Does anyone have a way of remapping the controller buttons? When I go to control all that shows is the pic of the default controls but no way of changing them.
please someone tell me can we change the attack buttons or no??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
every time i go to check what quests i have, the game suddenly freezes and the loading wheel thing shows up at the left corner of the screen. is there any way to fix this?
Anyone else having problems with performance? Game feels really unoptimized and stuttering happens constantly especially when fighting enemies and breaking boxes. I've been tweaking the game settings constantly but nothing gets rid of the stuttering.
this is from a reshade mod for the game, but: "If your game's fps is suffering from stutters, make sure to disable "Supersampling" in the game's in-game graphics menu" I've seen others with stutters and this seems to help "most" people, emphasis on the "most"
Same problem here, found any solution? the intro videos are playing and the moment when the main menu should appear i get an error, asking me if i want to send information to developer to get help. nothing else.
Excuse me for the admin and staff. if this video is not good, please delete it. I just share it. thank you ... Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, a remaster of the game, The hit RPG returns! Remastered with stunning visuals and refined gameplay Re-Reckoning delivers intense, customizable RPG combat inside a sprawling game world. Game Gendre : Action, RPG, Action RPG, Fantasy, Singleplayer, Fighting, Atmospheric, Combat, Gore, Open World, Character Customization, Adventure, Third Person, Hack and Slash https://youtu.be/gtGqWZGfuIQ
I got this game downloaded, which took a while since it wouldn't download at full speed. My issue is that I'm wondering if the Torrent crack has problems cause my game constantly crashes, and I'm sure it's because of the installation. I get errors during installation for some reason. Anyone elses installer screwed up?
If you guys pick up the "ReReckoning_ReShade" from Jb0238177 on NexusMods, it greatly increases the quality of the game as well as removing the weird blur effect on everything. Honestly the devs shouldve just removed the blur effect to begin with, game looks 100x better without it.
Wow, I never thought they would make a remastered version of my fav old game KOAR! awesome news, but I read some negative reviews on Steam saying it is buggy most of the time even on the ultra gaming PC, more bugs that weren't in the original game, only slightly enhanced graphics and nothing else. I will try it anyway and see the differences between this and the original (I played over than 100h in original and I still didn't finish it 100% damn, although I completed around 70% of main story and 100% of Teeth of Naros DLC)
10 hours in and havent noticed any bugs at all. Btw theres some awsome reshades up on nexusmods, one of them being "ReReckoning_ReShade" by Jb0238177. It GREATLY increases the quality and removes the weird blur affect the game has, everything, including abilities look so much nicer now
I liked the original as is was unusual in it's writing style with the fae courts and the fun combat system but never finished it as it run out of steam along the way. Nearly 40 gigs are quite a bit for a remaster with more bugs than the original and questionable improvements.
where is Save game data location ??? on internet u can find onli steam version but this is gog here it isnt C:\Users\PC\AppData\Local\http://GOG.com\Galaxy
Same gameplay, same story, same characters, same graphics (I don't see any difference) and even same menu theme, everything the same as original game except the new edited title, higher resolutions, post-processing & other few graphics enhance.
Not a great remaster but I can tell you that it runs on low end hardware pretty well. I don't think this is much different than the original release which is a good and a bad thing. The good is it will run great on lower end computers even for 4k but the bad is it doesn't look better but more of the same.
yea visually is underwhelming but it fixes some of the major flaws koa had wich are the difficulty because the game was too easy and the balancing although i don't know if crafted items are still op also the fact that this game didn't had new game+ before the remaster is insane
Check out a channel on youtube called Fextralife, they recently uploaded a video that touches on a lot of the mechanics and little details, it's a good refresher course
Care, this cracked game have a serious bug, i already have many hours on this and sundetly the enemys just start to vanish when you kill them, no item drops, nothing, then the game crash. I restarted the game (obviusly), loading previous save file and still with the bug. I can't play anymore. Be aware.
no problems here and no bugs as what you stated. The only thing I have are the FPS drops in places where I had stable 60fps. But they are aware of the FPS drops. Even with some lowered settings it didn't make much difference in my case
The bug is quite simple. It's because of the amount of loot you leave behind. For some reason the game doesn't get rid of it, so the loot continues to build up around the world until it causes some serious bugs. Whatever you do, don't leave loot behind for now, or just wait until the update is released.
Not JUST the components but also the accessories and gems. Once you level blacksmithing enough to unlock all four crafting slots and level your sagecrafting enough to craft powerful gems you did it, you win the game
aside from sarcasm and the fact that your sword hitting misses 90% of the time, what does the remaster f ocuses on? I don't see any difference at all. Neither in graphics indeed, or movement or attack style or anything
It IS worth buying it, especially if you already own the previous version. Not only does the remaster have more DLC planned for the future but if it does well, who knows, maybe a sequel will be greenlit
Remaster has a lot of optimization issues. As soon as you maxout everything, even on a beefy PC you won't go past 60 fps unlike the OG where you can go easy to up to 140fps. The visual changes are not worth the price if you are already used to play with Re-Shade+SweetFX tools. But if you haven't played the original, then yes, it is worth. Just play the game on medium settings until they fix the issues they have.
Ummmm...i play with everything maxed out and i have zero performance issues, i hit that 60 fps all the time or almost all the time. And my rig isn't even THAT beafy
dude i have a 1660 TI and 16 GB of ram, i own the original game on steam and without mods i don't get anywhere NEAR those FPS. So it stands to reason that the people who said that back then were indeed using mods
I have played Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning before. Seems like there aren't a lot of changes in this remaster. Better stick with the old Kingdoms of Amalur game than this since the remaster doesn't change much
KoA Reckoning is the greatest rpg ever, the first game that I rated 10/10, and the one that introduced me to rpgs after a decade of racing and sports games. I'm actually disappointed that this one offers nothing beside some better graphics that I will probably not use because of my potato pc.
Greatest RPG ever? Come on, you need to try more games. Have you played Gothic 1/2/3? (or maybe even Risen 1/2/3?) Morrowind + mods is marvelous. Maybe even Oblivion or Skyrim are acceptable with mods. (I admit I gave up on them though) Dragon Age Inquisition has actually lots of similarities, in my opinion, and it's great. Spent +100 hours on this... Then, there's the obvious Witcher 3... I won't compare to Divinity because it's not turn-based, but any Divinity game is better, if we're talking about pure RPGs. If you don't mind extremely outdated graphics, M&M6/7/8 are also fantastic. Finally, Elex shouldn't be overlooked. All of those are superior to KoA imho. Also, when I tried KoA, I just couldn't help feeling like I was playing a mmorpg. Something like Tera plays better(combat), looks better, and is even deeper, despite the childish gameplay and easiness. If I had to compare it to one game, though, it would be Gothic 3, and I think it's one of the best. (with unofficial patch) And for your potato PC, I think Gothic 1/2/3, and M&M 6/7/8 are perfect.
sure there are plenty of better games, gameplaywise and storywise. but this one was my first rpg ever so it gets an extra point and a special ranking position. I've played all the games above (except Elex) and frankly only the Witcher 3 is a better game. Witcher 3 is perfect, and if you mean DOS1&2 then yeah, those two are perfect too. I said that KoA was the first game that got 10/10, but there are a few other games that succeeded it like: the Witcher 3 Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2 Dragon Age: Origins (way better than DAI) Mass Effect 1,2 & 3 Kingdom Come: Deliverance Dragon's Dogma Tower of Time Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker Drakensang: The Dark Eye & The River of Time Fallout 4 (haven't played F:NV but they say it's even better) Nier: Automata (haven't finished it yet, but so far 10/10) if i revisited KoA now, it will probably not be as great as it was when I first encountered it (just like when I replayed NFSU2 a while ago). finally, my pc can run some big AAA titles but on the lowest settings possible. I'll check out Elex, it looks interesting.
Drakensang's are so fcking great games the lore is interesting and the overall atmosphere is great. DD is great too but my eyes are hurting from the graphics XD
"Also, when I tried KoA, I just couldn't help feeling like I was playing a mmorpg" That's because the game WAS planned to be an MMORPG originally but they gave up on that idea
mega files are mix in order or part 1 is actually 7. google drive links part is actually part 2 and part 2 is still part 2 lol.. so keep in mind when your downloading to look at the file names
Thanks for this! For anybody wondering, the torrent barely took more than a few hours to download, and it comes in a .zip file. Unzip it, and you're good to go. No installation needed.
I'm with you on the buggy gameplay. I never finished the original for the same reason, but my issue was terminal. At one point in the game (where you enter a big tree in an Elven forest or something. I don't quite recall, it's been so long...) the game would hard crash for me. Every. Single. Time. I never could get any further because of this bug. Did anyone who DLed the original game here have a similar experience, and can confirm that such instabilities have been fixed in this one?
With the original you could easily get way more than 60 fps. The Remaster has a poor optimization. you get pretty much locked at 60fps regardless of the graphical settings. When you have maxed out all graphic settings+postprocessing, game drop below 60 fps when there is a lot of stuff going on on the screen. If you already have the original and you have played it with the Re-Shade and SweetFX tools, then you won't see any difference. This is not a Remaster but more of an HD Textures and an UI scaling upgrade.
Then you haven't played it wrong. The game is fully 60fps. are you sure you had FPS check on? I hate games playing @ 30fps as well, but this one is 60fps. You might have not used the right graphic setting. There are more options in game. Go replay it now
never had that problem. Not sure why you had that bug. I played over and over and over this game and never had that bug. Were you sure you even finished the quest... good question. Now go replay it
From what I'm seeing from others, there's not much difference between this and my original Steam copy...however, if I ever want to play the upcoming DLC, I need to upgrade to this new version because the DLC won't work with the old version.
Plus they already removed the original from the store, yep you won't be able to buy the old one. Thankfully, I have the original and won't plan on playing the "Remaster" until they fix the piss poor optimization issues. P.S. Already bought the remaster tho, I want to support it in hopes of more content or a KoA2 release. If they don't release nothing else aside the upcoming DLC, then I guess I just wasted another $12 bucks in a game a most likely won't play.
Ummmm...no they didn't. The original is still in the store. And i will tell you again, these optimization issues you're talking about are either greatly exaggerated or non existent. My rig is nothing special and with everything maxed out i can easily stay at 60 fps constantly
Just a quick tip for those who never played it or just forgot about that : There is almost no auto save outside of area transitions or important story points So DON'T FORGET TO MANUALLY SAVE. Or be screwed - big time. Trust me.
Graphics, difficulty, combat flow, level gating and loot generation. Not much to be fair. But still worth trying if you liked the original or you're new to the game completely. It's kind of like a singleplayer MMO in it's execution. Kickass combat (for an rpg).
I don't know the logistics but considering they were items for Amalur i assume they are part of the game's code so technically they wouldn't need EA's permission to use them
Yeah you get a butt load of stuff in a chest in the first village. If you got the time and wanna do the old school option just destroy the lot and start from scratch. And don't forget to save ! DON'T FORGET TO SAVE !
Remastered games are the epitome of laziness: effectively all they've done is made the file size bigger and made it require a more powerful computer to play it. They're just putting a new coat of paint on an old car and faffing it off as new and exciting.
lol. ever heard of remastering a song? the song is still the same but has MUUUCH more clarity than the original. for instance, the smash mouth song (which apparently people disliked the remaster because it becomes weird for some reason) and there's also bohemian rhapsody and many more. they take THE ORIGINAL piece and re-decode the song using the latest technology to get the best version of the song and better clarity of the sound coming out. that's REMASTER
Google "loudness war". What you call "clarity" is in fact distortion, and literally destroying the dynamics of a song. Audio "engineers" have completely annihilated music since decades. 80s was the last good decade for a reason. Personally, I stick to vinyls just because my ears are bleeding when I hear remasters. Even most recently released vinyls usually have good dynamics. There are some exceptions, but it's really the only way to appreciate music for audiophiles. I tried CDs of Iron Maiden, my favorite band ever. Never again. Nothing compares to their original vinyls. Same for Michael Jackson, ABBA, Queen, etc. For those who wonder, this is why you often feel that commercials feel much more aggressive and annoying than in the past. The sound is pushed to the maximum constantly, with no quiet/softer moments. Music is not much better... And don't get me started with equalizing... By the way, the "official" reason for the loudness war was that people used audio devices which needed to have the volume of the music boosted to be appreciated. Phones or portable music players with crappy speakers, etc. This means that the so-called "loudness war" doesn't even have a reason to exist anymore, since modern technologies have improved drastically. But well, I guess they feel like there's no turning back now, and nobody dares to go back to normal volume and dynamics.
Is that the one where you enter the big tree in the Elven forest (trying to remember when I played it forever ago) and the game hard crashes during the scene transition? If so, I encountered that too and never could finish the game because of it. I came to the comments section precisely to find out if that got fixed in this version.
I like to think of it this way, if people show enough interest in the remaster, then there's a better chance to green lighting a sequel. While I do think the $40 price tag is a lil more then it should be, I did love the game when I played it long ago and with the improvements and new DLC to come I'm almost willing to buy it, after a bit of free testing i think.
Actually even with all the DLC packs the original game is only 11 GB. this one is almost 40 GB. And there really isn't anything new that justifies such a large size
I know what they added extra: Graphics Upscale FOV Slider New Difficulty (Very Hard) Changes to loot generation Small changes to fluidity of combat These are the only changes. And even the graphical changes are barely noticeable
good.. the graphics were good already. Was like playing WOW but offline. They did well not to change much. Take that away.. then the magic will be gone. If you still don't like it... you might not like the game at all and should move to something else
Imagine being this guy crying out over size files in a game. 30gigs by 2020 it's like a small dent on total size when most AAA games requires almost a 100
That's not a valid counterargument - your theoretical game is that size because it was always that size. What if you came back in a few years and they released a new version that was half a terabyte? Bet you'd see my point then.
games are bigger now cause of high res textures and bigger worlds, we arent in 2005 where games are 3gb and haver shitty graphics, you can get a 2TB hard drive for like 50€ now so stop cry about progress
Except that only happens in VERY FEW CASES. The N Sane Trilogy, the Reignited trilogy, The Master Chief Collection, Panzer Dragoon, the Bioshock Collection, GRIM FANDANGO, all of these are fantastic remasters that do more than just "put a new coat of paint on an old car"
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, i know it happens. But saying that EVERY remaster is lazy and only does the bare minimum is simply not true. Not to mention that when it DOES happen, people do complain and they do vote with their wallet and make their opinions heard. I've seen more negative feedback on Re Reckoning for example than positive for that exact reason, it's a lazy remaster
I disagree. A remaster is taking something good but outdated and making it (still) good but relevant by today's tech. Sure, sometimes you don't get much aside from fancier graphics. But the thing is - it was already good. And now it's even better. What's wrong with that ..?
Some people just want something to complain about, which is funny considering how many legitimate things there are to complain about at any given time.
Ya gotta love self-righteous people who infect this site throwing shade at people for 'stealing' games while they, themselves, are doing the exact same thing.
They're not throwing shade at people who steal games in general. They're throwing shade at people who COMPLAIN about games that they are stealing. Big difference. It's all about having an entitlement mentality with something that you're not paying for to begin with. The only people who have a right to complain about a product is if they shell out their hard earned money for it first and it ends up falling short of expectations. Someone who's pirating a game, on the other hand, isn't even paying for the damn thing. That would be like someone stealing a car and then calling up the owner of the car to bitch and moan that there's no CD player in it.
While the general principle of truth is plainly seen in your point, the fact that people aren't paying for the game doesn't prevent them from observing inconsistencies that, hypothetically if they were paying for it, they would recognize as worth complaining about. A lot of the reason people DL games upfront instead of buying them is to discover in advance if some crappy element of the game would have made it a ripoff for them to purchase at asking price to start with, right? If someone finds such a thing during those test plays, there's nothing intrinsically wrong with stating that out loud. ...So long as they don't go overboard with their griping. That's what makes a difference between entitlement and just making a fair point.
Supposedly also re-did loot generation, rebalanced some combat and removed level locks for areas. But yeah, only minor changes. it's mostly just to revive the game in people's minds and start making DLC, one is already planned.
Are you seriously complaining about how much space this game is gonna occupy in your hard drive? Shouldn't you be complaining about the price? Like why the fuck they're charging $40 bucks for the standard edition and full price for the Fate edition while doing the lowest effort to remaster a 2012 game. Get a clue dude.
Less hard drive space spent equals more room for more games. Anybody here could just download the original, have thirty gigs left for anything else and lose nothing. My point is, for that much extra space I expect there to be more: new areas, new quests, anything.
30gb is nothing. i only have 8tb of storage in my pc with another 30tb of external drives. 30gb is not even worth the useless banter you keep posting. don't download it and please stop bothering people
People with limited space should either get more, or better manage what they have. File size is just about the most petty thing about a game to bitch about. The OP of this thread is being an idiot. It's his right to complain about it like an idiot, but it is also the right of everyone else to call him out for it.
Yeah but eternal drives can be bought on the cheap on certain holidays, like Black Friday...not like most people here are spending money on games, anyways...
I find it hilarious that the OP is arguing over 30gb to begin with. Someone should probably stick to consoles if 30gb is such a huge ordeal for him. Of all the things to complain about in the PC gaming industry...
"Hundreds of hours of RPG play await!" Wtf, it was like 10, max 15 hours straight game, and I don't think they add a content to this game, at least not to make it 10x longer.
So, if you really want to know what changed, here it is: Graphics Upscale FOV Slider New Difficulty (Very Hard) Changes to loot generation Small changes to fludity of combat And that was it.
