for those with exception problem after copying gamedat file from hoodlum folder to instalation directory and trying to run it : first.....open your notepad then copy this into it. AllHealthBars = yes AlternateMouseSetup = no AmbientVolume = 50 AudioLOD = High Brightness = 50 FixedStaticGameLOD = UltraHigh HasSeenLogoMovies = yes HeatEffects = yes IdealStaticGameLOD = Low IsThreadedLoad = yes MovieVolume = 70 MusicVolume = 70 Resolution = 1024 768 SFXVolume = 70 ScrollFactor = 50 StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh TimesInGame = 1 UnitDecals = yes UseEAX3 = no VoiceVolume = 70 then you save it as "option.ini" then you go to "C:\Users\Chaos\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth Files " copy paste option.ini to this folder. play! if you have not run the game and no exception eror occured, then the My Battle for Middle-earth Folder will not be created. you should run once after copying gamedat from hoddlum folder. and set the game as xp sp2 compatibility to better the graphic in-game. resolution can be set from option.ini too.
To install the game properly, unzip the downloaded file, I recommend using 7zip. Then open the ISO file, you'll just need to double click it unless you're running an older version of windows, once open run the setup.exe, when prompted use the serial keys in the "Serials" folder where the ISO was. Next find where the game is installed, if you didn't change any settings it should be in: Program Files x86 > EA games > The battle for middle earth (tm), in there you'll see the executable to open the game "lotrbfme.exe" but you'll get an error when opening it, to fix it follow the comment from Daniel Cruez about the .ini file that's missing
If you have this issue, just make Options.ini file and copy it in game AppData folder. It will solve the issue. Scroll down to see how to make Options.ini file.
when i try to install it i get this after 94% complete A problem occured when trying to transfer the file D:\Support\sv\lasmig.txt from the media Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation? i tried to copy it on my hard drive but then the installation won't work ... any ideas ?
Hey buddy, I just had the same stupid ass problem but it can be fixed. To fix it, copy the entire game from the disk and to anywhere you want then go into the folder look for support/sv/läsmig.txt and change it to lasmig.txt . When looked at mine it was not in english for some weird reason but mine works now hope it helps
Game works perfectly. If you have trouble with crack then make sure you read the guide properly in in Hoodlum folder after mount the ISO disk. Scroll to find creating Opions.ini file to fix Exception_Access_violation problem.
I can't get an installation folder to appear by running the lotrbfme.exe, so I have nowhere to put the game crack game.dat or options.ini to remove the insert disc 1 popup issue when i run the setup.exe file. Please help i'd kill to play this game again
if you want a written instruction, someone already figured it out 7 months ago and two months before the first video post post... just saying... its Harley Henderson's post and 10 times easier to follow
mount the ISO file, open "This PC", right click on "CD Drive ( :) LOTRBFME", choose "Open", right click on "Setup.exe", choose "Properties", select the "Compatibility" tab, check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", select "Windows 7" in the dropdown box, click "OK", right-click on "Setup.exe" again, choose "Run as administrator", and reinstall the game.
When i run the game it says : Unknown field 'TimeAfterDamageUntilRepairAllowed' in block 'GameData'. Error parsing field 'TimeAfterDamageUntilRepairAllowed' in block 'GameData' in file 'Data\INI\GameData.ini, line 62. Error parsing INI block 'TimeAfterDamageUntilRepairAllowed' in file 'Data\INI\GameData.ini'. Because of the severity of this error the game will now exit. I can't find this GameData. Can anyone help me ?
Create a folder in your PC and paste all the files of the CD into it. Then go to Suppor>sv>lasmig and rename the file. Worked perfectly for me, and now the game is running. Also, don't forget to past the hoodlum/hooldum, or whatever, files into the directory where your game files are installeed. You'll be good to go.
I Installed the game and copied the crack over. went to start it up and it starts working just fine but it suddenly crashes. i tried to find the options.ini in My Battle For Middle Earth files but there was nothing there so i couldn't change the options. i even tried to start it from any launcher i could find but it kept on crashing. the only thing i didn't do was register online but i'm not worried about that as i prefer a more casual approach. Please help me
Figured it out. had to run the game to let it crash to create the My Battle For Middle Earth file. i then had to create an Options.ini file. i followed these steps: First Create a text document (Right click on desktop and scroll down to New-> Text document) Then go to START -> type Folder Option press enter -> go to the View tab then scroll down and uncheck the box beside Hide extensions for known file types Then go back to your txt file and you should see the .txt extenstion on the end - just change it to a .ini You will still be able to open the file with notepad (just right click on it and select edit) Then copy Asprin9342's options into said folder and then start the game (Make sure the file is named Options.ini) Hope this helps People with the same problem
if i got it wrong then i'm sorry about my other post but all the games i download that need cracked i just look for the folder that has the cracked info in and post all other files into that one then i go to that folder and click on the exe and all the time it starts up and i play the game but that is for other games but try link google drive as the main download link because so far i have used that link and all games come out fine and ready to go
i find it easy to just copy all files into the cracked folder then click the exe one in the cracked folder it should just start right up i have had this happen with games that needed cracked but i found out if you see a folder or if you want to just copy all files and folders then past them into a new folder but if you see a cracked folder for example like undeadmil then copy all other files/folders then past them into the cracked name folder then click on the one that starts it up and should work fine if not then just copy and past all the files from the not cracked folder and past them in the cracked folder and then just click on the emblem that let either says exe or BFME.exe depends on witch game it is
Just mount the cd in downloaded files there will be a file that you can open with a notepad there will be the key for the installation. Once installed go to the mounted cd look for folder HOLLDIUM open it copy files from there paste them in the folder that you installed the game. or go to your desktop look for the game icon right click it, open file location and paste those two file in that folder that we just opened. Thtas how you do it but for me it doest work because the game is looking for a file that it doesnt have access to? anyone ca figure that out???
Hello buppan, I downloaded and already played the game. I also have issued on "No disc" and found the solution. you should copy "data.bat" from folder HOODLUM to installation directory. After you done that, there should be no problem to start the game. Glad to help and hope you can enjoy your game.
first.....open your notepad
then copy this into it.
AllHealthBars = yes
AlternateMouseSetup = no
AmbientVolume = 50
AudioLOD = High
Brightness = 50
FixedStaticGameLOD = UltraHigh
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
HeatEffects = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = Low
IsThreadedLoad = yes
MovieVolume = 70
MusicVolume = 70
Resolution = 1024 768
SFXVolume = 70
ScrollFactor = 50
StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh
TimesInGame = 1
UnitDecals = yes
UseEAX3 = no
VoiceVolume = 70
then you save it as "option.ini"
then you go to "C:\Users\Chaos\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth Files "
copy paste option.ini to this folder.
play!
if you have not run the game and no exception eror occured, then the My Battle for Middle-earth Folder will not be created. you should run once after copying gamedat from hoddlum folder. and set the game as xp sp2 compatibility to better the graphic in-game. resolution can be set from option.ini too.
If you write Option.ini, it will not work.
Then open the ISO file, you'll just need to double click it unless you're running an older version of windows, once open run the setup.exe, when prompted use the serial keys in the "Serials" folder where the ISO was.

if you get automatically defeated, try this, to fix the bug:
Unknown field 'TimeAfterDamageUntilRepairAllowed' in block 'GameData'.
Please reply goddamnit.
Edit: Nvm, got it.
Also, don't forget to past the hoodlum/hooldum, or whatever, files into the directory where your game files are installeed. You'll be good to go.
First Create a text document (Right click on desktop and scroll down to New-> Text document)
Then go to START -> type Folder Option press enter -> go to the View tab then scroll down and uncheck the box beside Hide extensions for known file types
Then go back to your txt file and you should see the .txt extenstion on the end - just change it to a .ini
You will still be able to open the file with notepad (just right click on it and select edit)
Then copy Asprin9342's options into said folder and then start the game (Make sure the file is named Options.ini)
