I mean... Cheat engine is free. You can see it as a donation to buy the DLC, unless they were dumb and forgot that CE is a thing. It's 50/50 Edit: It's actually not that terrible when I think about it, EA does this A LOT but in a more subtle (or not?) form. Loot crates... Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain did something way worse. So all in all, paying for cheats is way better than paying for an advantage... Shadow of mordor also did something similar, while not needed, it had the same concept.
