you're not wrong. a lot of them are either trash, plotless, nukige, yuribait or simply don't know what to do with their story. a lot of jrpgs are also suffering with this: too much grinding and too little story. nier:automata was the last jrpg AAA game that was successful. same with gacha games even. trash gameplay and the only good thing it came out of is the anime waifus. but at the end of the day you still need to dig into the good ones.
