So, can anyone explain me how to bring the game to work? I downloaded the game via the Torrent link and installed it then with the CODEX setup. If I now open the Folder I installed the game into, I just have a bunch of files, one shader cache folder, and two executables. If I now open the Detroit Become Human executable, it redirects me to steam. I read something about applying the crack, but the game files didn't came with a crack I could put into the Main Game Folder. I only have this Problem with CODEX or PLAZA Files, RDR2 worked fine for me as it came with a Crack folder I just pasted into the main Game Folder. Any Help? *It's definitely not because my PC is to bad, so pls don't even think about that ;)

Hello, I recently downloaded a game on igg, I did all the .iso setup but when I want to start the game, the file steamclient.dll gets detected as a threat by my antivirus then gets deleted. Is there any chance that this file is indeed a virus or a malware ? Thank you

Just updated my rig from a 2nd gen Core I7 2600 to a Ryzen 7 3700X. I have a RTX 2080 and there's a terrible screen tearing on mouse movement, regardless of the game settings, even when using VSync. "FPS Limiter" is at 60 but the game stays at 59 fps no matter what, this is what causes the tearing (Vulkan renderer is causing this ?). This bug was not present in my old gaming rig. nVidia driver used v445.87 and it' a very stable driver for me. But I found a way to fix it! All you need to do is unlock the FPS in "GraphicOptions.JSON" (to 90fps or unlimited), and enable VSync thru nVidia drivers. Game is now a solid 60 fps and the frametime is steady at 16.6ms, no fluctuations and NO MORE tearing. Game is smooth as butter! :) Games running on DX11/DX12 do have this problem.

I play games with a Core 2 Duo E8500. ;-) 95% of time it's ok with new games. Sometimes need softwares or fix but it works. They just want us to always buy new stuffs! For the SSE 4.2 instructions for example, it's just an hexadecimal value to change, so dishonest from the developer! Or the popcnt instruction! It's blocks on this game, with a processor emulator of intel i can run it but with this trick it makes it unstable.
No crash, but when I switched from Win7 to Win10, this process got stuck at 99% freezing the game. I had to reinstall the game and delete save games and game settings.
I have no problem running the game and everything works well besides the spacebar action (action 8 I think?). I have a GTX1050, which has 2GB Vram and despite minimum requirement being atleast 3GB Vram I was able to fully play through the game on low settings. 3 or 4 times the graphics turned black/white and flickered and then I had to restart the game but outside of that I was able to play through everything with a solid 60fps.
When extracting all the zips (from MEGA) into one, theres always an issue with extracting part 7. Tried redownloading that part already...what can I do?
Im using an acer nitro with Ryzen 7, integrated rx vega10 Nvidia gtx 1650 16gb ram Installed on ssd I have read that the game needs to be install on a ssd but when i start with the default graphic card, the gtx 1650 the icon will appear but the game wont actually start, so i switch to the vega 10 and that seems to solve the problem. Don't know of this happens to anyone else or my graphic card is just shit 😶
i doubt that you need to strictly install this on a ssd thats mostly for games who use massive units,physics and things like sandbox games, mmorpgs and some strategy games

That may be related to many things, One thing for sure it's not comming from the game, Check the FAQ and ensure you have everything necessary installed on your computer.
I fixed it by reverting back to the previous driver. Go to device manager ==> display adapters ==> right click on your GPU ==> select properties and under the driver tab, select "driver rollback". The game worked great, I finished my first playthrough yesterday.
I found the fix, if this happens to you it is because of your antivirus or the default one given by windows like seaguard and avast, turn them off and it will work
can someone help me? i try playing this on my laptop Asus TUF FX505DY with ryzen 5 and radeon rx 560x 4gb graphics. THen even at 720p lowest settings my game gets constant lags, and i dont know what to do. i tried using BES, it did help a bit but not the best.
This game is quite optimized on my side though. i7-8700k 1070Ti, 1440p ultra at 60fps without dropping. Haven't played far enough (only 30m into the game) so I'm not sure about the later scenes but so far so good.
I get an error saying that my graphics card is not officially supported by the game and that it can likely crash or fail at launch but it still gives me the option to launch the game. I click OK but nothing happens, the game doesn't launch at all. Is there any way to launch the game or is it just impossible with my graphics card?
Freeze fault resolved. The driver is the cause of freezing and other bad functions. I have played a few long hours and it has not frozen again. Do not update the latest version of Nvidia. This has happened to me other times in other games. I do not know what happens with Nvidia every time you do an new update some games stop working.

So my PC actually can run every game, except this one xD after elevator scene it just freeze, and yes i actually got every driver (newest was 2 days ago for RTX 2070)
So far it only has freezing failure and sometimes I cannot interact with the character. I'm going to download it from another site to see if the failure is. Often times when compressing the game or trying to delete some data in order to reduce the weight of the game this can cause a malfunction in the game.
i had this problem 3 times so I was unable to play, but when I played kara first chapter in the house after a few minutes she suddenly walks to the end of the room and then i cant move her, and ctrl alt del even does nothing even though the game doesn't graphically freeze, still surrounding movement, audio working fine, but kara doesnt respond to anything on keyboard, anyone else having this issue?
Resolved by unpligging keyboard back into a usb2 port, it seems the keb s dropping out which only occurs in this game. Although the game does freeze up so that's annoying and have to restart it.

Got an RTX 2070S but an I5 4590 and while the frame-rate is stable, I got huge freeze spike every minute with my processor going out to 100% , even tho' it's at 60-70% stable inbetween... What ? I never ever heard of that, not a single time I've seen someone saying you will not be able to use these CPU and Motherboard on Win 7, not even on Win 7 video (like "people still use win 7 ? Here's why" kind of thing) , that would be a real problem for me. Hum I have GeForce Experience installed and it didn't gave me anything, I tried what you said and game is more playable now. I still got some lag spike or micro freeze, but it's still far better. Hopefully that will do the trick and give a playable experience. Thanks for that post.
I have an i7 and a GTX 1650. While there are times where the CPU usage spikes to 100% and the fan ramps up, i've thus far been able to play the game with no lag and no visual glitches whatsoever at a steady 60 FPS on medium settings. So it might be your CPU that's just not good enough
Could be but at the same time there is a bunch of people having issue, including people with high tier CPU, furthermore the recomended spec are met, since it ask minimum I5-2000 , without mentioning the fact (minor maybe but still) that the auto-selection/analyze for graphic setting in game put everythin to Ultra. So while my CPU isn't fresh and new, I think it would first impact my FPS and make the game slutter instead of actual Freeze , isn't it ? Maybe I'm wrong but I don't know what to think of this anymore :/
Depends, some games react differently. For example on my old rig that had an i5 i tried playing Star Wars Jedi fallen Battle and it would freeze for almost a minute every 5 or so steps i took

Am I being dumb? I downloaded the torrent version of Detroit Become Human, and installed it on my PC. I ran the setup as normal, got the stuff downloaded. Thing is, I went into the folder with the game's icon and clicked it, but came up with a few missing files (i.e. bink2w64.dll , libexpat.dll , libpad.dll , libScePad.dll). Anyone have a solution/explanation? Sidenote, the initial download was like 57 GB, but when I go to the codex folder and go to the installer its 58 something.

To anyone having the ISDone.dll problem: Download that .dll from a trusted .dll library and put it in Windows/System32 if you have a 32bit Windows or in SysWOW64 if you have it in 64.
58.7GB. But remember you need at least 3 times that space to store the downloaded files first, then the extracted ISO, and the temp files when it extracts.

Played it few months ago during the free period on PlayStation Plus, not bad if you want some story but as a game it will be Walking Simulator with QTE, but still boring as hell.
Gdrive works, you just need to have your own g drive account, then star the files, go into your account and make a copy of the stared files then download the copy. Otherwise use megaup
u have to download all part first, then put them all under the same location for example all of them in desktop, then just pick one of them and extract, they will extract all of it in order into 1 complete installer. then u can install the game proper
dunno what you're doing, are you selcting all parts and extracting together or trying to go, one by one, if the latter, do the former, if you DID do the former (selecting all the other. part01.rar, part02.rar, then all else fails just redownload

Yeah i downloaded all 11 parts and tried extracting with winrar and it said part 2 was corrupt. I deleted part 2 and redownloaded it but it still did the same thing
Don't have a antivirus on, I have around 400 Gbs of space, I downloaded it with bittorrent multiple times. It's probably something really dumb but if i can't find what it is i'll just reset my pc.

If the game is crashing on chapter 2 for you then it's your machine's fault, you probably only have a dual core CPU or are overclocking, those are the usual causes for that specific crash

I've done some research around google and plenty of people have presented plenty of workarounds. For example one solution i see often is this: "apparently the vulkan error code is because of an issue swapping in textures, so turn your graphics to the lowest you can.My game kept crashing in the motel after exiting the bathroom, so i restarted the game from the beginning and chose to take a different path When i was in the motel though, i did seem to get a bit further by pointing the camera towards the ceiling What i suspect is happening is a combination of the intel security updates (they hit the storage hard) and unstable overclocks, which isnt swapping in textures properly causing the cpu to hang an instruction and the game looping asking for the texture that never comes. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON WINDOWS 10, WITH ALL GRAPHICS CARDS UPDATED RUN THE GAME IN WINDOW MODE TURN OF GPU OVERCLOCKS ALSO"

I've actually already owned this game for months when Sony gave it away, just never felt the urge to play it...I just figured it was like any other David Cage "game" and I wasn't missing much since there are better movies out there.
Better than not being able to play at all. Plus if your repack truly takes days to install then you probably got a shit repack or a shit pc. All the repacks I've used took no more than 1 night to install (leave it on before you go to sleep)
I downloaded and installed the game ... 4 hours in total ... final ratio 3.52 to 1, then deleted the torrent. 1000 mbps here. Repacks make the computer unresponsive. I can limit the downloand and upload speeds to have a good connection and responsive computer while it downloads but lowering the priority on repack decompression makes it last forever, especially if you play another game. Not worth it.
There is mb and there is Mb ... megabits and megabytes. And if you got 1000 mbps you have 1000/8 Mb per second. It's not divided by 10, it's divided by 8. You're probably familiar with digi if you're from Hungary. Download never works close to 1000 mbps but upload does for some reason
Not if ray tracing gets up to speed. It makes a lot of artistic bullshit redundant. As i said, artists have lousy minds and it's complicated to explain how they do what they do but they're honestly stupid. Raytracing will eliminate many of these layers of stupidity that have accumulated in game design and will reduce game size

You do know that ray tracing only applies to lighting right? Not to actual textures. Ray Tracing is a rendering technique, it has fuck all to do with textures. And if anything it's just going to make games BIGGER, not SMALLER
I feel the smart-ass urge to correct you, ray-tracing applies to the way things are rendered. Which ray-tracing does using light-rays. But yeah ray-tracing might actually need more data, look at Minecraft RTX using bumpmaps, specularmaps and more. All for the ray-tracing to work.
To put it simple for you guys. Ray tracing will eliminate a lot bullshit information from your downloads. To achieve a given measurable level of realism, a raster renderer uses more input data then a ray tracing renderer. That input data has to be downloaded. And that's about it, i can't put it anymore simpler.
So you are telling me ray-tracing somehow gets albedo, bump, displacement, refraction, specular, roughness, transmission, subsurface and emission maps out of thin air? Damm you definitely look like you ever touched a Ray-tracing renderer. Ill just quickly shut the fuck up then. I must be retarded. The hilarious part is when you are so sure of yourself. And anybody should be able to see the ray tracer will use less input info. Anybody remebers that unreal apartment demo? Before RTX was out. It's on Youtube. How much extra light information do you suppose it's baked into those textures to make the entire thing look that realistic? How stupid is that ... no extra data needed? It needs extra data input to achieve a comparable level of realism with ray tracing. Ray tracing IS THE PROCEDURAL GENERATION... the ray tracing algorithm generates more information about the enviorement automatically with less input about the enviorement. Cube maps for the mirrors in that demo? I don't know, you tell me, you're the effin expert. And how many of these artistic means are used in games to achieve great visuals?
So where did I talk about cubemaps? Also, let me quote myself "FYI, Ray-tracing needs exactly the SAME data, unless its all procedural generated." but in games this will mostly be baked automatically unless animated to safe on performance. Thus you still need the textures. Raytracing will not make you need more or less data, data does not get generated out of nothing. All raytracing does is shoot a lil lazer and go on to the next pixel and repeat. Still needs most of the data a regular rasterizer would need. Also, there are better options than cube-maps nowadays, depending on the situation.
Btw that is about information entropy. Basically in that architectural apartment demo, the baking process will considerably increase the textures size compared to ray traced real lights cos many of the textures are highly uniform. But if the enviorement was something like a delapidated post war apartment the baking process has less of an impact on texture size, possibly none. But the general rule is an increase in file size.
Do you know how information is compressed? A white wall is theorerically compressed as the number of times the colour white repeats. The entire wall texture information can be an integer. Now bake light information into that white and see how you can compress that best. Figure it out how to make that back to white.
I'm not even talking about baking light. Bruh You do not bake the light as that would make ray-tracing for illumination useless. I'm talking about normal, color, displacement and other information. Those "layers of stupidity" can't be created out of thin air. And the ray-tracer will still need that. Also, GPU compression (for example texture data) works a whole lot different than regular compression. So mentioning the theoretical compression would be fine for a JPEG, but it will definelty not be transferred to your GPU as a JPEG lmao.
That's what i said, it's a rendering technique that produces very realistic lighting and shadow effects. And it's not even more data that it needs, it will need more power as it's very heavy on the CPU so it's definitely not going to be for everyone and i doubt it will become the norm for a VERY long time. Also i've been getting eom rather contradicting information about this game's requirements some sites say it's a recommended of an i5, others say an i7, it's so weird
You should never trust recommended specs tbh. It's almost never good. But I mainly meant technically it is just light but in reality you replace how everything is rendered and handled in real ray-tracing. Its a true to life representation of light and rendering. With enough skill you could remake something 1:1 like the real-life object. Kinda felt like you understated ray-tracing a bit. :D
Well i did do my research, it's really not hard to find detailed information on the subject. And yeah i tested the game, it works smooth on my rig(i7 9th gen, Nvidia gtx 1650 4gb, 8gb ram) though at times i notice my CPU usage goes up to 100% and the fan kicks in hard
They bake the texures to achive realism. On top of other dumb artistic means like LOD models that come with their own set of textures and i could think of many others dumb means to achieve realism that ray tracing will eliminate.
Lol @ you being dumb enough to call LODS "dumb artistic means". Ray tracing isn't going to eliminate the need for LODS. LODS are purely for geometry detail. The textures included with LODS are absolutely minimal by design.
Extra mesh and texture data that isn't needed by a ray tracer cos the level of detail is given by the number of rays not by the number of polygons. One full detail mesh can be used at any distance. The more distance, the less rays reach the camera, the less rays are computed. Simple and it works. Unlike LODs that do require an artist to put some effort in creating them.

Since they probably spent a pretty penny on it, it would make sense if they wanted to take advantage of it, no? Hence why some developers are starting to shift and include 4k textures, otherwise there wouldn't be much of a market for it... That being said, 2TB HDD are relatively cheap nowadays, just buy one and it will solve your space problems.
It's not "Useless" data and it's not just 4k textures. It's textures, it's music, it's voice files, it's engine files, it's everything. Games will only get bigger and bigger in terms of gigabytes, get used to it
Yes the Epic Games store version has Denuvo. Or had when the game first launched. Since the Steam version doesn't have it it's possible that it was also removed from the Epic Store version

The Witcher 3 on GOG was truly DRM free since you got the installer which could be used to install the game anytime and anywhere even without going through your GOG account and client. It had zero protection or security checks past the initial download through the client. The STEAM version however had the standard steam certification checks to install meaning you needed STEAM installed and an account with the game purchased to install or update it (not to run it tho) which is technically DRM. You can't back-up or make copies of the installer to use later without STEAM so if STEAM ever shuts down you no longer have access to install the software again. Anything that allows them to control the use and distribution of the software is DRM by definition. Calling it DRM free is like calling the games that come with CD/product keys to install DRM free which isn't true. Just because it's a light (and very ineffective) form of DRM instead if the annoying and intrusive always online or checks every time it runs type doesn't make it not DRM. The console versions of the game all also have all the same Disc copy protections as standard which are a form of DRM. Tho I don't think any console game has ever actually released without those.
You may be in for a dissapointment then, i bought that one without checking it out first and i feel like i wasted the money. It is very arcadey and the story is really not that interesting. I saw a trailer once where the attacks really looked good but actually it is all happening so fast that the only thing you notice is the enemys healthbar.

If I now open the Folder I installed the game into, I just have a bunch of files, one shader cache folder, and two executables. If I now open the Detroit Become Human executable, it redirects me to steam. I read something about applying the crack, but the game files didn't came with a crack I could put into the Main Game Folder. I only have this Problem with CODEX or PLAZA Files, RDR2 worked fine for me as it came with a Crack folder I just pasted into the main Game Folder.

If you're using a laptop, make sure to install the manufacturer's own video driver, not one downloaded from the nVidia or AMD website.
But I found a way to fix it! All you need to do is unlock the FPS in "GraphicOptions.JSON" (to 90fps or unlimited), and enable VSync thru nVidia drivers. Game is now a solid 60 fps and the frametime is steady at 16.6ms, no fluctuations and NO MORE tearing. Game is smooth as butter! :)
Games running on DX11/DX12 do have this problem.
According to this thread, your graphics card needs to support Vulkan 1.1 and you need to update your video driver.

I have read that the game needs to be install on a ssd but when i start with the default graphic card, the gtx 1650 the icon will appear but the game wont actually start, so i switch to the vega 10 and that seems to solve the problem. Got an RTX 2070S but an I5 4590 and while the frame-rate is stable, I got huge freeze spike every minute with my processor going out to 100% , even tho' it's at 60-70% stable inbetween...

I have intel E7500 which is dualcore, and thus described problem might happen. I actually have also an idea how to get around this but it's nothing sure.

When i was in the motel though, i did seem to get a bit further by pointing the camera towards the ceiling
What i suspect is happening is a combination of the intel security updates (they hit the storage hard) and unstable overclocks, which isnt swapping in textures properly causing the cpu to hang an instruction and the game looping asking for the texture that never comes.

Thus you still need the textures. Raytracing will not make you need more or less data, data does not get generated out of nothing. Also, there are better options than cube-maps nowadays, depending on the situation.
You do not bake the light as that would make ray-tracing for illumination useless.
I'm talking about normal, color, displacement and other information. Those "layers of stupidity" can't be created out of thin air. And the ray-tracer will still need that.
Also, GPU compression (for example texture data) works a whole lot different than regular compression. So mentioning the theoretical compression would be fine for a JPEG, but it will definelty not be transferred to your GPU as a JPEG lmao.
But I mainly meant technically it is just light but in reality you replace how everything is rendered and handled in real ray-tracing. Its a true to life representation of light and rendering. With enough skill you could remake something 1:1 like the real-life object. Kinda felt like you understated ray-tracing a bit. :D
