2/10. A big disappointment. The concept sure looks cool, though. But I'd rather play the original HOMM games, or even the more recent King's Bounty, which are vastly superior. (or X-com if you prefer this, but personally, I feel there are more similarities with the ones I mentioned.) This one has severe RNG problems(enemies are much more lucky than you in general), a terribly cliche story which doesn't take itself seriously, and lots of stereotyped characters. Btw, anybody else really tired of the very childish humor in games lately? I'm talking especially about breaking fourth wall constantly, or using MEMES in games... Sometimes, it feels like the game aims at 5 year old instagram users. This is such a major turn off... Also, not a fan of the low-poly 3D which makes the game look like the original Warcraft 3 from... 2003, I think? I like beautiful 2D like the first HOMM games, or beautiful 3D like recent games... But this simplified 3D reinforces the feeling of playing a mobile game. By the way, this game doesn't seem to have quicksaves. When you're used to play comfortably Heroes III + HD mod, it's difficult to enjoy this. Edit : to be fair, I see that the developer is still improving the balance, and some very big problems have already been fixed.
I played on legendary .... met 3 goblin archers ... I overwatched .. they overwatched ... I overwatched again ... they overwatched too ... kept going like this for 20 turns ... god damn it
