Got it to work for me! I'm not tech savvy at all so I was surprised the game ran for me. For people who are curious:

• Download the game from one of the download links
• Go to the "Instructions on how to install" link above
• Download Daemon Tools
• Unzip Daemon Tools & the Zoo Tycoon RAR files
• You will see 2 folders in Zoo Tycoon called CD1 and CD2. Not sure what CD2 is for, but if you open CD1, you will see a BIN and a CUE file.
• Open Daemon Tools Pro Advanced. You'll see in the left column 3 items: image catalogue, recently used images, and DVD/CD roms. You'll be in image catalog by default. Drag the CD1 BIN and CUE files into the empty area. You will see one icon, the Zoo Tycoon icon after. Now you can click "Mount" on the top menu, it's a play button that will turn green once you've dragged the files into Daemon.
• Go to DVD/CD roms, and you'll see it listed as a "virtual device" as your computer's default disk drives (whether that be E:, F:, etc.)
• Double click and install the game. Helpful to say you want a desktop icon for easy access :)
• And I believe that every time you want to play the game (e.g. if you turn your computer off, and the next day you power it back on) you have to open Daemon Tools, and make sure Zoo Tycoon is in your disk drive. (Because otherwise if you just click your zoo desktop icon, it'll say to install the disk before you play. Remember that it was a CD ROM game back in 2001.)
• If it's not there, just click on the zoo icon in the "image catalog", hit "mount", (don't install the game again), then click on your desktop icon :) Happy playing!

there's not a disc 1 disc 2 thing with this is there?

I mounted this to my drive and installed, but when I try to run it the icon appears in my taskbar for a few seconds before disappearing, with nothing happening. I have attempted to run this in both Windows XP and Windows 98 compatibility mode, but the same thing happens.

I tried to install it but when i try to mount the files it says "error in command line", any help?!

Works fine here on W10 Pro.
Install disc 1. Install disc 2. When game is launched, do NOT install DirectPlay. No crack needed.

This needs to be deleted. This file is a nested ZIP with an exe that is a VIRUS, not a crack or the "download" he stated.

i downloaded Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection, Installed it, but it wont run. it just says its not responding in my Task Manager. any ideas on how to fix it?
