Definitely start with the original Muv-Luv (also known as Muv-Luv Extra, which comes packaged with the sequel, Muv-Luv Unlimited). It's pretty much a requirement. While it may seem like a light-hearted romantic comedy, don't let it fool you. There's far more going on than what you may think, and it should become apparent once you get to the sequel, Muv-Luv Unlimited. And once you get to the third part, Muv-Luv Alternative, prepare to have your mind blown. It's widely known as the greatest visual novel of all time, and for very, VERY good reason. As for this one ... it's the (MUCH needed) epilogue to Muv-Luv Alternative, along with a few side stories thrown in. I'd recommend to start with the main trilogy. If you want to start it, go in blind. Don't go to any Muv-Luv discussion or youtube video. Also, one of the many reasons people don't enjoy this series is that they have unrealistic expectation in the first place. If you start blind and treat this vn like you would treat any other vn(with no expectation at all), you probably will enjoy it.

It's a continuous story and while Unlimited and Alternative do take place in a different universe, that doesn't mean the original can be ignored. Far from it. In fact, if you've read Alternative you'd understand why ignoring the original is a very, VERY bad idea (considering that dimension-hopping is part of the entire plot).

i dont think so, when sonome recomend a book spoil a litle of then, i read review of game to know how the game is and that spoil a litle of the games and etc.. I apreciate my time with the content and my experencie, i have no problem with spoiler they are part of life.
what i love art, my hobby is writing, but im not that pussy a opinion or major spoiler dont destroy the content, is like saying "oh man you spoiled the mona lisa to me now is trash..." people like you carfe to much about the ofensive part because alwyas want to be rigth about all.
