Boys I think it's about time I take a trip down memory lane. I've only beaten Halo 2. All of a sudden I wanna go through the whole thing, at least before they put clothes on Cortana.
It's only Halo 1 and Reach because this place is great at updating, but the other games are on this site too so that's no huge deal. So far no issues. No online obviously (maybe private servers?), but I'm just in this for the campaigns so no complaints there. One cool thing is that in Halo 1 you can hit a key to switch between the xbox graphics and the updated graphics in real time.

help game crashing after starting a mission. I can only get to the menu and navigate freely but when i start a mission either it be from the campaign or custom the game instantly crashes and i just don't know what to do

The way these Halo games are packed makes it really confusing for anyone new to Halo that wants to play them in order. It totally turns me off to Halo.. I think I'll just let Halo be one of those franchises I skipped.

Halo 3 sort of has a confirmed release date on the steam page. I only linked the bundle page. It said late summer. So maybe sometime in July or August by my guess.

You clearly don't know much about optimizing console games for PC.Not to mention the PC port for MCC was outsourced to a smaller developer because 343 was focused on Halo: Infinite (6). Both development of MCC (for PC) and Halo: Infinite were late because of the Chinese Flu.

If you've read the tutorial, and watched the pictures, you should know , there is more than just run codex setup. And "The Outer Worlds" no need crack, that is why working just with install. Have a look again.

Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3/ODST, Halo 4 are still being optimised by microsoft. They don't release until April or May. I have a 3 month trial for Game Pass and they are not on there either.
can we finally play all the campaign ? (i had download this crack when there were just 4 parts and when we had just the Reach campaign) Is somebody knowing how we can just upgrade the game with the two new parts without having to re-install all the product ?
I can't launch the game :( I tried starting it from the start menu, even with as adminstrator and also tried running the exe in Binaries too but nothing happen, not even errors. I guess my PC just can't handle this game.
Most reviewers don't have any quality standards and just add your typical "HALO MASTERPIECE" or "YOU KNOW WHY WE ARE HERE?!" reviews and have never played either the original PC ports or any Halo title on Xbox before. Filter for negative reviews only to get serious reviews pointing out all the issues with this lazy af port. Also if you are out of the loop the developers left this collection totally broken for over 3 years on Xbox One before realizing "Hey, let's fix it and port it to PC for more $$$", but only after shutting down a fan-made game called ElDewrito that was basically Halo 3 multiplayer on PC (nicely working too, with server browser, community content and all). They didn't even fix it properly then, it's still broken (and dead) on Xbox. I'm happy I got this here for free when I noticed horrible floaty mouse inputs compared to my original Halo CE 2003 version as well as audio and music bugs. Back in November I was also part of the beta for Reach PC, reported lots of bugs. Game released with ALL bugs still in the game and all my reports got closed by an automated bot telling me all the bugs have been fixed. The same thing seems to have happened with CE now, devs just don't give a F.
I ended up downloading from somewhere else. I dont know what it is with IGG but they can be the first place to get new games, but can also be really late with certain new games, compared to elsewhere. They still havent uploaded 'Overpass' yet and its been out like a week everywhere else. Not hating or anything, this site is my no.1 site for games, it just puzzles me sometimes, especially with huge games like this.
You should ignore the file mcclauncher.exe in CODEX, it is not needed. The launcher of the game is in Halo The Master Chief Collection Halo Reach\MCC\Binaries\Win64
Ok, so ive got a complaint: this is NOT halo: mcc, this is only the reach dlc. Its either one of the betas of mcc, or for some reason it doesnt have halo 1 to 4 in it. Seeing by the size of the file, the other games just arent here, MCC is 64 gb, this one is 26gb, which is the size of reach. Please fix the misleading title to Halo MCC: REACH, or reupload a full version, thanks.
That's because the other games will be released over the year of 2020 as DLC because they haven't even been ported yet, Halo CE likely in March, Halo 2 after that and so on. Can someone help us? My game also doesn't start. When i first opened the game it brought me to steam (which is fairly common because i forgot to copy crack) but the first screen was right there. Then i copied crack and suddenly my PC acts as if i never clicked the app. It just doesn't react to me trying to open it. I tried level 1 troubleshooting (aint no expert) and running as administrator, that and running both applications in the rar (the main one and mcclauncher from the crack folder) and one gives me createprocess() failed error and the other just doesnt start. Halp

Ensure you didn't download an ad by mistake, Game files should be 5GB each part and of a RAR format. If it doesn't match this description then you likely got an ad.
It definitely wasn't an ad. It was all 4 .rar files about 5 gigs each. I followed the directions for unpacking and installing the game, and it came out as an .iso. After mounting the iso using daemon and unpacking it, my windows defender flagged the default launcher as containing a trojan. Microsoft defender is full of shit half the time. IGG posts safe games. I have over 30 from this site ZERO viruses. Just make sure you don't download a megaup ad.
Not really trying to talk you into being a fan or anything but just letting you know this: This is a collection of the original games with Halo Reach being the only playable one until they fix the others after fan backlash from them doing a shitty job with porting them. I've never played Reach myself either. They aren't supposed to look amazing, just scaled up a bit. That's all my dude. Also, appreciate the other game suggestions. I'd love to check some of those out as well.
Joys of pirating my friend :) They might update with patches that you can just install on top of the game files but as most cracks go. You have to redownload and install it all. Skyrim is the only game that I've seen have patches.

You don't have to harass everyone, and its not like we have that much money to spend on games. I spend some money on games, and just because a new game comes out that I want to play doesn't mean that I will buy it/have money to. And a lot of people who use IGG want to test out the game to see if they like it before they buy it, including me.

These guys are such assholes ay. I crack and pirate hundreds of games but I tend to buy them if I enjoy them. This game is one that should be bought because you can't play multiplayer. AC, like you I came to see if it had been cracked properly yet. Cos I have windows version and wanted to see if there is the steam version that I can mod. if i were you id buy this legit on steam or Microsoft store, i cannot trust a cracked MCC because you have to be able to login a Microsoft account. and with the anti cheating software and etc and fyi how would anyone want to play a cracked game with no online feature? sure you might need an update to multiplayer but the only way to obtain armour progress is through that.

Actually i did buy the game, but i pirated it onto my school tablet and the singleplayer works good but me and my friends want to have a group game of infection in class- the xbox companion app is blocked so we cant figure out a way to join eachothers games
I highly doubt you will be able to play MP. It used xbox live and EAC, which are both required for MM. You can probably use hamachi or port forward a lan game with friend but otherwise $10 is the way.

Is it still using the SSE crack? My save file was working with CODEX but then multiplayer doesn't work. If I jump to the SSE crack, multiplayer works but then it doesn't save

you must have all the parts first. Put all the different parts in the same folder, then create a folder and chage the name to "game" (just for a correct arrangement). For the following steps you need winrar or 7zip. Select the first part and in the menu wich has appear select "extract here" (this will normally start the extraction of all the different parts.After that if you have a .exe file, start it and make your installation stettings (folder paths,etc.) (you can use the "game folder" that you've created before). When the installation is complete, look at the first extracted folder (if there is a "crack" folder, open it and check if there is no files wich you have to drag in the installation folder. Now you normally can start the game or games.

if its LAN, it should work because you are playing on your network. but if you want to play with people on other side of the world or something like that with LAN, you need an app like for example Hamachi.

When I launch the game, it says Launch Error, Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed. Important detail- I downloaded it on an external hard drive connected to my main computer, and then transferred it onto my school tablet. Is there a fix, or a way to get the game to launch without Easy Anti-Cheat?
Oooooooh that Bloom !!!! Bullet-dispersion-bloom ! Accuracy lost through sustained fire and movement ! My bad. I was so focused on the visual side of things... I think they did a good job of implementing it without overdoing it ? Weapons lose a bit of accuracy but still feel tight and precise. It works for me - YMMV as they say. It adds a certain level of uncertainty to the firefights - and I understand why to some it can be a betrayal to the spirit of old school FPSs. Me ? I like the risk/reward it adds (shooting while moving is less precise but shooting standing still is a bad idea if you like your armor/head without holes).
First things first - I'm not passionate about it I just enjoy it for what it is - a really tight shooter with the freedom to tackle tactical situations anyway I like. I'd say I'm enthusiastic maybe ..? Anyway - I like the new look. Bloom included - it adds some shininess to an otherwise pretty bleak color palette. Thank God there is no Depth of Field - that is something I really dislike in almost every game out there. Takes a while to get used (again) to the slight "floatiness" of the controls - compared to modern shooters I mean. And the vehicles' controls take time to adjust to. They tightened it for this version - but it's still far from perfect. A pretty good intro for the bundle I'd say.
When I am trying to launch the game i get errors that XINPUT1_3.dll, X3DAudio1_7.dll and XAPOFX1_5.dll are missing. I tried downloading there from another site and game starts but has no sound at all. Can somene help me?
Not sure,but try installing direct x again(it should be in one of the gamefolders but not always,otherwise you can find it microsoft),if possible update soundcard.i hope it helps.Also installing all VCredist packages can help,just search in the net(often findable in games,too).
When you try to change some file from [v] Read Only and it does not allow you, it means the folder that houses the object you are trying to change permissions, also needs to have its permissions overridden. Check the above folders on the tree and see if it works.
Maybe - and it's a big maybe - if you installed the game on your root directory (like C: for example) you need to move the game to another place (like c:\games). OR (and it's another big maybe) try launching the game with admin rights (right click on the launcher). my bad he said that already. It's probably an access rights problem : your game needs to write files to save and obviously can't.

There you should find a folder called "STEAM" then inside there is a CODEX folder and inside again there should be a folder called 976730 Tell me if you're there or if something is missing - I will wait here for your answer.

Ok so that's the problem !!! There needs to be a 976730 folder to save the game. As I thought - your game can't seem to create it. The probable work around is : right click the "CODEX" folder and in properties (bottom of the menu probably) you need to find the "security" tab. Click "EDIT" ("to change permissions blablabla edit"). Then for SYSTEM you need to tick "full control" and it'll tick all the boxes. Do it also for "administrator" and for your account (if any). Then click "apply". It could take some time. Finally - go back to "properties" and on the "general" tab uncheck the "read only" tag. Once again - apply. If all goes well - no error message or anything - I think it's gonna work. If something pops up (can't access blablabla) and you can't do it then I'm sorry but it's above my meager pay grade... Try all that and tell me if it's fixed ? I'll check my disqus regularely untill you tell me just to be sure. Good luck !!!

Either you installed the former release OR your antiv1rus blocked the crack. If you installed the game by copy-pasting the files from the archive without an iso installer - don't bother and download the CODEX one so you won't have to identify via Xbox shenanigans. If you installed from the CODEX iso and got this result, then you need to manually install the files from the CODEX folder (on the iso) to the game and whitelist the launcher (MCC-Win64-Shipping.exe) in your anti v1rus. Or plain and simple disable your antiv1rus before launching the game.
What do you mean former release? I downloaded the one from the torrent above and I only had an archive, no ISO, with the game directory and no crack folder. I get the XBOX prompt.
Here goes : You need to get an iso called "codex-halo.the.master.chief.collection.halo.reach.iso". The torrent will give you that - I have no clue about the parted files on Google drive and such. If you have an archive which contains the games files then it's the wrong release. You could play with an xbox account it seems (no idea if it's true but somebody said so earlier). Anyway, once you get the iso - mount, install and check if your AV deletes the crack. In which case : copy the crack from the CODEX folder and whitelist it in your AV. If not clear : ask again I'll try to be better at explaining.

Every time I try to open the game an error pops up saying that the entry point has not been found, as I am genuinely retarded I don't know how to fix this. Help would be much appreciated.
Did you check if your anti virus erased the crack ? It usualy happens. If so you need to install it manually from the iso - CODEX folder I believe. And then whitelist it in your anti virus. If any step needs explaining just ask.
First you need to be sure you installed the game from an ISO - not just copied the files. To be clear : you need a file called "codex-halo.the.master.chief.collection.halo.reach.iso" with an installer. If you just had files in an archive then redownload the game - the new release from CODEX is up.
If you're ok on that front, you need to go inside the iso you mounted and look for a CODEX folder : right click on the mounted ISO and "open". Then inside the CODEX folder you'll find mcclauncher.exe and an MCC folder.
Copy-paste these two in your game directory. It should overwrite files and ask for a permission to do so.
Double click mcclauncher and it should start.
If mcclauncher disapears somehow then your antiv1rus is the culprit : you need either turn it off each time you wanna play this game (or it'll delete the files again) OR whitelist the mcclauncher.exe file The process of whitelisting is different for every AV so maybe google "how whitelist (name of your antivirus)" to find a tutorial. Or give me it's name and I'll look for you if you're not very proficient with technical stuff ? I'll lurk around till you say "ok" or "nope" and wait for the result. If I'm not clear enough - ask again and I'll try to be clearer. And no, you're not retarded.
Walking/Running is like Ice-Skating. Shooting, you dont feel it. Driving is misunderstanding lol Graphics is under mediocre. Guns SoundEffects is no. If you compare it to (lets say) Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, all those are better in that budget game. Im saying that only, coz Ive heard about that game some unbelievable bullshit.
Halo Reach is a decade old (2010) Sniper G W C is a few weeks old. Unfair comparison. And anyway it's absolutely not the same animal - Halo is a run&gun-ish kind of FPS developed for the XBOX. To be fair I was quite surprised of the "floaty" controls at first. Then everything clicked after an hour or so. I went from "that's not how I remember it ?!? It sucks !!!" to "even better than I remembered"... Give it a fair try maybe ..?
I remember Ive played Halo: Combat Evolved on PC. It was about 2003/2004, and then even graphics and mechanics were SHIT. Same year were released Max Payne 2, IGI 2, MY All Time Best Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. All of those were much much better games. That year came out POSTAL 2, which eat that Halo on breakfast. Thats my opinion. EDIT: Installed and played about 50-60 minutes. Halo is not run&gun-ish its ice-skate-ish. I thought that Halo Reach is 2019, so I was wrong. Still its a crap, but I understand that game have a fans. We are Gamers.
the halo 2003 was shit on pc because this lazy asses just ported the console version and they didnt improved the 30 fps cap animations only a few halos are good but most of them are awful lazy ports

But Max Payne 2 is a third person shooter built around the bullet time mechanics. It would be like comparing say Tomb Raider with Golden Eye (both the original ones - yeah I love oldies). Once again - MP2 is one of my favorite games of all times bar none, but never thought about comparing it to Halo. To Stranglehold yeah. To the Enter the Matrix - fair enough. What do I like in Reach ? Let's see ... The tight shooting mechanics - never missed a shot because of the game, only because of my own clumsiness. The enemy AI reacting "realistically" to the many things happening on the field. And being vicious bastards to boot. The streamlined mix of vehicular combat - some vehicules are pretty fun once you get the controls right - and on foot skirmishes. The intense feeling of being a small cog in a big war machine with lots happening around out of your control. The freedom of movement on pretty big maps and strategic opportunities - flank however you want and try different approaches until you find the right one for you. No fixed "best way to do this". The cinematic set pieces - quiet exploration and then bam !!! Huge ships all around and hell breaks lose. And the whole presentation (graphics and of course the musical score) could be at least considered "mostly ok" even with very high standards.

It's not the same release anymore. The original one - HOODLUM's I think (?) - needed to be accessed with a xbox live account. And was weirdly packed. This one - CODEX's - doesn't need anything and comes as an iso with installer. Worth the wait and the reload IMO - even if that sucks it's better in the long run.

This game runs on a glorified calculator ?!? Incredible. You probably lost a good chunk of FPS for recording that (Radeon HD 8500M oh my god !!! 1G DDR3 VRAM !). For those of you with a tiny bit more powerful potato - especially if not a mobile one - you'll get very decent framerate even on "advanced" settings. An old i3 and a GT1030 and you're gold for this. And a kickass FPS shooter ร l'ancienne.

It is sometimes possible on some games but usually require a third party software (like Hamachi) or a clever workaround by the scene and involves fiddling with some settings or accounts or whatever. And in this specific case - nope.
Its a staggered release, in story order. So Reach first, then Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, Halo 4. The rest of the games are being released throughout 2020.

They have all of those on Xbox already (except reach), but they need time to test things and check if cross-play will be worth the effort before they get the other games in on PC.

So far no issues. No online obviously (maybe private servers?), but I'm just in this for the campaigns so no complaints there. One cool thing is that in Halo 1 you can hit a key to switch between the xbox graphics and the updated graphics in real time.

Filter for negative reviews only to get serious reviews pointing out all the issues with this lazy af port.
Also if you are out of the loop the developers left this collection totally broken for over 3 years on Xbox One before realizing "Hey, let's fix it and port it to PC for more $$$", but only after shutting down a fan-made game called ElDewrito that was basically Halo 3 multiplayer on PC (nicely working too, with server browser, community content and all).
They didn't even fix it properly then, it's still broken (and dead) on Xbox.
I'm happy I got this here for free when I noticed horrible floaty mouse inputs compared to my original Halo CE 2003 version as well as audio and music bugs.
Back in November I was also part of the beta for Reach PC, reported lots of bugs. Game released with ALL bugs still in the game and all my reports got closed by an automated bot telling me all the bugs have been fixed. The same thing seems to have happened with CE now, devs just don't give a F.

I think they did a good job of implementing it without overdoing it ? Weapons lose a bit of accuracy but still feel tight and precise. It works for me - YMMV as they say.
It adds a certain level of uncertainty to the firefights - and I understand why to some it can be a betrayal to the spirit of old school FPSs. Me ? I like the risk/reward it adds (shooting while moving is less precise but shooting standing still is a bad idea if you like your armor/head without holes).
Anyway - I like the new look. Bloom included - it adds some shininess to an otherwise pretty bleak color palette. Thank God there is no Depth of Field - that is something I really dislike in almost every game out there.
Takes a while to get used (again) to the slight "floatiness" of the controls - compared to modern shooters I mean. And the vehicles' controls take time to adjust to. They tightened it for this version - but it's still far from perfect.
A pretty good intro for the bundle I'd say.
But yeah, I hear the MP is an absolute blast to play.

It's probably an access rights problem : your game needs to write files to save and obviously can't.

There you should find a folder called "STEAM"
then inside there is a CODEX folder
and inside again there should be a folder called 976730
Tell me if you're there or if something is missing - I will wait here for your answer.
The probable work around is :
right click the "CODEX" folder and in properties (bottom of the menu probably) you need to find the "security" tab.
Click "EDIT" ("to change permissions blablabla edit").
Then for SYSTEM you need to tick "full control" and it'll tick all the boxes.
Do it also for "administrator" and for your account (if any).
Then click "apply". It could take some time.
Finally - go back to "properties" and on the "general" tab uncheck the "read only" tag. Once again - apply.
If all goes well - no error message or anything - I think it's gonna work.
If something pops up (can't access blablabla) and you can't do it then I'm sorry but it's above my meager pay grade...
Try all that and tell me if it's fixed ? I'll check my disqus regularely untill you tell me just to be sure.

If you installed the game by copy-pasting the files from the archive without an iso installer - don't bother and download the CODEX one so you won't have to identify via Xbox shenanigans.
If you installed from the CODEX iso and got this result, then you need to manually install the files from the CODEX folder (on the iso) to the game and whitelist the launcher (MCC-Win64-Shipping.exe) in your anti v1rus. Or plain and simple disable your antiv1rus before launching the game.
You need to get an iso called
"codex-halo.the.master.chief.collection.halo.reach.iso".
The torrent will give you that - I have no clue about the parted files on Google drive and such.
If you have an archive which contains the games files then it's the wrong release. You could play with an xbox account it seems (no idea if it's true but somebody said so earlier).
Anyway, once you get the iso - mount, install and check if your AV deletes the crack. In which case : copy the crack from the CODEX folder and whitelist it in your AV.
If not clear : ask again I'll try to be better at explaining.
Any idea if the Codex crack will work with this download? Doesn't seem to be a rip or repack. Does Codex make their cracks available as standalone downloads without having to download the entire game?
