I had another solution to that patch trouble. An alternate one if you dont have the internet to di what char did with downloading patch. Well half of it... do that thing when the installation get to the patch part. Quickly copy the files to the desktop. Once there, just copy and paste the prophet file into the “release” folder in the “builds” folder. Then play the game without hassle. Tried it and it worked all the way
OceanOfGames is full of cryptovirus (virus that will use your pc WITHOUT your contentment to mne crypto currency such as bitcoin,Litcoin...etc) As for why is 10GB here and 2GB in another website, it's because igg doesn't have the repacked version.
Or better yet, instead of going through all the hassle of this crappy installer, just Google "BioShock RG Mechanics" and yes, it DOES come with patch 1.1
Small problem, Char, your executable got flagged and the link doesn't work, probably some do-gooder reported it or something, I recommend using a different file hosting website.
Alright, through trial and error I found a fix for the patch issues. Once you finish installation and get the error and hit cancel, it will delete the installed files. The fix is to move the files (Defaultly located at C:/Program Files (x86)/2KGames/Bioshock or C:/Program Files/2KGames/Bioshock) to your desktop before hitting cancel, installing the crack by moving the files from the PROPHET folder in the folder with the setup file to the folder you moved in the previous step, then manually downloading the patch from the Bioshock website and installing that. In the middle of setup, it will have an error with Bioshock.exe but it will be fixed later on so you can ignore it. Once it is complete, download the Patched Cracked Executable and rename the file extension from zipd to zip. Once that is done, you can replace the file at Bioshock/Builds/Release with the file in the zip. i tried this way and it didnt work, then i thought wait, why wont i try install this game normal way, i mean, install and then crack from the iso to the game folder. Ofc there is a problem where instalation failing to patch game and you have to copy game files before exiting instalation but next steps are just not needed, you just misleading ppl i almost deleted this game because i tried 1st reworked one and i couldnt start it and then this sht wouldnt start... but after i just put crack from prophet to builds/release game was working. And i ve played about 2 hrs now i hope it will be ok. Tbh i this is very suspicious why you tell ppl to download your own exe file which is packed to zip and then file is renamed so antiviruses wont detect it as valid file, i dont know something is wrong here. Update: I opened the game today and it didn't start, exe stopped working like before. I was like, wtf?? Then I tried to figure out what I did since yesterday and one thing that I was doing was turning recording mixer on and off after closing the game. So I turned it on and game started and is working fine.. So there is still a problem with this mixer stuff in updated v version, at least in my case. So to sum it up: -if u install game from ISO and use crack from ISO game should start but without a sound, you can fix it by turning on record mixer before you open the game. Problem is, there is a bug at arcadia chapter where you can't proceed with story because safe where should be items is empty. -you can patch the game now like me or like sadchar said -patched version won't start if you have recording mixer turned off (exe stopped working) at least in my case years of playing cracked games forced me to find a solution ;) now I am wondering if reworked one had same problem and I could play it with this recording mixer on...
You obviously did something wrong with the steps, or they just updated the files finally. Either way, don't blame me for spreading malicious files. A singular engine detected a false positive, which means literally nothing. Even the moderators of the site verified and pinned the method as working, so please don't throw slander on my name for no actual reason.
Well, it was all good till arcadia chapter and safe with code that was empty. So i tried to patch this Game now because why not, and after a patching was done i tried with old exe, game didnt,start. Then i used yours one again and this Time it worked... I am sure i did everything Right before but it wasnt working before. Well, thanks anyway, dont be so touchy.
So do you move the files inside "C:/Program Files/2KGames/Bioshock" to the desktop? or the entire "Bioshock" folder itself? And do you place the PROPHET crack inside "Bioshock"?
Hi, i followed the instruction, and i have problem with instaling 1.1 patch part (without patch 1.1 it works fine, but on non-patched version i have arcadia safe glitch that stops me from progressing). I did everything you said step by step (at least i think so), but for some reason when i try to run bioshock.exe i got "bioshock" image and then "bioshock.exe has stopped working". Do you know what could i possibly did wrong? Already have tried downloading patch and crack from different souces, so it's propably mine fault.
Bioshock image appears on game bootup, try updating your graphics card, then reinstalling the official update, then replacing the exe with the one I linked

This might be fixed in the update, but I have another fix for a glitch at the start of the game down there as well. It basically is just that the game didn't process audio but loads correctly, and closed captions fail to load and the game doesn't process any events so you're stuck at the start of Rapture with a model stuck in front of you.
"The Bioshock patch file is corrupt." This message shows up whenever I try to install it. Tried running both of the "setup.exe" files. I'm no newbie to installing games downloaded from igg-games, either. Does someone know what the problem is?

So if you were directly replacing it with the zip or if you did it correct and just replaced it with the game files afterwards that's the issue. The issue with the game crashing after continuing or starting a new game is due to the executable not being correct, sorry for any confusion in the steps

However, I greatly appreciate you offering to put it on a dropbox. I used the patch executable from the official link you provided, and once it had put the necessary files in the folder, that's when I re-applied the crack from the prophet folder on the ISO, to see if I could use these cracked files in place of the executable I could not access, whereupon I came into that error with the game crashing. Undoubtedly, it would have been a self-made problem, but thank you for the extra info

Install the Cracked files first, and then the official update, and then the patched executable. I'm not at my computer at the moment but I'll upload the crack to dropbox when I have the chance

Once you install the official one, it'll have a small error since the Bioshock exe is cracked. Download the Patched Cracked Executable and replace the one in the Builds/Release folder with the new one and it should be running completely fine with the updated version.

Just incase someone got the same problem as me (new comer in game pirating). After extracting the file i found 3 differents setup.exe , so i just run all of it until one of it works (downloading patch). Then i copy the content of ''PHROPET" folder. Paste & Replace it in deffault Bioshock installed folder "C\Program Files\2k Games\ Bioshock\Builds\Release". Run Bioshock.exe i just paste and voila, it works.
I checked on steam and a lot of people reported issues with the remastered version saying that it had crashes and bugs. Doesn't matter if you have a better pc, get the original version of bioshock

For everyone here getting scared off by the comments, don't worry the game works perfectly fine. Here's what you should do:
Chances are, you're going to get a "no sound" problem after the intro. If you're on Windows 10, this is bound to happen. To fix this, right click the little speaker at the bottom, right click "Recording Devices". Then, when at recording devices, just right click wherever and click the option, "Show Disabled Devices". You should see another device pop up, called "Stereo Mix". Enable Stereo Mix and then run the game in compatibility with XP SP3. The game's sound should work then. This isn't the igg's fault, it's simply your own computer's device that's disabled.
The game is already cracked, all you have to do is run the setup after extracting the files from it's zip folders. Instead of scaring people away by posting negative comments about the game not having sound or the game not working, just say nothing. Find a fix for it instead.
Hmm, I didn't have that kind of problem. Try running it in administrator and set the compatibility in properties to XP SP 3. Other than that, you should try and look for answers on google, I'm sure someone has had the same problem as you.
Sorry for the late reply. Does it give you any type of error when it crashes? When you open it, what does it do? Does it go into the game for a while or does it just not open?
