why people hating on KEMCO games? i've played some and it was quite good and it works well since the game they make is still trying to keep giving some spices to the game and keep it fresh as an RPG games to keep people playing a long run
Totally agree. Games from KEMCO are good. They just not as good as those from ATLUS, NAMCO or SQUARE - and that's the reason, why some people think they are bad. And i like the games, made with RPGmaker - because they made by creative people - not by soulless, faceless and greedy megacorporations.

It's just reused garbage. I believe Bennett Foddy had quite a bit to say about that in the game "Getting over it with Bennett Foddy". The same way that the moment food touches the sink it becomes garbage, similarly the moment assets leave their games they become garbage. This game is a mishmash of nothing but other developers garbage, and NOBODY in the industry wants absolute heaps of trash for games in the steam store even more. Not even the pirates who don't even bother to pay for the games. Because it's just garbage.
and i'm pretty sure that the sprites you mentioned also is a open-to-public source aka open source sprite. or maybe they've bought the right to use the sprite or anything else. also, why care so much about sprites when you can enjoy the RPG game as a story ? i never give too much thought about graphical being too bad or reusable or something. when an rpg game is good, then it's good, as simple as that. idk if you are one of the bandwagon hater but i just a normal rpg gamer and i guess i had quite a lot of my share of rpg game already to say these games made by KEMCO is bad. yeah, been playing RPG for more than 15 years now i guess and i still like every game for what it is, without giving too much comparison and ended up ruining the experience
how is kemco keeping itself in business?? they literally just make games out of recycled assets and character design. are people actually buying their games???? i
2D rpgs are becoming rare so people play these when they've no more AA rpgs left. You can complain as much as you want but the fact is there is demand and Kemco is filling it. Just like we've every year a new Call of Duty or whatever FPS.
not even the mechanics are new. they literally just mix and mash stuff from other classic rpg, mostly from NIS games. they put nothing on the table that's actually new. and they don't even polish it. it's like if deviantart fan-artists made games.
Kemco games are a "fine" example of mass produced easily made RPG games. I've played a few of them, while they're ok, they're nothing to write home about. They don't break ground, nor do they innovate, they simply create games, ones that are easy to port between mobile & PC for maximum profit.
