binaries folder. So now works. Thanks.
I have problems with the launcher, it marks a red triangle and can't start the game. I tried changing the "distPlatform" line to gog and pdx without results. I can start the game normally from the binaries folder though, any help?
My game crashes on startup. The error log says that it could not find some localization file (localization/english/event_localization/councillor_task_events/councillor_spouse_events/councillor_spouse_diplomacy_events_l_english.yml). I looked in the files and it's there. Somehow when the executable is run, it can't access it. I took the whole localization folder out, and tried running the game. This time, it didn't crash! But all the text was messed up (underscores instead of spaces). Can anyone help with this?
i can't start the game it gives me 0xc00005 error how to fix it guys happened to me in installing the latest patch in ck 2 i fixed it but not installing the patch lol any ideas how to fix it in ck3 ?
optional: just create "mod" folder if it doesn't exist
Open game launcher named "dowser.exe" located at install directory then "launcher" folder
Click the "Mods" category in the launcher, then add the mod you want. Make sure it is enabled.
Close the launcher.
Open the "Ck3.exe" located in the install directory then "binaries" folder
Play the game. Have fun!
it should be indicated in the game menu beside the game version number that your game is now "modified". Note: Alternatively, you can just follow what user Albright said below... How to open the console:
Create a shortcut of the "Ck3.exe" file located at the install directory then "binaries" folder
Right-click the "Ck3.exe" shortcut and click Properties.
Replace the Target value to this: "D:\Games\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe" -debug_mode or just add "-debug_mode" (without ") to the end of the Target value
Click apply, open the game. Note: Debug mode should now be enabled.
Open your save or play
Click this ` or ~ on your keyboard and console should now open.
It's already installed. You just extract it and play it from the 'ck3.exe' in the binaries folder. You won't lose your saves as they are saved in your documents.
i have downloaded the game and made the language change thing yet the game still crashes so should I just wait for the next patch or there is something else i have to change
Actually, found the easiest way ever for mods: Just change the file (CK3_INSTALL_DIR)/launcher/launcher-settings.json change line "distPlatform": "steam", to "distPlatform": "gog", And run the launcher normally! Can launch the game within it too.
run the launcher normally ( dowser.exe in the (CK3_INSTALL)/launcher directory )
change your mod settings as you wish
close the launcher
run binaries/ck3.exe
your mods should be loaded
( to make sure you can check dlc_load.json which is in the "(USER_FOLDER)/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III" directory ) and this way you can use all the launcher mod organization features like playsets and such
does anyone knows how to open the console in this version ? this kind of knowledge is essential in order to fulfil my darkest schemes. i would really appreciate. please pretty please.
HEY IGG GAMES! UPDATE THIS RIGHT AWAY TO 1.2.2 OR I'LL NO LONGER DOWNLOAD FREE STUFF FROM YOUR WEBSITE! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY MY CLICK! THIS IS AN ULTIMATUM!
You can, but it's somewhat involved seeing as the launcher doesn't work anymore. I hope they crack it someday. But there is a manual way to use mods: You need to add the mods you want to the file (USERNAME_FOLDER)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\dlc_load.json There's a few steps required beforehand also. To start off with, let's assume you have a manual download of your mod from somewhere. This is usually a zip file with some folders and the special file descriptor.mod. You can also currently get these with a manual download from the paradox interactive website. It doesn't require that you own the game, curiously, you merely need to be logged in and possibly have a steam account linked. But there are other ways to get mods. As an example, let's install a mod called Community Title Project which you can get from here: https://github.com/Gr770/CK3-Community-Title-Project/archive/master.zip
Now extract it to (USERNAME_FOLDER)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod(MOD_NAME) Specifically extract it such that there is a file at the path mod(MOD_NAME)\descriptor.mod In this case the zip file already has a folder with the mod name so it will be like this: mod\CK3-Community-Title-Project-master\descriptor.mod
rename the folder from 'CK3-Community-Title-Project-master' to 'CTP'
copy descriptor.mod and call it CTP.mod then move the copy into the parent 'mod' folder.
edit dlc_load.json (full path above) to look like the following: {"enabled_mods":["mod/CTP.mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]} 4a. (note) the path for the *.mod file should use forward slashes (even on windows) and is relative to (USERNAME_FOLDER)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III 4b. (optional) if you have other mods to enable, just add it to the list like so: {"enabled_mods":["mod/CTP.mod","mod/another_mod.mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]} 4c. (optional) to disable mods again, change the file back to the following: {"enabled_mods":[],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
launch the game with ck3.exe in the (CK3_INSTALL_FOLDER)\binaries folder
Profit! 6a. If all goes well, you should see at the bottom right hand of the screen the text: MP Checksum: d3e7 (modified) 6b. that's what game version 1.2.1 says. Future versions may print something else. Basically just check that some of the rulers in the new game menu have altered foreign language names. That's what this mod does. It's somewhat involved, so if anyone has questions, feel free to reply to this post. Additional details: If you understand the format of the *.mod files and the dlc_load.json file you can take any mod from anywhere and run it in ck3. Basically it's like this: there should be a (MOD_NAME).mod file in the Crusader Kings III\mod folder. inside of that file there will be a line like: path = "mod/(MOD_NAME)" The mod's name on that line doesn't have to be the same as in the name of the *.mod file, it merely points to the location of the folder with the mod's files, relative to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III. Technically you can change it to whatever you want as long as you also change the line similarly. then add it to dlc_load.json like so: {"enabled_mods":["mod/(MOD_NAME).mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]} and maybe add other mods like so: {"enabled_mods":["mod/(MOD_NAME).mod","mod/(ANOTHER_MOD_NAME).mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]} and to remove all mods: {"enabled_mods":[],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
Found out how to enable DLCs in 1.2.1. Edit the file Crusader.Kings.III.v1.2.1\binaries\SteamConfig.ini (make sure it's this SteamConfig.ini as there are several) For details see paste: https://pastebin.com/3qAEnd11
wow, i completely overlooked that, i always edit the file to show a different username :P first time it wasnt set to English by default, again, an Ali213 release so iit makes sense it'd be in Chinese instead)
Are all of these files safe and clean ? I mean im a bit paranoïac sometimes and this folder seem to have "files" a bit strange and not like others files i downloaded on this site tho.
Everything is tested and scanned before being uploaded, this website is virus free. If you get a trojan, it's false positive, like explained http://igg-games.com/virus-trojan.html.
Each time I try to launch it says I'm missing concrt140.dll, and to try to reinstall (which i've done), If I try to open in paradox it just says it failed, anyone having the same problem/figured out what's wrong?
Installing mods without the launcher is possible. In "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III" there is a file called "mods_registry.json", put the mod name and stuff in there to activate it normally. The mods themselves are intalled in "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod" folder.
Right-click your game's shortcut icon. Click on "properties" New window should pop up. In the "Shortcut" tab, you should find the text field next to: "Target: ", with an address written in quotations. To the right of this, type in: -debug_mode Hit "Apply" and then "Ok" Start the game using that same shortcut icon.
Spent over an hour after correct install, troubleshooting, trying to launch game with nothing but repeated errors; same as a lot of others here. Did every single little thing posted here & nothing worked. As much respect that is owed to this site for all the other games that work great, this one has been one of the most problematic. For myself & others disappointed & still wishing to play it, there is an " Ocean of Games " available on another com site where it was as simple as DL & play. No messing around, just DL, unpack & play. Works great. Just be careful not to fall for fakes, as there are quite a few of them. Hoping since not posting an actual link, that this is ok. Just put the pieces together for yourself.
Is one of the main reasons I tend not to use that site very often anymore. For those with issues here & not wanting to wait for an update that may or may not arrive soon, still better than nothing. Where did you see that version info, btw?
How can I insert the patch into the existing files without downloading the whole game? Will my existing campaign become obsolute or can i continue normally?
This version of crack seems sus, setup.exe got quickly flagged by windows defender (win10) as a serious threat (trojan) and got removed instantly (crashed the installer). Decided not to attempt the installation again until the new crack from scene group comes out that isn't from hoodlum.
there is none/no working properly, just delete it (shift delete is faster, has many files), save files aren't in the folder use a program like geek uninstaller if you want to clean up registry and folders
Yes, it is fixed in weird random way. I clicked ck3.exe a dozen time and one of them is working. But make sure you deleted all of the crash game report on Crusader Kings 3 directory, every single crash created a 60 MB report
you've been around long enough to know not to link other sites, also you didn't even link the site that they stole it from, they apparently couldn't bother to re-upload with a different password
Sure, you can start a seduction scheme against your daughter and get in her panties without any problem. The scheme gets a success penalty for her being your daughter but you can still do that. You can even legalize incestuos relationships, so there's that
To fix DLC not being able to verify, go to the launcher folder, open the launcher-settings file, look for the "distPlatform" line and change it from steam to gog. After that open the launcher using the dowser file in the launcher folder.

for me when i launch it it crashes tried administrator updating nvidia uinstalling games reinstalling game and nothing anybody has some good link where it doesn't crashes
My game crashes right after launch I've: -updated my drivers -installed newest version of Visual C++ -Renamed the folder -Run as administrator -Unpacked it again -Redownloaded Does someone has some other tips or should I hope that some future update will fix the problem?

Add Paradox Launcher as excluded app on windows defender. Launcher default installation folder is C:\Users\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2.2020.12
Create a shortcut (from the CK3.exe file, not the Paradox launcher one). Right-click on the shortcut, properties, and add the -debug_mode tag in the 'target' line of the shortcut tab.
Seems to be a syntax error. Try leaving a space between the last quote marks and the debug command. Like this: ck3.exe" -debug_mode (it looks like this in your screenshot: ck3.exe"-debug_mode).
Add Paradox Launcher as excluded app on windows defender. Launcher default installation folder is C:\Users\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2.2020.12
To active mod correctly, follow 3 steps: step 1 : create folder mod in ..\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III -> unzip mod in mod folder -> keep descriptor.mod in mod folder and put other files in new folder in mod folder too ( you should rename file . mod and folder for better mod management in the future ). step 2 . Open file.mod and add new line : archive="mod/< name of mod folder >" for example archive="mod/better_GUI" step 3 : in folder launcher, change " steam " to "gog" in launcher-settings.json, open dowser.exe to open launcher menu, u can add and enable mods manually there and press play. it worked great for me. if you want to enable console command , open launcher-settings.json, change file from "exeArgs": [ "-gdpr-compliant] to "exeArgs": [ "-gdpr-compliant-debug_mode" ]
For me in the mod section of the launcher it just has two buttons of "browse mods" and "mod tools". And in step one does that mean a new folder in /mod or in /< name of mod folder>, and absolutely all of the files except descriptor? So that descriptor.mod is in a folder entirely by itself?
anywhere after name i guess. my file.mod looks like this : version="1.*" tags={ "Graphics" "Fixes" } name="Better UI Scaling" supported_version="1.0.3" remote_file_id="2217509277" archive="mod/better GUI"
You don't. Save files are almost always incompatible after update. You shouldn't update your game when you have a gameplay in progress. You can do that but you should expect incompatibility and random fuckery if you do so.
Download the mod(s) you want manually then extract them (with WinRaR/7zip/WinZip) into documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings III/mod. If you dont have a mod folder there, create it and place the mods inside. Then activate the mods in the launcher.
Launcher don't seem to work on cracked version tho. An alternative way is to copy the entire ck3 folder in your disk, and replace all the vanilla files with the modded files. It works for me for princes of darkness.
For those on 7, if you have a copy of WOW you can just dump the .dll files from there into a couple of folders (because wow has dx12 for windows 7) and it'll launch
again, i just copied all of the .dll files from the retail folder of my copy of world of warcraft, but i'm pretty sure these specifically are the ones that make it run https://prnt.sc/uh0t0g , i ended up dumping them in the main ck3 folder and in ck3/binaries
Anyone that is crashing on startup. Rename the Crusader Kings 3 folders from "Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.0.3" to "Crusader.Kings.III" Basicly the folder name too long. And enjoy!
Hey guys i´ve got a problem. After downloading the 1.0.3 version i installed it, set up the mods with dowser and wanted to launch it with CK3.exe, says the same thing as when i do it with dowser and that is : PARADOX CRASH REPORTER blah blah blah... Anyone who can help me?
You must launch the game with cK3 which is in the binaries folder and not dowser.exe which is in the launcher folder. You can also change the launcher-settings.json by replacing the steam of dist platform by gog making the dowser.exe work If I missunderstand sorry
add ''-debug_mode'' (remove quotes so it reads -debug_mode) by right clicking on the desktop shortcut and selecting properties if you installed the game, or make a shortcut of the ck3.exe and add it to the shortcut then launch the game via that shortcut if you unzipped the game
what I did to get it in debug mode: Create a .txt file (call it whatever, I called it "0Debug" so it was at the top of the folder) in the same folder as your ck3.exe (binaries folder), and in that .txt file write: start ck3.exe -debug_mode Save the file, then change the ".txt" in the file name to ".bat", double click it, and you should be good.
chill dude im just pointing it out cos i know a website where they constanlty updated the game 1-3 hour after the update released ( sad total war warhammer 2 IGG ) and you can just download it once ( no need to download multiple patch ) i still go to IGG for some update patch but when im downloading a main game files i go somwhere else, after my first website to dl game which is full of ads IGG is heaven but then i found my third website so yeah... i wont say the website name though i respect igg dev cos ive been here for a long time.
go to your documents / paradox interactice / crusader kings 3
create folder "mod"
unzip mod into the folder, with the discriptor.mod in the "mod" folder and the other mod files in their subfolder with the same name as the .mod file.
go to the launcher directory in CK3
open the launcher... json file, look for steam, change to gog 6 open launcher with the dowser.exe file if your mod does NOT show up with the other mods, check if you can add it manually in the launcher "manage mods" "add mod".. take a loot around. The launcher works perfectly and can manage mods if handled properly.
i did this, renamed the descriptor.mod files of some mods i installed. i also put the rest of the files in a subfolder named after the renamed descriptor files. i go to launcher, everything seems ok, i run the game and they don't show up... idk what am i doing wrong
he mean the launcher-settings.json file inside the launcher folder. inside this file there is a dist plaform line with steam writen at the end. replace the steam by gog and dowser.exe work perfectly fine. you can even launch the game by it
i seem to have trouble, can you bee more specific on exactly how to edit the .mod file. the mod doesnt seem to be working when i play the game, it shows up in the launcher so maybe the .mod file is just configured incorrectly.
because in .mod file doesn't have specific path to its content. it just has id for remote file. you can make it run by adding new code line : archive="mod/< name of folder you keep mod content > ". It worked greatly
Can anyone tell me if the update 1.0.3 is downloadable or its just 1.0.2 still for links cause i downloaded from megaup that someone said was 1.0.3 but wasn't
you manualy download them and exract the rar inside the "game" folder. Be cautious because it's a real pain in the a** to remove them. the best way still remain the paradox account but well it remain your choice.
First thing, you probably try to lauch the game by the dowser but that's an error. The dowser.exe is only here to enable the mod. to lauch the game you only have to close the dowser.Exe and launch the cK3.exe in the binaries folder. If you truly want to use the dowser, then open the "launcher" folder, open the launcher-settings.json file and replace t distPlatform": "steam" by "distPlatform": "gog" Well if it doesn't work you can still just unzip the mod in the game folder but I don't recomend it because you can't use mod with the same file and when you want to remove them, 9 time out of 10 you can't because a file of the game as been replace. If none of this help you i'm sorry
If you want to enable the mod from the subscribe you need to lauch dowser.exe in the "launcher" folder. If you just want to quickly mod your game you can look at what I have written bellow
did you dowload it now or before the new upload i think version 1.0.3 is crashing and its not because of my pc since evryother 3d game with graphics on high works just fine
you will see this in Target : "D:\USER\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe"
Add debug_mode at the end of text. Example : "D:\USER\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe" -debug_mode Done, in game you can press the "`" button on your keyboard and voila the console command appear :)
I've experienced zero bugs in my time playing. I'd say I have around 50 hours clocked so far. I think they want it updated for mods but I don't use mods so I don't really care. The only thing I've noticed is there are a few typos in some text
You haven't even noticed them? Damn. One of the most idiotic bugs is possible outcomes of decisions changing depending on how you opened the option. This is most relevant to ransoms. If you ransom pops through pop-up, you can get the most money. Ransoming from court menu, can often get you much less money, and if you enter this option here, you'll get penalty for releasing for a hook. Reaching the same option from character menu will will give you yet some other set of options. Happens with random characters for no apparent reason. If you play an early start viking game, it's more than annoying.
For those who want to mod CK3 there is a very simple way. First go to https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/games/ck3?orderBy=desc&sortBy=best and log in your Paradox account. Subscribe to the mod you want. When this is done launch dowser.exe in the launcher folder. Log in to the same Paradox account use to subscribe and wait a little. Go to the mod section and see how the mod you subscribe to are present. Close the launcher, start the game with cK3.Exe and the mod are here If you want to launch the game by dowser.exe you simply have to open "launcher-settings.json" in the launcher folder and replace the "distPlatform": "steam" by "distPlatform": "gog" and it should work. Thank to the other for this information.
Several question. Are the mod enable in the laucher and not just instal? Did you check with a mode from the sema version to see if it's not simply a problem with the game/mod version? what do you mean by it does not show any mods as on? That you can't use them or do you exepect to see a list of the mod somewhere inside the game? If the mod are enable and that there is no problem with the version or compatibility then I can only tell you that I don't know. Hope it was usefull to you and sorry if it wasn't
I don't know if you or anyone encountered this. I tried your suggestion of subscribing to some mods through my mods.paradoxplaza account. But for some reason, it doesn't matter which mod version you choose. The launcher always installs the latest version. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks. :)
So you subscribe to the version you want and there is the little v sign after it? If so then try to create a playset with the mod version you wish for and all the other mod you want. Else I don't really know because I alway use the lastest one. Sorry if it's not helpfull
The Princes of Darkness mod, it's this amazing total conversion that let's you play as a vampire (Cainite) from the World of Darkness setting. The level of detail and amount of official lore is insane. It's really fun and I highly recommend you try it out, if you are willing to take on the curse of Caine that is. 🧛♂️
Anyone figured out how to verify DLC yet? They're only outfit packs, but its annoying me since they're checked but are "unverified" and won't show up in the game
as far as I know, even if the dlc in the launcher are not verified (this is because, being a cracked game, it cannot be connected to Steam), they are still usable. the 2 dlc currently present concern the clothes of the characters, so if I'm not mistaken, You should just go to the characters' barbershop to check.
Do you have notepad++? I used it to open the "launcher-settings.json" file and change the line of code that says "distPlatform": "steam", to "distPlatform": "pdx",
You just have to go in the binaries folder. You can lauch the game with cK3. The laucher that you speak of can be use to mod your game by subscribing with a paradox account on https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/games/ck3?orderBy=desc&sortBy=best and using this account with the laucher.
Right click the desktop shortcut, go down to properties, in the target box add debug_mode at the end. Then once you're ingame you press ~ to open the menu
does anyone know how to add immortal param is ? coz i really into it. i do research on dev diary, but it's only in general, i do need guidance, plz.....
it might be like ck2 name a file called mod in the documents>para>Ck3 and name a file mod their.. and put ur mod their. idk if it works dohe havent tried installing mods name it mod or just watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbngxHmo-60
yo I used to have this problem but I figured out a workaround where you press create a mod and you just make a separate mod with its own descriptor file and just drag the contents of the old mod into the new mod file you created and it should work in game lmk if this works for you
Unified Ireland, lost my heir in a holy crusade at Jerusalem, my queen just had a prince but somehow my marshal is winning the elections for the throne. 10/10 will play again.
unified croatia and even created empire of croatia by getting some other kingdoms and stuff, at that time my empress/queen was 73 years of age, every heir be it male or female had died, thought i would get some distant relative to inherit the throne but somehow my grandson, result of my daughter's n king of lotharingia, got it and unified both of them into single empire while i continued to play as duchy of bosnia- that distant relative i talked about, though i still got empire back by the time he was old i got bored and let it go on observer mode, had 5 emperors since, actually 6 but somehow 1 is missing and cant find them in close relative tabs, time does not make sense so is there any way to see previous ruler list? also princes of darkness mod is great try it out im playin that rn instead of base game
you have to launch the game in debug mode: go in binaries. spot ck3.exe rightclick -> send -> send to desktop. then go to desktop and right click the ck3 shortcut -> properties in the properties->shortcut tab find an input box named target which has a link after the quotation marks type debug_mode and press apply it should look like this: "....\ck3.exe" debug_mode then after you launch the game press ~ and the debug toolkit which contains console will appear
http://steamworkshopdownloader.io just updated their availability for Crusader Kings III! New games usually have their workshop blockated for standard anonymous download, so the site can only download it after getting a copy of the game themselves and redirecting the downloaded file.
do not launch it from launcher after u have ticked it u can just launch it from ck3.exe or shortcut on the desktop - which u must create it wont pop up on its own. i did not have problem launching it through launcher though so idk but this should bypass ur problem
Do you have notepad++? I used it to open the "launcher-settings.json" file and change the line of code that says "distPlatform": "steam", to "distPlatform": "pdx",
Try to go into the launcher folder and open "launcher-settings.jason". Search for the line "distPlatform" and change "steam" to "pdx". Then start the "dowser.exe"
Alternatively, without using Steam, you can start the game in debug mode by going to your main CK3 installation folder and creating a shortcut by right-clicking on the main CK3 application and selecting Create shortcut. Right-click the new shortcut and select properties. In the Shortcut tab where it says Target add -debug_mode to the very end of the field and hit apply. This will enable debug mode when launching the game using that shortcut. Source : https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Console_commands

what happens when launching it? does anything appear while crashing? like an error message or something like that? drivers maybe? sometimes that might cause some problems (most common needed drivers are directx and .net framework 3.5) how are you starting the game? directly from the main's folder .exe or somewhere else like a shortcut or something? do you have a copy of the paradox launcher crash reporter? like a .txt log or something like that? might be ram or cpu as another user mentioned, what are your specs? and finally, d i d y o u i n s t a l l t h e g a m e t h e r i g h t w a y ? (was there a "crack" folder that needed to be copied from the downloaded files?)
@gatinbunitin:disqus when i launch the game after few seconds it just crashes and paradox crash reporter opens and my laptop processor is amd a6 with amd radeon r4 graphic card
hated the 3d stuff,hated that the new ui is almost invisible,map glitches when you zoom out,some traits dont work,cant do broken or customized world and tons of other etc that i wont list
Oh, my sweet summer child. DLCs with all your favorite functions be available soon. For a modest sum of $$$ :) And the rest, well, it's PI. They couldn't make a decent UI if their lives depended on it.
I played the tutorial. 1066 Ireland seems to be Newbie Island still. Pretty sad there's still no 769 start since that was my favorite start with broken Pagan characters like Ragnar Lodbrok and his father Sigurdr. Haven't explored the other non-Christian starts so far but it seems like the strongest Pagan start so far is Rurik (just like CK2 1066), I think? UPDATE: Dyre the Stranger is a candidate too. The rule of thumb is pick Vikings or non-coastal feudal characters in 867 and just go crazy at 1066. It feels like only 20% of the changes are fresh and new improvements to CK2 (like customizable heresies and the more appropriate division of holdings, which I appreciate). The rest of the changes are just making former event variables visible and tangible. I wouldn't be surprised if most of these 'new features' were just hidden behind CK2 events previously. And the first PDX game sequel with new-gen-ish graphics is a plus. Overall, it feels like it'll please the old CK2 guard and would attract new players through hype and the improved graphics but not much else.
I'd love to be able to disable animations of characters. In CK2, my gpu worked in 2D mode and its fans didn't start. In CK3, these mediocre graphics require a lot of computing power and even though there's surprisingly no performance issues so far,GPU utilization is high.
I believe there is an option in the settings to disable character animations. Personally I rather like the art as much as the old portraits, but to each their own
Funny you mention that, I was actually surprised how smoothly I can run it compared to CK2 with minimum settings. And my laptop got hotter with CK2 faster than this one. Odd
I've only played for about 2 hours so far but I am not liking it no where near as much as CK2, its major downfall is the UI, it is so horrible and confusing unnecessarily. CK2 did it perfectly.
"CK2 did it perfectly" Dude it's a clusterfuck of a ui and is the main reason why so many players who really liked to get into the game was put off. lmfao.
As someone who went into CK2 for the first time blind with only prior knowledge of EU4, I disagree. I think CK3 is only slightly more confusing than CK2. I've played both games' tutorials and everything seems like the same old. It's just confusing for the first hour or so because we're all used to old-gen Paradox games having almost carbon copy interfaces.
anyone know how to install or enable mods? edit: nevermind, it's exactly like eu4 pirated mod. too complicated without steam workshop downloader though.
Guys, be serious. This game is not cracked in any way. These are just copied files from installation folder of the game. You won't get any DLCs to run. You shouldn't even be using paradox launcher. Just run the game from ck3.exe. These DLCs don't offer any game mechanics anyway.
I am playing since yesterday and haven't come into any problem yet. At best some things that needs to be change, like the raiding system, but no bug or anything that makes it unplayable.
Got 1 big problem - 90% of time my left mouse button didnt work. I've tried everything but still have to click 10 times on anything in menu/game to actually do this. Anyone got that?
Yeah, I remember. 😁 And as for me, as I just wrote above, this is the kind of game I really want to love, but... In the end, I always choose simpler games, for example city builders like Caesar III and Pharaoh, or Civilization VI, and especially the recent OldWorld, which seems to be the best of both worlds, like a simplified version of CK. (I stopped playing it though, as I wait now for it to be updated. Most games are early access, nowadays... lol)
For everyone that's having technical problems or wants to enable the console, here's some fixes and notes I found. If you cannot launch the game through the Paradox Launcher (dowser), it's because the launcher cannot launch the game as Administrator. You need to go to the binaries folder within the game's directory, right click onto ck3.exe, go to its properties, the Compatibility tab, uncheck 'Run this program as administrator', apply and then OK. Using the console is now a bit of a process, it is no longer on by default. First off, due to the need for the launcher in order to properly activate DLCs and Mods, you need a shortcut of the launcher. To get one, you need to go to your game directory folder, go to the 'launcher' file, right click on 'dowser' and then click on 'Desktop (create shortcut)' within the 'Send to' tab. Once done, go to the shortcut that you created, right click on it and go to its properties, go to the target section in the Shortcut tab and add " -debug_mode " (without the "s), apply and OK. Most of the commands are still the same, though adding traits is a bit more of a process due to them no longer being named after their actual name. For example "Genius" is now called (according to the localization folder) "trait_intellect_good_3" (from what I saw, at least). The default key for it is the tilde (~). See this for reference. https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Console_commands It should be noted that enabling the debug mode gives you quite a bit more information similar to the charinfo command in CK2. Unfortunately, all of this cannot be disabled. The only method to disable it is to click on the 'Debug Mode Active' tab on the bottom of the console, but that disables the entire console and the debugging commands for the rest of the game. There is no ruler designer feature yet, but you can access the barber shop by right clicking onto your character's portrait and clicking on the middle button. There is a Portrait Editor tab within the console's debug menus, but nobody has yet made any tutorial on its usage, or if it is even usable by the players at all, so messing with it at the moment is not recommended. The UI between this and CK2 is very different in some aspects, while most players can easily recognize what most things do, new players will be dumbfounded. Just take it step by step, there's only few new menus and mechanics that have been added. And plus, most of the button locations are similar to CK2's.
Hey thanks for the info, love the profile pic btw! My issue is that even with the launcher working and the DLCs enabled within the launcher, I cannot actually find the DLC items (Clothes and hats from my understanding) in the game. The hats and clothing items shown in pictures for the DLCs are nowhere to be found. Is there something that has to be done to unlock or activate the dlc properly?
No problem, I have tried every different version I can find and I've asked for help on several different places so hopefully I can figure it out soon. It's still worth installing as the game is fun with or without the extra clothes that the DLC gives you.
I know that everyone can activate the DLCs in the launcher, but has anyone actually been able to make the DLC items show up IN GAME? I've been trying since the cracked version dropped. I've tried cream.api, different versions....nothing works. Any help would be a godsend!
What DLC's? There are no DLC's out yet. What you're buying in the Royal Edition is a "pass" to the DLC's when they do come out.But as it stands, there is no DLC. They haven't even announced what the first two DLC's will even be yet content wise.
When you go to the "dlc" folder in the game directory, it contains the folders "dlc001_preorder" and "dlc002_sp_day1", when you use the launcher both "Garments of the Holy Roman Empire" and "Fashion of the Abbasid Court" both appear under the "DLC" tab to be enabled and disabled. dlc001 is the Garments of the Holy Roman Empire and was preorder only but Fashion of the Abbasid Court is listed on steam as "Downloadable Content", has the purple "DLC" ribbon in the corner of the thumbnail and is listed on steam under Crusader Kings III > Downloadable Content > Crusader Kings III: Fashion of the Abbasid Court. They may not be proper expansions to the game and mere content packs but for all intents and purposes they are DLC.
I waited for this game for 6 months, was super excited to finally get it. Got it working and played for a few minutes, then exited and played other games for hours. For some reason I always put off my "best" games for later. I am very strange.
If you consider the second game complicated, i think you will find this one just as complicated,while the ui is certainly a lot better than previous one,there is no shortcuts and you will inevitably need to pick a character and try to learn for yourself.The biggest piece of advice i can give you is that you are playing as a character,not a country.
Nah, if you are a new player it can seem a bit daunting. Just take it one piece at a time, before you know it you will wish it was even more complicated.
I really want to! I just need more time to invest in this. (a bit like Flight Simulator...) I really tried hard with the previous game, and I know that this is exactly the kind of game which I want to love, but it just needs so much dedication, especially for new players, as you say.
How do you actually launch the game? I got it installed and i am at the launcher but it seems i require steam since every time i press play button it just gives me red warning sign.
I already press it, but it wont open, in the CK3 wiki you need to open it in debug mode, but you need to add "debug_mode" to the launch option in steam so how do I use it if this is a cracked version??
or create Text Document in side Binaries Folder enter this "start ck3.exe -debug_mode" save it as "eyangisnice.bat" then save then click YES then start the game from that .bat file
It's an ad. Do not use it !!! The file should be an archive (.zip or .rar) not an executable. You should click the link until you get to a waiting screen with the guys from Final Fantasy and a blue banner saying "please wait". Then click on the banner to go to the link. If it downloads an exe just click again the blue banner until you get to the download link.
Is it a virus? I accidentally downloaded it the other day and opened it thinking it was a downloader (ive had roms do that but actually download w it). I scanned but didnt see any viruses
I'm not really sure about that but I'm sure you shouldn't use it. Ever. Maybe not a "suriv" per se but probably an installer for some unwanted piece of software. Or malware even. If you did use it try scanning your system with your av and Malwarebyte or equivalent. You'll know if you caught something.
No install. Just unzip the archive, go to the folder called "binaries" and use ck3.exe. Done. Oh, and the first time takes a very long time so don't be worried if it keeps loading for a couple minutes (depending on your rig obviously).

Solutions is to rename 'Crusader.Kings.III..Royal.Edition.v1.6.0.1' directory name to something simpler, e.g. 'a'
The game can be launched by clicking on "ck3.exe" NOT dowser.
HOW TO USE DLC
In order to launch the game with dlcs you must first go into youe game folder and click on a folder called "launcher" open the file called "launcher-settings.json" with any text editor and find "distPlatform": "steam"
and change it from "steam" to either gog or pdx, override the original file and then open dowser select the dlc's of your choice and then close dowser and launch the game as stated on the previous step.
HOW TO USE mods
If you want to use mods, put them in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod
it should be a folder and a .mod file with the same name as the folder.
Then disconnect your internet and close steam (might not be needed, but better safe than sorry) and go to into launcher\ in the game files and start dowser.exe
you can't start the game from there, but you can change the mods, just create a new playset and add the mods you want.
Alternately, edit the dlc_load.json (in the same directory as he mod folder) manually.
I tested this with elder kings 2 v0.10.3 downloaded from nexus mods, and it works for me.
I get this error after trying to execute ck3.exe, what dll may I be missing?
It says issue with connecting with steam when trying it. I've tried installing the steam.api cracks and it doesn't work.
if this doesnt work, run the game as admin.
dont know how, but worked for me.
Thanks in advance
I mean the folder that contains the game.
Here's a screenshot of proof (Lightshot): https://prnt.sc/GlDC6xi6ODYm
instead of "distPlatform": "steam" change it to "distPlatform": "pdx" then save,
Now it should work.
I feel sorry for you, my friend. Nobody wanted to help for two weeks.
Someone please help, i cant use my mod "polish translate" idk why and when I open Dowser.exe i see steam error ( first photo )
Tried with and without admin rights
Remove any special characters from the directory
Move your Crusader Kings folder to root so you have directory like this:
C:\Crusader Kings III
Easiest way to make the game work
when I renamed it to CK, it works perfectly with the mods. YOU ARE A CHAMP

The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire.
well that's what it says
do i need somekind of vpn or smth?
if so can you recommend me one?
Bottom point is, if it is not bothering you, i say keep the download up.
And thank you for trying to help folks
I removed it because I feared I was spreading a useless solution.
You can see tutorial here too (it same for almost games):

Also for people having issues, I recommend buying PDX games and pirating the DLCs. Base game is often 80% off very early. Makes your life easier with mods as well.
I think your expectation for people who pirate games are way too high, 90% has trouble manually copying the crack folder.
1.) I edit the launcher-settings.json file using Notepad++ (or any text editing software).
2.) I edit distPlatform and gameDataPath to look like this:
"distPlatform": "pdx",
"gameDataPath": "%USER_DOCUMENTS%/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III",
3.) I keep everything else as is.
4.) Save the edit.
5.) Launch dowser.exe.
"distPlatform": "distPlatform": "pdx",
"distPlatform": "distPlatform": "steam",
neither of those work. My install game precracked, game loads fine, all DLC, etc... For some reason I cannot get this to launch. I have all files extracted into
"gameDataPath": "%USER_DOCUMENTS%/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III",
I moved game to steam directory and can launch from steam. Going to try and use the workshop.
"gameDataPath": "%USER_DOCUMENTS%/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III",
Steam is default, but I cannot load it through steam. I messed up the file edit and had double inputs of displatform. That was crashing the launcher. Now I need to sort out how to get this working with steam, so I can use mods. I will switch back to the steam for launch and then hopefully figure it out.
You can see tutorial here too (it same for almost games):

Not at start up, but when playing
How can i clean cache and everything from the game to begging new?
You then need to download and extract the files into that mod folder (Recomended site: https://catalogue.smods.ru/game/crusader-kings-iii/).
Then go back to the launcher and create a playset with the mods you downloaded. Remember to check if they are activated (I also recommend learning about the load order of mods), anyway, just launch the game and have fun ^^
Can run the game directly but mods not work though

You will usually have difficulty finding your friend's server, but while in the lobby, there is a server ID that you can copy-paste to join them
I'd suggest going on the Game Requests page and request there, if you'd like.

If you unzip the .rar file straight in you C:\ folder it worked for me. Maybe the path was too long for the game to run.
Unzip it in C:\ and run the ck3.exe
anyone know how to fix this
Can you tell me how I get multiplayer running, please?
It usually is something like this: ...\Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.5.1.1\Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.5.1.1\Crusader Kings III

Making a new playset with no mods in it will fix it. Don't forget to enable the playset on the home screen.
Without mod Better UI Scaling, I can't play the game. The text is too small to read for my eyes...
Like which directory do I set in the update installer
Unfortunately I don't exactly know what I did that caused it to start working cuz I did a lot of shit, most of which probably didn't help and I can't really remember it now. Used the CK3 topic on CS.RIN.RU, page 30 and the most recent pages seemed the most relevant to my struggle but idk what to tell you past that. You can make it happen if you're determined I guess lol.
I used this 1.4.2 download when it came out, it was saying I owned the DLCs but like I said, it didn't have them in the files from which to load them.
Does it run on Macbook M1? Thanks in advance!

With all the fuse about your download i actually downloaded the game and tried your link just to see if we were both wrong, we were not ;)
after you do that, every time you run ck3 through that shortcut, you will get console/debug tools
There's no ck3.exe or anything.
Am I doing something wrong?
But thanks for delivering the crack anyways :D
Hope it helps :D

What to do?
you should go to launcher settings and change it from "steam" to "gog"
this is ONLY to unlock mods (which can be downloaded from paradox mods forum) and to unlock dlcs, please note this method works in all previous and future versions of CK3 (which there will be many.. as you'll find out)
to launch the game you should go into directory usually C:\Games\Crusader Kings 3\binaries or wherever you installing, and youre looking for ck3.exe this is the file that you will use to actually run the game, i would recommend creating a shortcut to desktop from this file.
feel free to message me if you require additional help.
Also, for anyone here, I found a pretty epic site which lets you download workshop mods and with some very mild file fuckery you can get them working in CK3 with the method above, very cool: https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/
If anybody needs/wants it I'll tell you specifically how to do it
Does anyone know how to fix this error? I've done multiple clean re-installs and I still get this error on my dowser.exe.
When I edit my launcher-settings file, and replace "steam" with "pdx", my launcher refuses to start and gives me a "general error.", thus I must renistall all over again just to get the same "api failed to initialize" / "steam communication error".
I have applied the crack, and running basic CK3.exe (without the launcher) works PERFECTLY fine but I cannot run the launcher.
Does anyone know a fix?

I'm assuming that the game's looking for data to load from Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.3.1 finds nothing and then closes itself as the content is in the subfolder CrusaderKingsIII, don't know how to explain this well but just try it.
There is no way to start the game

and for B I have a error message
activate the debug mode is totally IMPOSSIBLE
or this is the most difficult things I ever done in my life
A.
Open your launcher (dowser)
Click “Game Settings”
Scroll down and you will find “Open game in Debug Mode”
B.
Make a shortcut for “dowser.exe”
Right click shortcut and select “properties”
Inside Target put (“-debug_mode”) outside of the directory path.
Example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Crusader Kings III Northern Lords\launcher\dowser.exe" -debug_mode
Example:
archive="C:/Users/Admin/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/undress/http://2217904336_undress.zip"
and start dowser!
Go to Playsets and click "Initial playset" and there you can find create new playset button.
To add mods click add more mods button.
Change the "(dot)" with "." and you are golden
What I had to do was:
First delete all files from previous install first if you have any.
Reinstalled and deleted files from /documents/... from a previous install, and obviously playing as a character that would be affected by the DLC, still nada.
Any other ideas?

To the end of your steam_enu.ini file located in the binaries folder for the DLC to load. If you don''t have that file located in the binaries folder then you need for find a ck3 crack.
"launcher-settings.json" (open it with notepad or notepad++)
you can see the dlc are enable and you can even play multiplayer with it
I heard about erasing the whole border business with Map editor. But how can I do that with pirated version?
and i cant use viking tactics innovation?
pixeldrain(dot)com/u/V55HLroe
change "(dot)" with "."
to play the game you dont need to patch anything, all you need before play is, from main folder open folder called "launcher" open file "launcher-settings.json" with notepad, then change :
"distPlatform": "steam",
to
"distPlatform": "gog",
then save file, to open the launcher just run "dowser.exe" as administration
all dlc works, and multiplayer works as well
you can see the dlc are enable and you can even play multiplayer with it
it works for me
change line named "distPlatform" : "steam"... change "steam" to "gog" like this
"launcher-settings.json" open with notepad
for using DLC
first, open the main game folder, there is another folder called "launcher"... in
there, there's a file named "launcher-settings.json"... you have to
edit this file with a notepad/ text editor, the line named "distPlatform" : "steam"... change "steam" to "gog"
second, go to your binaries folder and open steam_emu.ini with notepad and find this
DLCUnlockall=0
and change to
DLCUnlockall=1
if you want to use the launcher, from the main folder open folder called "launcher" and run dowser.exe run as administrator(you have to do this everytime you want to use launcher)
it works for me
if not, check your antivirus. it might be deleted by your antivirus
DLCUnlockall=0
and change to
DLCUnlockall=1

you can try
redist files
2005
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26347
For the 2019 version, I did not find a link to the microsoft page but that should work the same way
https://obsproject.com/visual-studio-2019-runtimes-64-bit
I took the whole localization folder out, and tried running the game. This time, it didn't crash! But all the text was messed up (underscores instead of spaces). Can anyone help with this?
maybe you should reinstall it.
that is for mods
Note: Alternatively, you can just follow what user Albright said below...
How to open the console:
and with your solution i can't change the target
any fix?
You just extract it and play it from the 'ck3.exe' in the binaries folder. You won't lose your saves as they are saved in your documents.
rumors: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackWatch/comments/iknmym/crusader_kings_iii_p2p/
Just change the file (CK3_INSTALL_DIR)/launcher/launcher-settings.json
change line
"distPlatform": "steam",
to
"distPlatform": "gog",
And run the launcher normally! Can launch the game within it too.

Enjoy
and this way you can use all the launcher mod organization features like playsets and such
this kind of knowledge is essential in order to fulfil my darkest schemes.
i would really appreciate. please pretty please.
that should do
But there is a manual way to use mods:
You need to add the mods you want to the file (USERNAME_FOLDER)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\dlc_load.json
There's a few steps required beforehand also.
As an example, let's install a mod called Community Title Project which you can get from here:
https://github.com/Gr770/CK3-Community-Title-Project/archive/master.zip
Specifically extract it such that there is a file at the path mod(MOD_NAME)\descriptor.mod
In this case the zip file already has a folder with the mod name so it will be like this:
mod\CK3-Community-Title-Project-master\descriptor.mod
{"enabled_mods":["mod/CTP.mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
4a. (note) the path for the *.mod file should use forward slashes (even on windows) and is relative to (USERNAME_FOLDER)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III
4b. (optional) if you have other mods to enable, just add it to the list like so:
{"enabled_mods":["mod/CTP.mod","mod/another_mod.mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
4c. (optional) to disable mods again, change the file back to the following:
{"enabled_mods":[],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
6a. If all goes well, you should see at the bottom right hand of the screen the text: MP Checksum: d3e7 (modified)
6b. that's what game version 1.2.1 says. Future versions may print something else. Basically just check that some of the rulers in the new game menu have altered foreign language names. That's what this mod does.
It's somewhat involved, so if anyone has questions, feel free to reply to this post.
Additional details:
If you understand the format of the *.mod files and the dlc_load.json file you can take any mod from anywhere and run it in ck3.
Basically it's like this:
there should be a (MOD_NAME).mod file in the Crusader Kings III\mod folder.
inside of that file there will be a line like:
path = "mod/(MOD_NAME)"
The mod's name on that line doesn't have to be the same as in the name of the *.mod file, it merely points to the location of the folder with the mod's files, relative to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III. Technically you can change it to whatever you want as long as you also change the line similarly.
then add it to dlc_load.json like so:
{"enabled_mods":["mod/(MOD_NAME).mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
and maybe add other mods like so:
{"enabled_mods":["mod/(MOD_NAME).mod","mod/(ANOTHER_MOD_NAME).mod"],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
and to remove all mods:
{"enabled_mods":[],"disabled_dlcs":[]}
Edit the file Crusader.Kings.III.v1.2.1\binaries\SteamConfig.ini

"rename the folder "Crusader.Kings.III.Royal.Edition.v1.0.3'' to "Crusader.Kings.III""
i did it and it worked :D
i still dowloading
In "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III" there is a file called "mods_registry.json", put the mod name and stuff in there to activate it normally.
The mods themselves are intalled in "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod" folder.
Edit :- I mean on that website there is version 1.1.2 but the game has version 1.1.3 with fixes.
Click on "properties"
New window should pop up.
In the "Shortcut" tab, you should find the text field next to: "Target: ", with an address written in quotations.
To the right of this, type in: -debug_mode
Hit "Apply" and then "Ok"
Start the game using that same shortcut icon.
So that it will be noticed.
I just made a new request. Also my third or so!
If the one above's busy or down, Use this one.
use a program like geek uninstaller if you want to clean up registry and folders
seems like the checksum match.
I already did it before but im not able to do it now and im mad xD

Does someone has some other tips or should I hope that some future update will fix the problem?

Like this: ck3.exe" -debug_mode (it looks like this in your screenshot: ck3.exe"-debug_mode).
How do you use the bootstrapper?
Go into /binaries and use ck3.exe
that's the game launch file.
Do you just login to Paradox?
checksum problem? can you activate your achievement?
step 1 : create folder mod in ..\Documents\Paradox
Interactive\Crusader Kings III -> unzip mod in mod folder -> keep descriptor.mod in mod folder and put other files in new folder in mod folder too ( you should rename file . mod and folder for better mod management in the future ).
step 2 . Open file.mod and add new line : archive="mod/< name of mod folder >" for example archive="mod/better_GUI"
step 3 : in folder launcher, change " steam " to "gog" in launcher-settings.json, open dowser.exe to open launcher menu, u can add and enable mods manually there and press play.
it worked great for me.
if you want to enable console command , open launcher-settings.json, change file from "exeArgs": [ "-gdpr-compliant] to "exeArgs": [ "-gdpr-compliant-debug_mode" ]
I have:

}
name="Better UI Scaling"
supported_version="1.0.3"
remote_file_id="2217509277"

You shouldn't update your game when you have a gameplay in progress. You can do that but you should expect incompatibility and random fuckery if you do so.
Basicly the folder name too long.
And enjoy!
If you're havign a paradox crach reporter this is the solution to it as riducilous as it sounds it worked for me.
HELP
You can also change the launcher-settings.json by replacing the steam of dist platform by gog making the dowser.exe work
If I missunderstand sorry
Create a .txt file (call it whatever, I
called it "0Debug" so it was at the top of the folder) in the same
folder as your ck3.exe (binaries folder), and in that .txt file write:
start ck3.exe -debug_mode
Save the file, then change the ".txt" in the file name to ".bat", double click it, and you should be good.
6 open launcher with the dowser.exe file
if your mod does NOT show up with the other mods, check if you can add it manually in the launcher "manage mods" "add mod".. take a loot around.
The launcher works perfectly and can manage mods if handled properly.
Steam API is not initialized and
mod doesnt work with this version
Any tips on how to fix this?
Close the launcher, start the game with cK3.Exe and the mod should be there"thanks linche
How do i use the launcher
(Game works but i want mods)
If you truly want to use the dowser, then open the "launcher" folder, open the launcher-settings.json file and replace t distPlatform": "steam" by "distPlatform": "gog"
Well if it doesn't work you can still just unzip the mod in the game folder but I don't recomend it because you can't use mod with the same file and when you want to remove them, 9 time out of 10 you can't because a file of the game as been replace.
If none of this help you i'm sorry

Example : "D:\USER\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe" -debug_mode
Done, in game you can press the "`" button on your keyboard and voila the console command appear :)
"D:\USER\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe" -debug_mode
don't forget the "-" before "debug_mode"
"C:\Games\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe" -debug_mode
Then you can press "Shift Alt C"
One of the most idiotic bugs is possible outcomes of decisions changing depending on how you opened the option. This is most relevant to ransoms. If you ransom pops through pop-up, you can get the most money. Ransoming from court menu, can often get you much less money, and if you enter this option here, you'll get penalty for releasing for a hook. Reaching the same option from character menu will will give you yet some other set of options. Happens with random characters for no apparent reason. If you play an early start viking game, it's more than annoying.
If you want to launch the game by dowser.exe you simply have to open "launcher-settings.json" in the launcher folder and replace the "distPlatform": "steam" by "distPlatform": "gog" and it should work. Thank to the other for this information.
If the mod are enable and that there is no problem with the version or compatibility then I can only tell you that I don't know.
Hope it was usefull to you and sorry if it wasn't

does anything appear while crashing? like an error message or something like that?
drivers maybe? sometimes that might cause some problems (most common needed drivers are directx and .net framework 3.5)
how are you starting the game? directly from the main's folder .exe or somewhere else like a shortcut or something?
do you have a copy of the paradox launcher crash reporter? like a .txt log or something like that?
might be ram or cpu as another user mentioned, what are your specs?

DLCs with all your favorite functions be available soon. For a modest sum of $$$ :)
And the rest, well, it's PI. They couldn't make a decent UI if their lives depended on it.
Tried launching dowser.exe from multiple different locations
edit: nevermind, it's exactly like eu4 pirated mod. too complicated without steam workshop downloader though.

And as for me, as I just wrote above, this is the kind of game I really want to love, but... In the end, I always choose simpler games, for example city builders like Caesar III and Pharaoh, or Civilization VI, and especially the recent OldWorld, which seems to be the best of both worlds, like a simplified version of CK. (I stopped playing it though, as I wait now for it to be updated. Most games are early access, nowadays... lol)
at least they didnt cross the line with it

See this for reference. https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Console_commands
It should be noted that enabling the debug mode gives you quite a bit more information similar to the charinfo command in CK2.
