Before you launch the game, right click on UncleNeighbour.exe then click "Properties"
Head to Compatibility tab then click "Run compatibility troubleshooter"
Now there are two possibilities (depends on the troubleshooter result):
a. If you are prompted to "Test the program", click it before continuing. Otherwise if it says no issue detected, move on to point B.
b. Close the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter then head on UncleNeighbour.exe's Properties (similar to step 3) then on the Compatibility tab check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" then choose Windows 8, then click apply and try to run the game.
From step 5 above, if neither one of those works then it means everytime you want to play, you have to play it EXACTLY like those steps I explained (you have to play it using troubleshooter or else the title screen will be unclickable if you launch it directly via UncleNeighbour.exe).
(If firewall notification pops up, just check both of them then click "Allow Access").
Currently I'm using Windows 11, after inspecting the troubleshooter information it seems like the game isn't compatible with latest Windows version (either it's anti piracy things or the dev messed up the game code). But if I save the reccommended settings with Windows 8 then launch the game directly it's still not working, so the only way to play it is only by running it via compatibility troubleshooter.
It does work, but I only can play it when in troubleshooting mode and If I'm tryn to play directly double click the exe file, I can't click anything inside the game

Couldn't get this to work at all. I got past the white screen by launching in airplane mode and blocking it in the firewall, but I couldn't click on anything in the menu screen, it would get stuck on the launch where you enable/disable 18+. Completely unplayable. Tried launching with a steam emulator as well and that did not solve the problem.

So I moved steam_api64.dll and steam_appid.txt from Plugins folder to where the UncleNeighbor.exe is located and it fixed the white screen bug. Problem is now I've encountered another bug that I couldn't click anything on the menu screen. Apparently it has been a known issue by the dev himself on Twitter.
It seems like this game has some sort of anti piracy or something? I could just play fine two days ago until last night and today I can't pass the intro white screen :(
@roosevelt2362 Sorry, not sure if you are the right person but it seems the game doesnt work. White screen on startup and the issue has been reported by a few other members. There are reports elsewhere that a new antipiracy measure was used which is why this is happening. Just letting ya know, maybe someone on your side has a better clue of what may be happening?
I GOT THE GAME TO WORK!!!!! The problem here is that the game path is to long. You need to shorten it.
Extract the rar
Rename folders from "UncleNeighbor.Uncle.Dating.Simulator.Build.6015673" to "UncleNeighbor"
Put it in your root folder(Ex: D:\ or E:\ )
Root folder is the top most dierctory like D: or E: . So if you put the "UncleNeighbor" folder in it it's gonna be like "D:\UncleNeighbor" or "E:\UncleNeighbor".
I'd suggest you guys wait till the game's fixed,and also till the translation's better cause there's still some typos that can get pretty annoying and confusing for some people.

I can't do it right now but i will try installing the game on another laptop to check if my copy working is an isolated case. The guide should still work for other gaes though if you have a similar problem, I managed to fix Phoenix Wright and The Sims this way

I tried to make the game work on a different laptop and it worked, so i'll writ exactly what I did: 1)Upon extracting the game, windows antivirus mistook it for a virus, so i had to consent to avoid getting the exe removed. 2)Without launching the game, i went ad added the exception for the exe to block incoming and outgoing connections. 3)After launching the game I immedeately pressed the windows key to make the taskbar appear, since I knew a windows firewall notification would pop up. 4)When the firewall notification appeared I tried as fast as i could to deselect the option that was selected and press cancel to dismiss the pop-up window. 5)After the firewall window closed, i let the game load (it took a bit since it's an old laptop) and the game loaded up the main menu correctly. As I said in another comment, if you already tried installing the game, before you try again i reccommend delete the faulty copies, turn airplane mode on (to be sure the game couldn't receive a connection) and rebooted the laptop. After the reboot you can follow what I wrote. If this truly doesn't work then i am at my wits end so i advise you to search on some forums or subreddits if someone had a similar problem and managed to fix it.
Seems like game works to like 10% of ppl that download it and use your fix. At this point i am done lol,deleted all files that had to do with a game tried again 10+ times with guides,and still nothig. I'm sorry it doesn't work for you, I legit repeated what a guide to fix a non-working cracked copy of The Sims 4 to fix another game and ever since I've started doing the same thing with the other games and they all work. This isn't something i thought of, i simply shared what I found online out of goodwill, if you look on reddit or google there are some tutorial with everything i wrote here. I am not an expert so other than doing this i can't help you any further
It works for me! If anyone has problems then you probably should try blocking the exe in your pc's firewall, since the game might be trying to check the license from steam and upon seeing the copy of the game is cracked then it blocks itself. If you want to solve the problem then try as written below:
Delete the folder with the game but keep the original zip you downloaded adn a copy of your save files (the copy that doesn't work won't work even after we are done)
Extract a copy of the game in the folder you prefer BUT DO NOT LAUNCH IT
Open the advanced settings for windows firewall and add an exception for both public and private outgoing and incoming connections for the program in the specified path (In our case the exe used to launch the game). I recommend copying the path rather than selecting the exe as it has caused me problems in doing so. If you don't know how to do this, a quick search will yeald all you need to know.
After having added the needed exceptions we can finally launch the game as many times as we want even when we are connected to the internet!! Now go and CATCH'EM ALL THESE SLUTTY UNCLES! Have fun!!!! First of all, cool taskbar! How did you do it? Second: did you add the execptions for a new copy of the game before or after you launched it? If you still have the original zip you downloaded, i reccomend you put your pc on airplane mode, extract the game where you prefer, add the exceptions to the firewall and then try the game still in airplane mode a few times to see if it works. If it does then try connecting to the intenet and launch the game a few times. If after all this the game still won't load properly then I don't know how to help you, since it works for me. If your laptop has a second gpu then you could also try switching to it, although i wouldn't know if it'll change anything
