Hoping for a decent strategy game (It's not a strategy game) idk why they tag it that way but the strategy tag is misleading the card stuff is not that in depth and it's super optional it doesn't effect anything and you can just skip it
I know some folks here don't like text games, but I'm glad someone keeps uploading them nonetheless. I enjoy reading and these text games are right up my alley, this one even comes with a twist (card game). Keep up the good work! :)
Whatever... But, they should at least categorise the text-based 'games', as with the "visual novels". Most look for actual games -- and having to scroll through reams of these e-comic / "choose your own adventure" e-books, is... well:
go buy the games then. Don't complain that you might have to put more effort into searching for games that we are supposed to pay for, but get for free because of these awesome people. Also, this is not a text based game. It's got card battling elements to it, and visuals, with a choose your own adventure type story. That is besides the point I was making.
Except most text-games around here are usually tagged for what they are, so this isn't really about proper categorization, is it? Or are you saying a gamed tagged as "text-based" isn't clear enough? This one is actually an exception but that's because whoever uploaded it didn't tag it correctly... it's not the game's fault. No, from what I've read, most people who leave negative comments on these games do so because they have a beef with them. In their minds these aren't "real" games and therefore should stick to the phone market instead of being uploaded here. Someone actually said this. To each their own, I, however, disagree entirely with that sentiment and I'm glad the uploaders think so as well.
Because this isn't a text game, this is an adventure and/or simulation game. Adventure is like Leisure Suit Larry, I see visual novels usually tagged under adventure as well. Text games are those "Choice" games that pop up, they have little to no graphics/pictures.
Then that's entirely the fault of IvoryOwl here for saying that it's a text game and praising whomever keeps uploading text games, because it was them saying that that I was addressing.
I played this game yesterday and it honestly felt more like a VN than a "traditional" text-based game. I have no idea where the simulation part comes in but since the game isn't finished yet (episodic) it is something that could be added later on. Unless the simulation here means something completely different from what I'm thinking. My method of browsing through this site consists of looking through the latest releases and using the search function to look for a specific game. I never really payed much attention to the categories. If folks want text-games to be sorted and categorized properly they could always ask the moderators to take it into consideration.
