This was hot garbage! I can only recommend this is you want more screen time of the other characters like Ruka or Suzuha but I just can't! even the previously mentioned ones are bad considered YOU DON'T EVEN GET A KISS! And the Ruka route literally detracts fr0m its original narrative trajectory because Okabe has a schizo moment! overall 5/10 has some funny moments but there ain't much meaningful unless you chose the 2 main characters (like the fucking casual you are). Conclusion? if you are a Kurisu Kuck, you will be eating good tonight!
original steins;gate i suppose, you could play elite if you want steinslgate but with the anime art style and animations; this isn't part of the original story; i highly recommend the visual novel for steins gate 0, seeing as it's much better htan the anime adaption, though still has its flaws
well, something i can see is, you never care about your character in a game as long as you can win the game. yeah, good luck with playing suikoden series-alike to get the good ending. not to mention sometimes visual novel could give a lot of headache for not paying attention to other character interaction to the player character that could end up in forking for two or more bad ends
Hey, can somebody explain to me how I can change the game's language to Japanese? I tried putting japanese or ja in the steam_emu.ini file but it didn't change anything. Do I need any extra files or something?
You know that, saying all of that, you literally said nothing right? So what about this. Lets agree to disagree, to me they are games and to you they arent. Ok?
Not trying to start a discussion here, just purely asking. Is it kinetic or choice driven? Please I don't want or need any praise of the Steins,Gate series etc yada yada, just wanna know it's kinetic or not! Thank you all!
Why are you being so close minded? An interactable book isnt kind of a game? The choose your own adventure books are not games also? Something can be a bit of one and a bit of the other. Do you also have a problem with games that are almost movies and you watch more than you play? The fact that you interact with the story even if you dont change or shape it, still makes it a game.
Visual Novel is a mix of book, graphics, music, effects and sometimes there are elements of game embedded in it with choices. I myself think that Visual Novel stands as it's own as it's neither a game nor application, especially if it is a kinetic novel. An interactive book might also be categorized as a visual novel IMO. As why people tends to categorize VN as a game, it's because it's use/value is closer to those of a game rather than an Application. Even the erotic ones has it's own genre called eroge which literally translates as erotic games in japan. Of course you may still question why it's called a game... but it's somehow like a community standard, you can't really know why it's a game. Have you also questioned why apples are called apples in english? It's the same reason, many people agreed to call it a game.
Luna Vu and Roxas already said why Visual Novel is a game. And then you said like we have no idea what we're saying. So, tell me what is game meaning ? If you're genius enough.
that's a kinetic novel then, ones where you are actually just reading and not making any choices would be a kinetic novel, visual novel involves making choices inside the novel that can change something in it.
because back in the days mostly visual novel have a choise, and you as player must make that choise. that is the 'game' part of visual novel, like 'what if' movie. but recently we have this 'kinetic novel' that didnt have much choise and just tell you story only one version of it. just play visual novel that have multiple ending or bad ending in it.
Glad to see this one, but going to skip it as it just a comedy/slice of life and doesn't really add anything to the mythos of SG. It's fun, but don't expect it to build onto the story.

It keeps popping up whenever I click install, at the setup.
