Hey! I am 5 months late so you may already have found out about it, but you're supposed to run the steambackup.exe and not the normal setup.exe. Then you put the crack in that file and should be able to play.
It is, If its preventing the game from starting you should add the game folder in your anti virus's exluded list so it doesnt scan it. More info on the FAQ.
Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

when setup finishes it asks me for steam i hit cancel and game is not installed
