So, I recently started the game, and was having fun. I made it to a quest where you check the Nearby Cave for ninjas, but after a fight the game froze, and my computer completely crashed. When the computer reloaded I tried to launch the game, and the background (the "room") behind the Game Master and Title was completely black, and there was no music. I went to select my saved game, but all files were blank. I restarted the game and hoped it worked, even rebooted my computer. Saves all blank, menu still glitched. I uninstalled the game, removing all the files I found in the main folder for the game, and reinstalled the game after rebooting the computer. Save file still gone, so I gave up and clicked "New Game". Nothing. I can't even play the game anymore, at all. The music seems to come back when I click options, but it glitches and gives me all commands in "Xbox Controller" format (with colorful A B X button options) and doesn't let me do anything until I force the game closed.

So for those who are having trouble getting this game to play, due to the window crashing immediately after opening the game, I was having the same problem and here is how I was able to resolve it... First I downloaded and installed KoP&P. Then I installed KoP&P2 and copied all files into the KoP&P folder. Once the KoP&P2 files were moved, I ran the game and BAM! it worked. Not saying that this solution will work for everyone but it is certainly worth a shot!
if you use windows 10 and you trust the site, you can add a file to the exclusion list then download games to that file. (open the windows security--->open the virus and threat protection settings---> Exclusion)
after verification, the crack is already installed, just extratct the rar files and the game work fine..try reinstall directx and vcredist..that's the only help I can do.
The games have a crack inside, the AV usualy detect the crack as a virus (and try to delete game files) but there is no real virus. If this is a problem for you, buy the game. false positive my friend the crack is ALWAYS detected even within an archive TURN OFF anitivirus before opening file then install then play remember games from here are 100% checked and cleaned from real viruses :) cracks for games are always detected as a "virus" because of how its used to allow us to play the games. :)

50% of comments say it's a real virus, 50% say it's a false one...
Sigh, I won't push my luck...
