Can anybody tell me how to properly crack the game, I have tried almost very method but not working! Tried deleting stuff, but still not working,. Please tell me properly what to delete and on what version. 🙏
Have you tried 0xdeadc0de's Steam-Fix as a crack? When i tested it last week i think it seemed to work, it also offers to play with friends when the players using the same game version and such.

That crack should normally allso works on other versions.
Keep in mind website language is Russian so you'll have to use the witch ever browers website translator for better navigation and important information.
I have discovered how to activate DLC in 1.7.6 Go to the folder with the game executable, then go into the "steam_settings" subfolder Then, in the doc named 'dlc.txt', type " 1542360=Stormworks: Search and Destroy 2124750=Stormworks: Industrial Frontier " Save and the DLCs should be activated next time you launch the game
You can just completely erase the "steam_settings" folder and when you run the game, it will make a new one for you calling you "noob" which you then can replace with your real used game name. No weapons were allowed to shoot in game for me until I did this and there were no "flying fish" either. I did this in ver 1.7.7. I will try it in newest, but it should work too.
WTH??? I'm still getting flying fish! They didn't fix anything! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!! Why did they even post new versions if they never fixed the flying fish? Looks like I'll reload version 1.7.7 an just Ignore these broken updates until something is posted about the newer versions fixing the flying fish issue.
for me it worked because I deleted all that starts wish fish except for the folder called fish I delete all in the meshes folder not in the fish folder that is inside meshes in the folder meshes down there are a lot of documents that have the name fish somewhere in the name
I believe the developers may have implemented more DRM anti-piracy features. I noticed custom engines are broken and never start due to 0% exhaust. But the preset ones do, for a short bit at times, before they abrutly break too. This is almost surely triggered by a timer of 1-3 minutes (probably varies). Just leaving this here so Igg-games is able to fix this.
It might also be spreading throught the "data_version=" found in vehicle XMLs and the save.xml on the appdata folder, as I noticed older vehicles and presets (even recent ones) have a "2" instead of a "3"
These were my suspicions. I couldn't get the engines to work reliably, so it's my closest guess.
Well you definitely need to edit the config file so your name isn't IGGGAMES because it checks for that. I have no issues after always that for a long time, but you may still have issues even after fixing that since you triggered the detection already. I'm not sure what the antipiracy measures do, but I haven't seen any complaints about the old flying fish in a long time so I wouldn't be surprised if engines being unable to run is what they do now. I did make sure to back up all my files because I kind of suspected they would update the antipiracy measures along with the release of a new DLC.
I did a little test and i discovered that if u run the game for the first time with the igggames in the steam config file the anti piracy system triggers and when u realise it and change the name it doens't matter anymore so u are gonna have to change the steam config before starting the game for the first time so if u notice the game runs like absolute shit or something it's broken uninstall the game and then re install it, change the steam config name to something else and then run the game after that the game should work normally

At the beginning the (custom) engines run like they should, and I even spent several minutes tweaking them, maybe even an hour.
Then, they suddently stop, and I find that 0% exhaust thing again, so yeah, the devs likely updated the DRM. Though I will say that this has been happening long before the DLC, and given the devs are pretty open and enthusiastic about implementing Anti-Piracy features into the game, they probably did this once the Flying Fish became trivial to fix (also is a sneaky way to bypass crack testing as crackers generally don't play the games themselves for long).
But about the vehicle XML "data_version=" part, he's probably wrong there, as I found some of the new presets and mission vehicles too have it set to "3".
3 wasn't the suspicious value, 2 was. I doubt that's related to anti-piracy measures though. All the stuff I've made recently is version 3 but a few older vehicles I last modified 3 years ago are version 2 and I've never had any problems.
so looks like we are stuck with version 1.7.7 unless they re-crack this game to get rid of the fish. I wish to personally thank the dumb aZZ on steam who told the dev that his friends downloaded an illegal copy of the game and it's easy to get around the anti-piracy fish. I bet the dev loved hearing that! Some people are just so dumb!
version 1.7.7 definitely without fish. works great. This has been going on almost 3 months now i don't think it can be an easy fix this time! That was exactly 2 1/2 months ago on steam when this anti-piracy bug came back out I'm sure he got pissed off and went in and wrote an even better version so unless we find a real good cracker to kill this thing no more updated versions of Stormworks unless like me you stay playing at the last good version 1.7.7 until someone decides to take this bug down and kill it for everyone.

I have discovered this from VER 1.7.7 onward: To crack it:
DISABLE THE steam_settings folder by putting a .BACK or other word or just completely erase it or your weapons will NOT fire!!! The weapons check boxes in the options of the game will be gone or you CANNOT put a check mark on an older save file! It will make a new folder calling the player Noob in the account_name.txt file and a new user_steam_id,txt file then it should work fine. I can only guess that the game programers were "on" to the crack and disabled the weapons options on purpose because of the hackers name and i.d. being in the folder and well known by then.

So is nobody going to mention that this game has copy protection and becomes unplayable after about 10 minutes? I didn't realize what was happening when I saw fish flying all over my screen and becoming attached to me, so I Googled it and found out that this wasn't a bug, it was something that happens in pirated versions of the game.
Go into SteamConfig.ini and change PlayerName to anything else except IGGGAMES to get rid of the "flying fish." It's IGGAMES that actually has the ban on them by the creators! LOL!!
try downloading the newer version 1.4.10 I like this game but they are getting out of hand with the very complex engine systems they are designing. It's starting to be more like work then a game dealing with some of these systems fun as hell playing save the sinking ship with closing water tight doors turning on pumps having to put out fires and repairing the holes in your ship before it totally sinks amazing game! I just wish they keep some of the systems easier to make

To actually play this game on the official servers you'll have to buy the game on Steam. But you can also play certain cracked games "online" through a lan network by using for example Hamachi. The easiest way to play cracked games online with other players using the same crack has been taking away from us several years ago, we will never forget the "Steamworks.Fix-REVOLT" cracks by the Bulgarian guy Voksi! 💓
So ive redownloaded this latest update 1.2.2 the game worked properly without any game crash and of what i notice (if the flying fish is still a DRM thing...) well there are no flying fish by the looks of it. I did change "PlayerName = IGGGames" into "PlayerName = anynameyoulike" from the "SteamConfig.ini". Do note when you have a 64-bits OS and x64-processor to launch Stormworks64.exe, otherwise you just run Stormworks.exe (",)

I wish they would slow down on adding more things and try to optimize the game more they are making the game really really buggy by just adding more things and not optimizing anything.
Agree with you, but there is nothing for us to say here. I am still having problems with this New update 1.2.2, as it is still crashing after 10 Mins. Before i used to play it without any problems. Hope someone else will have same problems like us. So Devs will fix the issues and really optimize the game in the end.
UGH! What the heck happened to this game??? I've been having lots of fun amazing games now i just updated the game to current update 1.2.1 and it's gawd awful! None of my planes work right my ships that carry small speed boats all of them got stuck. Vehicles were so sensitive to the wind i had to turn it off the slight wind blew my big trucks right off the bridge.My guys cant get inside of planes, ships they kept bumping into the side walls and bounced my guy elsewhere. I think i want the old version back! I'm going to skip this game for a few updates and pray they fix the issue What did they do that has messed the game up so badly??? It's really disappointing!
Everything was great before this update! Too bad we cant go back now! I hope this gets fixed and patched quickly! The game was so buggy! Some ships wouldnt move to the point everyone i was trying to rescued died. I just shut the game after trying for 4 hours. I'm not playing this until next patch.
I just had an idea for a game on here take a well sealed ship with water tight hatches in every compartment just play the game with her until something happens that she sinks and then try to salvage her by 1st repairing the damage to her outer hull then making sure all hatches are shut tight and run a power cable down from my salvage ship to the sunk ship and power the water pumps and pump out all the water inside the sunk ship and then watch her rise up again! Fix her engines or just tow her into port! Huge salvage job but you get to save your ship! I think that would be a lot of fun not sure if it can be done with a ship. I would think i'd have a better chance with a submarine and it wouldn't be as difficult as a surface ship but i'd still like to try. Maybe if i can get multiplayer to work i could have a salvage team and we all work together to help to raise the ship up. I've been thinking about it and think this could be a ton of fun. I wonder if anyone else thinks so?
Once i get back to work i'm getting this game it's become one of my favorite games! I took the workshop titanic mod and added pumps and fire gear and welders and med packs and when she hits the ice berg i hit the water tight doors and turn on the pumps to stem the flooding grab my welders kit and try to fix the damage before the compartment floods to quickly if that happens i come back with diving gear after i have stopped the other less damaged compartments it makes for a totally different game i spent 4 hours fighting for the life of the ship i just turn the corner and get most of the damage and flooding reversed the a storm comes up and pushes us right back against the ice berg again! Open a huge hole starts a fire i had to basically just run for the life boat at that point but one of the most exciting times ive had playing a video game for 5 hours! LOL!!! To think i hated this game when it 1st came out so glad i came back and took a 2nd look years later!
Type %Appdata% in the windows search bar and press enter. It will get you to a folder called Roaming. Find the stormworks/data in that folder. This is where you put your modded vehicles, microprocessors and missions. Enjoy
Does anyone know how to setup and play a mission from steam workshop? The mission i wanted to try was the titanic mission from the steam workshop. Normally if you download it steam sets it all up for players but since we got the game from other means we have to do it ourselves but i'm not sure how i was wondering if anyone knows how??? like where does the playlist file go?????
Ok Everyone i think i finally got some good news! I've been playing now over 2 and half hours with no fishy attacks! I've been at this since 9am it's 10:37pm now it's not hard either can't believe i didnt hink to do this before ok here we go! I installed my game tried to play i got fishes which ruined my game. So i went into SteamConfig.ini and changed the player name to the name i always use. then i went into the main folder and changed the main folder name to Stormworks i know when you 1st install it it has the version number and all that but i was told to get rid of it and just name the main game folder stormworks then i went into my profile folder example-E:\Games\Stormworks\Stormworks\Profile going into profile folder it will say IGGGames folder change it to the name you used in your steamConfig.ini ok? almost done! Now go into your steam and go to the games tab it's like the 4th one over in upper left side of screen and add a non-steam game to your libary when it asks hit browse and then you just have to find stormworks64.exe and add it and thats it say bye bye to those annoying fishies! Update: I've now been playing over 3 DAYS and no Fishies! I've NEVER played this long without them ruining my game! I used to get no more then 20-30 min to play at the most. 90% of the time it's usually within 5 min of playing and it would be over! I believe adding it to steam even as a non-steam game tricks the drm into thinking the game is an original. Anyway I've had a very long day. I was so close to giving up but i really wanted to play this rescue cutter with a helicopter and helipad on back it's so awesome! yes i got it from steam workshop you have to use steam workshop downloader they have some really great ships and planes! Do you know how to get the mission games to work? I downloaded titanic from workshop and i put it into the missions folder but when i start a creative game i dont see the titanic anywhere what am i doing wrong? Do you know? Can you play missions games?
You have to put the mission folder into c:/users/(Your name)/AppData/Roaming/Stormworks/data/missions. Then go ingame and press escape then to addon editor then load and pick your mission
The little fishes that attach themselves to you and do damage to your ship after a few minutes they get to be so heavy if your on a ship they capsize it and game over they are ment to ruin the game so you will buy the game! Anyone finds a work around please post it on here! Take care!

The site itself is suprisingly safe tho i guess the cracker might always sneak an adware in with the game so have the AV on. But it's like that on any sketchy website, if you're stupid you will get a virus either way. Thats just how it works If your AV deletes the .exe (it's usually the exe thats deleted) just press allow on this computer and it should restore it

Does anyone know where you would install workshop addons too? Not vehicles. The only place I've found to put addons are in the official addons folder, it appears you would need to create a new folder for workshop addons
Aight , to everyone that gets attacked by fish , i saw how to bypass the thing first off after downloading delete everything codex emulates aka steam64.dll and steam.ini or smth then also delete vcresist and profiles , after that download this steam64.dll and move it to stormworks directory , then create a new foler named Stormworks at Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and move game files to there, after that steam should pop up saying do you want to install stormworks? , click yes and wait until it downloads, after that check your steam library and this will pop up! enjoy :D

note : it will tell you to purchase after a week or so , consider purchacing it , the devs made a hard work and it normally drops the price down if it tells you to purchase after the week you will need to reinstall the files that where deleted from codex and you will get the fish shrug

search %appdata% (with the % sign) on your task bar then put the vehicles in Appdata > Roaming > Stormworks > data> vehicles. you can get vehicles from steamworkshop and download the on a site like Steam Workshop Downloader. Make sure the vehicle from the workshop are in .xml, normally you download them as .zip so extract it
