It's made with Unity, and it has super heavy backend, which causes rec spec to skyrocket. Hollow Knight which is not unimpressive in technical aspect still managed to slow down and stutter (going to 30-40 fps from 60) on Core i5 and GTX 660 until quite a few patches,

at this years everyone with a decent pc can handle hollow knight, unless they still with 32bit potatoes
