Having played a bit of this ... honestly, Blackguards was better. Sure, character creation is sweet. but the actual game is real time combat, and you have idiot npcs who follow you. Yeah. It's just not good. It's a shame as I love the setting.
The Dark Eye universe has two of the greatest underrated RPGs ever, Drakensang and The River of Time. Chains of Satinav and Memoria were also great. Blackguards 1&2 were good but needed more content. I hope this one is great too.
I'm not really into Tactics games, so Blackguards was a pass for me. I want a proper Das Schwarze Auge RPG again like the trilogy made by Attic Entertainment (Guido Henkel and others). Actually, I just got the Big Box version of Blade of Destiny for my collection as I only had the jewel case only value release. Now I only have to find the Big Box version of the third one, which is very rare. the butchered "Remakes" do not exist! Got the adventure games from Daedelic and the Drakensang games too, but the original trilogy will always hold a special place in my heart.

When I was choosing which adventure game to buy from Daedelic I opted instead with 'The Pillars Of The Earth' [since it looked like it had longer gameplay] and completely forgot about 'Chains of Satinav' which was my second choice. Is it really that good (like top 5 Best of Daedelic level good?) and did you also play the sequel 'Memoria?'
