If you're like me and you're trying to run this game in 2022+. here's a couple of tips:
This game does not run on AMD GPU's at all. It just shows a black screen. Something to do with Physx dependencies. Current gen Nvidia cards still work fine, and apparently Intel Integrated ones do too.
The game doesn't appear to be cracked, or if it is, it's non functional. Go to GameCopyWorld and get the Darkest of Days v1.0 [MULTI7-RETAIL] No-DVD/Fixed EXE, put that in the game folder and it'll run fine.
The game is german, To change that you select the fourth main menu option down (Einstellungen) and in that menu click and drag downwards on the second drop down menu (Sprache) and change it to English, then click the bottom left option (Annehemen) and restart the game.
I think that's everything to get the game running. I haven't managed to run into any further issues.
