BIG NOTE: i dont do reviews. I do it only if the game is a masterpiece. Its true that is a boy x boy love game... But hear me out. I dont like yaoi so much. Im not homophobic either I just dont enjoy it that much. BUT HEAR ME OUT THIS GAME IS WORTH IT! This is a very good game with 3 endings: neutral in the first half, bad/”good” at the end. --The only thing thats frustrating its that the game does not have a ”skip” mode. its just some x2 mode (if you want to do all the endings it will take longer) --The game is animated. its like a full animated game but not really. the graphics are really cute and awesome --This game reflects SO DAMN WELL the reality we live in and some toxic relationships that take control over us; dont take me wrong the game is not that mushy mushy its just the fact that it hits you psychologically if youre thinking about it a little + if you apply those things in what you see everyday in your life --there are some creepy moments (animated) when your heart skips a little --the BG music and the music/sound effects in general in this game are S.U.B.L.I.M.E --the gameplay is a little active, like.. when youre having an intimate moment, you can pick one of the 5 senses and experience something with it. Also, its a short game so even if at the end of the day you didnt like it very much, its not a waste of time it took me like...4 hours (i think?) to do all the 3 endings (and like i said there is no skip soo you can go for one end in like...2 or 3 hours.) But if you like it.... i guarantee that you have what to learn from it and you should take notes from that good end, haha. So, just because it does not have a skip mode, i ll say 9.5/10 (because i cant take too much from the note just because of that, when the game is a masterpiece considering its length, story and controls)
"Character art inspired by Suehiro Maruo and Masaaki Yuasa" Didn't know who they are, but after googling, Suehiro Maruo's work looks interesting. Reminds me a bit of Junji Ito. That being said... this game looks nothing like it, at least when it comes to the screenshots on steam. EDIT: Oh yeah, this guy made "Midori" and while someone on YouTube talked about it, it also reminded me of Junji Ito. Heavy stuff, and when a game really looks like this, I play the hell out of it (and I know there already is a game on Steam... in EA). Reminds me that Ito seems to work on the next Kojima horror title.
Called ero guro nonsense! (Suehiro Maruo) Midori is masterpiece for sure! Well, I will check it out the game now. I saw some bad comments though, what do you think?
Yeah, I've heard the same about it, and nope, haven't watched it yet. Normally, I'm not a fan of books/mangas/reading and prefer watching movies instead, but with the J. Ito mangas, it felt like It was enough and watching the anime wouldn't lift the experience higher. Took me a while to find out about his work, and despite being done with Mangas and Animes, I nearly ate this stories. I couldn't imagine that reading stuff kept me from sleeping, but I felt in love with his style.
