Okay i downloaded this game from 1337x and the name was something like prison architect perfect storm PLAZA and when i downloaded it, a dvd drive appearred on ''This PC'' along with the other drives and i dont know what to do is that a virus??? When i go into that drive theres setup for the game but now i dont want to run the setup cuz ive never seen this happen before PLEASE someone tell me is this a virus????
Did you download an ISO or an EXE file? If yes, then delete it. Sites like this only use Zip files to store the setup data (or pre-installed game), also It might worth taking a quick glance at the size of your download. It shouldn't be much smaller than what's indicated in the min. sys. req. ( like 3 or 4 MB EXEs)
its not a virus. i downloaded the game before and this is how it looks. i know its odd but not a virus unless on the virus riddled route to downloading from this webiste you fell for one of the fake downloads

yea i tried that but notepad just loads forever and i have to close process. Ill try again. I have mods they show up under mods but are not in game. I think its supposed to be 3 files to a mod but I got 2. maybe i need to install differently. Thanks

Game works great, but I'm having trouble disabling saving to the cloud. I checked SteamConfig.ini, and set both Online and Logged In to 0, but it is still saving to the cloud! There was a Youtube video on how to fix it at one point, but it is obsolete due to the file not being present. Any ideas?
what? there is no virus dude. first of all, every steam api64 will be a virus for a anti-virus software. You have to manually make an exceeption for your folder or a single api. if you have any proof/evidence for your virus, then post it here, name the link (e.g. "the googledrive link is broken!" or "there is a virus in the version 1.67.4 patch/update. it slows you internet!") no one can help you if you dont tell enough details... (maybe even use a screenshot...)

If you want the game with the new Going Green pack, just download it from https://pcgamestorrents.com/prison-architect-going-green-razor1911.html. It's their torrent site. Open the .iso file and install the base game, and then install all the game packs from the dlc folder before you launch the game.

Maybe the base game is the same version as this one, but I'm not sure. It's probably better if you use the base game installer from the torrent site instead of this one.
Yo the updates don't work. I tried installing them in Marik's order but it just shows me a hash mismatch error message. I also didn't get an ISO file or any of the sort, it was pre-cracked. I assume this is because the updates were meant for the download with the ISO, but since I didn't have an ISO and its files the update just straight up bricked. Either that or the update has already been applied? It does say on the download that it's version 1.4. Maybe it's already been pre-updated? I don't really know, I'll have to try by myself. Marik if you're reading this I'd appreciate it if you could maybe tell me how a did something wrong. I downloaded the full game, and then downloaded the HOTFIX update, started the setup and set the destination to the game folder, and it just spit red error messages at me.
your game must be clean extract, still not updated yet after u extract it. then extract like i told in comment below for version 1.05 just replace the subfolder from main game with the update try full version from PLAZA, works for me

download the full game first, then download the 4 patches replace the files in full games by downloading the 4 update in order (hotfix > v1.02 > v1.03 > v1.04), then replace the crack

As it is a cracked version the save cloud is causing a lot of problems and it is impossible to disable it by the game itself and I did not find solutions on the web about it but it has been a while since I played

yup, i get games for and from this site like most people who use it, and most people dont complain about the ads. To all who's going to the comment section to find the solution for hotfix update having mismatch. You don't need to, simply go to game directory and start the game via Prison Architect.exe and NOT from the launcher folder. So there's no need for the http://pcgamestorrents.com bullshittery
Does the hotfix and 1.02 not work for anyone, I simply run the setup in those 2 files and then copy the contents of the plaza folder over to where the game is and it does not work at all, does this happen to anyone else. So now im deciding between taking a file I found elsewhere that had the newest version but no dlc or this one w/ dlc but without the 2 newest updates

The update hotfix is in Plaza which uses steam file, and it's not compatible with the installation which is the GOG version of the game, so it doesn't work

I was able to install it, launch it, then when Itry sandbox mode, the game crash when generating map >.> Even the story mod crash, lol Edit: fixed it > go to option > experimental > check the "Disable start up screen". Seems it was their logo video that was making me crash lol

Well there is a waste of my data, I tried downloading it from Google drive it said that the file is corrupt so I ignored it and downloaded it from mega and my rar said that the file was corrupt.
there's a really big problem with cloud saves they're inaccessible and there is no information on the internet and cloud save is impossible to disable but checking the game files I found a method you have to go to the game folder and edit the steam_emu.ini file in "### Set Steam connection to offline mode ### Offline = 0" change 0 to 1 :) i dont speak english very well but my portuguese and spanish are good
Everyone should see this. I've been having problems with cloud saving since it was first introduced because it makes it impossible to save edit, and at some point I can't even save at all and I have to rely purely on the auto save feature. The only solution available on the internet is to "disable the cloud save option", the option was locked and grayed out for me. But this one works. Thanks, man.
Theres no malware/adware/spyware anything-ware in the file itself. Your antivirus just thinks it may be harmful because its from a website that has TONS of downloads, or the code itself is weirdly encrypted

If you have a problem of your game crashing on start up after adding mods to your game delete the Introversion folder (and this will delete saves that are not on the cloud) the folder should be located in your appdata witch you can just hold window key and press r type in "appdata" then go in the local folder then find Introversion folder and delete it. or you can avoid this if you just buy the game except if you're a broke ass nigga like me

The game all most all the time CRASHES!!! I can't run a 700 people prison because of the crashes every so often and always have to save every like 30 seconds. Also, there is no option available to not store it on the cloud (it's blocked.)

I can't start any programs(ex.Alochol group therapy,Workshop Safety induction). When I press the button to start a program, it just makes a "Click" sound , but it doesn't start it.

If you are using windows 8, 9 or 10: Right click on the icon and click properties. Change the compatibility mode to windows 7 and allow it to run as administrator (both of these can be found in the 3rd tab). It should solve the problem. Sometimes it is a problem of the game not being allowed to read the files (this is why you need to allow it to run as administrator). Also the compatibility ensures there is no problems between versions of operating systems. If it still didn't help then I would recommend to reinstall it. If you are using Windows 7 or XP: Right click on the icon and click properties. Allow it to run as administrator. This should fix your problem, but it if doesn't try to reinstall the game. If you are using older then XP: Get a new operating system. There is no way you will be able to run a newer game on that. If you insist on getting one for free then be careful as they can have attached things to them that will install with the operating system and it isn't very good as these can be viruses or other things.
It's version 7. If you want temperature you need enable weather. (start a new prison and set a tick for weather or go to your prison press esc go to extras then go to map settings and enable weather.)

Hello other Ben, This problem is usually caused by F-Secure deleting the file but this also could be caused from another safety program I think. I usually fix this by just right clicking F-Secure down in the bottom right and click Unload. It should let you then extract the game with steam.api. If you see a menu pop up from F-Secure saying they detected steam.api to be a virus make sure you dont allow them to delete the file. I can assure you all files are virus free. Make sure you Re-Upload F-Secure when you are done just in case you catch a virus from somewhere else and always remember to Unload F-Secure the next time you play or else F-Secure will delete the file again.

Thats your monitor saying that its not the resolution that the game plays at be default is not supported, Try plugging in a dif one and change the settings lol.
it may dont need anything so you can build the room where you want, whit the size and things you want, like the solitary cell, but if it doesnt show for any room like kitchens... it may be a bug, and you can find the requirements in the game website

Any idea why, when the game runs, I am asked to log into steam then directed to the games store page (as when running games not installed on your account?) Even after; Steam is completely closed, Anti-Virus disabled, file re-downloaded, and tested on another computer (where it works, but the computer is too slow to run it well.)
Are you sure you cracked the game? It's the same case for pretty much every other game on this site, unless you crack it, it'll just keep taking you back to the steam page
As stated below, it doesn't need a crack. It just refuses to work without pretty much any external programs running and windows isn't automatically detecting the api file as a virus and corrupting it because it works on other computers after I copied it from the one it doesn't work on. It's really weird..
Sometimes this kind of thing with the game being horrendously complicated with the way it works happens, let's just be happy that it's rare when it does.
You don't need to crack this game. Just drop the folder anywhere and run the exe file. But don't put it in your steamapps folder. Steam won't like it...
Steam Workshop Downloader doesn't work, hasn't worked in a LONG time. Pretty sure whoever made that website abandoned it. I found a web script called "Advanced steam workshop downloader" but it downloads .mod folders that don't work.

Step 1: Grab the Mod off of Steam workshop. NOTICE: at the time of this writing Some mods do not work with Newst version.
Step 2: Go to http://steamworkshopdownloa... and paste the link

Step 4: Once you downloaded mod it should come in a .MOD type of file, Open it with WINRAR, if it asks you what file to open as just say winrar
Step 5: You will see the .MOD file in the winrar Click the file and press Alt+V, Now you should see a few or 1 folder and 1 txt doccment, Whatever is there,
Step 6: Open your game, in menu click options then click open save folder, Quit the game once it opens it,
Step 7: Click mods folder, Then Make a new folder and rember what we did in step 5? go back to that step and then copy the files to the new folder in the mods folder
Step 8: Once done with that, open game, go to EXTRAS and then to mods and activate the mods
This can be confusing, Mostly on Step's 7 and 8 and maybe Step 5

Guild 2: How to download maps off of STEAMWORKSHOP,
Very easy: Just follow these steps
Step 1: Find your maps here http://steamcommunity.com/work...

Step 3: Copy the Map link from steam workshop and paste in steam workshop downloader, Now once you download it open the game go to options and click open save folder, Once it opens close the game and click the folder that saids saves.
Step 4: It should come in a .prison file, Drag that prison file to the saves folder

the maps and check to be sure the files are there. and Bam go fire up
escape mode and jump in the prison or edit the prison to your liking's
before.. Have fun!
That guild above should not be confusing and guess what it's just opening a folder then dragging and dropping a file. No extracting or any other bull crap.
A few tips in Escape mode for you ( This can change)
In the new update, You can not go on shotgun Rampages anymore cause now Ammo is limited, However a mod can give you unlimited ammo again. Just search steamworkshop. P.S Save your ammo when you need it. this is for all Ranged weapons
In the new update, Fire's can now be stopped in 3 ways, 1 way if you are fighting and you click END Fight any fires made by you will be put out even with no firefighters, Same thing if you press surrender or you are knocked out. (there's a glitch were the fire will contain to burn, And there's 1 more glitch, Sometimes the fire DEPT don't come, i was able to burn down half the prison before the guards knocked me out)
You may think yay i burned the walls down now time to escape. Nope, The Workers now repair the walls in the new update.
Starting Huge riots IS Not a good idea, Why? Well in the new update starting Huge riots will cause the game to send a a LOT of RIOT police! You better hope you can slip away from the chaos or be prepared to fight RIOT police and the rioters themselves
TIP: If the prison has a lot of Metal detectors with no way around them, Take out the main power source or burn down a room which might have the Power Lines. Then those Metal detectors wont work (until power comes on again) try burning down Kitchens, Main hallways as they seem to be the areas were the person runs the (Underground power lines as i call it)

Edit: fixed it > go to option > experimental > check the "Disable start up screen".
Seems it was their logo video that was making me crash lol

Right click on the icon and click properties. Change the compatibility mode to
windows 7 and allow it to run as administrator (both of these can be found
in the 3rd tab). It should solve the problem. Sometimes it is a problem of the
game not being allowed to read the files (this is why you need to allow it to
run as administrator). Also the compatibility ensures there is no problems
between versions of operating systems. If it still didn't help then I would
recommend to reinstall it.
If you are using Windows 7 or XP:
Right click on the icon and click properties. Allow it to run as administrator.
This should fix your problem, but it if doesn't try to reinstall the game.
If you are using older then XP:
Get a new operating system. There is no way you will be able to run a
newer game on that. If you insist on getting one for free then be careful as
they can have attached things to them that will install with the operating
system and it isn't very good as these can be viruses or other things.

My 'technology department; has informed me that instead of opening it through winrar save it as .zip so its easier to open because on my PC it doesnt work.
