Dude, the narrative is sick(in a bad way), it is bad translated. The only thing I could enjoy were some background songs, the voice acting(i'm not used to chinese, but the voice is pretty good at least for me), and the cg. is a hell trying to understand what they say with that shitty translation.
Hello there fellow fanboy... I +1 this... The story is actually good and not shitty like any other H-RPG games... This one caters more to people who really like dark stories though... I really can't wait to see the sequels and play the translated version.. I heard it's getting more fucked up in the sequels...
Is it that the Chinese literally cannot ever communicate with or find anybody who could AT LEAST translate their game descriptions? Or are they just too proud of their language to ever ask for anything like that from non-Chinese people and they just decide to try to do it on their own instead? Can somebody find me ANY Chinese game not made by some huge studio that actually has... a somewhat normal description page? A description that wouldn't even make me think "oh it's a Chinese game, huh?" when reading it.
Not just Chinese, I think most eastern countries use their own languages. Be it Japanese, Korean, South-eastern countries, or whatever. Reasons might include English isn't their official language, or hasn't been included in mandatory subject and what-not. And I think China market alone is big enough to sustain itself, though I remain doubtful. Another thing to consider is their highly competitive environment which drives cost of living so hiring a translator wouldn't be efficient solution for an indie developer still. But that's just my speculation.
There are too many variables to consider. There is some collaboration between the East and the West when it comes to things like this but mostly, it has to do with the laws governing each country. If we take away the fact that China's gaming industry is still developing, the propaganda inherent to such games, copyright conflicts, controlled media (what goes in and out of country), China's need to maintain their historical accuracy in depiction of historical figures (afraid people would butcher the game and the Chinese government wouldn't be able to stop it), lack of interest in hiring translators to cater to an international audience or even have need of it since China already is a major baseline for sales and therefore catered specifically to the Chinese without regard to international reception (not that the minuscule attempts they tried had any success), I could go on and on about different issues but mainly, it's government and lack of interest in the West with regards to Chinese games.
I don't remember how it works in their mythology. Fact is, it's not a decaying reanimated corpse. Something about some parts of soul leaving the body and others remaing cause imbalance... Point is, it's not supposed to smell.
