1st 3 missions done. And there's no frigging new gun!! And the medals are impossible to get, i think you need to return later there. I miss the mutant Year Zero like a semi open world, not just mission then back to the mission hub -_-
I have unlocked what I think is the last mission of the game (last mission of 3rd operation) and so far you only get one other silenced weapon (silenced pistol) and and a few other weapons. shotgun, chain gun, flame thrower and sniper of which only the chain gun is somewhat useful for stealth approach as the others just deal too little damage to be worth. This game had a lot of potential, I just don't know where it all went wrong.
Judging from what you said, the issue has to be weapon balancing. Because anyone would prefer sniper rifle for stealth kills, yet it deals less damage than chain gun.
The problem with the sniper rifle is that it is too noisy like any weapon that is not silenced and yes it deals the same amount of damage as the silenced pistol and silenced rifle. The chain gun is useful for stealth kills because it deals a huge amount of damage and can hit multiple units at the same time. The game has this weird "noise" system where it is hard to tell how far is "far enough" for noisy guns and explosives to be not heard by other enemies. but if you kill an enemy or group of enemies that are far enough away from other enemies with the chain gun/other noisy methods it would still work as a stealthy takedown. One of the issues I have with the game is the lack of rewards/progression. Your troops do not level up. you barely get new weapons that are useful and the implants you get are meh. Finishing a mission is not rewarding and it does not give me that I want to "play more" addicting feeling because there is no reward and the story is razor thin.
Mutant Year Zero, only with none of the creative stuff or compelling story. You are playing brainless cyberzombies and killing normal people. All the powers are pretty much the same, all the mechanics are pretty much the same. Clearly no money put in it though. Basically just updated character models.
The RNG is this game is broke, stay away until they figure out balance and line of site. Enemy's can shoot you, but you cant shoot them. Accuracy is broke, over-watch function is broke.
